Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL AREA
[0001] The invention relates to a vehicle seating arrangement with an occupant restraint system according to the preamble of claim 1. It further relates to a vehicle with at least one such vehicle seating arrangement. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] For vehicle seating systems with a long adjustment range, integrating the occupant restraint system into the seat is advantageous for reasons of comfort and safety. For example, a seat belt can be integrated into a vehicle seat. However, since all forces exerted on the seat belt in the event of an accident must be transferred through the vehicle seat into the vehicle structure, the structure and adjustment mechanisms of the vehicle seat and seat console must be designed accordingly. This, in turn, results in a significantly increased mass and weight of the vehicle seat compared to a conventional vehicle seat, and the structure of the vehicle seat requires more installation space than a conventional vehicle seat. STATE OF THE ART
[0003] From DE 10 2007 041 000 A1, a motor vehicle seat is known which is longitudinally displaceable on a vehicle structure by means of a base frame and which has an integrated three-point safety belt with a shoulder belt section that runs from a belt retractor attached to the vehicle base frame under the seat backwards in the direction of travel and is then deflected upwards behind the seat back by a transversely extending deflection rod attached to the base frame, where it is deflected forwards to the shoulder of a passenger sitting on the seat by a deflection element located on one side of the upper edge of the seat back. Both the seat base frame and the seat back with the deflection element must absorb the forces generated in the event of a collision and transfer them into the vehicle structure. The seat back, in particular, must therefore be designed to be very robust.
[0004] From US Patent 6,116,696 A, a seat belt system for a motor vehicle is known, comprising a three-point seat belt for a rear row of seats, the shoulder belt of which is attached to a storage surface fixed to the vehicle structure located behind the row of seats.
[0005] Furthermore, DE 100 45 328 A1 discloses a three-point seat belt for motor vehicles, wherein the shoulder strap of the belt runs over a guide at the top and from there to a lower-mounted retractor. The guide is provided at the free end of an upwardly directed, flexible arm (11) which can bend and thereby absorb energy when the belt is subjected to stress in a collision.
[0006] Furthermore, US 5,823,627 A shows an occupant restraint belt that is attached to an upper attachment point by a sliding belt guide. This belt guide is attached to the top of an elastic, flexible, extended mast that is attached to one side of the seat back. The mast is normally straight and has the same orientation as the seat back, but can be bent downward and forward when a forward and downward force is applied to the belt guide. PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION
[0007] The object of the present invention is to provide an improved vehicle seating arrangement with an occupant restraint system, in which the occupant restraint system moves with the vehicle seat during longitudinal adjustment without significantly increasing the weight and volume of the vehicle seat. Furthermore, a vehicle with at least one such vehicle seating arrangement is to be provided.
[0008] The part of the problem relating to the vehicle seating arrangement is solved by the features of claim 1 and the part of the problem relating to the vehicle is solved by the features of claim 7.
[0009] A vehicle seating arrangement with an occupant restraint system, wherein the vehicle seat has a seat back and a seat base which, together with the seat back, is longitudinally displaceable via a seat console to a body structure of the vehicle, and wherein the occupant restraint system has a seat belt arrangement with an upper body belt section having a rear attachment element, is characterized in that a load-bearing element, which is longitudinally displaceable together with the vehicle seat, is provided on the rear side of the seat back facing away from the seat base and at a distance from it, and that the rear attachment element of the upper body belt section is attached to the longitudinally displaceable load-bearing element.
[0010] The seat console preferably has at least one guide section rigidly connected to the body structure, for example a lower seat rail, and a runner section connected to the seat base and guided longitudinally displaceably relative to the guide section, for example an upper seat rail. In this way, a conventional rail-guided longitudinal adjustment device for the vehicle seat is created. Advantageously, the longitudinally displaceable load-bearing element is connected to the runner section of the seat console. ADVANTAGES
[0011] The belt retractor is located in a load-bearing element, such as a partition wall, that moves with the vehicle seat and is designed separately from the seat back. The forces are transferred to the vehicle structure solely via the longitudinal adjustment mechanism, for example, the seat rail system. This allows the adjustment mechanisms for the seat back, any seat height adjustment, and the seat frame itself to be designed much lighter, more compact, and therefore more cost-effectively.
[0012] Further preferred and advantageous design features of the vehicle seat arrangement according to the invention are the subject of dependent claims 2 to 6.
[0013] Preferably, the load-bearing element is designed as a partition element that can be moved longitudinally together with the vehicle seat.
[0014] Preferably, the rear fastening element of the upper body belt section is formed on a belt retractor that receives a rear, free end of the upper body belt section on a belt winding spool.
[0015] It is also particularly advantageous if the rear fastening element of the upper body belt section is attached to the rear of the longitudinally movable load-bearing element facing away from the seat back, and if a belt deflection device is provided on or in an upper area of the load-bearing element, which deflects the upper body belt section of the safety belt assembly forwards in the direction of the seat back.
[0016] Preferably, the belt deflection device is arranged at the level of the upper edge of the seat back or above it.
[0017] According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, which can be combined with other embodiments, the rear fastening element of the upper body belt section has a belt retractor or a belt retractor device with a belt winding mechanism.
[0018] It is particularly advantageous if the seat belt arrangement also includes a lap belt section which, together with the upper body belt section, forms a three-point seat belt.
[0019] The invention is also directed to a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, with at least one of the aforementioned vehicle seating arrangements according to the invention.
[0020] Preferred and advantageous design features of this vehicle are the subject of dependent claims 8 to 10.
