Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to a calculation device (calculating device), a machine tool, a control device for a machine tool (control device for machine tools) and a calculation program (calculating program). STATE OF THE ART

[0002] WO 2016 / 133162 A1 discloses a tool path calculation program. Such a path calculation program makes it possible to calculate a path for a tool for removing burrs (deburring) from a workpiece (an object to be machined). SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] WO 2016 / 133162 A1 discloses two methods for calculating a machining depth related to burr removal or chamfering of the workpiece. According to the method disclosed as the "first method," a chamfer width becomes smaller. Therefore, the "first method" is not accurate. The method disclosed as the "second method" uses a Newtonian method to determine a solution. Therefore, the "second method" is also not accurate.

[0004] The problem with these methods is that they are unable to calculate an accurate tool position that allows for a stable cutting (machining) process. Cutting with a tool that has been moved to a calculated position risks either undercutting (machining) or overcutting the workpiece.

[0005] The present invention aims to solve the above-mentioned problem.

[0006] A first aspect of the present invention is characterized by a calculation device configured to calculate a first position of a tool configured to cut a burr line with a predetermined machining width, the burr line being formed by a cylindrical peripheral surface of a workpiece and a peripheral wall surface defining a through hole penetrating the workpiece, the workpiece comprising an outer peripheral surface and an inner peripheral surface, at least one of the outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface being formed as a cylindrical peripheral surface, and the through hole being in the form of a circular cylinder or a column body penetrating the workpiece from the outer peripheral surface to the inner peripheral surface, the column body including a plurality of circular cylinders that are parallel to each other and are respectively arranged in corners of the column body, wherein the calculation device comprises: an acquisition unit configured to acquire machining target data and a third radius of the tool, the machining target data including a second position of the workpiece, a third position of the through hole, a first radius of the cylindrical peripheral surface of the workpiece, a second radius of the circular cylinder, a first direction in which a first central axis (central axial line) of the workpiece extends, and an eccentric distance of a second central axis of the circular cylinder from the first central axis, the second central axis extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction; and a first calculation unit configured to calculate the first position of the tool intersecting the burr line, including a machining target point located on the burr line, based on a second tangent to a first ellipse at the machining target point, a third tangent to a second ellipse at the machining target point, the predetermined machining width, and the third radius of the tool, wherein the first ellipse is formed by the cylindrical peripheral surface and a plane, the plane is perpendicular to a first tangent to the ridge line at the machining target point and contains the machining target point, the plane being determined based on a fourth position of the machining target point and the machining target data, and the second ellipse is formed by the circular cylinder and the plane.

[0007] A second aspect of the present invention is characterized by a machine tool comprising the calculation device according to the first aspect, the tool, and a machining control unit configured to cause the tool to move to the first position and cut the burr line.

[0008] A third aspect of the present invention is characterized by a control device for a machine tool comprising the calculation device according to the first aspect and a machining control unit configured to cause the tool to move to the first position and cut the burr line.

[0009] A fourth aspect of the present invention is characterized by a calculation program configured to cause a processing circuit included in a calculation device to perform a detection step and a calculation step, wherein: the calculation device is configured to calculate a first position of a tool configured to cut a burr line with a predetermined machining width, the burr line being formed by a cylindrical peripheral surface of a workpiece and a peripheral wall surface defining a through hole penetrating the workpiece; the workpiece includes an outer peripheral surface and an inner peripheral surface, wherein at least one of the outer peripheral surface or the inner peripheral surface is formed as the cylindrical peripheral surface; and the through-hole in the form of a circular cylinder or a column body passes through the workpiece from the outer peripheral surface to the inner peripheral surface, wherein the column body includes a plurality of circular cylinders that are parallel to each other and are respectively arranged in corners of the column body, and wherein the detecting step comprises detecting machining target data and a third radius of the tool, the machining target data including a second position of the workpiece, a third position of the through-hole, a first radius of the cylindrical peripheral surface of the workpiece, a second radius of the circular cylinder, a first direction in which a first central axis of the workpiece extends, and an eccentric distance of a second central axis of the circular cylinder from the first central axis, wherein the second central axis extends in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and the calculating step comprises calculating the first position of the tool intersecting the ridge line, including a machining target point located on the ridge line, based on a second tangent to a first ellipse at the machining target point, a third tangent to a second ellipse at the machining target point, the predetermined machining width, and the third radius of the tool. The first ellipse is formed by the cylindrical peripheral surface and a plane, the plane is perpendicular to a first tangent to the ridge line at the machining target point and contains the machining target point, the plane being determined based on a fourth position of the machining target point and the machining target data, and the second ellipse is formed by the circular cylinder and the plane.

