Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a method for balancing a rotating component of a torque transmission device for a vehicle.
[0002] Typically, balancing weights are pressed onto rotating components of a torque transmission device, so that they are firmly connected to the rotating component after pressing. In this way, any imbalance in the rotating component can be corrected.
[0003] However, after carrying out the described procedure, it was found that the balancing weights can deform the rotating component during pressing. Furthermore, it was observed that the balancing weight is deformed after pressing compared to its condition before pressing. As a result, the imbalance of the rotating component is not completely eliminated. Both of these circumstances can lead to a reduced service life of the rotating component and any torque transmission device.
[0004] The state of the art is referred to in DE 10 2019 115 350 A1 and DE 10 2020 116 573 A1.
[0005] From DE 10 2019 115 350 A1, a method for balancing a torsional vibration damper is known, in which in one process step a rivet shank of the at least one rivet is inserted through an opening of the first component of the output part and in a subsequent process step a force is applied to the setting head of the at least one rivet, so that an end of the rivet shank facing away from the setting head is pressed against an arc of the recess of the second component of the output part in such a way that the closing head is formed at the end of the rivet shank facing away from the setting head.
[0006] From DE 10 2020 116 573 A1 a centrifugal pendulum device is known in which balancing weights with the same or different diameters are used for balancing.
[0007] Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a method for balancing a rotating component of a torque transmission device for a vehicle, which cost-effectively increases the service life of a balanced rotating component of a torque transmission device for a vehicle.
[0008] This problem is solved by the features of the independent patent claim. Further advantageous developments are the subject of the dependent claims.
[0009] The present invention comprises a method for balancing a rotating component of a torque transmission device for a vehicle. The rotating component can be part of a vibration damper or a torque transmission device, such as a centrifugal pendulum or a clutch assembly with two separating discs. Furthermore, the rotating component can, for example, simply be designed as an annular disc to which, for example, pendulum weights of a centrifugal pendulum to be constructed can be movably attached. The method comprises the following steps.
[0010] A first step involves determining the imbalance of a rotating component of a torque transmission device.
[0011] When determining imbalance, the center of gravity of the rotating component is identified, and the deviation between this center of gravity and the component's axis of rotation is determined. In other words, determining imbalance involves identifying the center of gravity of the rotating component and determining the deviation between this center of gravity and the geometric center around which the component rotates or is intended to rotate, and which can therefore be located on the component's axis of rotation. To determine the center of gravity, the component can be rotated around its axis of rotation or geometric center by a measuring device, such as a balancing machine. The force exerted by the rotating component on, for example, a sensor-equipped bearing of the measuring device, can detect the imbalance.
[0012] A subsequent step involves determining the positions and weights of two or more balancing weights for attachment to the rotating component, thus eliminating the specified imbalance. Once the offset between the axis of rotation and the determined center of gravity, or the imbalance itself, has been determined, the positions and weights for balancing weights on the rotating component can be calculated, allowing the center of gravity of the rotating component to be shifted or moved relative to the axis of rotation. This enables the smooth operation of a torque transmission device.
[0013] A further process step involves positioning the turned component together with a first and a second balancing weight on a die of a press. The balancing weights, with their determined weights, are then arranged at the determined positions on the turned component. By correctly positioning the balancing weights, the center of gravity of the turned component can be shifted or moved along its axis of rotation.
[0014] Against this background, the first and second balancing weights can have the same shank length, shank diameter, and head height, but different head diameters. The identical head height allows balancing weights with different weights to be pressed onto the turned component on the same press. The shank, with its length, can be considered the part of the balancing weight that connects to the head. The head of a balancing weight determines its weight; the larger the head, the greater the weight. As mentioned, the first and second balancing weights can have the same shank diameter. Therefore, each balancing weight can be mounted in standardized mounting holes in the turned component, or mounting holes adapted to the shank diameter of balancing weights.
[0015] A further step in the process involves setting a minimum pressing distance between the die of the press and the rotating component resting on the die. In other words, the minimum pressing distance can result from the distance between the rotating component, or rather its surface opposite the die, and the surface of the die. Alternatively, the minimum pressing distance can result from the distance between the rotating component, or rather its surface opposite the die, and a head surface of at least one balancing weight resting on the die.
