Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a vehicle seat comprising a seat frame with a backrest structure of a backrest, a headrest with a headrest structure which is directly or indirectly connected to the backrest structure of the backrest.
[0002] The document DE 102 09 189 A1 discloses a vehicle seat with a seat surface and a backrest that can be tilted about a transverse pivot axis. The backrest is designed to pivot from an upright sitting position to an inclined resting position. To achieve comfortable adjustment of the headrest in all sitting or resting positions, the backrest has an automatically driven height adjustment device and an automatically driven inclination adjustment device, each arranged within the backrest. For convenient operation, the height adjustment device and / or the inclination adjustment device have a drive motor, preferably an electric or pneumatic drive motor. This allows for easy access to a preselected position and / or a comfortable seating position for the user by activating the tilt and / or height adjustment mechanism, for example, at the push of a button. The headrest, located at the upper end of the backrest, features a padded support and a head cushion. The head cushion is shaped to provide optimal support for the back of the head and neck of the user. The headrest thus ensures even support of the head. The padded support holds the head cushion via a joint located in the upper area of the head cushion, allowing the position of the head cushion relative to the padded support to be adjusted.
[0003] US 2015 / 0321588 A1 discloses a pneumatically adjustable seat. It comprises a seat frame with a backrest frame section and a headrest coupled to the backrest frame section. The headrest is equipped with an elastic cushion. The described solution for adjusting a headrest uses inflatable elements for height adjustment and pivoting of the headrest. The structure of the components for height adjustment and pivoting is complex, and a large number of components are required.
[0004] The invention is based on the following preliminary considerations based on the prior art.
[0005] The development of new seating structures, i.e., vehicle seats, aims to provide customers with increased seating comfort, particularly for autonomous driving. The vehicle seats are used in various rows of seats, and in particular in a second row as a so-called "captain's chair." The vehicle seat is designed to enable various seating positions, which will become increasingly important, especially in autonomous driving. For example, the vehicle seat should be capable of a relaxation position (backrest between a vertical and horizontal position) and a reclining position (backrest in the horizontal position), with the backrest being moved to a specific position in each case.
[0006] By adjusting the new seating positions, the contact surfaces or contact surfaces between the components of the vehicle seat change, in particular between a contact surface at the back of the head of a person sitting / lying on the seat and a head-side front headrest contact surface of a headrest cushion.
[0007] In order to offer the customer optimal comfort for these new seating positions, i.e. an optimal position of the head on a support surface for the back of the head, the task is to find a headrest that ensures comfortable and safe head support in every possible seating position, whereby the headrest should be compact and can be operated by one user and as comfortably as possible.
[0008] It has been found that, in particular, a tilt adjustment, i.e. a tilt adjustment device, is needed to be able to adjust the inclination of the headrest relative to the backrest as a function of the respective seating positions, in particular to avoid overextension and compression of the cervical vertebrae in each of the various seating positions selected by the user by adjusting the backrest of the vehicle seat.
[0009] The invention is based on the object of creating a vehicle seat with an adjustable backrest, which has a headrest that ensures comfortable and safe head support in every possible sitting position, wherein the headrest is to be compact and can be operated by a user as comfortably as possible.
[0010] The starting point of the invention is a vehicle seat comprising a backrest with a backrest structure and a headrest with a headrest structure which is directly or indirectly connected to the backrest structure of the backrest.
[0011] According to the invention, it is provided that at least one pneumatically operated adjusting element of a tilt adjustment device is arranged in a working space formed within the headrest structure.
[0012] Preferably, the adjustment element is a reversibly pressurized bladder. Using such a bladder, the inclination adjustment can be implemented particularly easily and with minimal installation space.
[0013] Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the headrest structure has a displaceable headrest front part and a fixed headrest rear part, between which a working space is formed.
[0014] In another preferred embodiment, it is provided that the headrest structure has the displaceable headrest front part and the fixed headrest rear part, wherein a support element is fixedly arranged on the fixed headrest rear part between the displaceable headrest front part and the fixed headrest rear part, so that another working space is formed between the displaceable headrest front part and the support element.
[0015] In both cases, on the one hand, a secure attachment of the headrest to the backrest can be achieved by means of the fixed rear part of the headrest and, on the other hand, a simple adjustment of the inclination of the headrest can be achieved by means of the front part of the headrest which can be displaced relative to the fixed rear part of the headrest.
[0016] Preferably, the adjustment element is designed to reversibly pivot the headrest front part about a pivot axis from a second rear pivot end position to a first front pivot end position in order to adjust the inclination of the headrest front part relative to the headrest rear part. Preferably, the pivoting can be performed continuously between the two pivot end positions.
