Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a joining composite of components by means of a laser welding device according to the preamble of patent claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method.
[0002] Laser welding of hairpins is, of course, known in principle and is already disclosed, for example, in DE 10 2022 127 730 A1. This involves welding hairpins together.
[0003] The object of the invention is to design an arrangement and preparation of components to one another in such a way that a particularly efficient and compact welded connection for the two components is made possible.
[0004] This object is achieved according to the invention by a joining composite according to claim 1 and by means of a method according to the invention. Advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in the dependent claims.
[0005] A first aspect of the invention relates to a joining assembly of components, in particular hairpins, by means of a laser welding device, comprising a first component and a second component, which represent hairpins and / or busbars, which are arranged along respective longitudinal sides and are welded to one another by laser welding in the region of their respective end faces.
[0006] In order to achieve the object of the invention, it is provided that the first component is arranged on the second component in such a way that the first component has a projection which is at least partially slipped over the region of the end face of the second component and the components are thus welded together in respective end regions, in particular in the region of their respective end faces. In other words, the first and the second component are held together in such a way, for example by means of a clamping device, so that a projection is provided in the longitudinal direction of extent of the first component. This projection means that the first component is arranged higher than the second component. In a horizontal arrangement, the first component would be shown as longer than the second component. In other words, two components are arranged next to one another, the first being longer than the second, in order to provide a projection.By means of this overhang, it is intended to overlap or slip over the end face of the second component. This means that the overhang is bent or folded or slipped over or overlapped over this end region or over the area of the end face of the second component. This creates a special arrangement of the first and second components to one another, with this partial slipping over providing a new surface for welding the two components together. In this case, the overhang, which is now bent, is welded to the end region of the second component, whereby the respective melts of the two components are joined together to form a complete melt, whereby the two components or the hairpins and / or busbars are welded together.
[0007] In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the overhang is slipped over in such a way that the end face of the second component is covered essentially over its entire circumference. In this case, it is provided that the end face is thus covered over its entire circumference, i.e. the overhang is bent, for example, by 90 degrees, and the end face of the second component is arranged in the bending corner. This results in a gap between the edge of the end and the long side of the second component and the overhang, it being provided here that the laser beam is aimed at this edge and thus the respective melts are welded together. The respective melts on the first and second components are heated by the laser beam in such a way that they merge into one another and thus represent a complete melt.
[0008] In another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the projection is folded over in such a way that a portion of the projection at least partially abuts against a further longitudinal side of the second component, opposite the longitudinal side. In this case, the projection is arranged in a U-shape on the first component, and the second component is inserted into the inner U-shape of the projection. The laser beams are then directed at the further longitudinal side and at the end face of the projection, thus enabling the two components to be welded together.
[0009] In another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the components are welded together along their respective widths. In this case, the laser beam is directed toward the widths, whereby the width, for example, with the U-shape, and the width of the second component are fused together to form a single melt.
[0010] In another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the second component is arranged at least partially perpendicular to the first component and is welded together in the region of their respective end faces. Furthermore, the two components are arranged at an angle to one another and subsequently welded, whereby the angle of the arrangement can be approximately 90 degrees, for example. In particular, this provides a further possibility for holding the two components together, whereby different angles to one another are also possible.
[0011] In another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the overhang is folded over in such a way that a wide side of the second component is essentially completely covered. As previously mentioned, the overhang is folded, for example, by 90 degrees, and the front side of the second component is arranged in this fold. A welded connection is made between the edge of the front side of the first component and the wide side of the second component.
[0012] In another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the overhang is folded over in such a way that a portion of the overhang at least partially abuts against a further longitudinal side of the second component opposite the longitudinal side. Thus, the first component is again created or manufactured with a U-shape, with the second component being arranged within the inner U-shape, thus creating a welded connection between the width of the second component and the front of the first component.
[0013] In another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first component is welded together at its wide side and the second component at its front side. This time, the laser beam is not directed vertically from top to bottom, but rather laterally, so that the wide side or U-shape and the front side of the second component are welded together.
[0014] In another advantageous embodiment of the invention, a projection is folded over in such a way that a portion of the projection at least partially abuts against a further longitudinal side of the second component opposite the longitudinal side, and the components are welded together by means of a welded joint between the end face of the first component and the further longitudinal side of the second component. This results in a particularly large-area, new type of welding or welded joint.
