Description

[0001] The invention relates to a road paver according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] Asphalt road surfaces are typically formed from several superimposed layers. An asphalt-based emulsion, particularly a bitumen emulsion, is applied between the individual layers to improve adhesion. This emulsion is typically sprayed onto the previously laid, underlying layer during the installation of the new or next layer. For this purpose, road construction machines, particularly road pavers or spray pavers, are equipped with a spraying device for the production of the road surface. This spray device applies the emulsion, which serves as a bonding agent, to the lower layer before the paver applies the next layer of the road surface.

[0003] For this purpose, such road construction machines carry a supply of emulsion. The emulsion is located in a tank that is integrated into the chassis of the road construction machine. This tank supplies the so-called spray booms of the spraying device with the emulsion during the production of the road surface. The spray booms usually consist of three booms on which several nozzles are arranged, directed towards the subsoil. The booms can be aligned transversely, preferably perpendicularly, to the direction of production and are arranged so that they can move on the road construction machine. For example, known road construction machines have a front spray boom on a front bumper, viewed in the direction of production. Furthermore, rear spray booms that can be pivoted in and out or extended and retracted are assigned to the sides of a rear section of the road construction machine. While the rear spray booms are located behind the undercarriage and also cover the area between the two lanes, the front spray boom is positioned between the undercarriage so that the subsoil between the undercarriage and the road surface can be wetted with the emulsion. To create the road surface, the two rear spray booms are swung out or extended so that the entire production width of the road construction machine is covered and can be sprayed with the emulsion. After the process is complete, the booms are swung in or retracted again so that the road construction machine has a reduced width for further transport.

[0004] To supply the individual nozzles with emulsion, the spray booms are connected to the tank via hoses or a circulating system of hoses. A pump, typically powered by a hydraulic motor on the road construction machine, is used to transport the emulsion through the hoses to the nozzles and back. To supply the individual nozzles, a hose runs from the tank to the respective boom and along the boom, and another hose runs from the respective boom back to the emulsion tank. Cables and pneumatic hoses also run to the booms to control the valves of the individual nozzles.

[0005] Guiding and storing the hoses and cables is particularly problematic for spray booms that extend laterally from the main frame. When retracted, the hoses and cables are attached at one end to the main frame or chassis of the road construction machine and the other end to the opposite end of the respective spray boom. When the spray booms are extended, the hoses and cables move outwards with the spray boom and form a loop that grows larger as they extend. These unguided cables take up a lot of space, pose a potential risk of injury to people and must also be cleaned regularly as they become very dirty. A further disadvantage is that storing the hoses under the road construction machine when retracted takes up a lot of space.

[0006] The invention is based on the object of creating a road paver with which the problems mentioned are solved.

[0007] A road paver for solving this problem has the features of claim 1. Accordingly, it is provided that at least one hose reel is attached to the road paver, on which at least one hose for supplying a spray boom with emulsion can be wound up and unwound. This hose reel is attached to the main frame or the chassis and oriented such that its winding and unwinding direction is transverse or perpendicular to the production direction or at least almost parallel to the respective spray boom. Before the production process begins, the at least one hose is wound up on the hose reel. The hose on the hose reel is protected from contamination. During preparation for the paving process, the spray booms are extended sideways. Because one end of the hose is connected to one end of the spray boom, the hose reel is automatically moved and the hose is unwound. During this extension or retraction process.During the unrolling process, the hose can be placed on the boom in a defined holder or guide, thus posing no safety risk to personnel. After the installation process is complete, the spray boom is retracted. At the same time, the hose reel is set in motion and the hose is rolled up. The retraction of the boom and the rolling up of the hose should preferably be synchronized.

[0008] Preferably, a second end of the hose is connected to the pump or tank via a connecting means, preferably a rotary flange or a rotary union, and a first end of the hose is connected to a first section of the spray boom. The rotatable connection of the second end of the hose to a supply line for the emulsion makes it possible for the hose to be connected to the supply line to the pump during unwinding and winding. Alternatively, it is also conceivable for the hose to be separated from the supply line for unwinding and winding. Furthermore, the invention can provide for the first end of the hose to be connectable to a supply hose for the nozzles of the spray boom via a coupling.

