Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a mounting bracket for attaching at least one wall plate to a wall, with a bracket, preferably made of metal, wherein the bracket has a central section for attaching the wall plate and two mounting flanges adjoining it laterally, and wherein the central section has bores for receiving fastening means.
[0002] Water pipes supplying taps or similar fixtures are typically installed as pipes between a wall and a partition wall. This is particularly necessary during renovations to allow for the installation of water pipes without major alterations to the masonry.
[0003] Wall plates serve to provide a future connection point for fittings, valves, pipes, or similar components. The wall plate is attached to the existing wall, and its inlet is connected to a supply line, such as a water pipe. The component to be supplied is connected to the outlet, which typically points at a right angle from the wall, similar to a fitting, allowing the medium, for example, water, to flow from the supply line into the wall plate and from the wall plate into the component.
[0004] The wall panels must be fixed and fastened in a predetermined position relative to the wall before the partition wall is completed. This is done using wall brackets, primarily made of metal, to which the respective wall panel is attached. In addition to the wall bracket and the wall panel, further components are required for sound decoupling and thermal insulation between the wall panel and the wall bracket.
[0005] Due to the shallow installation depth and the small size of the screws used, assembly is tedious and time-consuming. Small and unwieldy components can easily be lost on site, resulting in incomplete sound decoupling. Furthermore, often only a specific type of screw can be used, as the corresponding threads are already integrated into the mounting bracket. When installing or repositioning the wall panel, the soundproofing components must also be repositioned.
[0006] Therefore, the present invention aims to further improve the assembly of wall panels.
[0007] The aforementioned problem is solved according to the invention by a mounting bracket for attaching at least one wall panel to a wall with a bracket, preferably made of metal, wherein the bracket has a central section for attaching the wall panel and two mounting flanges adjoining it laterally, and wherein the central section has bores for receiving fastening means, characterized in that a mounting plate is provided which at least partially, preferably completely, covers the central section and is made of an insulating material, that the mounting plate has receptacles, that the receptacles are provided with dowels on the side facing the central section, and that the dowels are arranged in the bores of the central section.
[0008] The bracket has, in addition to the central section, two mounting flanges with multiple openings, which can be connected either to the wall or to the frame of the partition wall. Preferably, the mounting bracket is attached to the frame of the partition wall using the mounting flanges, as this frame has a sufficient number of mounting holes or threaded holes for fastening. In this case, the mounting flanges protrude from the plane of the central section and are L-shaped, preferably being formed integrally with the central section.
[0009] The insulating mounting plate is arranged on the bracket and lies between the wall panels to be attached and the bracket itself. The mounting plate prevents mechanical and thermal coupling between the wall panel and the bracket, thus ensuring adequate sound insulation and thermal protection. Preferably, the mounting plate has the same dimensions as the central section and covers it substantially completely on one side. A mounting bracket with more than one mounting plate is also possible, for example, if the central section is particularly long and only needs sections of it for attaching wall panels.
[0010] The dowels are designed to be aligned with the recesses, so that a screw can be screwed through the recess into the respective dowel.
[0011] The holes are preferably arranged in a grid pattern adapted to the wall panels to be attached, and the receptacles are arranged in a grid corresponding to the grid of the holes. The holes thus fit the at least one wall panel with its specified hole size, and the receptacles in the mounting plate, in turn, fit the holes. The central section and the mounting plates can therefore be connected in a form-fit and friction-fit manner by the dowels engaging in the holes.
[0012] The screws expand the anchors, creating an additional force-fit and / or positive fit to the bracket. The design of the receptacles and the anchors themselves ensures that the necessary expansion of the anchor only occurs towards the end of the screw-in depth. This makes screwing easier.
[0013] When installing, removing, and repositioning the wall panels, only the two components mentioned above and fasteners such as screws are required. A continuous plastic plate with integrated receptacles and anchors for standard wood or plastic screws is preferred. This allows the use of standard screws, even in different sizes and shapes, as long as they can be screwed into the anchors.
[0014] The plate can be factory-mounted onto the bracket, so that the two components form a single unit. Screwing the plate into the dowels eliminates the need for threaded holes in the bracket. The bracket can therefore be manufactured as a stamped and bent part without any further processing.
[0015] To improve the mounting of the plate to the central section of the bracket, at least one fastening element for a mechanical connection to the central section can be provided on at least one edge of the mounting plate. This at least one fastening element is preferably designed as a clip, and fastening elements can be provided on both longitudinal edges of the mounting plate. The fastening elements or clips are placed around the edge of the central section and secure the mounting plate relative to the central section.
[0016] The dowels can be designed in various ways. Firstly, the dowels can have a closed shape. In this case, when the screws are screwed in, the dowels expand only slightly, but the screws fit very tightly in the dowels.
[0017] Furthermore, the dowels can have a slotted end. When the screws are tightened, the dowels expand at the end, clamping themselves against the hole in the middle section, and then expand further. This creates a behind-engagement of the dowels behind the holes in the middle section.