[0017] It is further preferably provided that the lifting bladder expands in the working space formed between the front and rear parts of the headrest and always rests directly against a rear side of the headrest front part and a front side of the headrest rear part, or against a front side of the support element integrated into the headrest rear part. In this way, the lifting bladder can pivot the front part of the headrest relative to the rear part of the headrest in a simple and direct manner as a result of reversible compressed air application.
[0018] It is provided that the at least one pneumatically operated lifting bladder has at least one valve via which the lifting bladder can be filled with compressed air and emptied again, as will be explained in more detail below, so that the displaceable headrest front part can be reversibly pivoted about the pivot axis from a second rear pivot end position into a first front pivot end position and into each of the positions in between in order to effect the inclination adjustment of the displaceable headrest front part relative to the fixed headrest rear part or its integrated support element.
[0019] Furthermore, it is preferably provided that between the displaceable headrest front part and the positionally fixed headrest rear part or between the displaceable headrest front part and the support element at least one pre-tensioned return element, in particular a spring element, is arranged, which is tensioned during a pivoting movement of the displaceable headrest front part, starting from the second rear pivot end position of the displaceable headrest front part, in which the at least one lifting bladder is completely emptied of compressed air, in the direction of the first front pivot end position of the displaceable headrest front part, in which the at least one lifting bladder is partially or completely filled with compressed air.
[0020] The displaceable headrest rear part is preferably connected directly to the backrest structure of the backrest by means of a first connecting and fastening assembly.
[0021] Alternatively, it is provided that the headrest rear part, which is fixed within the headrest structure, is indirectly connected to the backrest structure of the backrest by means of a first and a second connecting and fastening assembly. The fixed headrest rear part of the headrest structure is connected to a structure of a height adjustment device of the headrest structure via the first connecting and fastening assembly, and the structure of the height adjustment device is connected to the backrest structure of the backrest via the second connecting and fastening assembly. Thus, in this latter alternative, the headrest is advantageously arranged as a whole in a height-adjustable manner on the vehicle seat, in particular the backrest.
[0022] The respective working space between the displaceable headrest front part and the fixed headrest rear part or between the headrest front part and the support element on the fixed headrest rear part is preferably V-shaped, since the displaceable headrest front part and the fixed headrest rear part or the displaceable headrest front part and the support element each form one leg of a “V”.
[0023] It is preferably provided that the displaceable headrest front part and the fixed headrest rear part meet in a connecting region in which a pivoting element is arranged, which is designed in particular as a hinge, which enables a reversible pivoting movement of the displaceable headrest front part relative to the fixed headrest rear part.
[0024] The pivot axis is advantageously arranged within the headrest structure in the interior of the headrest near an upper side of the headrest, so that the displaceable headrest front part opens and closes in a mouth-like manner with respect to the fixed headrest rear part during the reversible pivoting movement of the displaceable headrest front part exclusively on its longitudinal sides and its underside, wherein the pivoting movement takes place essentially over the entire vertical longitudinal extent of the headrest due to the arrangement of the pivot axis near the upper side of the headrest.
[0025] Finally, it is preferably provided that the vehicle seat enables operation and visualization of comfort functions, wherein at least the operation and visualization of the comfort function for adjusting the inclination of the headrest by means of the inclination adjustment device is carried out by an operating display which, in one arrangement variant, is arranged on an upper side of a use position of the armrest of the vehicle seat which is in an armrest support and / or in another arrangement variant is arranged in an instrument panel of a vehicle.
[0026] The preliminary considerations and the inventive features of the invention are explained in more detail with reference to the following figures. They show: Fig. 1A shows a section through a backrest structure of a backrest and a headrest structure of a tilt-adjustable headrest attached to the backrest structure of a vehicle seat, wherein the headrest forms an interfering contour on a person sitting on the vehicle seat; Fig. 1B shows a section through the backrest structure of the backrest and the headrest structure of the tilt-adjustable headrest attached to the backrest structure of the vehicle seat, wherein the interfering contour is eliminated by tilt adjustment of the headrest; Fig. 2 an enlarged sectional view of the backrest structure and the headrest structure according to the Fig. 1A, Fig. 1B, wherein a tilt-adjustable headrest front part is shown superimposed over a fixed headrest rear part in a front and a second rear pivot end position; Fig. 3 a display for convenient operation of the tilt-adjustable headrest.
