Description

Field of invention

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for suction and supply of liquids and in particular to a manually operated dual-purpose pump for suction and discharge of liquids and its component arrangement. State of the art

[0002] The dual-purpose pump for suction and discharge of liquids can be used to pump liquids out of / into a container space and comprises a base, a liquid storage container, a pump, and a control valve. The liquid storage container is positioned upright on top of the base. A liquid storage chamber for storing liquids is formed inside the liquid storage container. The liquid storage container is provided with a cover. The cover is connected to a guide hose, a liquid guide hose, and an air guide tube. The guide hose is continuously connected to the liquid guide hose. The guide hose extends to the outside of the liquid storage container. The liquid guide hose is inserted into the liquid storage chamber.the liquid flows into / out of the liquid storage chamber through the guide hose and the liquid guide hose, the air guide tube is continuously connected to the liquid storage chamber, the pump is positioned upright on top of the base, the pump and the liquid storage container are arranged side by side, and a piston, which controls the flow of air into / out of the pump, is arranged inside the pump.

[0003] The control valve is arranged laterally on one side of the pump, the control valve having a long valve body, a valve chamber formed inside the valve body, one side of the valve body being provided with a first air guide opening connected through to the valve chamber, the other side of the valve body being provided with a first air inlet opening and a second air inlet opening, each connected through to the valve chamber, the air guide tube being connected to the first air guide opening, air flowing through the air guide tube between the valve chamber and the liquid storage chamber, the first air supply tube being connected through to the first air inlet opening, air flowing between a first branch chamber and the valve chamber, the second air supply tube being connected through to the second air inlet opening, air flowing between a second branch chamber and the valve chamber.a valve stem is arranged in the valve chamber, one end of the valve stem protrudes from the valve housing and is connected to an actuating section, two separating rings are fitted annularly onto the valve stem and the two separating rings are spaced apart from each other along the axial direction of the valve stem and each bears radially against the side wall of the valve chamber.

[0004] The axial position of the valve stem is changed. Actuating the stem drives the piston into a reciprocating motion. Air in the fluid reservoir is either pumped out or into the fluid reservoir to create a vacuum or pressure, thus determining whether the fluid is pumped into or out of the fluid reservoir via the guide tube and fluid guide hose.

[0005] The first air duct opening is continuously connected to one side of the valve chamber, while the first and second air inlet openings are continuously connected to the other side of the valve chamber. The piping arrangement for providing airflow between the liquid storage tank, the pump, and the control valve is very complex.

[0006] The liquid storage tank and pump are positioned side-by-side on the base. Manufacturers typically opt for a larger-volume liquid storage tank to accommodate a variety of different usage requirements. The overall volume is large, which is not ideal for storage and transportation. If the liquid storage tank develops cracks or leaks, the user will have no choice but to purchase a new dual-purpose pump for drawing and discharging liquids. Even if the pump and control valve of the dual-purpose pump cannot be reused, they will be unusable.

[0007] For use when replacing various automotive fluids, such as engine oils, if only a dual-purpose pump for drawing and draining fluids has been purchased, after pumping out the old fluid, the guide hose, fluid guide hose, and air guide tube must first be removed from the cover. Then, the cover is opened to empty the fluid from the reservoir. After cleaning the inside of the reservoir, new fluid is poured into it. Once the cover is replaced and reconnected to the reservoir, the guide hose, fluid guide hose, and air guide tube are reconnected. Activating the control valve and pump fills the reservoir with the new fluid. This operating procedure is cumbersome, and the fluid exchange process is lengthy. Users who frequently need to exchange fluids typically opt to purchase multiple dual-purpose pumps for both suction and discharge, designed to pump fluids in and out, respectively, in order to reduce fluid exchange time. Furthermore, multiple dual-purpose pumps, each with a large fluid reservoir, take up considerable storage space. Object of the invention

[0014] The control valve 40 is arranged horizontally on the second side 22 and comprises a tubular valve housing 41 and a valve stem 42, wherein the valve housing 41 is connected to the cover 20, a valve chamber 43 is formed inside the valve housing 41, the valve chamber 43 is continuously connected to the outside space via two ends of the valve housing 41, the valve housing 41 is provided with an annular wall 44, a first channel 411, a second channel 412 and a third channel 413, the annular wall 44 surrounds the valve chamber 43 in a radial direction and the first channel 411, the second channel 412 and the third channel 413 each extend to the same side of the annular wall 44 and are continuously connected to the valve chamber 43. Specifically, the first channel 411, the second channel 412 and the third channel 413 all extend selectively towards the ring wall 44, which faces the liquid storage chamber 11.The first channel 411, the second channel 412, the third channel 413 and two ends of the valve chamber 43 are spaced apart from each other along the axial direction of the valve housing 41, wherein the second channel 412 is located between the first channel 411 and the third channel 413, the first channel 411 is continuously connected to the first air supply pipe 51, the second channel 412 is continuously connected to the second air supply pipe 52 and the third channel 413 is continuously connected to the third air supply pipe 53.

