[0001] The invention relates to a motor vehicle with a partition device for separating a front section of the passenger compartment from a rear section of the passenger compartment. The partition device comprises a plurality of interconnected modules. When the partition device is folded, the modules can be stacked on top of each other. The partition device has a plurality of retaining elements which, in a functional position of the partition device, are held against the inner side of at least one trim panel of the motor vehicle, wherein the at least one trim panel defines the passenger compartment. In the functional position of the partition device, the partition device is at least partially unfolded. The invention further relates to the partition device for the motor vehicle.