[0016] The minimum pressing distance is 94 percent to 99.7 percent of the head height of the balancing weights or the second balancing weight. This minimizes deformation of one or all balancing weights when pressing them onto the rotating component. It also minimizes or even prevents deformation of the rotating component itself.
[0017] Following this, the process involves pressing the balancing weights onto the rotating component. The balancing weights and the rotating component are joined in such a way that they can only be separated by destruction. Logically, the set minimum pressing distance must be taken into account during the pressing process.
[0018] During pressing, the ram and die of the pressing device are brought together to connect or press the balancing weights and the rotating component. The ram and die are brought together until the set minimum pressing distance between the rotating component (or its surface opposite the die) and the head surface of at least one balancing weight resting on the die is reached.
[0019] The press can then be opened and the rotary component removed.
[0020] The second balancing weight can have a smaller mass than the first balancing weight. The second balancing weight can also have a smaller head diameter than the first balancing weight.
[0021] Furthermore, according to one embodiment, the adjustment step can include placing a support device on the die, at least at the location of the second balancing weight, in order to minimize the distance between the rotating component and the die, and thus the deformation of the second balancing weight. In other words, by placing a support device on the die, the distance between the surface of the rotating component opposite the die and the surface of the die can be adjusted so that the distance between the rotating component and the die, and thus the deformation of the second balancing weight, can be minimized. The support device can have a height corresponding to the minimum pressing distance. Thus, the minimum pressing distance can be set.
[0022] The support device can be designed similarly to an annular disc. Alternatively, the support device can be designed similarly to a hollow cylinder.
[0023] Furthermore, the support device may have an internal receptacle for a balancing weight. This receptacle may have a first and a second section along the height of the support device. The first section may comprise 80 to 60 percent of the height of the support device or the head height of the balancing weight(s) or a second balancing weight. The second section may comprise 20 to 40 percent of the height of the support device or the head height of the balancing weight(s) or a second balancing weight.
[0024] The first section can have a larger inner diameter than the second section. This allows the first section to facilitate the insertion of the balancing weight into the support. The second section guides the support around the balancing weight mounted inside, ensuring the correct positioning of the support on the balancing weight. Furthermore, the support can have a uniform outer diameter for both the first and second sections. This simplifies manufacturing, as after separating, for example, a semi-finished product with the correct outer diameter, it only needs to be drilled with two holes of different diameters to form the first and second sections. Of course, it is also conceivable that the support has a square or polygonal outer surface or contour.
[0025] In this case, the die can be flat or have a level surface. This allows the support device and balancing weights to be easily positioned at any desired location.
[0026] Furthermore, according to one embodiment, the setting step can include determining the minimum pressing distance between the die of the pressing device and the rotating component. In other words, by determining the minimum pressing distance, the distance between the surface of the rotating component opposite the die and the surface of the die can be set such that the distance between the rotating component and the die, and thus the deformation of the second balancing weight, can be limited to a minimum.
[0027] When determining the distance between the die and the turning component, or their opposing surfaces, the relative distance can be monitored by a sensor such as a camera or a distance sensor. In this case, the die can be flat or have a planar surface.
[0028] Furthermore, the current or instantaneous distance between the die and the rotating component or their opposing surfaces can be monitored by a sensor system that can be connected to a control system which controls the travel path or the movement of the punch and / or die of the press device.
[0029] The control system can be designed to compare the current distance between the die and the rotating component or their opposing surfaces with the minimum pressing distance and, upon reaching the minimum pressing distance, to stop the pressing or the movement of the punch and / or the die and / or the closing of the pressing device.
[0030] Furthermore, according to one embodiment, the setting step can include arranging a die or a special or specially designed die in the pressing device.
[0031] The die, or the special die, or the specially designed die, can be configured such that a receptacle for a balancing weight is provided at each of the locations where the balancing weights are to be attached to the turned component. The depth of these receptacles can correspond to the minimum pressing distance. In other words, the minimum pressing distance can be determined by the distance between the turned component, or its surface opposite the die, and the surface of the receptacle opposite the turned component, or a head surface of at least one balancing weight that is located in or can rest on the die.
[0032] Each receptacle for a balancing weight can be designed as a recess with a depth corresponding to the minimum pressing distance in a die body, e.g., a solid one. The receptacle can have a flat surface that ensures a flat, even, or surface-like contact of the balancing weight head.
