Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a nozzle, wherein the nozzle forms the uppermost part of a pipe and the nozzle has at least one lateral opening and the opening is large enough to allow one or more cables and / or hoses and / or flexible pipes to be passed through.
[0002] Gutters are located beneath a roof surface to collect rainwater running off the roof. At one or more points, the water from the gutters is diverted into downpipes. This directs the water, which is essentially horizontally drained in the gutters, vertically downwards in a controlled manner. The transition between a gutter and the downpipe is formed by a socket designed to be hooked into the gutters.
[0003] A generic downpipe is described in DE 10 2017 129 440 A1. This document describes a downpipe with a baffle, i.e., a pipe for draining rainwater. This pipe is constructed in two parts: a section for draining rainwater and a section for laying cables and hoses. The two sections are separated by a wall.
[0004] Another nozzle is described, for example, in EP 2 302 728 A1.
[0005] The invention is based on the object of designing this or other nozzles in such a way that they do not serve to drain rainwater, but can also be used for other purposes.
[0006] This problem is solved with a connector having the features of the preamble of patent claim 1. In particular, the problem is solved with a generic connector with a device for hooking into a gutter, wherein the opening is formed below the device for hooking into the gutter, and the connector is designed and configured to be hooked into a watertight area of a gutter. This makes it possible to route one or more cables downwards in the downpipe and, above all, to install them in a way that protects them from external influences and allows for an unobtrusive appearance.
[0007] Preferably, the pipe is designed like a downpipe. This allows existing downpipe systems to be used, allowing this downpipe system to perform several new functions, namely, not just draining water downwards, but also serving as a means of laying cables, hoses, or pipes.
[0008] According to the invention, the nozzle is modified and designed to be suspended in a water-impermeable area of a gutter.
[0009] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the connector has at least two cuts aligned with each other such that, when pressure is applied to this area, an opening can be created in the connector. This creates a triangular opening through which the one or more cables can be inserted.
[0010] Preferably, the two cuts meet at a point, creating a triangular opening that can be pressed into the socket. The triangular opening is preferably oriented so that one long side is horizontal at the top and one point of the triangle is at the bottom. This minimizes the risk of cable damage.
[0011] In an alternative design, the socket has three cuts, creating a rectangular opening that can be pressed into the socket. Preferably, the side without the cut is in the upper horizontal area, so that the pressed-in part is in the lower area of the opening. This minimizes the risk of damage or cuts in the cables.
[0012] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the device for hanging in the gutter comprises bent elements that, on the side where the opening is located, are bent over the edge of the gutter, thus forming edge protection. These elements can be multiple elements or a continuous area, so that the term "elements" can also be understood as a single continuous element.
[0013] The nozzle for hanging in the gutter is preferably made of metal or plastic.
[0014] In an alternative embodiment to the geometric openings described above, the nozzle can also have a round opening through which the one or more cables or hoses or pipes can be passed.
[0015] The device for hanging in the gutter preferably has bent elements designed to be hooked into the gutter in such a way that the nozzle can be moved laterally within the gutter. This ensures that the nozzle is particularly flexible in use. It also allows for adjustment to the exact position of the downpipe.
[0016] The opening for inserting the cable into the socket is preferably made on the inside, i.e., the side facing the house. This is particularly advantageous visually, as it creates a self-contained image of the socket for the viewer, and the cable, cables, or hoses inserted into the socket are also invisible.
[0017] In an alternative embodiment to the cuts described above, the openings can also be created by providing pre-sheared areas in the nozzle so that the opening can be created by applying pressure.
[0018] In another embodiment of the invention, a cover is assigned to the opening in the socket, closing this opening. A multi-pole element for electrical power distribution can preferably be attached to the inside of the cover. By electrically combining and wiring cables of the same polarity, duplicate installations in the same cable harnesses are avoided. Maintenance and inspection work at a central and accessible node reduces labor and costs. The cover closes the socket opening even when no cables are inserted into the socket. However, such a cover can also be used when the cables are inserted and clamped, thereby closing the opening.