[0015] The valve stem 42 is arranged in the valve chamber 43 such that it is axially displaceable. The two axial ends of the valve stem 42 extend to the outside of the valve housing 41 to form a first actuating section 422 and a second actuating section 424. By selectively pressing either the first actuating section 422 or the second actuating section 424, the valve stem 42 can be moved axially. The valve stem 42 radially surrounds a first leak-proof ring 61, a second leak-proof ring 62, and a third leak-proof ring 63, with the first leak-proof ring 61 being located between the first channel 411 and the first actuating section 422.Accordingly, the first leak-proof ring 61 can optionally abut the ring wall 44, thereby selectively connecting the first channel 411 through the valve chamber 43 to the outer space of the valve housing 41. The second leak-proof ring 62 is located between the first channel 411 and the third channel 413, with the radial outer circumference of the second leak-proof ring 62 abutting the ring wall 44, thereby selectively connecting the second channel 412 through the valve chamber 43 to either the first channel 411 or the third channel 413. The third leak-proof ring 63 is located between the third channel 413 and the second actuating section 424. Accordingly, the third leak-proof ring 63 can optionally abut the ring wall 44, thereby selectively connecting the third channel 413 through the valve chamber 43 to the outer space of the valve housing 41.

[0016] If the valve stem 42 is in the Fig. In the position shown in Figure 6, the second leak-proof ring 62 is located between the second channel 412 and the third channel 413, wherein the first channel 411 is continuously connected to the second channel 412 through the valve chamber 43, the second channel 412 is not continuously connected to the third channel 413 through the valve chamber 43, the first leak-proof ring 61 is inserted into the valve chamber 43 and rests radially against the ring wall 44 to form an airtight seal, the valve chamber 43 is not continuously connected to the outside environment through the end of the valve housing 41 facing the first actuating section 422, the third leak-proof ring 63 is located outside the area of the ring wall 44, the third leak-proof ring 63 does not rest against the ring wall 44, the third channel 413 through the valve chamber 43 and the end of the valve housing facing the second actuating section 424 41 is continuously connected to the outside environment,The liquid storage chamber 11 is continuously connected to the first branch chamber 322 via the second air supply pipe 52, the second channel 412, the valve chamber 43, the first channel 411, the first air supply pipe 51 and the air guide channel 23, and the second branch chamber 324 is continuously connected to the outside environment via the third air supply pipe 53 and the valve chamber 43.

[0017] It will be on Fig. 5. By actuating the handle 38, the piston 34 can be moved back and forth, thereby continuously changing the volumes of the first branch chamber 322 and the second branch chamber 324, whereby air is pumped out of the liquid storage chamber 11 and into the first branch chamber 322, the air in the first branch chamber 322 being drawn unidirectionally into the second branch chamber 324 via the piston 34 and then discharged to the outside environment through the third air supply tube 53 and the valve chamber 43. The liquid storage chamber 11 is under negative pressure, which draws the external liquid 90 into the liquid storage chamber 11 through the liquid guide tube 13.

[0018] If the valve stem 42 is in the Fig. In the position shown in Figure 9, the second leak-proof ring 62 is located between the first channel 411 and the second channel 412, wherein the second channel 412 is continuously connected to the third channel 413 through the valve chamber 43, the first channel 411 is not continuously connected to the second channel 412 through the valve chamber 43, the third leak-proof ring 63 is inserted into the valve chamber 43 and rests radially against the ring wall 44 to form an airtight seal, the valve chamber 43 is not continuously connected to the outside environment through the end of the valve housing 41 facing the second actuating section 424, the first leak-proof ring 61 is located outside the area of the ring wall 44, the first leak-proof ring 61 does not rest against the ring wall 44, the first channel 411 through the valve chamber 43 and the end of the valve housing facing the first actuating section 422 41 is continuously connected to the outside environment,The liquid storage chamber 11 is continuously connected to the second branch chamber 324 via the second air supply pipe 52, the second channel 412, the valve chamber 43, the third channel 413 and the third air supply pipe 53, and the first branch chamber 322 is continuously connected to the outside environment via the air supply channel 23, the first air supply pipe 51, the first channel 411 and the valve chamber 43.