[0033] Furthermore, with regard to all previously described configurations, the rotating component can have several mounting holes for the arrangement of balancing weights. The first and second balancing weights can be positioned in these mounting holes.
[0034] The mounting holes can form a geometric shape or pattern, with the mounting holes being arranged symmetrically to an axis of rotation of the turned component. Furthermore, the mounting holes can have different distances from the axis of rotation of the turned component.
[0035] The mounting holes can be evenly distributed around the circumference of the rotating component. Alternatively, groups of mounting holes can be arranged around the circumference of the rotating component, e.g., evenly distributed. A group can, for example, have two, three, or more mounting holes that are closely spaced, with two groups having a greater distance between them than the distance between their mounting holes.
[0036] The mounting holes can also be spaced equally apart. Furthermore, the mounting holes can be spaced equally apart along the circumference of the rotating component.
[0037] Furthermore, the pressing device can be designed to create a riveting joint between the balancing weights and the turned component, comparable to that of round rivets. In this way, a section of the shaft of each balancing weight can be formed into a semi-circular head within the pressing device's punch.
[0038] The invention concept presented above is expressed again and in addition in other words below.
[0039] This idea, in simplified terms, concerns a balancing strategy with two or more different balancing weights or a method for balancing a rotating component of a torque transmission device for a vehicle.
[0040] The balancing weights used in a process for balancing a rotating component of a torque transmission device can all have the same rivet shank length and rivet shank diameter. However, to achieve different weights, they can have different rivet head diameters.
[0041] Against this background, riveting can be carried out with a support sleeve / ring or a support device. The support device can have a height corresponding to a minimum press clearance. Furthermore, the minimum press clearance can be determined by the distance between the rotating component and the head surface of a balancing weight resting on the die of a press device.
[0042] This way, the head of the balancing weight, e.g., the lighter balancing weight, can be avoided.
[0043] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. These schematically show: Fig. 1. A top view of a torque transmission device for a vehicle with a rotating component; Fig. 2A and Fig. 2B a sectional view of a first and second balancing weight for balancing the turned component made of Fig. 1; Fig. 3 a sectional view of a press device with a rotating component and balancing weights according to a first embodiment of a method for balancing a rotating component; Fig. 4 a spatial view of the support structure Fig. 3; Fig. 5 a spatial view of the rotating component, the balancing weights and the support device from the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4; Fig. 6 a sectional view of a press device with a rotating component and balancing weights according to a second embodiment of a method for balancing a rotating component; and Fig. 7 a sectional view of a press device with a rotating component and balancing weights according to a third embodiment of a method for balancing a rotating component.
[0044] In the following description, the same reference symbols are used for the same objects.
[0045] Fig. Figure 1 shows a top view of a torque transmission device 20 for a vehicle with a rotating component 1.
[0046] A more detailed illustration shows Fig. 1, that the rotating component 1 is part of a vibration damper 20 or a torque transmission device 20, such as a centrifugal pendulum. The rotating component 1 is designed as an annular disk.
[0047] In addition, it is assumed that Fig. Figure 1 shows that the rotating component 1 has several mounting holes 18 for arranging balancing weights 2, 3, in which a first and second balancing weight 2, 3 is positioned.
[0048] The mounting holes 18 form a geometric shape or pattern, and are arranged symmetrically to an axis of rotation D of the rotating component 1. Furthermore, the mounting holes 18 are arranged in the circumferential direction U of the rotating component 1.
[0049] Groups 19 of mounting holes 18 are also arranged in the circumferential direction U of the rotating component 1. One group 19, for example, has two mounting holes 18 that are closely spaced. More precisely, two groups 19 are shown that are spaced further apart than the distance between their mounting holes 18.
[0050] Furthermore, Fig. 1, that the torque transmission device comprises 20 pendulum masses 21 with which torsional vibrations of a drive train can be reduced.
[0051] Fig. 2A and Fig. Figure 2B shows a sectional view of a first and second balancing weight 2, 3 for balancing the rotating component 1. Fig. 1.
[0052] Each balancing weight 2, 3 has the same shaft length SL, the same shaft diameter SD and the same head height KH, but different head diameters KD.
