Description

The present invention relates to a wheel bearing unit for a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle.Prior ArtWheel bearing units for motor vehicles are known in the prior art in a multiplicity of embodiments. It is known to provide a force transmission between a drive shaft and a wheel bearing hub via a radial toothing or a spur toothing. A spur toothing can be formed, for example, on the wheel-side end of the drive shaft, more precisely on the bell of the constant velocity joint, referred to below as a joint bell. The spur toothing of the joint bell can in turn be in engagement with a correspondingly configured spur toothing of the wheel bearing hub, so that a corresponding torque of the drive shaft can be transmitted to the wheel bearing hub.The mounting of the wheel bearing unit is comparatively complex here, since as a rule the wheel bearing hub is first fastened to a wheel carrier, and subsequently the joint bell is inserted into the wheel carrier, wherein the connection via the spur tooth arrangements between the wheel bearing hub and the joint bell is effected in a blind manner. Thus, during the assembly of the joint bell and the wheel bearing hub, it can occur that the teeth of the spur toothing of the joint bell and the teeth of the spur toothing of the wheel bearing hub meet one another instead of engage one another. This means that the teeth of the spur toothing of the joint bell do not engage in the tooth gaps of the spur toothing of the wheel bearing hub. When the joint bell and the wheel bearing hub are braced in this so-called tooth-on-tooth position of the two spur toothings, the tooth tips of the two spur toothings are pressed against one another and can only be brought at a later point in time and with the aid of a comparatively great exertion of force into the so-called tooth-in-tooth position, in which the two spur toothings engage one another. This can lead to a loss of prestressing force of the joint bell-wheel bearing hub connection and / or damage to the spur tooth arrangements. In particular, in order to prevent a reduction of the prestressing force, various solutions are known in the prior art. For example, DE 10 2007 057 047 A1 discloses a method for assembling a wheel hub component with a shaft joint component connected thereto in a rotationally fixed manner and a corresponding connection arrangement.Furthermore, the publications DE 10 2020 117 721 B3 disclose a wheel bearing joint unit with a spur toothing with two centering devices for centering the first and second spur toothing. The document DE 10 2022 100 133 B3 discloses a wheel bearing unit according to the preamble of claim 1.It has now been found that there is a further need to improve a known wheel bearing unit for a vehicle, in particular to provide a wheel bearing unit which can be mounted more easily and / or in particular can reduce a risk for a tooth-on-tooth position.Against this background, it is an object of the present invention to provide an improved wheel bearing unit for a vehicle which can be mounted in particular more easily and / or further in particular can reduce a risk for a tooth-on-tooth position.Disclosure of the InventionThese and other objects, which will be mentioned or can be recognized by the skilled person upon reading the following description, are achieved by the subjects of the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments and developments can be taken from the dependent claims and the following description. The wheel bearing unit according to the invention for a vehicle, in particular for a motor vehicle, such as a car or a truck, for example, has a wheel bearing arrangement with a first spur toothing, a joint bell of a drive shaft with a second spur toothing, a wheel bearing alignment element and a joint bell alignment element. The wheel bearing alignment element is provided on the wheel bearing arrangement and the joint bell alignment element is provided on the joint bell. In this case, the wheel bearing alignment element and the joint bell alignment element are arranged opposite one another in the radial direction in an at least partially assembled state of the wheel bearing unit. A first radially encircling alignment element, which is designed as the wheel bearing alignment element or the joint bell alignment element, has an encircling projection geometry which is designed from a ferromagnetic material or from a magnetizable material, projections of the projection geometry extending in the radial direction toward a second radially encircling alignment element which is designed as the respective other of the wheel bearing alignment element and the joint bell alignment element. The second alignment element comprises a magnetizable material having a predetermined number of magnetized regions. The first alignment element and the second alignment element are configured to align rotationally with one another during assembly of the wheel bearing unit on account of reluctance forces in such a way that a tooth-in-tooth position of the first spur toothing and of the second spur toothing is achieved. The magnetizable material can be, in particular, a polymer filled with magnetizable particles, for example an elastomer such as fluororubber (FKM) or nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR). Alternatively, however, it can also be a filled thermoplastic material. The magnetizable particles can comprise strontium ferrites, for example. Additionally or alternatively, rare earths are, for example. NdFeBr is conceivable. The projections of the projection geometry can be designed as radial teeth or radial projections of a different shape. Moreover, it is sufficient that the projections protrude relative to