[0027] The Fig. 1A, Fig. 1B and Fig. 2 show a vehicle seat 10, which is only partially shown and which has a seat part (not shown), a backrest pivotably arranged thereon with a backrest structure 16 and a headrest 14 arranged on the backrest with a headrest structure.
[0028] The Fig. 1A and Fig. 1B show in a synopsis based on an example that without a correspondingly comfortable inclination adjustment, an interfering contour S may be present between the occipital contact surface of the back of the head and / or a neck surface of a person P and the front headrest contact surface of a headrest cushion 26 when the backrest of the vehicle seat 10 is adjusted, for example, from a relaxation position (not shown) with a backrest pivoted backwards by a predeterminable adjustment angle without adjusting the inclination of the headrest 14 relative to the backrest structure 16 into a substantially upright position, as for example in Fig. 1A is shown.
[0029] In Fig. 1A, the backrest is in a substantially upright position. In a preferred embodiment, the headrest 14 is rigidly attached to a structure 20 of a height adjustment device 22 by means of a first connecting and fastening assembly 18. The structure 20 of the height adjustment device 22 is, in turn, rigidly connected to the backrest structure 16 via a further second connecting and fastening assembly 24. In the latter embodiment, the headrest 14 is thus indirectly connected to the backrest structure 16.
[0030] In the Fig. In the illustration selected in Figure 1A, the headrest 14 is already in its uppermost position, designed for a 95% percentile person. This means that the headrest 14, or rather the height adjustment device 22, has reached its upper end position and the occipital support surface of the person P is resting snugly against an upper area of the headrest cushion.
[0031] While the headrest 14 is in Fig. 1A is in the uppermost position, disadvantageously forms a front lower edge of the headrest cushion 26 of the headrest 14, particularly when the headrest 14 is in its Fig. 1A, the aforementioned interference contour S may occur, since the headrest 14, as already explained in principle, has not yet been adjusted to an optimal position free of interference contours after a change in the seating position.
[0032] In Fig. 1B, the headrest 14 is adjusted by a value in Fig. 2 is shown pivoted into a second rear pivot end position II. It is clear that the interfering contour S formed by the headrest 14 is no longer present due to the adjustment of the headrest 14. The occipital support surface of the back of the head of the person P lies optimally against the front headrest support surface of the headrest cushion 26, and the neck surface of the person P lies in front of the front headrest support surface of the headrest cushion 26 without contact.
[0033] By comparing the Fig. 1A and Fig. 1B it becomes clear that during the inclination adjustment of the headrest 14 from the first front pivoting end position I to the second rear pivoting end position II, only an intermediate space (working space) between a headrest front part 30 and, in the illustrated embodiment, between a support element 31 on a headrest rear part 32 and the position of the headrest cushion 26 and the headrest front part 30, on which the headrest cushion 26 rests at the front, has changed.
[0034] This comparison makes it clear that an adjusting element 34 is arranged between the headrest front part 30 and the support element 31 of the headrest rear part 32, which is also Fig. 2, so that the further description of the invention in summary the Fig. 1A and Fig. 1B and Fig. 2 is carried out.
[0035] In Fig. 2 are the components of the Fig. 1A and Fig. 1B are provided with the same reference numerals, so that a repeated description of the components is not necessary.
[0036] The pivot axis 28 is visible; its position within the headrest structure will be discussed in more detail below. Furthermore, the headrest front part 30 is shown only in its second rear pivot end position II. The headrest cushion 26, which rests on the front side of the headrest front part 30, is also shown in its second rear pivot end position II.
[0037] In addition, however, the headrest cushion 26 resting on the headrest front part 30 is also shown in its first front pivoting end position I, but for reasons of clarity, the headrest front part 30 is not shown displaced into this first front pivoting end position I.
[0038] An essential feature of the invention is that the headrest front part 30 and with it the headrest cushion 26 can be pivoted by the adjusting element 34 relative to the spatially fixed headrest rear part 32 about the pivot axis 28 (compare arrow P1 reversibly from the first front pivot end position I into the second rear pivot end position II), in particular continuously, so that a lower edge of the headrest cushion 26 in the lower region of the headrest cushion 26 is displaced essentially reversibly according to arrow P2.
[0039] The description makes it clear that the adjusting element 34 is to be arranged in a small installation space (working space) between the headrest front part 30 and the support element 31 of the headrest rear part 32 or, in another embodiment (not shown), directly between the headrest front part 30 and the headrest rear part 32 (without the support element 31) or is arranged according to the invention.
