Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for operating an electric machine. The present invention further relates to a corresponding computer program product, a control device, a traction drive and an at least partially electrically driven motor vehicle. By means of the present invention, starting of a motor vehicle can be improved. For starting up and moving an electric vehicle, whether it be battery-electric or as a hybrid vehicle or else using a fuel cell, a signal is sent from a vehicle control unit to the control unit of the electric drive. In principle, a plurality of electric drives can also be installed in the vehicle. According to the prior art, this signal is calculated from the interpreted driver's intention for driving direction and acceleration and is converted as a torque specification for the electric drive. The driver's request is defined primarily by the selector lever position and the position of the accelerator pedal. During the starting process, the accelerator pedal is continuously actuated further by the driver from a zero position until a desired vehicle acceleration is established for the driver. The torque is converted by the control unit of the electric drive into corresponding current specifications for the individual phases of the electric machine. These current specifications are implemented via regulated, rapidly switching power electronic switches, whereby the electric motor rotates with the desired torque, which in turn brings about the acceleration of the vehicle. When starting from a standstill against high travel resistances, such as for instance against a curbstone edge, a striking hole, on an incline or also during transport of a trailer or other large loads, the vehicle moves only very slowly or under certain circumstances not at all. The power electronics of the electric drive are thereby subject to severe thermal loads. In particular, when high current flows over a phase for a longer period of time, a critical temperature level is quickly reached. This can lead to irreparable destruction of the power electronics, which in turn can lead to failure of the entire vehicle. In order to avoid damage of this kind to the vehicle or to a drive component, the current output is regulated by dedicated protection functions in the control device of the electric drive. As a result, the mechanical torque is reduced and the driver's request can no longer be completely implemented. Thus, the vehicle may not be able to be set in motion and may remain stationary on the obstacle. In the worst case, the vehicle is even rolling in the direction opposite to the driver's intention if the vehicle is on an incline. Even if the power of the electric drive available for a short time would be sufficient to overcome the obstacle during starting. The solutions from the prior art can therefore be improved even further, in particular with regard to an improved starting behavior of a vehicle driven by an electric machine. It is the object of the present invention to at least partially overcome at least one disadvantage of the prior art. It is in particular the object of the present invention to provide a solution with the aid of which an improved starting behavior of a vehicle driven by an electric machine can be made possible. The object is achieved by a method having the features of claim 1. The object is further achieved by a computer program product having the features of claim 7, by a control device having the features of claim 8, by a traction drive having the features of claim 11 and by a motor vehicle having the features of claim 15.A method for operating an electric machine of an at least partially electrically driven vehicle is described, wherein first data relating to a driving request of a user and second data relating to real driving information of the vehicle can be supplied to a control device and wherein third data relating to operating specifications for the electric machine can be generated and output by the control device based on the first data and the second data, wherein the method has the following method steps: a) Reception of the first data relating to the driving request by the control unit, wherein the first data comprise at least one speed specification for a speed of the vehicle; b) Reception of the second data relating to real driving information of the vehicle, wherein the second data comprise at least one real speed of the vehicle; and c) generating and outputting the third data relating to operating specifications for the electric machine, wherein the type of the third data is generated by the control device based on the received second data and third data.By means of such a method, it is possible to improve the operation of an electric machine, in particular at low speeds or when starting a vehicle equipped with such an electric machine.A method for operating an electric machine of an at least partially electrically driven vehicle is thus described. An electric machine can be understood in a manner known per se to mean, for example, an electric motor which can be part of an at least partially electrically driven vehicle, such as, for example, a hybrid vehicle or preferably a purely electrically driven vehicle. The type of electric motor is not limited, for example it can be a radial flow machine or an axial flow machine, but without limiting the invention to this.In the method described here, a control device is used. The control unit can basically be part of the electric machine or a control unit separate from the electric machine. The control device can basically comprise a computing unit, also referred to as a computer, with the aid of which method steps described below can be carried out, for example using a correspondingly installed computer program product.First data relating to a driving request of a user of the vehicle and second data relating to real driving information of the vehicle can be supplied to the control unit. These data are not limited in their type and may include, for example, analog data or digital data. For this purpose, the control device can comprise at least one receiver for receiving first data and second data. This is intended to mean, in particular, that a receiver is provided for receiving the first data and the second data, or that more than one receiver is provided for receiving the first data and the second data. In this regard, it can be provided, for