the gaps only in the millimeter range or even in the tenth millimeter range. This means that the projection geometry can also have a hole-web geometry, for example, in which the webs project radially with respect to the holes by the material thickness of the projection geometry. For example, the projection geometry can be formed from a sheet metal strip from which windows have been punched, wherein the windows are separated from one another by webs. In this case, the webs form the projections and the windows form the gaps of the projection geometry. The first alignment element can be formed from a ferromagnetic material or from a magnetizable material. The magnetizable material makes it possible to generate magnetizable regions in a targeted manner, and thus in particular to select the size of the regions and the distances between the regions. The ferromagnetic material is in particular cost-effective and makes it possible, in the case where the joint bell aligning element is formed as the first aligning element, to form the joint bell aligning element integrally in one piece with the joint bell. The advantage of the solution according to the invention lies in particular in the fact that the wheel bearing alignment element and the joint bell alignment element or the first alignment element and the second alignment element automatically align with one another during the assembly of the wheel bearing unit, so that a tooth-in-tooth position of the spur tooth arrangements is achieved. During assembly of the wheel bearing unit, and thus during positioning of the wheel bearing arrangement around the joint bell, the alignment elements form a magnetic circuit in which a state of the lowest magnetic resistance is sought as a state of the lowest reluctance and the alignment elements are aligned accordingly with respect to one another in such a way that this state is reached. It can thus be said that the relative alignment of the wheel bearing arrangement and the joint bell takes place similar to the functioning of a reluctance motor. Due to the circumferential projection geometry, which is formed from a ferromagnetic material, the magnetized regions align opposite the projections of the projection geometry in the radial direction, since the magnetic resistance likewise becomes smaller as the distance decreases. This means that a magnetic resistance between the magnetized regions and the projections of the projection geometry is smaller than between the magnetized regions and the gaps between the projections of the projection geometry, since a radial distance between the magnetized regions and the projections of the projection geometry is smaller than a distance between the magnetized regions and the gaps of the projection geometry. Based on this principle, an alignment of the alignment elements and thus of the wheel bearing arrangement and the joint bell during assembly takes place automatically in such a way that a tooth-in-tooth position of the first spur toothing and of the second spur toothing is ensured. In particular, the alignment of the alignment elements and thus of the wheel bearing arrangement and the joint bell takes place via the wheel bearing which has not yet been braced. In this case, the inner ring can still rotate with little friction relative to the outer ring and thus enable the position of the alignment elements with the lowest magnetic resistance.Damage to the teeth, in particular to the comparatively pointed teeth of the spur toothing of the wheel bearing arrangement, by abutting against one another (tooth-on-tooth position) in the axial direction can thereby be avoided. In this case, the correct alignment of the spur tooth arrangements in the circumferential direction with respect to one another is ensured, in particular in the case of the "blind fitting" which is frequently customary in practice. The "blind installation" describes the joining of the wheel bearing arrangement and the joint bell without the possibility of visual checking by the worker or the corresponding machine, for example on the basis of seals or other components which conceal the joint during installation.Furthermore, further assembly steps for bringing about the tooth-in-tooth position can be dispensed with. In addition, further prestressing or latching elements, etc., for prepositioning the wheel bearing arrangement and the joint bell can also be dispensed with. The projections of the circumferential projection geometry and the magnetized regions are coordinated with one another and arranged distributed in the circumferential direction in such a way that in any conceivable relative arrangement of the wheel bearing arrangement and the joint bell with respect to one another in which the state of the lowest reluctance is achieved, a tooth-in-tooth position of the first spur toothing and of the second spur toothing is ensured. The tooth-in-tooth position may also be referred to as a tooth-in-gap position. In other words, it can be said that the wheel bearing-joint bell arrangement, during assembly, tends to assume the state of the lowest reluctance in the magnetic circuit. This is present if the projections of the projection geometry, which can be arranged, for example, on the joint bell, coincide with the magnetic poles of the magnetized regions, which can be arranged, for example, on the interface seal. As a result of the magnetic attractive force between the magnetic poles and the ferromagnetic material of the projection geometry, the system, as the wheel bearing-joint bell arrangement, is automatically aligned, i.e. in particular that an inner ring of the wheel bearing of the wheel bearing arrangement with the wheel bearing alignment element, which can be provided, for example, in