[0015] A further aspect of the invention relates to a method for producing a joint of components by means of a laser welding device, in which a first component and a second component, which are arranged alongside one another along respective longitudinal sides, are welded together by laser welding in the region of their respective end faces. In this case, it is provided that the first component is arranged on the second component in such a way that a projection is provided by the first component, which is at least partially slipped over the region of the end face of the second component and the components are thus welded together in the region of their respective end faces. This means that the method is designed to weld the various arrangements of the two components together. Furthermore, it is also possible to control the arrangement of the two components by means of an optical detection device.
[0016] Further advantages, features, and details of the invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments and from the drawings. The features and combinations of features mentioned above in the description, as well as the features and combinations of features mentioned below in the description of the figures and / or shown alone in the figures, can be used not only in the respective specified combinations, but also in other combinations or on their own, without departing from the scope of the invention.
[0017] Showing: Fig. 1 a first perspective view of the joint with a projection of one component over the other; Fig. 2 a further perspective view of the joint with a welded connection; Fig. 3 a perspective view of the joint with the welded connection on the width side of the components; Fig. 4 a further perspective view of the joint with an at least partially turned-over projection of the first component; Fig. 5 a further embodiment of the joint with a welded joint; and Fig. 6 a further perspective view of the design of the joint with a welded connection on one width side.
[0018] In the figures, identical and functionally identical elements are provided with the same reference symbols.
[0019] The Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a joint 10 of components 14, 16, which are welded together by a laser welding device 12, which is not yet shown. The first component 14 is arranged on the second component 16 in such a way that the first component 14 has a projection 15 which is slipped over the region of the end face 24 of the second component 16, wherein the projection 15 is slipped over in such a way that a partial region 15a of the projection 15 at least partially rests on a further longitudinal side 20a of the second component 16 opposite a longitudinal side 20. The projection is thus slipped over in such a way that the end face 24 of the second component 16 is completely covered. An angle β here is 180 degrees in order to illustrate the particularly U-shaped configuration of the second component or of the projection of the second component here.
[0020] In particular, it is provided here to use a method for producing the joint 10 of components 14, 16 by means of the laser welding device 12 (not shown), in which method the first component 14 and the second component 16, which are arranged alongside one another along respective longitudinal sides 18, 20, are welded together by laser welding in the region of their respective end faces 22, 24. It is provided here that the first component is arranged on the second component in such a way that a projection is provided by the first component, which is completely slipped over the region of the end face 24 of the second component 16, and the components are thus welded together in the region of their respective end faces.
[0021] Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 show different types of welding, where in the Fig. 2 shows a perspective view of the joint 10, in which a laser beam from the laser welding device 12 is directed from top to bottom onto the joint. Thus, one end face of the first component is welded to the other longitudinal side 20a of the second component 16. In particular, a possible welding depth 17a is also shown, starting from the welded joint 17, which can extend from the turned-over end 15a into the second component 16 or even into the other side of the first component 14. This demonstrates the increased tolerance of the process to a fluctuating welding depth.
[0022] Fig. 3, however, shows a vertical illumination of the joint 10 by means of the laser welding device 12, whereby the broad sides 21 and 23 of the first component 14 and the second component 16 are welded together.
[0023] Fig. 4 shows a perspective view of the joint 10 comprising the first component 14 and the second component 16, wherein the laser beam is directed horizontally from top to bottom by the laser welding device 12 onto the end face of the second component 16 and onto the edge of the end face of the first component 14 with the inner surface 18 of the first component 14. This creates a melt 17 or a weld 17, which is specifically created between the two components 14, 16.
[0024] Fig. Figure 5 shows a further embodiment in a perspective view, in which the joining assembly 10 represents the first components 14 and 16, but these are arranged perpendicular to each other and welded together in the region of their respective end faces 22, 24. Analogous to the previously shown Fig. 1 to 3, the projection 15 is also turned over in such a way that a partial area 15a of the projection 15 at least partially abuts against a further longitudinal side 20a of the second component 16 opposite the longitudinal side 20. Here, too, the laser welding device 12 is intended to direct the laser beam from top to bottom onto the edge of the partial area 15a of the projection 15 and onto the further longitudinal side 20a of the second component 16. This results in a clear welded joint 17, with the difference that the components 14, 16 are arranged perpendicular to one another.
[0025] Fig.6 shows a further perspective view of the joint 10 of the first component 14 and the second component 16, wherein it is provided here that with a projection 15 that is slipped over such that a partial region 15a of the projection 15 at least partially rests against a further longitudinal side 20a of the second component 16 opposite the longitudinal side 20, the components 14, 16 are welded together by means of a welded connection between the end face 22 of the first component and the further longitudinal side 20a of the second component 16. In particular, the laser beam of the laser welding device 12 is directed horizontally onto the width sides of the components 14, 16, whereby the welded connection or melt 17 is arranged laterally.