[0019] In a further development of the invention, between the cover and a connection element opposite the cover, which forms the lower part of a junction box, opposing semicircular recesses are provided so that the connection cable or cables are clamped therebetween and are strain-relieved.
[0020] The invention is further explained below with reference to embodiments shown in the drawing.
[0021] In detail, the schematic representations in: Fig. 1: A perspective view of a gutter with a nozzle according to the invention; Fig. 2: One to Fig. 1 comparable representation in a different view; Fig. 3: A cut nozzle in a view from below; Fig. 4: A cover in a view from the inside with the connection terminal inside; Fig. 5: A nozzle with the cover to be placed on it in a side view.
[0022] In Fig. 1 shows a gutter 1 which is arranged below or at the end of a roof 2. A nozzle 3 is suspended in the gutter 1, to the lower end area 4 of which the pipe (not shown here) is connected. Below the roof 2, several cables 5 run which run under the roof 2 to solar collectors and collect the electricity generated there. Alternatively, these cables 5 can also be used to connect antennas or other electrical devices. However, the connection of solar collectors or other electricity-generating units has become particularly relevant in recent times. These cables 5 are now inserted into the nozzle 3 on the side facing the house and then guided downwards inside the nozzle 3 in the pipe (not shown here). For this purpose, an opening is provided in the nozzle 3, which is arranged behind the cover 6. The cover 6 is square in this case and is fastened to the nozzle 3 with screws 7.As an alternative to fastening with screws 7, lugs can also be provided, which are inserted into projections and bent over. This allows for easier installation. The nozzle 3 is hooked into the gutter 1 at its upper end 8 with a bent over section. This makes it possible to move the nozzle 3, allowing its precise positioning to be adapted to the location of the pipe. The pipe is designed as a downpipe. In addition to the cables mentioned above, hoses and / or flexible pipes can also be routed through the pipe.
[0023] Fig. 2 shows the nozzle 3 and its positioning on the gutter 1 below the roof 2 as in Fig. 1, but in a frontal view and not in a slightly lateral view as in Fig. 1. Otherwise, identical parts are provided with the same reference numbers.
[0024] In Fig. Figure 3 shows the pipe, and in particular the socket 3, in section and shown in a view from below. This shows the gutter 1 from below and the socket 3 suspended in the gutter 1. The lower end section 4 of the socket 3 then merges into the downpipe (not shown here). Also visible in perspective is an opening 9 in the socket 3, through which the cables 5 are routed into the socket and then into the downpipe.
[0025] Fig. Figure 4 shows the cover 6, which is to be placed over the opening 9, in a perspective view from behind. In particular, the fastening elements 10 can be seen here, with which the cover 6 is fastened to the nozzle 3. The previously described screws 7 are passed through the fastening elements 10. Strain relief elements 11 are provided within the cover 6. The cables 5 are thus guided into these elements 11 for the power supply and screwed tight, and serve to distribute the power. Alternatively, the cables 5 can also be split in two, i.e. they extend from the top to the elements 11 for the power distribution, are screwed tight there, and are then guided with a second, adjoining cable into the nozzle 3 and from there further into the downpipe. Here, six connections are provided for cables 5, with 2 x 2 cables, each with 230 volts and 50 hertz, and an earth cable. In addition to these five lines, there is a control line that takes temperatures into account, for example, in solar thermal systems. The lines are connected via the attached element 11 for power distribution.
[0026] In Fig. 5, the gutter 1 is shown in a sectioned side view, with the nozzle 3 adjoining the gutter 1 at the bottom. The downpipe is connected to the lower end area 4 of the nozzle 3. Of particular interest in this illustration is the cover 6 with its fastening elements 10, which is screwed onto or fastened to a connecting element 12, which is attached to the nozzle 3. The connecting element 12 also has semicircular recesses 13, which correspond to the semicircular recesses 14 in the cover 6 (see Fig.4). These recesses (13 and 14) serve as strain relief for the cables. The connecting element 12 is preferably formed as a single piece.