example, that a first receiver is provided for receiving the first data and that a second receiver is provided for receiving the second data.Accordingly, the method described here according to method step a) comprises the control unit receiving the first data relating to the driving request, wherein the first data comprise at least one speed specification for a speed of the vehicle. A speed specification is to be understood in particular in the sense of the present invention as meaning a speed input of a user of the electric machine or of a vehicle equipped therewith. In the simplest case, the speed specification can be generated by actuating an accelerator pedal, as a result of which corresponding first data can be sent to the control unit.Furthermore, according to method step b), the method described here comprises the control device receiving the second data relating to real driving information of the vehicle, wherein the second data comprises at least one real speed of the vehicle. The real speed of the vehicle, which is already determined for a speed display for the driver of the vehicle, can be transmitted in the simplest case from a speedometer of the vehicle to the control unit. In this case, the data already used for the speed display can be expediently used. With regard to the control unit, it is furthermore provided that third data relating to operating specifications for the electric machine can be generated and output by the control unit on the basis of the first data and the second data. Accordingly, the control unit or the arithmetic unit of the control unit processes the first data and the second data in order to generate third data therefrom. The third data relate to operating specifications for the electric machine. This is intended to mean, in particular, in the sense of the present invention that the third data is to be seen as a specification which describes or instructs the operation of the electric machine and in this case, in particular, the energization of the stator of the electric machine. The type of third data is generated by the control unit and thus its computing unit based on the received second data and third data. The type of the third data, i.e. the type of operating specifications, is to be understood here in particular in the sense of the present invention, on the basis of which specifications the operation of the electric machine, i.e. in particular the energization of the stator, is to be instructed. For example, the type of operating specifications can comprise a torque specification, a rotational speed specification or the like. The third data can basically be generated by a selectable algorithm which generates the third data accordingly from the first data and the second data. It should be noted that data and algorithm are matched to each other such that the algorithm can process the received first and second data. For digital first and / or second data, the algorithm should therefore be able to process digital data. Accordingly, the algorithm should therefore be able to process analog data for analog first and / or second data. In case the first and / or second data is analog, but the algorithm processes digital data, or the first and / or second data is digital, but the algorithm processes analog data, compatibility may be generated by using a corresponding converter that converts analog data into digital data, or vice versa. Finally, the generated third data is output. For this purpose, the control device comprises a transmitter for outputting the third data for operating the electric machine. The third data can in turn be generated in analog or digital form, which can take place, for example, as a function of the selected algorithm and can be adapted to the control of the stator. In principle, the output third data can be used to a further control device or, for example, directly for energizing the stator.By means of the method described here, operation of the electric machine can have distinct advantages over solutions from the prior art.In particular, the third data and thus the operating specifications for the electric machine can be adapted to the first data and to the second data. Because the first data relate to the driving request and comprise at least one speed specification for a speed of the vehicle, and the second data relate to real driving information of the vehicle and comprise at least one real speed of the vehicle, the starting point of the operation of the electric machine can thus be a possible deviation of speed specification and real speed. This makes it possible to immediately detect and correct deviations of the real situation from the actual situation.Accordingly, disadvantages caused thereby can be prevented or the risk thereof can be at least significantly reduced. For example, the comfort of operation of a vehicle equipped with an electric machine can be significantly improved, since driving specifications are also directly implemented. This significantly improves a driving feeling. In addition, safety can also be improved since it is ensured that the desired driving specifications are also implemented in the desired manner. For example, it may be preferred thatc1) for the case that the real speed of the vehicle corresponds to a predefinable limit value or lies below this predefinable limit value, a torque specification and a speed specification are generated as third data in method step c), andc2) in the case that the real speed of the vehicle is above a predefinable limit value, but a torque specification is not generated as third data in method step c).In this embodiment, the following concrete problem can be reacted in particular. This can lead to damage up to irreparable destruction of the power electronics, which in turn can lead to failure of the entire vehicle. Even if the power of the electric drive available for a short time would be sufficient to overcome the obstacle during starting.According to the invention, this can be prevented in that no more or no longer only a torque is relevant as third data, but that the third data comprise a rotational speed specification, wherein a rotational speed in the sense of the invention means the rotational speed of the rotor of the electric machine. This makes it possible to ensure that propulsion of the vehicle always takes place in a suitable manner even in the case of the above-described problem.Accordingly, a thermal