[0021] In such a vehicle, which has a front row of seats arranged in the usual forward direction of travel and at least one rear row of seats arranged behind the front row of seats in the opposite direction of travel, it is advantageous if the vehicle's seat arrangement is part of the at least one rear row of seats of the vehicle.
[0022] A further development is particularly preferred in which the at least one rear row of seats has at least two seats arranged next to each other, each of which is formed by a vehicle seat arrangement according to the invention.
[0023] Alternatively, it is also advantageous if at least one rear row of seats has at least three seats arranged next to each other, of which at least the middle seat is formed by a vehicle seat arrangement according to the invention.
[0024] Preferred embodiments of the invention with additional design details and further advantages are described and explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0025] It shows: Fig. 1 a cutaway schematic side view of a vehicle with a front and a rear row of seats and Fig. 2 a vehicle seat arrangement according to the invention. PRESENTATION OF PREFERRED EXECUTION EXAMPLES
[0026] Fig. Figure 1 schematically shows a cutaway side view of a vehicle 1 designed as a motor vehicle with a body 10 comprising a body structure 12. A front row of seats 2' and a rear row of seats 3', facing the direction of travel F of the vehicle 1, are provided in a generally known manner within a vehicle interior 14 and each has at least one vehicle seat arrangement 2, 3, each comprising a vehicle seat 20, 30, which is connected to the body structure 12 by means of a seat console 21, 31 so as to be longitudinally displaceable, as symbolically represented by the double arrows L1 and L2. The vehicle seats 20, 30 can also be height-adjustable, as symbolically represented by the double arrows H1 and H2. A luggage compartment 16 is provided behind the rear row of seats 3'.
[0027] Each of the vehicle seating arrangements 2, 3 can be described below using the Fig.The invention must be designed in the inventive manner described in Section 2, preferably applying to at least one vehicle seat arrangement 3 of the rear seat row 3'. The following description is therefore not limited to the vehicle seat arrangement 3 of the rear seat row 3', but can also apply to the vehicle seat arrangement 2 of the front seat row 2', particularly if a vehicle has only one seat row. If a vehicle is equipped with more than two seat rows, the invention can also apply to at least one further intermediate seat row. It is also irrelevant whether a seat row has one or more vehicle seat arrangements, as the invention can be implemented at any vehicle seat.
[0028] The vehicle seating arrangement 3 comprises a vehicle seat 30, which includes a seat base 32 and a seat back 34. The seat base 32 is connected to the body structure 12 of the vehicle 1, for example a body floor 12', in a manner known per se and displaceable longitudinally via the seat console 31. The seat console 31 has a guide section 31', for example a lower seat rail, which is fixedly connected to the body structure 12, and a slider section 31'', for example an upper seat rail, which is connected to the seat base 32 and displaceable longitudinally relative to the guide section 31'. In this way, a conventional rail-guided longitudinal adjustment device for the respective vehicle seat 20, 30 is created. Support elements 31''' are provided between the slider section 31'' and the seat base 32; these can, for example, be part of a seat height adjustment device. The seat backrest 34 is attached to the seat base 32 or directly to the seat console 31 by means of a swivel joint 33 and is therefore adjustable in its inclination.
[0029] The vehicle seating arrangement 3 is further equipped with an occupant restraint system 4, which includes a seat belt assembly 40 with a three-point seat belt 42. The three-point seat belt 42 has a lap belt section 43 and an upper body belt section 44, which is provided at a rear end 44' facing away from the lap belt section 43 with a rear attachment element 45. The rear attachment element 45 of the upper body belt section 44 is formed on a belt retractor 46, which receives the rear end 44' of the upper body belt section 44 onto a belt winding spool 47' of a belt retractor 47, as is generally known in automatic seat belts.
[0030] On the rear side 34' of the seat back 34, facing away from the seat base 32 and at a distance A from it (in the longitudinal direction X of the vehicle), a load-bearing element 5 is provided that is longitudinally displaceable together with the vehicle seat 3. This load-bearing element 5 is attached to the seat console 31, preferably to its guide section 31'', by a lower mounting section 50, such that it is longitudinally displaceable with the vehicle seat. A retaining section 52 of the load-bearing element 5 extends upwards from the mounting section behind the seat back 34 and holds the belt retractor 46. A belt deflection device 48 is provided on an upper region 56 of the load-bearing element 5, which deflects the upper body belt section 44 forwards towards the seat back 34 at the level of a seat back upper edge 35.
[0031] The rear fastening element 45 of the upper body belt section 44 is thus attached to the longitudinally displaceable load-bearing element 5 on its rear side facing away from the seat back 34. This ensures that, for example, in the event of a collision of the vehicle 1, forces acting on the seat belt 42 are not transmitted via the seat back 34 – as with conventional seats with integrated seat belts – but rather via the separate load-bearing element 5 into the seat console 31 and from there into the body structure 12 of the vehicle 1.
[0032] In the example shown, the retaining section 52 of the load-bearing element 5 forms a partition element 54 between a passenger compartment 15 of the vehicle 1 and the luggage compartment 16 and thus also serves to stop luggage items sliding forward from the luggage compartment 16 in the event of a collision, so that they cannot press against the seat back 34 from behind.
[0033] The invention is not limited to the above embodiment, which merely serves to generally illustrate the core concept of the invention. Within the scope of protection, the device according to the invention can also assume other embodiments than those described above. In particular, the device can have features that represent a combination of the respective individual features of the claims.