[0010] According to the present invention, it is possible to accurately calculate the position of a tool that realizes a stable cutting process for removing burrs. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0011] Fig. 1 is a diagram showing an example of a machine tool 10. The machine tool 10 includes a base body 20 and a control device 30. The control device 30 includes a computing device according to an embodiment described below and controls the base body 20. The control device 30 is, for example, a CNC (Computer Numerical Controller). The base body 20 includes a bed 52, a slide 54, a table 56, a movable member 74, a movable member 76, and a movable member 78. The bed 52 is placed on an XY plane of an XYZ orthogonal coordinate system. The saddle 54, the table 56, the movable member 74, the movable member 76, and the movable member 78 are placed on the bed 52.

[0012] The movable member 74 can be moved by a motor (not shown) in a direction DX parallel to the X-axis. The movable member 76 is placed on the movable member 74. The movable member 76 can be moved by a motor (not shown) in a direction DY parallel to the Y-axis with respect to the movable member 74. The movable member 78 is attached to a side surface of the movable member 76. The movable member 78 can be moved by a motor (not shown) in a direction DZ parallel to the Z-axis with respect to the movable member 76. The direction DZ parallel to the Z-axis is parallel to the direction of gravity. The direction of gravity is the direction in which gravity acts on an object.

[0013] The movable member 78 includes a spindle head. A tool C1 is installed on the spindle head. In the present embodiment, the tool C1 is a ball nose milling cutter having a spherical cutting surface formed at its distal end. The tool C1 may also be another tool, such as a ball nose polishing tool or the like. Furthermore, the tool C1 is not limited to a completely spherical cutting surface, but may have a cutting surface formed by a portion having a spherical shape.

[0014] In the present embodiment, a thick-walled cylinder CP is placed on the table 56 as a workpiece (an object to be machined). The tool CI is driven by a motor (not shown) and rotates thereby.

[0015] Through this rotation, the tool CI, with its spherical cutting surface, cuts (machines) a burr line forming an edge of a through hole HE formed in the thick-walled cylinder CP. By cutting the burr line, the tool CI removes burrs formed on an inner peripheral surface or an outer peripheral surface of the thick-walled cylinder CP.

[0016] In the present embodiment, during cutting, the tool CI is moved in an XYZ space by the movable member 74, the movable member 76, and the movable member 78. In other words, when the tool CI is moved in the DX direction parallel to the X-axis, the DY direction parallel to the Y-axis, and the DZ direction parallel to the Z-axis, the tool CI moves relative to the workpiece in the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis directions.

[0017] Since the tool Cl only needs to move in the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis directions relative to the workpiece, the tool Cl can be moved in the DZ direction, which is parallel to the Z-axis, and the workpiece can be moved in the DX direction, which is parallel to the X-axis, and in the DY direction, which is parallel to the Y-axis. In this case, for example, movable mechanisms are provided in the carriage 54 and the table 56.

[0018] Instead of the movable member 74, the movable member 76, and the movable member 78, a robot arm can grip the tool Cl. Alternatively, the workpiece gripped by the robot arm can move in the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis directions. In both cases, the tool Cl moves relative to the workpiece in the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis directions. In the following description, the tool Cl moves relative to the thick-walled cylinder CP serving as the workpiece.

[0019] Fig. 2A is a diagram illustrating an example of a configuration of the control device 30 for the machine tool 10. The control device 30 includes a computing device 110, a storage device 120, and an input / output device 130. The computing device 110 is constituted by a processing circuit. The processing circuit is, for example, a processor such as a CPU or a GPU, or the like.

[0020] The storage device 120 includes a volatile memory (not shown) and a non-volatile memory (not shown). The volatile memory serves as the processor's working memory. Later-described data DT, acquired by an acquisition unit 210 when a macro program to be described later is read, is stored in the volatile memory. The volatile memory is, for example, a RAM.

[0021] The non-volatile memory is used as memory. A processing program PG and a calculation program (a macro program) to be executed by the processing circuit of the calculation device 110 are stored in the non-volatile memory of the storage device 120. The non-volatile memory is, for example, a ROM or a flash memory.

[0022] The input / output device 130 includes at least one component, such as a control panel, a keyboard, a mouse, a display, and a touch panel. The user inputs user input data from the data DT to the computing device 110 via the input / output device 130. The input data DT is stored in the storage device 120. In addition, setting data of default setting values from the data DT is also stored in the storage device 120. The input / output device 130 is capable of displaying the data DT stored in the storage device 120.

[0023] The calculation device 110 includes the acquisition unit 210, a determination unit 220, a first calculation unit 230, and a processing control unit 250. The acquisition unit 210, the determination unit 220, the first calculation unit 230, and the processing control unit 250 are realized by the calculation device 110 executing the calculation program stored in the storage device 120. At least part of the acquisition unit 210, the determination unit 220, the first calculation unit 230, and the processing control unit 250 can be realized by an integrated circuit such as an ASIC or an FPGA, or an electronic circuit with a discrete component.

[0024] The acquisition unit 210 acquires the data DT input by the user and the data DT stored in the storage device 120. The data DT acquired by the acquisition unit 210 includes tool data, machining target data, and option data, all of which will be described later.