[0053] With the same head height KH, the balancing weights 2, 3 with different weights can be pressed onto the same pressing device 4 with the rotary component 1. The shank, with its shank length SL, is the part of a balancing weight that connects to the head. The head of a balancing weight 2, 3 determines its weight. The larger the head, the greater the weight. As already mentioned, the first and second balancing weights 2, 3 have the same shank diameter SD. Thus, each balancing weight 2, 3 can be mounted with its shank into standardized mounting holes 18 in the rotary component 1, or mounting holes adapted to the shank diameter of balancing weights.
[0054] The above statements concerning the Fig. 1 to 2B are applicable to all subsequent embodiments.
[0055] Fig. Figure 3 shows a sectional view of a press device 4 with rotary component 1 and balancing weights 2, 3 according to a first embodiment of a method for balancing a rotary component 1.
[0056] To be precise, it shows Fig. 3 a part of a method for balancing a rotating component 1 of a torque transmission device 20 for a vehicle.
[0057] The procedure for balancing a rotating component 1 of a torque transmission device 20 for a vehicle comprises the following steps.
[0058] A first step involves determining the imbalance of a rotating component 1 of a torque transmission device 20.
[0059] When determining the imbalance, a center of gravity of the rotating component 1 is determined, as well as a deviation between the determined center of gravity and the axis of rotation D of the rotating component 1 (see below). Fig. 1) determined. In other words, when determining the imbalance, the center of gravity of the rotating component 1 is determined, as well as the deviation between the determined center of gravity and the geometric center around which the rotating component 1 rotates and which is located on the axis of rotation D of the rotating component 1. When determining the center of gravity of the rotating component 1, the rotating component 1 can be set into rotation around its axis of rotation D or its geometric center by a measuring device, such as a balancing machine. The imbalance can be detected by the force exerted by the rotating rotating component 1 on, for example, a sensor-equipped bearing of the measuring device.
[0060] A subsequent step involves determining the positions and weights of two or more balancing weights 2, 3 for attachment to the rotating component 1 and thus for eliminating the specified imbalance.
[0061] After the offset between the axis of rotation D and the determined center of gravity or the imbalance has been determined, positions and weights for the balancing weights 2, 3 to be attached to the rotating component 1 can be determined, so that the center of gravity of the rotating component 1 can be moved or shifted onto the axis of rotation D.
[0062] The rotating component 1 is then positioned together with a first and a second balancing weight 2, 3 on a die 5 of a press device 4. In this case, the die 5 is flat.
[0063] The balancing weights 2 and 3, with their determined weights and at the determined positions, are arranged on the rotating component 1. As already mentioned, the correct arrangement of the balancing weights 2 and 3 allows the center of gravity of the rotating component 1 to be shifted or moved onto its axis of rotation D.
[0064] As already described, the first and second balancing weights 2, 3 have the same shaft length SL, the same shaft diameter SD and the same head height KH, but different head diameters KD.
[0065] With the same head height KH, the balancing weights 2, 3 with different weights can be pressed onto the same pressing device 4 with the rotary component 1. The shaft, with its shaft length SL, is part of a balancing weight 2, 3, which connects to the head of the balancing weight 2, 3. The head of a balancing weight 2, 3 determines its weight. The larger the head, the greater the weight. As already mentioned, the first and second balancing weights 2, 3 have the same shaft diameter SD. Thus, each balancing weight 2, 3 can be attached with its shaft into standardized mounting holes 18 in the rotary component 1, or mounting holes adapted to the shaft diameter SD of balancing weights 2, 3.
[0066] As a further subsequent step, the procedure involves setting a minimum press distance 7 between the die 5 of the press device 4 and the rotary component 1 resting on the die 5.
[0067] Specifically, the minimum press clearance 7 results from the distance between the rotating component 1, or rather its surface opposite the die 5, and the surface of the die 5. In other words, the minimum press clearance 7 results from the distance between the rotating component 1, or rather its surface opposite the die 5, and a head surface of at least one balancing weight 2, 3 resting on the die 5.
[0068] The minimum press gap 7 is 94 percent to 99.7 percent of the head height KH of the balancing weights 2, 3 or of the second balancing weight 3. This minimizes or even prevents deformation of all balancing weights 2, 3 when the balancing weights 2, 3 are pressed together with the rotating component 1.
