Abstract

An electronic frame lock has a control unit designed to, starting from an open position of a round shackle of the frame lock due to a locking command, to actuate an electric motor to rotate a cam into a release position and thereby move a bolt pre-tensioned in a locking position into an unlocking position; then to actuate the electric motor to rotate the cam into a pre-tensioning position in which the bolt is released for movement towards the unlocking position; and upon detection of a closed position of the round shackle, to actuate the electric motor to rotate the cam into a locking position in which the cam secures the bolt in the locking position.