[0025] As mentioned above, the tool CI cuts (machines) the burr line forming the edge of the through hole HE to remove the burrs. The position of the tool CI is calculated according to a machining target point on the burr line of the through hole HE. The calculated position of the tool CI is hereinafter referred to as the first position. The machining target point is positioned on the burr line of the through hole HE at a position closest to the first position of the tool CI. The determination unit 220 determines a plurality of the machining target points on the burr line based on a tolerance amount included in the above-mentioned option data. A description of the tolerance amount will be given later. The first calculation unit 230 calculates, based on the data DT acquired by the acquisition unit 210, the first position of the tool Cl corresponding to each of the machining target points determined by the determination unit 220.

[0026] The machining control unit 250 controls the movable member 74, the movable member 76, and the movable member 78 of the base body 20, or alternatively other movable mechanisms or robot arms, at each of the plurality of machining target points determined by the determination unit 220, thereby causing the tool C1 to move relative to the first position. The machining control unit 250 causes the tool C1 to rotate, thereby causing the ridge line to be cut by the tool C1.

[0027] To start cutting the ridge line at the first (initial) machining target point among the plurality of machining target points determined by the determination unit 220, the tool Cl moves to a first position corresponding to the machining target point calculated by the first calculation unit 230. The ridge line is cut to thereby form a machining surface with a predetermined machining width.

[0028] Thereafter, the tool C1 moves to a next machining target point while cutting the burr line and moves to a first position corresponding to the next machining target point. The burr line is cut, thereby forming a machining surface with a predetermined machining width. After such cutting is repeated, the machining control unit 250 stops the cutting when the tool C1 returns to the first (initial) machining target point and causes the tool C1 to move to a predetermined final position.

[0029] Fig. 2B is a diagram for describing processing performed based on a G code. In the present embodiment, a machining program PG is executed according to a user input through the processing circuit of the computing device 110. When the machining program PG is executed, processing is performed based on the G code included in the machining program PG. Included in the machining program PG is the G code indicating a command for calling a macro program MP.

[0030] Based on the G code, the processing circuit of the calculation device 110 calls the macro program MP stored in the non-volatile memory of the storage device 120. Along with this, the processing circuit of the calculation device 110 writes the data DT into the volatile memory of the storage device 120. The data has a value corresponding to an argument of the G code or is a default value. The data DT includes tool data, machining target data, and option data, all of which will be described later.

[0031] The first calculation unit 230 of the calculation device 110 reads the calculation program, the macroprogram MP, which is a target for a call, from the storage device 120. The acquisition unit 210 of the calculation device 110 acquires the data DT from the storage device 120. Using the data DT, the processing circuit of the calculation device 110 executes the macroprogram MP, wherein the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position of the tool Cl.

[0032] Fig. 3A and Fig. 3B are diagrams for the purpose of describing the thick-walled cylinder CP and the through hole HE formed in the thick-walled cylinder CP. Fig. Figure 3A is an external view of the thick-walled cylinder CP. In this case, lines that are not visible from the outside are Fig. 3A not shown. Fig. Figure 3B is a figure in which such lines that are not visible are shown as dashed lines.

[0033] Hereinafter, the central axis of the thick-walled cylinder CP is referred to as the first central axis A1. The direction in which the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP extends is referred to as the first direction. In the present embodiment, the first direction in which the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP extends is the Y-axis direction. Alternatively, it should be noted that the first direction may be a direction parallel to the XY plane and forming a predetermined angle with respect to the Y-axis on a plane including the first central axis A1. The thick-walled cylinder CP is a hollow cylinder. An inner peripheral surface SN and an outer peripheral surface ST of the thick-walled cylinder CP are each formed as a cylindrical peripheral surface SS.

[0034] In the present embodiment, the through hole HE, which penetrates the thick-walled cylinder CP in the shape of a circular cylinder CS from the outer peripheral surface ST to the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP, is defined by a peripheral wall surface SW. The ridge line RL forming one edge of the through hole HE includes two types of ridge lines RLN and RLT. The ridge line RLN is formed by the peripheral wall surface SW of the through hole HE and the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP. The ridge line RLT is formed by the peripheral wall surface SW of the through hole HE and the outer peripheral surface ST of the thick-walled cylinder CP.

[0035] The central axis of the circular cylinder CS defining the through hole HE is hereinafter referred to as the second central axis A2. The direction in which the second central axis A2 extends is hereinafter referred to as the second direction. In the present embodiment, the second direction in which the second central axis A2 extends is the Z-axis direction. More specifically, the second direction in which the second central axis A2 extends is perpendicular to the first direction in which the first central axis A1 extends. The radius of an imaginary circular cylinder CS defining the shape of the through hole HE is hereinafter referred to as the second radius R2.