[0069] The next step in the process involves pressing the balancing weights 2 and 3 together with the rotating component 1. The balancing weights 2 and 3 and the rotating component 1 are joined in such a way that they can only be separated by destruction. Logically, the set minimum pressing distance 7 must be taken into account during the pressing process.
[0070] During pressing, a punch 6 and a die 5 of the pressing device 4 are brought together to join or press the balancing weights 2, 3 and the rotating component 1 arranged between them. The punch 6 and die 5 are brought together until the set minimum pressing distance 7 between the rotating component 1, or its surface opposite the die 5, and a head surface of a balancing weight 2, 3 resting on the die 5, is reached.
[0071] The press device 4 is then opened and the rotary component 1 is removed.
[0072] In the present case and according to Fig. 3 The second balancing weight 3 has a smaller mass than the first two balancing weights 2. Furthermore, the second balancing weight 3 has a smaller head diameter KD than the first two balancing weights 2.
[0073] With regard to Fig. It can be stated that the adjustment step comprises placing a support device 8 on the die 5 at the location of the second balancing weight 3 in order to minimize the distance between the rotating component 1 and the die 5, and thus the deformation of the second balancing weight 3. In other words, by placing a support device 8 on the die 5, the distance between the surface of the rotating component 1 opposite the die 5 and the surface of the die 5 can be adjusted so that the distance between the rotating component 1 and the die 5, and thus the deformation of the second balancing weight 3 and also of the first balancing weights 2, can be minimized. The support device 8 has a height H that corresponds to the minimum press clearance 7.
[0074] Fig. Figure 4 shows a spatial view of the support structure 8. Fig. 3.
[0075] The support device 7 is designed similarly to an annular disk or similarly to a hollow cylinder.
[0076] In this context - see above. Fig. 3 - the support device 8 has a receptacle 9 for a balancing weight 3 inside it. The receptacle 9 comprises a first and a second section 10, 11 along the height H of the support device 8 (see figure). Fig. 3).
[0077] In this case, the first section 10 represents 70 percent of the height H of the support device 8 or the head height KH of the balancing weights 2, 3 or the second balancing weight 3.
[0078] Furthermore, the second section 11 has 30 percent of the height H of the support device 8 or the head height KH of the balancing weights 2, 3 or the second balancing weight 3.
[0079] Out of Fig. Figure 3 further shows that the first section 10 has a larger inner diameter 12 than the second section 11 (inner diameter 13 of the second section 11). Thus, the first section 10 serves to facilitate the insertion of the balancing weight 3 into the support device 8. The second section 11, on the other hand, serves to guide the support device 8 on the balancing weight 3 mounted inside it. This ensures the correct position of the support device 8 on the balancing weight 3.
[0080] Furthermore, they Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, that the support device 8 has a uniform outer diameter for the first and second sections 10, 11. Thus, the support device 8 can be manufactured easily, since after separating, for example, a semi-finished product with the correct outer diameter, it only needs to be provided with two bores of different diameters to form the first and second sections 10, 11. Of course, it is also conceivable that the support device 8 has a square or polygonal outer surface or contour.
[0081] Fig. Figure 5 shows a spatial view of the rotating component 1, the balancing weights 2, 3 and the support device 8 from the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4.
[0082] Fig. Figure 6 shows a sectional view of a press device 4 with rotary component 1 and balancing weights 2, 3 according to a second embodiment of a method for balancing a rotary component 1.
[0083] Specifically described, it shows Fig. 6 a part of a method for balancing a rotating component 1 of a torque transmission device 20 for a vehicle.
[0084] The procedure for balancing a rotating component 1 of a torque transmission device 20 for a vehicle comprises the following steps.
[0085] A first step involves determining the imbalance of a rotating component 1 of a torque transmission device 20.
[0086] When determining the imbalance, a center of gravity of the rotating component 1 is determined, as well as a deviation between the determined center of gravity and the axis of rotation D of the rotating component 1 (see below). Fig. 1) In other words, determining the imbalance involves identifying the center of gravity of the rotating component 1 and determining the deviation between this center of gravity and the geometric center around which the rotating component 1 rotates, located on the axis of rotation D of the rotating component 1. To determine the center of gravity of the rotating component 1, the component 1 can be set into rotation around its axis of rotation D or its geometric center by a measuring device, such as a balancing machine. The imbalance can then be detected by applying force from the rotating component 1, for example, to a sensor-equipped bearing of the measuring device.