[0009] A particular embodiment of the invention can provide that a first hose, preferably for supplying the emulsion to the nozzles, and / or a second hose, preferably for returning the emulsion to the nozzles, and / or a second hose, preferably for returning the emulsion to the tank, and / or at least one current-carrying cable and / or at least one pneumatic hose, is wound up on the hose reel. Accordingly, all lines (hoses, cables) for operating the spray boom are guided on the hose reel and are unwound for the production process and wound up again after the process has ended. All lines are preferably connected to a pump or the tank via the connecting means, preferably the rotary flange or the rotary union.By winding and unwinding the hoses together, as well as storing them together on the hose reel, the hoses can be handled in a particularly space-saving and safe manner. Furthermore, unnecessary contamination of all the hoses is avoided.

[0010] The direct attachment of at least one hose reel to the chassis or main frame enables particularly simple, space-saving, and practical storage and operation of the spray booms. The invention preferably provides for a hose reel to be assigned to each spray boom. The respective hose reels on the respective sides of the main frame are directly assigned to the spray booms, so that when the booms are extended, the aforementioned lines or hoses are fed directly to the boom. Likewise, the lines of each spray boom are immediately rewound onto the corresponding hose reel when retracted.

[0011] In particular, it is provided that a mechanical spring is integrated into the hose reel, which is pre-tensioned when the hose is unwound. As the hose unwinds, the mechanical tension of the spring stores energy, which is used when the hose is rewound to rotate the reel in the opposite direction and thus to rewind the at least one hose. Furthermore, the invention can provide for the unwound hose to be motor-assisted to be rolled back onto the hose reel. It is also conceivable for a pull rope to be wound up on the hose reel with the at least one hose, and for the extended spray boom to be retracted again using this pull rope. For this purpose, the hose reel must be assigned an appropriately dimensioned motor.Alternatively, it is also conceivable that the drive for extending and retracting the spray booms, which may in particular be a hydraulic motor, also drives the hose reels and the movement of the hose reels is preferably coupled to the movement of the spray booms.

[0012] Finally, it is also conceivable for the at least one spray boom to have a guide for the at least one hose. This guide can, for example, be a trough- or channel-like receptacle on the top of the boom, into which the at least one hose and the additional lines or cables are inserted when unrolled or extended, and from which the at least one hose and the additional lines or cables can be lifted out again without additional effort when retracted or rolled up.

[0013] A preferred embodiment of the present invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawings, in which: Fig. 1 a schematic side view of a road paver, Fig. 2 a schematic representation of a chassis before the installation process, and Fig. 3 a schematic representation of the chassis during the installation process.

[0014] An example of a road construction machine is shown in the Fig. 1 schematically shows a road paver 10. This road paver 10 essentially has a chassis 11, on which, as seen in the production direction 12, a storage container 14 for holding a road construction material is arranged at a front end 13. Viewed opposite to the production direction 12, the storage container 14 is followed by a tank 15 for holding an emulsion, a travel drive 16, and an operator's station 17. Furthermore, a crawler track 18 is assigned to the chassis 11. As an alternative to the crawler track 18, it is also conceivable for the road paver 10 to have a wheeled chassis. This chassis 18 is driven by the travel drive 16. The travel drive 16 shown here is an internal combustion engine. However, it is equally conceivable for the road paver 10 to be powered by an electric drive or by means of fuel cells.

[0015] A paving screed 19 and a spreading auger (not shown) are positioned below the operator's station 17. During construction, the paving screed 19 is pulled over the hot road construction material, compacting the road construction material into the road surface. The width of the paving screed 19, which can be extended if necessary, defines the paving width or the road width. The paving screed 19 can be moved up and down via support arms 20 using hydraulic cylinders to produce the road surface in order to change the thickness of the road surface. During construction, the road construction material is transported from the front end 13 of the storage container 14 via conveyor belts (not shown) against the production direction 12 in front of the spreading auger or in front of the paving screed 19.

[0016] Both the control of the road paver 10 and the control of a spraying device are carried out via a control unit assigned to the control station 17. However, it is also conceivable for the control unit to be positioned externally on the road paver 10, or for wireless remote control via a suitable mobile device to be possible. An operator can either enter the production parameters directly via the control unit or start predefined programs, which are then executed by the individual units of the road paver 10.