[0036] Fig. 4A is a diagram showing a burr BR generated on the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP and a tool CI for removing such a burr BR. In Fig. 4A shows a case where the thick-walled cylinder CP, which is cut by a plane perpendicular to the Y-axis (a plane parallel to the XZ plane), is viewed from the negative direction of the Y-axis. When the tool CI comes into contact with the burr length RL (RLN), the tool CI removes the burr BR by cutting the burr length RL including the machining target point P with a predetermined machining width. It is necessary to appropriately determine a first position C of the tool CI at which it is possible to cut the burr length RL with the predetermined machining width. The first position C of the tool CI is a center position of a sphere that forms the cutting surface of a distal end of the tool CI.

[0037] The radius of the cylindrical peripheral surface SS of the thick-walled cylinder CP is hereinafter referred to as the first radius R1. As shown in Figure 4A, when the burr BR generated on the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP is removed, the radius RN of the inner peripheral surface SN is used as the first radius R1 of the cylindrical peripheral surface SS of the thick-walled cylinder CP. The radius RN of the inner peripheral surface SN is equal to the shortest distance between the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP and the inner peripheral surface SN.

[0038] Fig. 4B is a diagram showing the burr BR generated on the outer peripheral surface ST of the thick-walled cylinder CP and the tool Cl for removing such burr BR. In the same manner as in Fig. 4A will be Fig. 4B shows a case where the thick-walled cylinder CP, which is cut by a plane perpendicular to the Y-axis (a plane parallel to the XZ plane), is viewed from the negative direction of the Y-axis. When the tool Cl comes into contact with the burr length RL (RLT), the tool Cl removes the burr BR by cutting the burr length RL including the machining target point P with a predetermined machining width. It is necessary to appropriately determine the first position C of the tool CI at which it is possible to cut the burr length RL with the predetermined machining width.

[0039] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 4B, in the case where the burr BR generated on the outer peripheral surface ST of the thick-walled cylinder CP is removed, the radius RT of the outer peripheral surface ST is used as the first radius R1 of the cylindrical peripheral surface SS of the thick-walled cylinder CP. The radius RT of the outer peripheral surface ST corresponds to the shortest distance between the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP and the outer peripheral surface ST.

[0040] In the Fig. 4A and Fig. 4B, the tool CI is shown approaching the first position C from an outer side of the thick-walled cylinder CP. However, the tool CI may also approach the first position C from an inner side of the thick-walled cylinder CP.

[0041] Fig. Figure 5A is a diagram showing a positional relationship between the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP and the second central axis A2 of the circular cylinder CS forming the through-hole HE in a case where an eccentric distance f is zero. The eccentric distance indicates the shortest distance of the second central axis A2 from the first central axis A1. Fig. 5A shows a case where the thick-walled cylinder CP having the through-hole HE is viewed from a positive direction of the Z-axis on the outside of the thick-walled cylinder CP.

[0042] A bottom surface of the circular cylinder CS forming the shape of the through-hole HE is circular. Therefore, when the through-hole HE is viewed from directly above the through-hole HE along the Z-axis, the through-hole HE has a circular shape corresponding to the circular cylinder CS. The second central axis A2 is positioned overlapping the first central axis A1. A radius of the through-hole HE, viewed from directly above, coincides with the second radius R2 of the circular cylinder CS.

[0043] Fig. 5B is a diagram showing a positional relationship between the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP and the second central axis A2 of the circular cylinder CS forming the through-hole HE in a case where the eccentric distance f is not zero. In the same manner as in Fig. 5A will be Fig. 5B shows a case where the thick-walled cylinder CP with the through-hole HE is viewed from a positive direction of the Z-axis on the outside of the thick-walled cylinder CP. In the same way as in Fig. 5A, the through-hole HE is circular when viewed from directly above the through-hole HE along the Z-axis. The second central axis A2 is located at a position offset (deviated) from the first central axis A1 by the eccentric distance f in the X-axis direction.

[0044] Fig. 6 is a diagram illustrating the data DT acquired by the acquisition unit 210 of the computing device 110. The data DT acquired by the acquisition unit 210 includes the tool data, the machining target data, and the option data. The tool data includes a tool number CI stored in the storage device 120. A value of the radius of the tool CI is stored in the storage device 120 in association with the tool number CI. When the number of a tool CI is designated by the user via the input / output device 130, the acquisition unit 210 acquires the tool data to thereby acquire, from the storage device 120, the radius of the tool CI registered in advance. In addition, the radius of the tool CI will be referred to as a third radius hereinafter.

[0045] The machining target data includes a position of the thick-walled cylinder CP, a position of the through hole HE, the first radius R1 of the cylindrical peripheral surface SS of the thick-walled cylinder CP, the second radius R2 of the imaginary circular cylinder CS forming the shape of the through hole HE, an arrangement angle of the thick-walled cylinder CP, a penetration angle of the through hole HE, and the aforementioned eccentric distance f. The thick-walled cylinder CP and the through hole HE are respectively positioned at predetermined positions. The position of the thick-walled cylinder CP is hereinafter referred to as the second position. The position of the through hole HE is hereinafter referred to as the third position. The second position of the thick-walled cylinder CP and the third position of the through hole HE are expressed in a machine coordinate system predefined in the machine tool 10 or, alternatively, in a workpiece coordinate system based on the workpiece.