relief of the electric machine can be realized. This is because, due to the possible rapid reaction of the speed control to a driver's wish, only a short but high current output of the power electronics takes place. This reduces the thermal load on the components and prevents damage or failure of the vehicle.Due to the brief high torque output during starting, the available maximum power of the electric drive can also be fully utilized. The vehicle can overcome higher driving resistances during starting, which can improve the driving operation.Furthermore, the riding comfort for the driver can also be improved. As a result of the rapid response of the speed control, the vehicle starts to move directly on the request of the driver. There is no unpleasant and unexpected power reduction due to thermal protection functions of the electric drive. The transition from speed-controlled to torque-controlled operation is not noticeable by ramps and / or filter functions preferably to be used. Ramps and filters are characterized in the sense of the present invention in that the actual torque profile is continuous in each case when changing between torque-controlled operation and speed-controlled operation. As a result, a so-called "jerk" can be avoided, so that the comfort can be particularly high.It may furthermore be preferred that the predefinable limit value comprises a speed in a range from >0 km / h, preferably ≥3 km / h to ≤8 km / . Speeds of this type may be preferred, since, in particular during the start-up against high driving resistances, the above-described problems occur during the start-up or at very low speeds. Thus, the method described above can be of great advantage, in particular at very low speeds, such as in particular at step speed. It may further be preferred that the first data comprise a desired direction of travel of the vehicle and that the second data comprise a real direction of travel of the vehicle. In this embodiment, it can likewise be detected that, for example, during a starting on an incline, the vehicle not only remains stationary, but, as indicated above, can even roll in the opposite direction, namely downhill. This effect may not be taken into account sufficiently at any time if only the speed were considered. Accordingly, this configuration can reliably achieve the object according to the invention even when the vehicle is rolled back.Particularly preferably, the method steps a) to c) can be carried out in a repeating common sequence such that a repetition rate is in a range of less than 100 ms. This embodiment permits a substantially instantaneous reaction to corresponding conditions. As a result, the above-described disadvantages, such as overheating, can be overcome particularly effectively. In addition, the comfort of a vehicle can be so particularly high, since a driver may not know at all the different operating modes or a switch between them.It may further be preferred that method step c) is carried out by a PI controller or a PID controller. In particular, controllers or algorithms of this type are advantageously suitable for operating at very fast recovery rates and thereby reliably enabling the desired generation of the third data based on the first data and the second data. With regard to further advantages or technical features of the described method, reference is made to the description of the computer program product, of the control unit, of the traction drive, of the motor vehicle, of the figures and of the description of the figures. Also described is a computer program product comprising instructions which, when the program is executed by a computer, cause the computer to execute a method as described above.Accordingly, the computer program comprises commands for generating third data based on first data relating to the driving request by the control device, wherein the first data comprise at least one speed specification for a speed of the vehicle and further based on second data relating to real driving information of the vehicle, wherein the second data comprise at least one real speed of the vehicle and preferably the direction of travel, wherein the third data relate to operating specifications for the electric machine. In addition, the computer program product can initialize a sending of the third data in order to trigger or control an operation of the electric machine according to the third data.In particular, the computer program product is loaded on a computer, also referred to as a computing unit, which is a component of a control unit. The control device can be part of the electric machine or be connected to it. For example, the control device can be part of an inverter for the electric machine. In a preferred embodiment, the computer program product may comprise instructions for implementing:c1) for the case that the real speed of the vehicle corresponds to a predefinable limit value or lies below this predefinable limit value, a torque specification and a speed specification are generated as third data in method step c); andc2) in the case that the real speed of the vehicle is above a predefinable limit value, but a torque specification is not generated as third data in method step c).To implement the above, the computer program product may comprise an algorithm, which may be somewhat configured as a PI controller or PID controller.Such a computer program product may allow the driving of a vehicle equipped with an electric machine to be improved, wherein in particular a starting of the vehicle or a driving of the vehicle at very low speeds is improved. With regard to further advantages or technical features of the described computer program product, reference is made to the description of the method, of the control unit, of the traction drive, of the motor vehicle, of the figures and of the description of the figures.Furthermore, a control device for operating an electric machine of an at least partially electrically driven vehicle is described, wherein the control device comprises at least one receiver for receiving first data and second data, wherein the first data relate to the driving request of a user and comprise at least one speed specification for a speed of the vehicle, and wherein the second data relate to real driving information of the vehicle and comprise at least one real speed of the vehicle, wherein the control unit comprises an algorithm by which third data relating