the interface seal, rotates independently, i.e. by itself, relative to the drive shaft with the joint bell alignment element by the magnetic force into the position with the lowest reluctance, which corresponds to a tooth-in-tooth position of the spur tooth arrangements. This means that by means of a directed installation of the wheel bearing alignment element, it can be ensured that the system aligns itself into the tooth-in-tooth position as soon as the joint bell or the joint shaft and the wheel bearing or the wheel bearing arrangement are brought together.According to one embodiment, during assembly of the wheel bearing unit, a mounting force is also present in the axial direction due to the reluctance forces, which mounting force assists in reaching the tooth-in-tooth position of the first spur toothing and of the second spur toothing. As a result, further assembly steps for bringing about and in particular for maintaining the tooth-in-tooth position during the assembly of the wheel bearing unit can be dispensed with. In particular, further prestressing or latching elements, etc., for the axial prepositioning of the wheel bearing arrangement and the joint bell can also be dispensed with.According to an embodiment, a predetermined number of protrusions of the circumferential protrusion geometry and a predetermined number of magnetized areas are the same or different from each other. According to one embodiment, the predetermined number of projections of the circumferential projection geometry and / or the predetermined number of magnetized regions each corresponds to an integer of a number of teeth of the spur toothing. Alternatively, it is also conceivable that the number of projections of the circumferential projection geometry and / or the predetermined number of magnetized regions corresponds in each case to an integer multiple of the number of teeth of the spur toothing. In the case where the number of protrusions and the number of magnetized regions are different from one another, in particular, the number of protrusions of the protrusion geometry is greater than the number of magnetized regions. Thus, the respective number of projections and magnetized areas is matched on the one hand to one another and on the other hand to the number of teeth of the spur toothing, so that, during assembly of the wheel bearing unit in the state of the lowest reluctance, such a relative position of the two spur toothings in the circumferential direction is predefined that a tooth-on-tooth position is avoided and thus a tooth-in-tooth position is ensured. In particular, the number of projections and the number of magnetized regions are selected such that a tooth-in-tooth position of the two spur tooth arrangements is ensured during the assembly of the wheel bearing unit independently of a relative position of the wheel bearing arrangement and the joint bell with respect to one another.According to one embodiment, the magnetized regions of the second alignment element are designed as radial projections or radial teeth which extend in the radial direction towards the first alignment element. As a result, a distance between the magnetized regions and the, in particular ferromagnetic, projections of the projection geometry of the first alignment element can be further reduced, as a result of which the magnetic resistance in the desired state of the lowest reluctance is further reduced. The radial projections of the second alignment element can be designed as radial teeth or radial projections of a different shape. Moreover, it is sufficient that the radial projections protrude relative to the gaps only in the millimeter range or even in the tenth millimeter range. This means that the second alignment element, in particular the carrier plate, can also have a hole-web geometry, for example, in which the webs protrude radially with respect to the holes by the material thickness of the carrier plate. For example, the carrier sheet can be formed from a sheet metal strip from which windows have been punched out, wherein the windows are separated from one another by webs. In this case, the webs form the radial projections and the windows form the gaps of the carrier plate.According to one embodiment, the first alignment element is designed as the wheel bearing alignment element and the second alignment element is designed as the joint bell alignment element. Alternatively, the wheel bearing alignment element is designed as the second alignment element and the joint bell alignment element is designed as the first alignment element.According to one embodiment, the wheel bearing alignment element is provided / arranged on an interface seal which is arranged on the wheel bearing unit for sealing off the tooth engagement of the first spur gear toothing and the second spur gear toothing. In this case, the interface seal overlaps at least partially with the joint bell in the axial direction, in particular with a region of the joint bell on which the joint bell alignment element is arranged or formed.According to one embodiment, a carrier plate of the interface seal is designed as the wheel bearing alignment element. The carrier plate is suitable in particular when the wheel bearing alignment element is formed as the first alignment element, since the carrier plate can be formed simply and cost-effectively from a ferromagnetic material. The projection geometry can be introduced into the carrier plate, for example, by means of deep drawing. Alternatively, the protrusion geometry may be formed by punching out windows which are then substantially evenly distributed along the circumference. If the wheel bearing alignment element is designed as the second alignment element, the sealing material