Description

[0001] The invention relates to a packaging arrangement, and in particular to a packaging arrangement of a hob.

[0002] EPS molded parts are commonly used to package electronic devices such as cooktops to protect the product during transport. EPS stands for "expanded polystyrene" and describes a foam commonly known under the brand name "Styrofoam."

[0003] Packaging for large-area objects made of corrugated cardboard is known, for example, from the publications DE 20 2007 007 572 U1 and WO 97 / 12 818 A1.

[0004] Such molded parts require a lot of space, which can be a disadvantage in production, as they require large storage areas, and also require a lot of space for the customer to dispose of the packaging elements. Furthermore, the disposal of such molded parts is problematic, especially since recycling the material is very difficult.

[0005] There is therefore a need to create a packaging arrangement that uses alternative materials and is ideally suited with regard to sustainability aspects.

[0006] This object of the invention is achieved by a packaging arrangement according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are part of the dependent claims.

[0007] A packaging arrangement according to the invention has a honeycomb cardboard element of low height and a honeycomb cardboard element of high height. The heights are defined from a common base. The height difference defines a step.

[0008] Honeycomb cardboard is a packaging material made from recycled paper that forms a grid of vertically glued strips. These strips have the shape of a honeycomb. Due to this structure, such shaped parts are highly impact-resistant and can withstand, in particular, very high pressure in the direction of the honeycomb's extension.

[0009] In addition, sandwich panels with such a honeycomb core are excellent in terms of their own weight and they are very easy to process.

[0010] Thus, the arrangement of the honeycomb cardboard elements according to the invention in such a way that they form a step provides a good possibility for receiving an object to be packaged and protected during transport.

[0011] Advantageously, the honeycomb cardboard element of low height can have a rectangular cross-section so that it has a flat cover surface.

[0012] The flat lid surface allows an object to be packed to rest against a flat side, such as the underside of a hob.

[0013] Advantageously, the honeycomb cardboard element of low height can be in contact with an outer surface against an inner surface of the honeycomb cardboard element of high height.

[0014] By bringing the honeycomb cardboard element of low height into contact with an outer surface against an inner surface of the honeycomb cardboard element of high height, the strength of the packaging assembly and the impact resistance of the packaging assembly can be further improved.

[0015] Advantageously, either the high-height honeycomb cardboard element or the low-height honeycomb cardboard element or both can have a bend to adapt to a corner.

[0016] According to this design, the honeycomb cardboard elements can be inserted precisely into a corner of a package, such as a box or carton, virtually eliminating any slippage of the honeycomb cardboard elements during transport. The honeycomb cardboard elements are then positioned precisely between a wall of the box or carton and are protected against displacement or shifting by the wall on the one hand and the product to be protected, such as a hob, on the other.

[0017] Advantageously, the honeycomb cardboard element of great height can be L-shaped or U-shaped in a plan view.

[0018] These designs allow for precise adaptation to the shape of a packaging such as a carton or box.

[0019] Advantageously, the honeycomb cardboard element of high height can be arranged outside the honeycomb cardboard element of low height, as seen from an article to be packaged.

[0020] While it is also possible for the honeycomb cardboard element of low height to form a base and for the honeycomb cardboard element of high height to be arranged on this honeycomb cardboard element of low height, the arrangement described above is advantageous in that the position of the honeycomb cardboard element of low height is defined by the outer honeycomb cardboard element of high height, so that mutual slipping of the honeycomb cardboard elements cannot occur.

[0021] Advantageously, an extension direction of the honeycombs in the honeycomb cardboard element of low height can be perpendicular to the common base.

[0022] According to this design, the high-height honeycomb cardboard element exhibits high compressive strength in the direction perpendicular to the base. Thus, it can easily absorb compressive loads during transport.

[0023] Advantageously, the tall honeycomb cardboard element and the short honeycomb cardboard element can be formed as a single piece. This is preferably achieved by means of an adhesive, i.e., by bonding the two honeycomb cardboard elements.

[0024] According to the invention, the packaging assembly further comprises a box in which a high-height honeycomb cardboard element is arranged on each end face and on a portion of a long side of the box. Thus, the high-height honeycomb cardboard element protects an object transported in the box from sliding against the wall of the box and from external impacts.

[0025] A crate according to the invention is understood to be any essentially cuboid-shaped container made of any material. Preferably, the crate according to the invention is a cuboid-shaped packaging carton. However, the shape of the crate is not limited to a cuboid; the invention is also applicable to round packages that are circular, oval, or elliptical in plan view, for example, or to packages of any shape, for example, star-shaped or other.

[0026] According to the invention, the packaging arrangement provides for a hob to be arranged between the inner surfaces of the high-height honeycomb cardboard elements, with a portion of its underside resting on flat cover surfaces of the low-height honeycomb cardboard elements. The height of the low-height honeycomb cardboard elements exceeds the height of an electronics housing provided on the underside of the hob.

