Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a switching device for monitoring the open position of a closing element, in particular a window or a door, for supplying power to a vapor extraction device, comprising at least one kinetic switch designed as a pressure switch, wherein the kinetic switch is equipped with at least one switching plunger, the direction of movement of which when the switching device is mounted in the region of the closing element is the same as the direction of movement of the closing element in the region of the switching device.Fume extractors or other exhaust air conveyors are used in various situations to carry dirty or steam laden exhaust air away from a location. In kitchens, exhaust air hoods are regularly installed above hobs or stoves or other exhaust air devices next to them in order to guide generated vapors and also odors out of the kitchen. In the last decades kitchens have regularly been designed as open domestic kitchens. There is no longer a closed wall between the kitchen and a living room, so that a uniform interior space is produced. In many, in particular single-family houses, a firing site is located in this uniform interior. An open chimney or chimney furnace is regularly used, in particular in the cold season, with the result that there is a need for fresh air for the firing site.It is known that during the operation of an exhaust hood, the fresh air supply for the firing site can be reversed into an outlet of flue gases and carbon monoxide from the firing site. Therefore, sensors have already been proposed in the prior art, which are arranged in the region of a fresh air source. A fresh air source can be, for example, a kitchen window which is monitored with a sensor in such a way that switching on of the exhaust air conveying device is only possible if the sensor indicates an unhindered supply of fresh air, for example by means of an open position of the window. With a closed window, no operation of the exhaust air conveying device should be possible. The switching devices of the type mentioned at the beginning known from the prior art usually consist of several parts. Frequently, batteries are also used which can be discharged. Switching devices with kinetic switches have therefore already been proposed, in which the electrical energy for triggering switching operations is generated solely by the actuation of the switch. A switching device of the aforementioned type is known from DE 20 2008 016 823 U1. This publication shows a switching device for monitoring the open position of a closing element, in particular a window. It comprises at least one kinetic switch with a contact pin, from the movement of which energy is generated. Also in EP 1 343 127 A1 a switching device according to the aforementioned species is known. There, a sliding door interacts with a piezoelectric element. The invention is based on the object of demonstrating a switching device of the type mentioned at the beginning which has a simple construction, is robust and stable and which reliably indicates the closed position of the window. This object is achieved according to the invention in that the overall length of the switching plunger is designed to be variable. The invention proposes a pressure switch as kinetic switch for the design of the switching device. A pressure switch is proven; it can be designed to be simple in design terms; components used for the pressure switch can allow the pressure switch to have a long use time. The pressure switch has a switching plunger with which pressure is switched. The switching plunger therefore follows a nearly translatory movement during the switching. This direction of movement is also given in the case of a closing element which is arranged in a state close to closing e.g. the window. A circular movement with a large radius results in a nearly translatory straight approach of the window sash to the window frame. The switching device is arranged such that closing the window triggers an actuation of the kinetic switch. If the window is opened again, the kinetic switch is actuated again. It can be provided here that the switching device is arranged on the frame and then a corresponding stop for the pressure switch is arranged on the casement frame. The switching device is then aligned on the window frame such that, when the window approaches the stop, the stop can switch the pressure switch. The overall length of the switching plunger of the pressure switch can be varied according to the invention. It can be extended in particular, preferably if a window sash with a greater thickness is provided. The switching plunger can consist of at least two sections screwed onto one another.According to a further development of the invention, it is provided that the kinetic switch and the switching plunger are accommodated in one and only one housing. There is thus a one-piece construction of the switching device with a housing, so that the number of manageable components is reduced to 1. A switching device constructed in this way does not require a stop on a corresponding structural element, it can itself be arranged on the window sash, namely in such a way that the switching plunger of the pressure switch is guided against the window frame when the window is closed. The housing preferably has an angular design. In section, an L-shaped design can be given, the housing can be placed with the longer L-section on the casement frame, the adjoining element, the shorter L-section being placed against an edge of the casement frame. The pressure switch is preferably arranged in the shorter L-section or also in the shorter angular section of the housing. The pressure switch is guided past the sash in this section and can be guided against the window frame during a closing movement of the closing element in order to trigger a switching of the kinetic switch when a kitchen window, for example, is closed. The planar contact of the longer angle section on the casement frame additionally provides increased safety against the dropping of components. In switching devices from the prior art, sensor components fall off the windows quite well, so that despite the closed window, the extractor hood is informed in the kitchen that the window is open. An exhaust air control can start up and cause damage to a firing site in operation, in particular the risk of poisoning by carbon monoxide.According to a further development of the invention, the switching device according to the invention is characterized in that connecting means for attachment in the region of the closing element are assigned to the housing. The connecting means can comprise fastening rails and screws, which enable a positionally fixed attachment of the switching device. Finally, it can be provided that the switching device is attached to a pivot frame of the window in the case of a closing element designed as a window. The housing and the switching plunger can be made of plastic. An exemplary embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawing. The following are shown: FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a switching device for monitoring the open position of a closing element, and FIG. 2 shows a further perspective view of the switching device according to FIG. 1 with a separate component. The housing 1 according to the invention in FIG. 1 is formed angularly, wherein it has a longer angular section 2 and a shorter angular section 3. The longer angle section 2 can be placed via a fastening plate 4 on the pivot frame of a closing element. The placement is carried out in a fixed position with the aid of suitable fastening elements, such as screws. The placement of the housing 1 on a swivel frame takes place in such a way that the shorter angle section 3 is approached to the frame by the edge of the swivel frame. This frame of the closing element is arranged in a fixed position in the surrounding masonry, for example.FIG. 2 shows the housing 1 from another perspective. Here, the fastening plate 4 for the housing 1 can be seen more clearly. It has perforations 5 for the passage of screws or the like. The fastening plate 4 has undercuts, over which the housing 1 can be slid onto the fastening plate 4.In the shorter angular section 3 of the housing 1, a switching plunger 6 is arranged as a pressure switch. If the housing 1 is brought up to the stationary frame of the closing element when the closing element is closed, the housing 1 first strikes the frame with the switching plunger 6. A kinetic switch can be triggered by the switching plunger 6 in the interior of the housing 1.The component still shown in FIG. 2 is an additional section 7 for the switching plunger 6. This ensures that the sound ram 6 can be moved with the section 7 to the frame in a manner triggering the switch. The section 7 is screwed, for example, onto the switching plunger 6; corresponding threads can be provided for this purpose.