[0017] In order to ensure sufficient adhesion, particularly between successive asphalt pavements, the subsurface is sprayed with an emulsion before applying a further layer of asphalt. For this purpose, the road paver 10 shown here is assigned a spraying device. This spraying device consists of a front spray boom 21 and two rear spray booms 22. These spray booms 21, 22 have a plurality of nozzles 23 with which the emulsion can be applied to the subsurface. For this purpose, the spray booms 21, 22 are connected to the tank 15 via hoses 24. In the illustration according to the Fig. 1, the hoses 24 are shown from the tank 15 to the front spray boom 21 and to the rear spray boom 22. Hoses 24 can also lead from the front spray boom 21 to the rear spray boom 22. For better visibility, the hoses 24 are shown in the Fig. 1 is shown in dashed lines "in front" of the road paver 10. However, the invention provides that the hoses 24 are arranged concealed below or in the chassis 11.

[0018] The Fig. Figure 2 shows a view of the chassis 11 of the road paver 10. This illustration shows that the spray booms 21, 22 are beam-like and are oriented transversely or perpendicularly to the production direction 12 on the chassis 11. The nozzles 23 are arranged at a constant distance along the beams 21, 22. The nozzles 23 are only indicated schematically here and point with their openings in the direction of the subsurface to be coated with the road surface. By means of an appropriate control system, individual valves assigned to the nozzles 23 are opened so that the emulsion is sprayed from the nozzles 23 onto the subsurface in a spray cone or in a spray line. The nozzles are dimensioned and spaced from one another in such a way that the subsurface is coated evenly and seamlessly along the production direction 12 with the emulsion. In order to ensure that the area under the chassis is also sufficiently exposed to emulsion, the rear spray booms 22 are arranged behind the chassis but in front of the paving screed 19.

[0019] Before the production process begins, the rear spray booms 22 are retracted to reduce the width of the road paver 10. In the Fig. For this purpose, the two rear spray booms 22 of the road paver 10 shown in highly schematic form in Figure 2 are arranged slightly offset from one another on the chassis 11, as seen in the production direction 12. The arrangement and orientation of the spray booms 22 shown here on the chassis 11 are for illustrative purposes only. In particular, the integration of the spray booms 22 into the chassis 11 may differ from the form shown here. The road paver 10 has corresponding drives (not shown here) for extending or retracting the spray booms 22 in or against the direction of arrow 25.

[0020] During the paving process, the spray booms 22 are extended according to the paving width. The maximum length of a single boom 22 can be 1 m to 3 m, preferably 2 m. Fig. This is shown schematically in Figure 3. It can be seen that the entire paving width of the road paver 10 is covered by the beams 21, 22 and the nozzles 23. In order to supply the individual nozzles 23 with the emulsion during the paving process, hoses 26 are fed to the nozzles 23. These hoses 26 form a circuit with the nozzles 23 and the tank 15. For this purpose, one hose 26 serves as the supply line and one hose 26 as the return line for each beam 22. Furthermore, cables and pneumatic hoses (lines) (not shown) are routed along the beams 22 for controlling the nozzles 23 and the valves.

[0021] When the rear spray booms 22 are not extended, the hoses 24, as well as any cables and pneumatic hoses, are each wound on a hose reel 27. As shown schematically in the figures, a hose reel 27 is assigned to each side of the chassis 11 or each spray boom 22. This hose reel 27 is attached to the chassis 11 and oriented transversely to the production direction 12 or at least nearly parallel to the booms 22. The hose reels 27 are mounted such that they can rotate in the direction of the beams 22.

[0022] In preparation for the installation process, the rear spray booms 22 are moved outward in the direction of arrow 25. This movement also sets the hose reels 27 in motion, and the hoses 26, as well as any cables and pneumatic hoses, are unwound. The aforementioned lines can be placed on the upper side of the booms 22. For this purpose, it is conceivable that this upper side is designed like a trough or channel to accommodate the lines.

[0023] In the Fig. 3 shows how the hose reels 27 are at least almost completely unrolled and the hoses 26 extend over the entire length of the spray booms 22 to supply the nozzles 23.

[0024] The hose reels 27 can be connected to the tank 15 via a further line (not shown). For this purpose, it is conceivable for the hose reels 27 to each have a rotatable flange, so that the connection to the further line can be maintained even during the rotation of the hose reels 27. Alternatively, it is also conceivable for the connection between the hose reels 27 and the further line to be disconnected during the unwinding and winding processes.

[0025] After the installation process is completed, the spray booms 22 are retracted. During this retraction, the hoses 26, as well as any additional cables and pneumatic hoses, are also rewound onto the hose reels 27. For this purpose, the hose reels 27 are provided with a drive. This drive can be motorized or by a spring preload that has built up during the unwinding process.