in particular in the region of the overlap with the joint bell alignment element is made of a magnetizable material, such as, for example. NBR, FKM, etc. The material is then specifically magnetized in sections on an inner side of the interface seal at predetermined regions, as viewed in the radial direction.According to one embodiment, the joint bell aligning element is formed integrally in one piece with the joint bell or separately from the joint bell. The integral integral construction with the joint bell is suitable in particular when the joint bell aligning element is constructed as the first aligning element, since the joint bell is generally produced, for example forged or cast, from a ferromagnetic material, for example an iron or steel alloy. Alternatively, the joint bell aligning element can also be formed as a separate part made of ferromagnetic material, e.g. as an, in particular ring-like, part formed from a sintering process, by means of deep drawing or punching. In the case that the joint bell aligning element is formed as the second aligning element, the joint bell aligning element can be formed as a ring which is arranged on the joint bell, in particular pressed onto the joint bell, wherein the ring is formed from a magnetizable material which is specifically magnetized at a predetermined region along the circumference.Detailed Description with DrawingsFurther measures which improve the invention are described in more detail below together with the description of a preferred exemplary embodiment of the invention on the basis of the figures. It shows: FIG. 1 shows a schematic basic illustration for explaining a mode of operation for aligning a wheel bearing arrangement and a joint bell of a wheel bearing unit according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 shows a schematic illustration of a joint bell according to one embodiment of the invention, FIG. 3 shows a schematic partial illustration of a wheel bearing unit according to one embodiment of the invention, FIG. 4 shows a schematic partial illustration of a wheel bearing unit according to one embodiment of the invention, and FIG. 5 shows a schematic partial illustration of a carrier plate of an interface seal according to one embodiment of the invention. The figures are merely schematic in nature and serve only to understand the invention. The same elements are provided with the same reference numerals.FIG. 1 shows a schematic basic illustration for explaining a mode of operation for aligning a wheel bearing arrangement 1 and a joint bell 2 of a drive joint (not illustrated) of a wheel bearing unit 3 (see FIGS. 3 and 4 ) according to one embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 1, the wheel bearing arrangement 1 and the joint bell 2 are very simplified, not shown to scale, in order to explain only the mode of operation for aligning the two assemblies 1, 2 with respect to one another. In FIG. 1, the joint bell 2 has, for example, a radial toothing 4 formed radially outwards, which is formed integrally in one piece with the joint bell 2 (see also FIG. 2 ). The radial toothing 4 corresponds to an exemplary embodiment for a projection geometry. The joint bell 2 and thus also the integrally formed radial toothing 4 are formed from a ferromagnetic material. The radial toothing 4, which is illustrated in FIG. 2 by way of example and in a detail, is an example of a joint bell alignment element 5. The interface seal 6 is an example of a wheel bearing alignment element 7. the interface seal 6 is formed from a magnetizable material and here has, by way of example, a plurality of radial projections 8 or radial teeth which are substantially uniformly distributed over the circumference and project radially inward toward the joint bell 2. The radial projections 8 are formed as magnetized regions 9. This means that the magnetizable material of the interface seal 6 is magnetized at the radial projections 8, and is thus permanent magnetic in the regions. It can thus be said that the radial projections 8 or the magnetized regions 9 form the wheel bearing alignment element 7.During the assembly of the wheel bearing unit 3, in particular during the assembly of the wheel bearing arrangement 1 and the joint bell 2, a magnetic circuit is thus formed, within which a state of the lowest reluctance is sought. This means that a magnetic force 10 always develops corresponding to the lowest magnetic resistance. The magnetic resistance decreases as the distance between two magnetic elements decreases. For the mode of operation here, this means that the magnetized regions 9 wish to be arranged opposite the teeth of the radial toothing 4, as seen in the radial direction, since this corresponds to the state of the smallest magnetic resistance for them in this arrangement. In other words, the state of the smallest magnetic resistance, and thus the state of the lowest reluctance, is present when the teeth of the radial toothing 4 of the joint bell 2 coincide with the magnetized regions 9 on the interface seal 6. Due to the magnetic attractive force 10 between the magnetized regions 9 on the interface seal 6 and the ferromagnetic material of the joint bell 2, the system "wheel bearing arrangement 1-joint bell 2" is automatically aligned. By means of a directed installation of the interface seal 6, it can be ensured that the system is automatically aligned in such a way that a tooth-in-tooth position of a first spur toothing 11 (see FIGS. 3 and 4 ) of the wheel bearing arrangement 1 and of a second spur toothing 12 of the joint bell 2 (see FIGS. 2 to 4 ) is achieved as soon as the joint bell 2 and the wheel bearing arrangement 1 are brought together. The tooth engagement of the first spur toothing 