[0046] The arrangement angle CP of the thick-walled cylinder is an angle formed by the first direction in which the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP extends with respect to the Y-axis. In the present embodiment, as previously noted, the first direction coincides with the Y-axis direction. Accordingly, the value of the arrangement angle CP of the thick-walled cylinder detected by the detection unit 210 as a value indicating the first direction is 0 degrees.

[0047] The penetration angle of the through-hole HE is an angle formed by the second direction, in which the second central axis A2 of the circular cylinder CS forming the shape of the through-hole HE extends, with respect to the Z-axis. In the present embodiment, as noted above, the second direction coincides with the Z-axis direction. Accordingly, the value of the penetration angle of the through-hole HE detected by the detection unit 210 as a value indicating the second direction is 0 degrees.

[0048] The option data includes a cutting amount Q and a tolerance amount TA. By cutting the burr line RL with a predetermined machining width W at the first position C corresponding to the machining target point P by the tool C1, the burr BR is removed. By cutting the burr line RL, a machining surface with the predetermined machining width W is formed between the cylindrical peripheral surface SS of the thick-walled cylinder CP and the peripheral wall surface SW of the through hole HE. More specifically, a distance (a first distance to be described later) between both ends of the machining surface in the machining width direction is equal to the predetermined machining width W.

[0049] Fig. 7A is a diagram for describing a relationship between the cutting amount Q and the predetermined machining width W. As can be seen from Fig. As can be seen from Fig. 7A, the predetermined machining width W is expressed by equation (1) using the cutting amount Q. The predetermined machining width W is specified by a user input using the cutting amount Q. The cutting amount Q is a value corresponding to 1 / √2 times the predetermined machining width W. When the cutting amount Q is specified by the user via the input / output device 130, the detection unit 210 detects the predetermined machining width W by detecting the cutting amount Q. W=2⋅Q

[0050] The tolerance amount TA indicates a value related to a machining path RP when the tool CI intersects the ridge line RL while moving along the machining path RP corresponding to the ridge line RL. When the initial position C of the tool CI corresponding to all (an infinite number of) machining target points P on the ridge line RL is calculated, an ideal trajectory (an ideal path) TR of the tool CI is determined. However, in reality, the initial position C of the tool CI corresponding to a finite number of machining target points P is calculated. Therefore, the machining path RP formed by linearly connecting the finite number of machining target points P does not match the ideal trajectory TR.

[0051] The tolerance amount TA is specified by a user as the upper limit of an error in the machining trajectory RP with respect to the ideal trajectory TR. When the tolerance amount TA is specified, a plurality of machining target points P on the ridge line RL are determined based on the tolerance amount TA by the determination unit 220 of the calculation device 110.

[0052] Fig. 7B and Fig. 7C are diagrams for describing the tolerance amount TA. The plurality of machining target points P are determined in such a way that an error RG in the machining path RP with respect to the ideal trajectory TR of the tool Cl is within the tolerance amount TA. In the Fig. In the example shown in Figure 7B, a value TA1 is specified by user input as the tolerance amount TA. In this case, four machining target points P101, P102, P103, and P104 are determined so that the error RG becomes less than or equal to the value TA1.

[0053] [ In the example shown in FIG. 7C, a value TA2 smaller than the value TA1 is specified by a user input as the tolerance amount TA. In this case, eight machining target points P201, P202, P203, P204, P205, P206, P207, and P208 are determined so that the error RG becomes less than or equal to the value TA2. The number of machining target points P in FIG. 7C is greater than the number of machining target points P in FIG. 7B. The machining trajectory RP in FIG. 7C is closer to the ideal trajectory TR than the machining trajectory RP shown in FIG. 7B.

[0054] When the tolerance amount TA is set to a small value, as the upper limit of the error RG becomes smaller, the machining trajectory RP approaches the ideal trajectory TR. On the other hand, when the tolerance amount TA is set to a small value, the computational load imposed on the computing device 110 becomes higher as the number of machining target points P increases. Accordingly, the user inputs the tolerance amount TA to the computing device 110 via the input / output device 130, taking into account how close the machining trajectory RP should be to the ideal trajectory TR and the computational load. If the user has not input the tolerance amount TA, a predetermined default setting value of the tolerance amount TA is used.