[0040] Most vehicle seats already feature pneumatic adjustment systems, such as various lumbar adjustment systems and / or massage systems. This means that a compressed air system is usually already present in the vehicle seat, particularly in the seat part and / or the backrest. The seat part and / or the backrest contains either a unit that exclusively generates compressed air or a compressed air reservoir that is supplied with compressed air by an external compressed air unit (located outside the vehicle seat). Alternatively, the seat part and / or the backrest contains a compressed air unit and a compressed air reservoir.
[0041] Due to the presence of compressed air and the small installation space (working space) available, the adjustment element is designed as at least one pneumatic lifting bladder that is space-saving when empty and can be filled with compressed air and emptied again, i.e. can be or is returned to ambient pressure.
[0042] Advantageously, a compressed air system in one of the above-described embodiments can thus be used or additionally designed to supply the at least one pneumatic lifting bladder - if already present.
[0043] In one embodiment, the at least one pneumatic lifting bladder is provided with a single valve. In a preferred embodiment, the valve can be "integrated" into the lifting bladder itself.
[0044] In another embodiment, two valves are provided, which in a preferred embodiment are arranged “integrated” into the lifting bladder itself.
[0045] It is understood that the valve(s) is / are appropriately hosed so that at least one lifting bladder is connected to the compressed air system by means of the respective hoses when assembled.
[0046] The valve(s) can be activated. A "hold" state is activated when neither emptying nor filling is taking place, i.e., no compressed air is flowing. The valve(s) is / are closed.
[0047] The valve(s) is / are designed to be switchable.
[0048] In the first embodiment, three switching states are preferably achieved: emptying, filling and holding the lifting bladder, as follows: Open the valve circuitry and simultaneously activate compressed air generation through the compressed air unit, or activate the compressed air reservoir and supply compressed air to the lifting bladder = filling the lifting bladder. (Increasing the angle of inclination between the front part 30 and the rear part 32 of the headrest.)
[0049] Open the valve circuitry and simultaneously stop compressed air generation by the compressed air unit or the compressed air reservoir = venting or emptying the lifting bladder. (Reducing the angle of inclination between the front part 30 and the rear part 32 of the headrest.)
[0050] Keep the valve closed by design = the fill level is maintained. (Maintains the angle of inclination between the front part 30 and the rear part 32 of the headrest.)
[0051] In the second embodiment, three switching states are preferably effected: emptying, filling and holding the lifting bladder, as follows: Open the first valve and simultaneously activate compressed air generation via the compressed air unit or activate the compressed air reservoir = fill the lifting bladder with compressed air via the first valve. (Increasing the angle of inclination between the front part 30 and the rear part 32 of the headrest.)
[0052] Open the second valve circuitry and stop generating compressed air through the compressed air unit or the compressed air reservoir = vent or empty the lifting bladder via the second valve. (Reduces the angle of inclination between the front part 30 and the rear part 32 of the headrest.)
[0053] Keep both valves closed by design = fill level is maintained. (Maintain the angle of inclination between the front section 30 and the rear section 32 of the headrest.)
[0054] It is understood that the valve(s) will be closed again after the described circuit-related opening.
[0055] The return adjustment of the headrest front part 30, that is to say the emptying of the at least one lifting bladder which is arranged between the displaceable headrest front part 30 and the fixed headrest rear part 32 or between the displaceable headrest front part 30 and the support element 31, is preferably ensured by a return element, in particular a spring element, which is under slight pretension in its initial position.
[0056] During a pivoting movement of the displaceable headrest front part 30, starting from the second rear pivot end position II of the displaceable headrest front part 30, in which the at least one lifting bladder is completely deflated with compressed air, the spring element is tensioned in the direction of the first front pivot end position I of the displaceable headrest front part 30, in which the at least one lifting bladder is partially or completely filled with compressed air, and exerts a tensile force (opposite to the tensioning direction) on the headrest front part 30 if the valve for venting or emptying the lifting bladder is kept open by the circuit, wherein the headrest front part 30 then moves between the first front pivot end position I into the second rear pivot end position II until the lifting bladder is completely deflated.
[0057] The return element, in particular the spring element, is also arranged between the displaceable headrest front part 30 and the fixed headrest rear part 32 or between the displaceable headrest front part 30 and the support element 31.
[0058] In other words, the tensile force of the spring element generated when filling the at least one lifting bladder causes the at least one lifting bladder to be compressed in the direction of its empty state when the valve or one of the valves is opened, thereby reducing the angle of inclination between the headrest front part 30 and the headrest rear part 32.