[0087] A subsequent step involves determining the positions and weights of two or more balancing weights 2, 3 for attachment to the rotating component 1 and thus for eliminating the specified imbalance.
[0088] After the offset between the axis of rotation D and the determined center of gravity or the imbalance has been determined, positions and weights for the balancing weights 2, 3 to be attached to the rotating component 1 can be determined, so that the center of gravity of the rotating component 1 can be moved or shifted onto the axis of rotation D.
[0089] The rotating component 1 is then positioned together with a first and a second balancing weight 2, 3 on a die 5 of a press device 4. In this case, the die 5 is flat.
[0090] The balancing weights 2 and 3, with their determined weights and at the determined positions, are arranged on the rotating component 1. By correctly arranging the balancing weights 2 and 3, the center of gravity of the rotating component 1 can be shifted or moved along its axis of rotation D.
[0091] As already mentioned, the first and second balancing weights 2, 3 have the same shaft length SL, the same shaft diameter SD and the same head height KH, but different head diameters KD.
[0092] With the same head height KH, the balancing weights 2, 3 with different weights can be pressed onto the same pressing device 4 with the rotary component 1.
[0093] As a further subsequent step, the procedure involves setting a minimum press distance 7 between the die 5 of the press device 4 and the rotary component 1 resting on the die 5.
[0094] Specifically, the minimum press clearance 7 results from the distance between the rotating component 1, or rather its surface opposite the die 5, and the surface of the die 5. In other words, the minimum press clearance 7 results from the distance between the rotating component 1, or rather its surface opposite the die 5, and a head surface of at least one balancing weight 2, 3 resting on the die 5.
[0095] The minimum press gap 7 is 94 percent to 99.7 percent of the head height KH of the balancing weights 2, 3 or of the second balancing weight 3. This minimizes or even prevents deformation of all balancing weights 2, 3 when the balancing weights 2, 3 are pressed together with the rotating component 1.
[0096] The next step in the process involves pressing the balancing weights 2 and 3 together with the rotating component 1. The balancing weights 2 and 3 and the rotating component 1 are joined in such a way that they can only be separated by destruction. Logically, the set minimum pressing distance 7 must be taken into account during the pressing process.
[0097] During pressing, a punch 6 and a die 5 of the pressing device 4 are brought together to join or press the balancing weights 2, 3 and the rotating component 1 arranged between them. The punch 6 and die 5 are brought together until the set minimum pressing distance 7 between the rotating component 1, or its surface opposite the die 5, and a head surface of a balancing weight 2, 3 resting on the die 5, is reached.
[0098] In the present case and according to Fig. 6. The second balancing weight 3 has a smaller mass than the first two balancing weights 2. Furthermore, the second balancing weight 3 has a smaller head diameter KD than the first two balancing weights 2.
[0099] With regard to Fig. 6. It can be stated that the setting step includes defining the minimum press distance 7 between the die 5 of the press device 4 and the rotating component 1. In other words, by defining the minimum press distance 7, the distance between the surface of the rotating component 1 opposite the die 5 and the surface of the die 5 can be determined such that the distance between the rotating component 1 and the die 5, and thus the deformation of the second balancing weight 3 and also the first balancing weights 2, can be limited to a minimum.
[0100] In this process, the relative distance between die 5 and the rotating component 1, or rather their opposing surfaces, is monitored by a sensor 14, such as a camera or a distance sensor, when determining the distance. In this case, die 5 is flat.
[0101] The current or instantaneous distance between die 5 and rotary component 1 or their opposing surfaces is monitored by the sensor 14, which is connected to a control unit (not shown) that controls the travel path or the movement of the punch 6 of the press device 4.
[0102] The control unit 16 is designed to compare the current distance between the die 5 and the rotating component 1 or their opposing surfaces with the minimum pressing distance 7 and to stop the pressing or the movement of the punch 6 or the closing of the pressing device 4 when the minimum pressing distance 7 is reached.
[0103] The press device 4 is then opened and the rotary component 1 is removed.
[0104] Fig. Figure 7 shows a sectional view of a press device 4 with rotary component 1 and balancing weights 2, 3 according to a third embodiment of a method for balancing a rotary component 1.
