Abstract

The invention relates to an arrangement (10) for determining the rack position of a steer-by-wire steering gear (1) of a motor vehicle, comprising a rack (12) with an inclined plane (14) extending longitudinally along the rack (12), and a displacement sensor (16) arranged on the inclined plane (14) of the rack (12), which is configured to determine a distance (A) of a surface (14a) of the inclined plane (14) to a reference point (16a) of the displacement sensor (16), wherein the rack position can be determined based on displacement sensor data (SD) of the determined distance (A) of the inclined plane (14) to the reference point (16a) of the displacement sensor (16). The invention further relates to a steer-by-wire steering gear (1) of a motor vehicle.