[0019] By actuating the handle 38, the piston 34 can be moved back and forth, thereby continuously changing the volumes of the first branch chamber 322 and the second branch chamber 324. Air is drawn in from the outside environment and flows into the valve chamber 43 via the end of the valve housing 4 facing the first actuating section 422, and then further into the first branch chamber 322. The air in the first branch chamber 322 flows unidirectionally via the piston 34 into the second branch chamber 324 and is then discharged through the third air supply tube 53, the valve chamber 43, and the second air supply tube 52 into the liquid storage chamber 11. The liquid storage chamber 11 is pressurized, forcing the liquid 90 stored in the liquid storage chamber 11 to flow outwards through the liquid guide tube 13.

[0020] By selectively pressing the first actuating section 422 or the second actuating section 424 and changing the axial positioning of the valve stem 42, when actuating the handle 38 to cause a back-and-forth movement of the piston 34, the air in the liquid storage chamber 11 can be pumped out or air can be pumped into the liquid storage chamber 11, thus placing the liquid storage chamber 11 in a negative pressure or positive pressure state, in order to determine whether a liquid 90 is drawn into the liquid storage chamber 11 through the liquid guide tube 13 or the liquid 90 in the liquid storage chamber 11 is pumped outwards.

[0021] The first channel 411, the second channel 412, and the third channel 413 each extend to the same side of the annular wall 44. This simplifies the airflow path between the cover 20, the pump 30, and the control valve 40. The pump 30 and the control valve 40 are each connected to the cover 20. The first air supply pipe 51, the second air supply pipe 52, and the third air supply pipe 53 can each be connected to the first side 21, thus simplifying the overall pipe configuration and reducing complexity. The cover 20, the pump 30, the control valve 40, the first air supply pipe 51, the second air supply pipe 52, and the third air supply pipe 53 form a single-piece component assembly. Once the liquid storage tank 10 has been separated from the cover 20, it can be easily cleaned. There is no need to dismantle the pump 30 or the control valve 40, nor the first air supply pipe 51, the second air supply pipe 52 or the third air supply pipe 53.

[0022] The component arrangement can be configured so that, depending on the different usage requirements, the liquid storage container 10 has a suitable volume to form a dual-purpose pump for drawing in and discharging liquids. The user does not need to purchase a dual-purpose pump for drawing in and discharging liquids with a large liquid storage container 10, which simplifies storage and transport. If the liquid storage container 10 develops cracks or leaks, only a replacement liquid storage container 10, which is connectable to the cover 20, needs to be selected. The cover 20, pump 30, control valve 40, first air supply tube 51, second air supply tube 52, and third air supply tube 53 can still be used.

[0023] The user can have several liquid storage containers 10 available that are suitable for the component assembly. When the liquid 90 to be replaced is drawn in, the component assembly is equipped with one of the liquid storage containers 10. When a new liquid 90 is to be poured into the container space described in the prior art, the component assembly is removed and then combined with another liquid storage container 10, which contains the liquid 90. Replacing the liquid 90 is simple.

[0024] The distance between the first leak-proof ring 61 and the third leak-proof ring 63 is greater than the distance between the first channel 411 and the third channel 413.

[0025] The first actuating section 422 and the second actuating section 424 are limited by two ends of the valve housing 41 in order to limit the axial displacement stroke of the valve stem 42.

[0026] One axial end of the valve housing 41 is defined as the first end 45 and the other end as the second end 46, wherein the first end 45 is located between the first channel 411 and the first actuating section 422 and is opposite the first actuating section 422, the second end 46 is located between the third channel 413 and the second actuating section 424 and is opposite the second actuating section 424, and the first end 45, the first channel 411, the second channel 412, the third channel 413 and the second end 46 are arranged successively spaced apart along the axial direction of the valve housing 41.

[0027] Inside the valve housing 41, a first subchamber 47 and a second subchamber 48 are formed, each continuously connected to the valve chamber 43, wherein the first subchamber 47 is located between the first channel 411 and the first end 45 and extends to the first end 45, the second subchamber 48 is located between the third channel 413 and the second end 46 and extends to the second end 46, and the inner diameters of the first subchamber 47 and the second subchamber 48 are each larger than the outer diameters of the first leak-proof ring 61 and the third leak-proof ring 63 in the free state, so that when the first leak-proof ring 61 is removed from the valve chamber 43, the first leak-proof ring 61 is inserted into the first subchamber 47 and thus the valve chamber 43 can be continuously connected to the outside environment via the first subchamber 47 and, when the third leak-proof ring 63 is removed from the valve chamber 43, the third leak-proof ring 63 is inserted into the second sub-chamber 48 and thus the valve chamber 43 can be continuously connected to the outside environment via the second sub-chamber 48.

[0028] It will be on Fig. Reference is made to Section 10. The varied embodiment is based on the preferred embodiment. The main difference between the varied embodiment and the preferred embodiment is that the valve chamber 43 extends to the first end 45 and second end 46, and the valve housing 41 does not have a first sub-chamber 47 and a second sub-chamber 48 as in the preferred embodiment.