[0105] To be precise, it shows Fig. 7 a part of a method for balancing a rotating component 1 of a torque transmission device 20 for a vehicle.
[0106] The procedure for balancing a rotating component 1 of a torque transmission device 20 for a vehicle comprises the following steps.
[0107] A first step involves determining the imbalance of a rotating component 1 of a torque transmission device 20.
[0108] When determining the imbalance, a center of gravity of the rotating component 1 is determined, as well as a deviation between the determined center of gravity and the axis of rotation D of the rotating component 1 (see below).
[0109] A subsequent step involves determining the positions and weights of two or more balancing weights 2, 3 for attachment to the rotating component 1 and thus for eliminating the specified imbalance.
[0110] After the offset between the axis of rotation D and the determined center of gravity or the imbalance has been determined, positions and weights for the balancing weights 2, 3 to be attached to the rotating component 1 can be determined, so that the center of gravity of the rotating component 1 can be moved or shifted onto the axis of rotation D.
[0111] Then the rotating component 1 is positioned together with a first and a second balancing weight 2, 3 on a die 5 of a press device 4.
[0112] The balancing weights 2 and 3, with their determined weights and at the determined positions, are arranged on the rotating component 1. By correctly arranging the balancing weights 2 and 3, the center of gravity of the rotating component 1 can be shifted or moved along its axis of rotation D.
[0113] As already mentioned, the first and second balancing weights 2, 3 have the same shaft length SL, the same shaft diameter SD and the same head height KH, but different head diameters KD.
[0114] With the same head height KH, the balancing weights 2, 3 with different weights can be pressed onto the same pressing device 4 with the rotary component 1.
[0115] As a further subsequent step, the procedure involves setting a minimum press distance 7 between the die 5 of the press device 4 and the rotary component 1 resting on the die 5.
[0116] Specifically, the minimum press clearance 7 results from the distance between the rotating component 1, or rather its surface opposite the die 5, and the surface of the die 5. In other words, the minimum press clearance 7 results from the distance between the rotating component 1, or rather its surface opposite the die 5, and a head surface of at least one balancing weight 2, 3 resting on the die 5.
[0117] The minimum press gap 7 is 94 percent to 99.7 percent of the head height KH of the balancing weights 2, 3 or of the second balancing weight 3. This minimizes or even prevents deformation of all balancing weights 2, 3 when the balancing weights 2, 3 are pressed together with the rotating component 1.
[0118] The next step in the process involves pressing the balancing weights 2 and 3 together with the rotating component 1. The balancing weights 2 and 3 and the rotating component 1 are joined in such a way that they can only be separated by destruction. Logically, the set minimum pressing distance 7 must be taken into account during the pressing process.
[0119] During pressing, a punch 6 and a die 5 of the pressing device 4 are brought together to join or press the balancing weights 2, 3 and the rotating component 1 arranged between them. The punch 6 and die 5 are brought together until the set minimum pressing distance 7 between the rotating component 1, or its surface opposite the die 5, and a head surface of a balancing weight 2, 3 resting on the die 5, is reached.
[0120] The press device 4 is then opened and the rotary component 1 is removed.
[0121] In the present case and according to Fig. 7. The second balancing weight 3 has a smaller mass than the first two balancing weights 2. Furthermore, the second balancing weight 3 has a smaller head diameter KD than the first two balancing weights 2.
[0122] This is based on Fig.7 highlights that the setting step includes arranging a die 5 or a special or specially designed die 5 in the press device 4.
[0123] The die 5 is designed such that a receptacle 15, 16, 17 for a balancing weight 2, 3 is arranged at each of the locations of the balancing weights 2, 3 to be attached to the rotating component 1. The depth T of the receptacles 15, 16, 17 corresponds to the minimum press clearance 7. The minimum press clearance 7 results from the distance between the rotating component 1, or its surface opposite the die 5, and the surface of the receptacle 15, 16, 17 opposite the rotating component 1, or a head surface of a balancing weight 3 resting on the die 5 and arranged in the receptacle 16.
[0124] Each receptacle 15, 16, 17 for a balancing weight is further designed such that it is formed as a recess with a depth T corresponding to the minimum pressing distance 7 in a solid die body. Each receptacle 15, 16, 17 has a flat surface that ensures a flat bearing surface for the head of a balancing weight 2, 3.