[0027] With such an arrangement, it is not necessary to provide additional protection at the bottom of the box in the form of additional insulation elements for the electronics housing, since a sufficient distance between the floor and the bottom of the electronics housing can be ensured.

[0028] The delivery and storage of honeycomb cardboard elements are also advantageous, as they take up less space in the warehouse and during production. The honeycomb cardboard elements can be delivered in an extended state. Furthermore, this is advantageous for customers who almost exclusively dispose of cardboard elements, as they can simply add them to the waste paper.

[0029] An embodiment of the invention is shown purely schematically in the drawings and is described in more detail below. It shows: Fig. 1 is a perspective view of two honeycomb cardboard elements according to the invention; Fig. Figure 2 is a sectional side view of a packaging arrangement according to the invention; Fig. 3 a plan view of a packaging arrangement according to the invention.

[0030] Preferred embodiments and modifications are described in detail below. Fig. 1 to 3.

[0031] From the Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a low-height honeycomb cardboard element 11 and a high-height honeycomb cardboard element 21. The high-height honeycomb cardboard element 21 has a substantially rectangular cross-section and is bent twice along its longitudinal axis. Therefore, it has a substantially U-shaped form with a central part and two legs. The high-height honeycomb cardboard element 21 has inner surfaces 23 of the central part and 23a of one leg. An inner surface of the second leg is formed from the Fig. 1. In addition, the honeycomb cardboard element 21 of great height also has cover surfaces 25 of the central part and 25a and 25b of the legs.

[0032] An extension direction of the honeycombs of the tall honeycomb cardboard element 21 is shown broken away in the figure and runs essentially perpendicular to the inner surfaces 23, 23a. This is also indicated by thin, dashed double arrows W1. The low-height honeycomb cardboard element 11 is also U-shaped within the tall honeycomb cardboard element 21. Outer surfaces of the low-height honeycomb cardboard element 11 bear against the inner surfaces 23, 23a of the tall honeycomb cardboard element 21. An extension direction of the honeycombs runs in the low-height honeycomb cardboard element 11 in the height direction, i.e. perpendicular to a ceiling surface 15, 15a, 15b, as also indicated by the double arrow W2. In addition, the figure also shows inner surfaces 13 and 13a of the low-height honeycomb cardboard element 11.

[0033] The ones here in the Fig. The packaging arrangement shown in Figure 1 is designed for a hob. The packaging arrangement is shown with a hob 61 to be packaged in a side view from the Fig. 2 can be seen.

[0034] To pack the hob 61, two of the Fig. 1 is placed into a carton 31 such that the central part of the high-height honeycomb cardboard element 21 rests against one end of the carton. A hob 61 is then placed such that the underside of the hob rests against the cover surfaces 15, 15a, 15b of the low-height honeycomb cardboard elements 11. The cover surfaces 15, 15a, 15b of the low-height honeycomb cardboard elements 11 form a step.

[0035] Furthermore, the height of the low-profile honeycomb cardboard element 11 is dimensioned such that it significantly exceeds the height of an electronics housing 63 provided on the underside of the cooktop 61. Thus, the electronics housing 63 is also provided with a sufficient distance from the bottom of the box 31, so that there is no risk of damage due to impacts or external influences during transport.

[0036] As from the Fig. 2, the hob 61 is covered with a piece of corrugated cardboard 51 before a lid 41 is closed. Thus, the hob 61 is essentially held in a form-fitting manner between the low-height honeycomb cardboard elements 11 and the inner sides 23, 23a of the high-height honeycomb cardboard elements 21. Due to this arrangement, slipping of the hob 61 within the carton during transport is prevented. Furthermore, impacts acting against the narrow sides of the carton, and in particular the corners, can be well absorbed by the honeycomb cardboard elements 11 and 21. Thus, a packaged hob according to the embodiment is excellently protected during transport.

[0037] From the Fig. 3 shows a variation that shows only one of the many possible examples of the design of the honeycomb cardboard elements. As can be seen from the top view of the Fig. 3, honeycomb cardboard elements 22 of great height are L-shaped and arranged in the corners of the box 31. The honeycomb cardboard elements of low height can also be L-shaped or U-shaped, as shown in the Fig. 1. The Fig. The modification shown in Figure 3 allows a saving of packaging material to a certain extent, since at least the honeycomb cardboard element 21 of great height can be saved in the middle of the front side.

[0038] In addition to the variation shown, many other variations are possible. For example, the honeycomb cardboard elements can be made of Fig. 1 shown so that the honeycomb cardboard element of low height forms a base and a second honeycomb cardboard element of low thickness is placed on this base to form the honeycomb cardboard element of high height.

[0039] In this way, a U-shaped or L-shaped configuration of the packaging arrangement can also be created. Furthermore, the orientation of the honeycombs can be changed from the Fig. 1. Both the alignment of the honeycombs of the high-height honeycomb board element and the alignment of the honeycombs of the low-height honeycomb board element can be perpendicular or parallel to the lid surface.

[0040] Furthermore, the honeycomb cardboard elements can be glued together, i.e., provided in a one-piece manner.