to operating specifications for the electric machine can be generated, wherein the type of the third data can be generated by the algorithm based on the received second data and third data, and wherein the control unit comprises a transmitter for outputting the third data for operating the electric machine.Such a control device is thus preferably designed to execute a method described above. Accordingly, the control device can have the advantages according to which the driving of a vehicle equipped with an electric machine is improved, wherein in particular a starting of the vehicle or a driving of the vehicle at very low speeds is improved. The control unit thus serves to operate an electric machine. It can in principle be any control device which serves to operate the electric machine, that is to say in principle to transmit operating instructions to the electric machine or a part thereof. The operating instructions can in this case comprise, in particular, the energization of the stator of the electric machine, which takes place as a function of specific specifications, such as, in particular, rotational speed or torque dependence, as described above with reference to the method. The algorithm included for this purpose can be part of a computer program product which is loaded on a computer of the control unit, which is also referred to as a computing unit. In particular, the computer program product is configured as described above. Accordingly, this may have an algorithm comprising a PI controller or a PID controller. The algorithm can preferably be configured such that, if the real speed of the vehicle corresponds to a predefinable limit value or lies below this predefinable limit value, a torque specification and a speed specification are generated as third data in method step c), and if the real speed of the vehicle lies above a predefinable limit value, however, no speed specification is generated as third data in method step c).For example, the control device by which the third data are generated can be part of an inverter for the electric machine. However, the invention is not limited to this configuration. In principle, a converter can be provided part of the control unit or connected to the latter. The converter may serve to convert digital data into analog data, for example, or vice versa. This is necessary, for example, if the algorithm processes digital data, but the first data and / or the second data are obtained as analog data, or if the algorithm processes analog data, but the first data and / or the second data are obtained as digital data. In principle, when generating the first and the second data, it should be ensured that these are processable by the algorithm, or that the data are processed or converted accordingly such that this is possible. However, this is usually possible without problems for the skilled person. In addition, the transmitter of the control unit can be configured to output the third data to a corresponding receiver, such as directly to the stator or to a further control unit. The output data can then preferably be output in a manner in which they can be processed directly for energizing. Alternatively, it is possible, for example, to provide a further converter. With regard to further advantages or technical features of the described control unit, reference is made to the description of the computer program product, of the method, of the traction drive, of the motor vehicle, of the figures and of the description of the figures.Furthermore, a traction drive for an at least partially electrically driven vehicle is described, wherein the traction drive comprises an electric machine and a control device for operating the electric machine, characterized in that the control device is configured as described above and in that energization of the stator of the electric machine can be controlled by the third data that can be output by the control device. The traction drive serves in particular to drive an at least partially electrically driven vehicle. For this purpose, the traction drive has an electric machine, which can also be referred to as an electric motor. The type of electric machine is not fundamentally limited. In principle, the electric machine can be designed as known from the prior art.The traction drive also includes a control unit for operating the electric machine, which means, for the purposes of the invention, that the electric machine may include the control unit, the latter may thus be part of the electric machine, or that the electric machine may be connected to the control unit. The control device serves to operate the electric machine, thus supplying operating specifications to the electric machine. It is configured as described above.Accordingly, the control device may be part of an inverter for the electric machine and the third data output by the control device may be received by a control device of the electric machine for operating the same. The inverter in principle supplies the electric motor with voltage, so that the resulting current exactly generates the torque requested by the vehicle control device, for example, in the motor and transmits it to the vehicle axle via the transmission. As a result, it is particularly efficient for the control device on which the method described above is carried out to be directly the control device of the inverter. The third data serve in particular for energizing a stator of the electric machine in order to set the rotor in rotation and to operate the electric machine in such a way as is described above in greater detail. In a manner known per se, the electric traction drive can comprise a correspondingly designed and dimensioned high-voltage battery, the inverter and precisely the electric motor or the electric machine. In principle, the traction drive can be designed as from the prior art, except for the configuration of the present invention of the control unit.Accordingly, the traction drive makes it possible to improve the driving of a vehicle equipped with an electric machine, wherein in particular a starting of the vehicle or a driving of the vehicle at very low speeds is improved. With regard to further advantages or technical features of the described traction drive, reference is made to the description of the computer program product, of the control unit, of the method, of the motor vehicle, of the figures and of the