[0059] If, for example, a compressed air supply for a lumbar adjustment system and / or for a massage system is already formed and arranged within the backrest structure 16, a compressed air coupling point to the headrest 14 is provided in the backrest if the headrest according to the invention is provided with pneumatic inclination adjustment.
[0060] Preferably in the headrest 14, in the installation space available for this purpose outside the working space between the headrest front part 30 and the headrest rear part 32 or between the headrest front part 30 and the support element 31 of the headrest rear part 32 in which the at least one pneumatic lifting bladder is accommodated, the necessary components, such as the at least one switchable valve of the lifting bladder, the associated tubing, at least one felt carrier and at least one holding and / or fastening element for holding and / or fastening to the structure of the headrest 14 for the tubing, are accommodated.
[0061] The so-called hose routing, i.e. the local arrangement and fastening of the hoses within the headrest and the backrest from the headrest to the coupling point in the backrest structure of the backrest, is carried out with the defined fastening points and advantageously with a hose-side compensation loop.
[0062] This advantageously ensures that the tilt adjustment function can be used over the entire predefined adjustment range of the headrest, whereby the components are also advantageously not located in the customer's field of vision but are integrated into the backrest structure and the headrest structure.
[0063] A so-called bubble design, i.e. the arrangement of the pneumatic lifting bubble, is selected such that a reversible lifting bubble stroke is generated which is adapted to a desired amount of a maximum adjustment angle of the inclination angle, whereby the desired inclination angle can be generated between a rear side of the headrest front part 30 and a front side of the headrest rear part 32 or the front side of the support element 31 within the maximum possible adjustment angle.
[0064] As already described, the inclination adjustment can be carried out by ventilating and de-aerating the lifting bladder or bladders in several stages or continuously.
[0065] Another special aspect is that the enlarged Fig. 2, the pivot axis 28 of the headrest front part 30, which can be pivoted relative to the headrest rear part 32, is located inside the headrest structure in the upper region of the headrest structure.
[0066] In particular, it is provided that the pivot axis 28 lies on the meeting vertical highest points of the structures of the headrest front part 30 and the headrest rear part 32 of the headrest structure.
[0067] The arrow P1 illustrates the reversible pivoting of the headrest front part 30 about the horizontal pivot axis 28 lying transversely to the direction of travel.
[0068] The arrow P1 illustrates the displacement of the headrest front part 30 relative to the headrest rear part 32 about the horizontal pivot axis 28 lying transversely to the direction of travel into the first front pivot end position I or the second rear pivot end position II during a reversible pivoting of the headrest front part 30.
[0069] With an upright backrest, the headrest front part 30 is displaced as shown by arrow P2 essentially in or against the direction of travel of a vehicle seat arranged in its usual installation position in the vehicle.
[0070] In the Fig. 1A, Fig. 1B and the Fig.2 that the headrest front part 30, which advantageously also includes a neck bar 36 in the lower region of the headrest front part 30, reversibly folds open in a V-shape about the pivot axis 28 when the at least one pneumatic lifting bladder is inflated. In other words, the pivot axis 28 lies in a connecting region of two legs of the headrest structure of an upside-down "V" ("Λ"), with one leg of the upside-down "V" being formed by the headrest front part 30 and a second leg by the headrest rear part 32. The pivot axis 28 is arranged in the connecting region where the legs meet, with pivoting in the region of the pivot axis 28 being made possible in particular by the arrangement and design of a hinge-like connection between the headrest front part 30 and the headrest rear part 32.
[0071] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the comfort adjustments of the tilt-adjustable headrest 14 are carried out via an operating display.
[0072] One difference of the inventive solution is that the components of the inclination adjustment disclosed in the document US 2015 / 0321588 A1, in particular by means of the drive assembly for inclination adjustment described therein, are not arranged in the headrest structure, but below the headrest structure in the frame structure. The drive assembly for inclination adjustment is mounted in particular on a frame of the backrest structure. Two so-called pivoting bubbles engage a first pivoting engagement surface of a mounting bracket formed by flanges, while a second pivoting engagement surface is formed by a seat back frame section of the frame part of the backrest. In other words, the pivoting bubbles are formed between two components of the backrest structure, in particular the mounting bracket and the seat back frame section of the backrest structure, and not in the headrest structure itself.Furthermore, a pivoting bracket is described for adjusting the inclination of the headrest. This pivoting bracket has a centrally arranged tubular section designed to receive a pivot rod. The pivot axis defines an anchor point located between the drive assembly and the seat frame. Thus, in contrast to the solution according to the invention, the pivot axis of the headrest lies in the area of the backrest structure and not in the headrest structure.
