Abstract
Description
Cross-reference to related registration This application claims priority over Chinese patent application No. 202520284743 .X, which was filed on February 21, 2025, and the entire disclosure of which is hereby incorporated by reference. Territory of Revelation The application concerns a housing for a charging socket, the charging socket and an electric vehicle. Description of the state of the art An electric vehicle uses an AC charging port and a DC charging port within a charging socket. The charging socket housing defines the AC and DC charging ports. Rain and snow can allow water to enter these ports. The existing drain pipes for the AC and DC charging ports are independently designed to drain water and ensure the safe operation of both.Since the drain pipe is located on the housing for the charging socket, the separately arranged drain pipe not only makes the AC charging port and DC charging port structures more complicated and difficult to assemble, but also means that they occupy a large part of the vehicle structure. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a charging port housing that is simpler and more compact in design and less difficult to install. Summary Embodiments of the present application are intended to solve at least one aspect of the problems mentioned above. According to one aspect of the present application, a housing for a charging socket is provided, comprising a main body and a drain device attached to the bottom of the main body, the main body comprising: a first interface for receiving a first connection for DC charging; a first channel extending from the first interface to the bottom of the main body; a second interface for receiving a second connection for AC charging; and a second channel extending from the second interface to the bottom of the main body; wherein the drain device comprises a single drain tube in fluid communication via the first channel with the first interface and via the second channel with the second interface.