[0055] A tangent to the ridge line RL of the through hole HE is referred to below as the first tangent B1. Fig. Figure 8 is a diagram for describing the through hole HE passing through the thick-walled cylinder CP in the form of a circular cylinder CS, and the first tangent B1 to the ridge line RL of the through hole HE. The cylindrical peripheral surface SS of the thick-walled cylinder CP is shown in Fig. 8. When the burr BR generated on the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP is removed, the inner peripheral surface SN corresponds to the cylindrical peripheral surface SS. When the burr BR generated on the outer peripheral surface ST of the thick-walled cylinder CP is removed, the outer peripheral surface ST corresponds to the cylindrical peripheral surface SS. The central axis of the cylindrical peripheral surface SS coincides with the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP. More specifically, the direction in which the central axis of the cylindrical peripheral surface SS extends is the first direction, which is the Y-axis direction.

[0056] The imaginary circular cylinder CS described above, which intersects the cylindrical circumferential surface SS of the thick-walled cylinder CP, is in Fig. 8. The circular cylinder CS is inserted through the through hole HE. The ridge line RL of the through hole HE is shown as an intersection line obtained by intersecting the cylindrical peripheral surface SS of the thick-walled cylinder CP and the circular cylinder CS. As previously noted, the direction in which the second central axis A2 of the circular cylinder CS extends is the second direction, which is the Z-axis direction. The second direction in which the second central axis A2 extends is perpendicular to the first direction in which the first central axis A1 extends.

[0057] The first tangent B1 to the ridge line RL of the through hole HE at the machining target point P on the ridge line RL cut by the tool Cl is in Fig. 8. The tool Cl has a spherical cutting surface. If a line connecting the center of the sphere and the machining target point P is perpendicular to the first tangent B1, excessive cutting will not occur when the ridge line RL is intersected by the tool Cl. In this case, the center position of the sphere forming the cutting surface is defined as the first position C of the tool Cl. More specifically, the first position C of the tool Cl is located on a vertical plane VP perpendicular to the first tangent B1 of the ridge line RL and including the machining target point P.

[0058] Fig. 9 is a diagram for describing the vertical plane VP perpendicular to the first tangent B1 of the ridge line RL of the through hole HE, and a first ellipse E1 and a second ellipse E2 formed on the vertical plane VP. The aforementioned vertical plane VP is determined based on the position of the machining target point P on the ridge line RL and the machining target data acquired by the acquisition unit 210 of the computing device 110. The position of the machining target point P on the ridge line RL is hereinafter referred to as a fourth position. An intersection curve IL is obtained by the intersection of the vertical plane VP with the cylindrical peripheral surface SS and the circular cylinder CS.

[0059] The intersection curve IL includes sections of contour lines of the first ellipse E1 and the second ellipse E2 formed on the vertical plane VP. The first ellipse E1 is formed as the intersection line between the vertical plane VP and the cylindrical circumferential surface SS. The second ellipse E2 is formed as the intersection line between the vertical plane VP and the circular cylinder CS. On the vertical plane VP, the fourth position of the machining target point P lies on the contour line (circumference) of the first ellipse E1 and also on the contour line of the second ellipse E2.

[0060] A solid portion between the outer peripheral surface ST and the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP is hereinafter referred to as the cylindrical shell of the thick-walled cylinder CP. A region on the outer side of the first ellipse E1 corresponds to a region on the outer side of the cylindrical peripheral surface SS. If the cylindrical peripheral surface SS corresponds to the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP, then at the fourth position of the machining target point P on and near the ridge line RL, the cylindrical shell of the thick-walled cylinder CP is included in the region on the outer side of the first ellipse E1. A region on the inner side of the first ellipse E1 corresponds to a region on the inner side of the cylindrical peripheral surface SS.If the cylindrical peripheral surface SS corresponds to the outer peripheral surface ST of the thick-walled cylinder CP, then at the fourth position of the machining target point P on the ridge line RL and in the vicinity thereof, the cylindrical shell of the thick-walled cylinder CP is included in the area on the inner side of the first ellipse E1.

[0061] An area on the inner side of the second ellipse E2 corresponds to an area on the inner side of the circular cylinder CS. At and near the fourth position of the machining target point P on the ridge line RL, the through hole HE is included in the area on the inner side of the second ellipse E2. A segment from the machining target point P on the ridge line RL to a position a predetermined distance along the contour line of the second ellipse E2 is formed by the circumferential wall surface SW defining the through hole HE.

[0062] A tangent to the first ellipse E1 at the machining target point P is hereinafter referred to as the second tangent B2. A tangent to the second ellipse E2 at the machining target point P is hereinafter referred to as the third tangent B3. Fig. 10 is a diagram showing the positional relationship between the second tangent B2 to the first ellipse E1, the third tangent B3 to the second ellipse E2, and the tool Cl for removing the burr BR generated on the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP.

[0063] A direction in which the major axis of the second ellipse E2 extends is defined as the T-axis direction, and a direction perpendicular to the T-axis (the direction in which the minor axis of the second ellipse E2 extends) is defined as the S-axis direction. When the machining target point P is the origin point, the positive direction of the S-axis is a direction from the origin point to the outside of the second ellipse E2. When the machining target point P is the origin point, the positive direction of the T-axis is a direction from the origin point to the outside of the first ellipse E1. The vertical plane VP is a plane formed by the S-axis (a horizontal axis) and the T-axis (a vertical axis), which are orthogonal to each other.