[0018] Finally, the dowels can have a slotted shape on the mounting side. When the screws are tightened, the dowels expand in the area of the holes in the middle section, thus achieving a good positive fit.
[0019] The invention will now be explained using exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawing. The drawing shows... Fig. 1 A first embodiment of a mounting bracket in an exploded view, Fig. 2 the assembled mounting bracket after Fig. 1, Fig. 3 and Fig. 4. The mounting bracket according to the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 with mounted wall panels, Fig. 5 a second embodiment of a mounting bracket, Fig. 6 a detailed view of the in Fig. 6 mounting bracket shown, Fig. 7 a third embodiment of a mounting bracket, Fig. 8 a detailed view of the in Fig. 7 shown mounting bracket and Fig. 9 a mounting bracket known from the state of the art.
[0020] In the following description of the various embodiments according to the invention, components and elements with the same function and mode of operation are provided with the same reference numerals, even if the components and elements may differ in their dimensions or shape in the various embodiments.
[0021] Before discussing the invention based on the Fig. Sections 1 to 8 are addressed, and first a mounting bracket 2 known from the prior art is used based on the Fig. 9 described.
[0022] The mounting bracket 102 for attaching two wall plates 104, which have an inlet 104a and an outlet 104b, to a wall, has according to Fig. Figure 9 shows a metal bracket 106, which has a central section 108 for attaching the wall plate 104 and two mounting flanges 110 extending laterally from it. The central section 108 has a plurality of bores 112 for receiving fasteners in the form of screws 114 with washers 114a. The bores 112 are provided with internal threads, so that only suitable screws 114 can be used for attaching the wall plates.
[0023] Separate insulating elements 116 are provided between the two wall panels 104 shown and the central section 108. These elements are positioned during the assembly of the wall panels and then fixed with the screws 114 between the respective wall panel 104 and the central section 108.
[0024] The bracket 106 also has two laterally arranged mounting flanges 110 that project from the plane of the central section. This allows the mounting bracket 102 to be attached to a frame of a partition wall.
[0025] In the Fig. Figures 1 to 4 show a first embodiment of a mounting bracket 2 according to the invention for attaching two wall plates 4, which have an inlet 4a and an outlet 4b, to a wall with a metal bracket 6, wherein the bracket 6 has a central section 8 for attaching the wall plates 4 and two laterally adjoining mounting flanges 10, and wherein the central section 8 has bores 12 for receiving fastening means in the form of screws 14.
[0026] In contrast to the previously explained state of the art according to Fig. 9 the bores 12 are not provided with an internal thread, so that the bracket 6 can be easily manufactured as a stamped and bent part.
[0027] According to the invention, a mounting plate 20, made of an insulating plastic and covering the central section 8, is provided. The mounting plate 20 has receptacles 22 in which the screws 14 are partially received. The receptacles 22 are provided on the side facing the central section 8 with dowels 24 into which the screws 14 are screwed.
[0028] The dowels 24 are partially positioned in the bores 12 of the central section 8 when assembled and also protrude beyond them. The dowels 24, with a positive fit between the bores 12 and the dowels 24, enable the mounting plate 20 to be securely fastened to the central section 8.
[0029] As the figures show, the bores 12 and the receptacles 22 are arranged in a grid adapted to the wall panels 4 to be attached. Therefore, each wall panel 4 can be connected to the mounting bracket 2 at different positions without having to position a separate insulation element in each case.
[0030] The Fig. Figures 1 to 4 further show that fastening elements in the form of clips 26 are provided on both edges of the mounting plate 20 for a mechanical connection to the central section 8. The clips 26 engage behind the mounting plate 20 and, in addition to the dowels 24 in the bores 12, secure the mounting plate 20 to the central section 8. In the detail view of the Fig. 5, in the upper left area, the form-fitting rear locking of clip 26 can be clearly seen, shown with a wider black line.
[0031] In the described embodiment of the mounting bracket 2, the dowels 24 have a closed shape. Therefore, the dowels 24 expand only slightly when the screws 14 are screwed in, resulting in only a minimal change in their shape. The advantage is that the screws 14 have a firm fit in the dowels 24. This situation is shown in the detailed enlargement in Fig. 4 shown.
[0032] The Fig. 5 and Fig. Figure 6 shows a second embodiment of a mounting bracket 2 according to the invention, with the same components as described above. The difference from the first embodiment is that the dowels 24 have a slotted shape on their end faces. This can be seen in the detailed view in Figure 6. Fig. 5. When the screws 14 are screwed into the slotted dowel 24, the dowel widens at its end face, which is also reflected in the Fig. The section shown in section 6 can be seen.
[0033] The Fig. 7 and Fig. Figure 8 shows a third embodiment of a mounting bracket 2 according to the invention, with the same components as described above. The difference from the second embodiment is that the dowels 24 have a slotted shape on the mounting side. This can be seen in the detailed view in Fig. 7. When the screws 14 are screwed into the slotted dowel 24, the dowel widens on the mounting side, which is also reflected in the Fig. The section shown in section 8 can be seen.