11 and the second spur toothing 12 serves, in the assembled state of the wheel bearing unit 3, for torque transmission between the wheel bearing arrangement 1 and the joint bell 2 of a drive joint (not illustrated).FIG. 3 shows, by way of example and schematically, a sectional view of a partial illustration of the wheel bearing unit 3 according to one embodiment of the invention. The wheel bearing unit 3 has the wheel bearing arrangement 1 and the joint bell 2. The joint bell 2 corresponds substantially to the embodiment shown in FIG. 2 and has the integrally formed radial toothing 4 which is the joint bell alignment element 5. The wheel bearing arrangement 1 has a wheel bearing 13, a wheel bearing hub 14 with the spur toothing 11, and the interface seal 6, which is arranged on an inner ring 15 of the wheel bearing 13 and extends substantially in the axial direction A. The inner ring 15 is connected in a rotationally fixed and axially fixed manner to the wheel bearing hub 14.As indicated in FIG. 1, the interface seal 6 has the radial projections 8 projecting radially inward, which have the magnetized regions 9 on an inner side, i.e. on a side facing the radial toothing 4. In the state shown in FIG. 3, the wheel bearing arrangement 1, in particular the inner ring 15 with the interface seal 6, has already been arranged opposite the teeth of the radial toothing 4 in the radial direction in accordance with the state of the lowest reluctance. Since the inner ring 15 is arranged on the wheel bearing hub 14 in a rotationally fixed manner, the wheel bearing hub 14 rotates together with the inner ring 15, whereby the first spur toothing 11 on the wheel bearing hub 14 is brought into the tooth-in-tooth position relative to the second spur toothing 12 on the joint bell 2.FIG. 4 shows, by way of example and schematically, a sectional view of a partial illustration of the wheel bearing unit 3 according to a further embodiment of the invention, which corresponds in many aspects to the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, for which reason only the differences are discussed below. In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 4, the joint bell aligning element 5 is designed as a ring 16 separate from the joint bell 2. The ring 16 is pressed onto the joint bell 2 and has a carrier plate 17 on which a magnetizable material 18 is arranged. The magnetizable material 18 is magnetized at predetermined regions 19 (one indicated in the view in FIG. 4 ). The magnetized regions 19 are thus formed analogously to the magnetized regions 9 in FIG. 3.The wheel bearing alignment element 7 is here exemplarily formed as a carrier plate 20 (see also FIG. 5 ) of the interface seal 6. The carrier plate 20 is formed from a ferromagnetic material and has a radial toothing 21 with radial projections 22 or radial teeth 22 projecting radially inward, toward the joint bell 2. The radial toothing 21 is an exemplary embodiment for the projection geometry, wherein the radial teeth 22 are an exemplary embodiment for projections of the projection geometry. In the state shown in FIG. 4, the wheel bearing arrangement 1, in particular the inner ring 15 with the interface seal 6, has already been arranged in a manner corresponding to the state of the lowest reluctance. This means that the radial projections 22 of the radial toothing 21 of the wheel bearing alignment element 7 formed in the carrier plate 20 are arranged opposite the radial direction in the magnetized regions 19 of the joint bell alignment element 5. Since the inner ring 15 is arranged on the wheel bearing hub 14 in a rotationally fixed manner, the wheel bearing hub 14 rotates together with the inner ring 15 and the wheel bearing alignment element 7 until the above-described state of the lowest reluctance is reached. As a result, the first spur toothing 11 on the wheel bearing hub 14 is brought into the tooth-in-tooth position relative to the second spur toothing 12 on the joint bell 2.It can also be seen in FIG. 4 that the interface seal 6 has a static sealing lip 23, which serves for corrosion protection in the region of the alignment elements 5, 7 and the spur toothings 11, 12. The static sealing lip 23 can also be present in the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 3.In general, the alignment element, which is formed from a ferromagnetic material and has the radial toothing 4, 21, can also be referred to as a first alignment element 24, and the alignment element, which has the magnetized regions 9, 19, can also be referred to as a second alignment element 25.It should be noted that the radial tooth arrangements 4, 21 described above can have radial teeth arranged substantially uniformly along the circumference or radial projections 8, 22 arranged substantially uniformly along the circumference. In other words, it can be said that the term "radial toothing" comprises both radial teeth arranged distributed along the circumference and radial projections arranged distributed along the circumference. Furthermore, in this context, the terms "radial teeth" and "radial projections" can also be understood substantially as synonymous.List of reference characters1 Wheel bearing arrangement 2 Joint bell 3 Wheel bearing unit 4 Radial toothing 5 Joint bell alignment element 6 Interface seal 7 Wheel bearing alignment element 8 Radial projection 9 Magnetized region 10 Magnetic force 11 First spur toothing 12 Second spur toothing 13 Wheel bearing 14 Wheel bearing hub 15 Inner ring 16 Ring 17 Carrier plate 18 Magnetizable material 19 Magnetized region 20 Carrier plate 21 Radial toothing 22 Radial projection 23 Static sealing lip 24 First alignment element 25 Second alignment element A Axial direction R Radial direction