description of the figures.Furthermore, a motor vehicle is described, wherein the motor vehicle has a traction drive for at least partially electrically driving the motor vehicle, characterized in that the traction drive is configured as described above, wherein the motor vehicle furthermore has an input unit, by means of which a speed specification can be input by a user, wherein first data can be transmitted from the input unit to the control device of the traction drive, and wherein at least one wheel of the motor vehicle can be driven by the stator of the traction drive.Accordingly, the motor vehicle may be an at least partially electrically driven vehicle, such as a purely electrically driven vehicle or a hybrid vehicle. It has the traction drive described above. In order to transmit the first data to the latter, the motor vehicle further has an input unit, by means of which a speed specification can be input by a user, wherein first data can be transmitted from the input unit to the control device of the traction drive. The input unit and the means for transmitting it to the control device, such as the inverter, can be configured as is known per se from the prior art. Preferably, the input unit may include an accelerator pedal operated by a user of the vehicle to input a driving instruction. Insofar as the driving specifications also include a driving direction, a corresponding input unit can include a driving direction input device. If, after the generation of the third data by the control device, the stator is then energized and the rotor is correspondingly set in rotation, a wheel or an axle of the vehicle can be driven. In the sense of the present invention, the electric motor can be assigned, for example, to a wheel or an axle, in order to thus provide for driving the vehicle. Accordingly, at least one wheel of the motor vehicle can be driven by the stator of the traction drive. The vehicle as described above has the particular advantage that the driving of a vehicle equipped with an electric machine is improved, wherein in particular a starting of the vehicle or a driving of the vehicle at very low speeds is improved. With regard to further advantages or technical features of the described motor vehicle, reference is made to the description of the computer program product, of the control unit, of the traction drive, of the method, of the figures and of the description of the figures. The invention is explained further below with reference to the figures, wherein individual or a plurality of features of the figures can be a feature of the invention alone or in combination. Furthermore, the figures are only to be seen as exemplary but in no way restrictive. FIG. 1 shows diagrams illustrating an operation of an electric machine according to the prior art; and FIG. 2 shows diagrams illustrating an operation of an electric machine according to the present invention.FIG. 1 shows various diagrams which show an operation of an electric machine according to the prior art. In this case, FIG. 1 a) shows the speed of a vehicle or the rotational speed of a rotor on the Y axis and the time on the X axis, FIG. 1 b) shows the driver's wish or the torque on the Y axis and the time on the X axis, and FIG. 1 c) shows the temperature of the power electronics on the Y axis and the time on the X axis.In FIG. 1, a problem of the prior art is shown. When starting from standstill against high driving resistances, a torque coupled to a driver's request may not be sufficient to set the vehicle in motion. The power electronics of the electric drive are thereby subject to severe thermal loads.Particularly, when high current flows over a longer period of time over a phase, a critical temperature level shown by curve A in FIG. 1 cis quickly reached. In order to avoid damage of this kind to the vehicle or to a drive component, the current output is regulated by dedicated protective functions in the control device of the electric drive and the temperature remains below the critical value (curve B in FIG. 1 c ).However, as a result, the mechanical torque (curve B in FIG. 1 b) also decreases and remains far below the maximum torque (curve A in FIG. 1 b), which has the result that it is no longer possible to match the torque which corresponds to the driver's wish (curve B in FIG. 1 b), with the result that the driver's wish can no longer be completely implemented. Thus, the vehicle may not be able to be driven and may remain stationary on the obstacle, as shown by curve A in FIG. 1 a.This problem can be prevented according to the present invention as shown in Fig. 2. FIG. 2 again shows various diagrams which show an operation of an electric machine according to the invention. In this case, FIG. 2 a) shows the speed of a vehicle or the rotational speed of a rotor on the Y axis and the time on the X axis, FIG. 2 b) shows the driver's wish or the torque on the Y axis and the time on the X axis, and FIG. 2 c) shows the temperature of the power electronics on the Y axis and the time on the X axis.As can be seen in particular in FIG. 2 b), in the time range i) an intervention into the operating mode takes place in such a way that the energization of the stator is no longer purely torque-based, but rather the energization is carried out on a rotational speed basis. This reduces the torque, shown by curve B in FIG. 2 b), and corresponds in the following to the driver's wish, which corresponds to curve c) in FIG. 2 c). As a result, the necessary torque for overcoming the driving resistances can be provided by short but high current output of the power electronics.Accordingly, the torque remains below the maximum torque (curve A) in FIG. 2 b), so that no intervention of a temperature control is necessary. This is shown in FIG. 2 c ) in which the actual temperature (curve B in FIG. 2 c )) remains below the maximum temperature (curve A in FIG. 2 c ). This allows the speed of the vehicle to be increased intentionally (curve A in FIG. 2 a), as shown in FIG. 2 a ).Accordingly, the vehicle may be activated as desired. As soon as the vehicle has started moving and has reached a defined minimum speed (speed hysteresis), the driver's request is sent again as a torque specification to the electric drive and the speed control in the electric drive is switched off. At higher rotational speeds, the individual phases of the power electronics are no longer subject to such high thermal stress.