[0064] At the machining target point P on the ridge line RL, the cylindrical shell of the thick-walled cylinder CP with the through hole HE is contained in a region located on the outer side of the first ellipse E1 and also on the outer side of the second ellipse E2. The contour line of the first ellipse E1 extending from the machining target point P corresponds to the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP. The contour line of the second ellipse E2 extending from the machining target point P corresponds to the peripheral wall surface SW forming the through hole HE.

[0065] When the tool Cl intersects the ridge line RL at the first position C corresponding to the machining target point P on the ridge line RL, the machining surface of the predetermined machining width W is formed between the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP and the peripheral wall surface SW of the through hole HE. A first end point G1 and a second end point G2 on the vertical plane VP, which correspond to both ends in the machining width direction of the machining surface, are in Fig. 10. The straight line between the first end point G1 and the second end point G2 is hereinafter referred to as a first distance. The first distance corresponds to the specified machining width W. The first end point G1 is actually located on the contour line of the first ellipse E1. However, since the first end point G1 is close to the machining target point P, it can be assumed that the first end point G1 is located on the second tangent B2 to the first ellipse E1 at the machining target point P.

[0066] The second end point G2 is actually positioned on the contour line of the second ellipse E2. However, since the second end point G2 is positioned near the machining target point P, the second end point G2 can be regarded as being positioned on the third tangent B3 to the second ellipse E2 at the machining target point P. In the present embodiment, for the convenience of calculation, it is assumed that the first end point G1 is located on the second tangent B2 and that the second end point G2 is located on the third tangent B3.

[0067] Furthermore, the first ellipse E1 can be formulated by a two-dimensional coordinate value of a center K1 on the vertical plane VP and by a parametric representation based on an eccentric anomaly using the major axis and the minor axis. For example, by formulating the first ellipse E1, the second tangent B2 to the first ellipse E1 at the machining target point P can be calculated. The second ellipse E2 can be formulated by a two-dimensional coordinate value of a center K2 on the vertical plane VP and by a parametric representation based on an eccentric anomaly using the major axis and the minor axis. For example, by formulating the second ellipse E2, the third tangent B3 to the second ellipse E2 at the machining target point P can be calculated. The third tangent B3 is parallel to the T axis.

[0068] A cross-section of the sphere forming the cutting surface of the tool Cl is shown in Fig. 10 is represented as a circle passing through the first end point G1 and the second end point G2, the two ends in the machining direction corresponding to the width of the above-mentioned machining surface on the vertical plane VP. A length from the first position C of the tool Cl, indicated as the center of the circle, to the first end point G1 and a length from the first position C of the tool Cl to the second end point G2 are both equal to a third radius D of the tool Cl.

[0069] Fig. 11 is a diagram used to describe how the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE is calculated based on the predetermined machining width W. As mentioned above, the first end point G1 and the second end point G2 correspond to both ends in the machining width direction of the machining surface formed by the tool Cl intersecting the ridge line RL at the first position C corresponding to the machining target point P.

[0070] In the present embodiment, a length from the machining target point P to the first end point G1 on the second tangent line B2 is equal to a length from the machining target point P to the second end point G2 on the third tangent line B3. In this case, the occurrence of burrs caused by the cutting of the burr line RL by the tool C1 can be comparatively suppressed. It should also be noted that the length from the machining target point P to the first end point G1 and the length from the machining target point P to the second end point G2 are not necessarily equal.

[0071] As previously noted, the length from the first position C of the tool CI to the first end point G1 and the length from the first position C of the tool CI to the second end point G2 are both equal to the third radius D of the tool CI. In the embodiment, the first position C of the tool CI is also positioned on an angle bisector DL that bisects an angle formed by the second tangent B2 and the third tangent B3, with the machining target point P serving as the starting point. A line segment SL connecting the first end point G1 and the second end point G2 intersects the angle bisector DL perpendicularly at an intersection point M. The intersection point M is the midpoint of the line segment SL.

[0072] As mentioned above, the first distance between the first end point G1 and the second end point G2 is equal to the predetermined machining width W. More specifically, the length of the line segment SL is equal to the predetermined machining width W. A length from the intersection point M, which is also the midpoint of the line segment SL, to the first end point G1 is 1 / 2 of the predetermined machining width W. The distance between the intersection point M and the machining target point P is hereinafter referred to as the second distance L. The angle formed by the second tangent B2 and the third tangent B3 with the machining target point P as the starting point is hereinafter referred to as the first angle β. The first angle β is a value greater than or equal to 90 degrees and also a value less than 180 degrees (90° ≤ β < 180°).

