Description

[0001] The invention relates to an EMC shielding for the connector strip in the control unit. State of the art

[0002] Fig. Figure 1 shows a control unit 10, as used in automotive technology, from the prior art, with a wiring harness 12, a connector strip 14, and a printed circuit board 16. The wiring harness 12 is connected to the connector strip 14 via connector 18. The connector strip 14 is connected to the printed circuit board 16 via pins 20. Electronic components 22a, 22b, 22c, 22d, and 22e are soldered on both sides of the printed circuit board 16. The printed circuit board is protected by a housing 24. The housing 24 has a housing cover 24a and a housing base 24b. The housing cover 24a and the housing base 24b are connected to one another via a connecting element 26.

[0003] The disadvantage is that the control unit 10 does not have EMC shielding in the direction of the connector strip 14. EMC shielding can be laboriously integrated into the connector strip in the form of metal mesh structures in the plastic injection molding. Disclosure of the invention

[0004] The invention proposes a control unit with a cable harness, a connector strip, and a printed circuit board, wherein the cable harness is connected to the connector strip 14 via connectors. The connector strip is connected to the printed circuit board via pins, wherein the printed circuit board is protected by a housing. The housing advantageously has a housing cover and a housing base. An EMC shielding component 30 is advantageously arranged between the housing cover and the printed circuit board. This shields the electromagnetic waves of the hardware components from the connector strip, effectively reducing any leakage via the cable harness.

[0005] Advantageously, the EMC shielding component ensures, on the one hand, an electrical through-hole connection 34 between the circuit board and the housing. On the other hand, the EMC shielding component 30 ensures a flat shielding to the connector strip.

[0006] Because the EMC shielding component 30 is arranged on the housing cover via a spring element 32 and the spring element is connected to the housing cover 24a via an electrical contact 34, an electrical contact can advantageously be established between the EMC shielding component 30 and the housing cover 24a.

[0007] The electrical connection to the circuit board should be realized via as many contact points as possible to maximize the homogeneous electrical shielding effect. The contact between the circuit board 16 and the shielding component 30 is made via soldering or press-fit.

[0008] Further advantages are taken from the figure description. Drawings

[0009] They show: Fig. 1: a control unit from the state of the art in schematic representation, Fig. 2: a control device according to the invention in a schematic representation, Fig. 3: Section AA of the control device according to the invention in a schematic representation, Fig. 4: Section BB of the control device according to the invention in a schematic representation. Description

[0010] The same reference numbers are used for the same components occurring in the different embodiments.

[0011] Fig. 2 shows a control unit 10 according to the invention and a sectional view.

[0012] Fig. 3 shows section AA. Fig. Figure 3 shows the control unit 10 according to the invention with a wiring harness 12, a connector strip 14, and a printed circuit board 16. The wiring harness 12 is connected to the connector strip 14 via connectors 18. The connector strip 14 is connected to the printed circuit board 16 via pins 20. Electrical components 22a, 22b, 22c, 22d, and 22e are soldered onto the printed circuit board 16. The printed circuit board is protected by a housing 24. The housing 24 has a housing cover 24a and a housing base 24b. The housing cover 24a and the housing base 24b are connected to each other via a connecting element 26.

[0013] An EMC shielding component 30 is arranged between the housing cover 24a and the circuit board 16. The EMC shielding component 30 is designed as a shielding plate.

[0014] The EMC shielding component 30 ensures, on the one hand, electrical through-hole contact between the circuit board and the housing. On the other hand, the EMC shielding component 30 ensures flat shielding to the connector strip 14.

[0015] The EMC shielding component 30 can be mounted either between the circuit board 16 and the housing cover 24a or between the circuit board 16 and the housing base 24b. A double-sided arrangement is possible. In the exemplary embodiment, it is arranged on one side, facing the housing cover 24a, for illustrative purposes. The EMC shielding component 30 is arranged on the housing cover 24a via a spring element 32. The spring element 32 generates the contact pressure and ensures electrical contact as a direct metallic contact or via an electrically conductive paste 34.

[0016] Contact with the housing cover 24a is ensured by a continuous fold 32 designed as a spring element. Alternatively, it is conceivable to incorporate an electrically conductive contact medium 34 into the housing cover 24a.

[0017] Any conductive material can be used. Due to their mechanical properties regarding the degree of deformation, the spring properties of the fold, and the design of the pins, steel or aluminum are suitable.

[0018] Fig. 4 shows section BB.

[0019] Contact to ground the circuit board 16 is ensured via several pins 40. The spacing between the respective pins has a direct influence on the EMC shielding. The closer the pins are spaced, the better the EMC shielding. Pins 40 are soldered or connected to the circuit board 16 via a press fit.