[0073] The second distance L is calculated based on the above-mentioned first angle β and the predetermined machining width W. According to Equation (1), the predetermined machining width W can be expressed by replacing it with the cutting amount Q. Accordingly, the first calculation unit 230 of the calculation device 110 calculates the second distance L using Equation (2). L=2⋅Q2tanβ2

[0074] The first calculation unit 230 calculates a length CL from the first position C of the tool CI to the machining target point P based on the second distance L, the third radius D of the tool CI, and the cutting amount Q corresponding to the predetermined machining width W. The length CL from the first position C of the tool CI to the machining target point P is calculated using equation (3). CL=D2−Q22−2⋅Q2tanβ2

[0075] As mentioned above, in the present embodiment, the first position C of the tool Cl is positioned on the angle bisector DL. The first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C on the vertical plane VP based on the angle bisector DL and the length CL from the first position C to the machining target point P. Based on the calculation result and the definition of the vertical plane VP, the first position C of the tool Cl can be calculated in a coordinate space defined by the X-axis, the Y-axis, and the Z-axis. The first position C of the tool Cl is calculated with respect to each of the plurality of machining target points P. Each of the machining target points P will be closest to the first position C of the tool Cl on the ridge line RL.

[0076] Fig. 12 is a diagram showing the positional relationship between the second tangent B2 to the first ellipse E1, the third tangent B3 to the second ellipse E2, and the tool C1 for removing the burr BR generated on the outer peripheral surface ST of the thick-walled cylinder CP. At the machining target point P on the burr line RL, the cylindrical shell of the thick-walled cylinder CP is located within a range located on the inner side of the first ellipse E1 and also on the outer side of the second ellipse E2. The contour line of the first ellipse E1 extending from the machining target point P corresponds to the outer peripheral surface ST of the thick-walled cylinder CP. The contour line of the second ellipse E2 extending from the machining target point P corresponds to the peripheral wall surface SW defining the through hole HE.

[0077] When the tool Cl intersects the ridge line RL at the first position C corresponding to the machining target point P on the ridge line RL, the machining surface of the predetermined machining width W is formed between the outer peripheral surface ST of the thick-walled cylinder CP and the peripheral wall surface SW of the through hole HE. The first end point G1 and the second end point G2, which correspond to both ends in the machining width direction of the machining surface, are in Fig. 12. The first distance, which is a straight-line distance between the first end point G1 and the second end point G2, is equal to the predetermined machining width W. The first end point G1 is actually positioned on the contour line of the first ellipse E1. However, since the first end point G1 is positioned near the machining target point P, the first end point G1 can be considered to be positioned on the second tangent B2 to the first ellipse E1 at the machining target point P.

[0078] The second end point G2 is actually positioned on the contour line of the second ellipse E2. However, since the second end point G2 is positioned near the machining target point P, the second end point G2 can be considered to be positioned on the third tangent B3 to the second ellipse E2 at the machining target point P. In the present embodiment, for the convenience of calculation, it is assumed that the first end point G1 is located on the second tangent B2 and that the second end point G2 is located on the third tangent B3.

[0079] A cross-section of the sphere forming the cutting surface of the tool Cl is shown in Fig. 12 is represented as a circle passing through the first end point G1 and the second end point G2, which correspond to both ends in the machining direction in the width direction of the aforementioned machining surface on the vertical plane VP. A length from the first position C of the tool Cl, indicated as the center of the circle, to the first end point G1 and a length from the first position C of the tool Cl to the second end point G2 are both equal to the third radius D of the tool Cl.

[0080] Fig. 13 is a diagram used to describe how the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE is calculated based on the predetermined machining width W. As mentioned above, the first end point G1 and the second end point G2 correspond to both ends in the machining width direction of the machining surface formed by the tool Cl intersecting the ridge line RL at the first position C corresponding to the machining target point P.

[0081] In the present embodiment, a length from the machining target point P to the first end point G1 on the second tangent line B2 is equal to a length from the machining target point P to the second end point G2 on the third tangent line B3. In this case, the occurrence of burrs caused by the cutting of the burr line RL by the tool C1 can be comparatively suppressed. It should also be noted that the length from the machining target point P to the first end point G1 and the length from the machining target point P to the second end point G2 are not necessarily equal.

[0082] As previously noted, the length from the first position C of the tool CI to the first end point G1 and the length from the first position C of the tool CI to the second end point G2 are both equal to the third radius D of the tool CI. In the embodiment, the first position C of the tool CI is also positioned on an angle bisector DL that bisects an angle formed by the second tangent B2 and the third tangent B3, with the machining target point P serving as the starting point. A line segment SL perpendicularly connecting the first end point G1 and the second end point G2 intersects the angle bisector DL at an intersection point M. The intersection point M is the midpoint of the line segment SL.

[0083] The length of the line segment SL corresponds to the predetermined machining width W. A length from the intersection point M, which is also the midpoint of the line segment SL, to the first end point G1 is 1 / 2 of the predetermined machining width W. The second distance L between the intersection point M and the machining target point P is calculated based on the first angle β of the angle formed by the second tangent B2 and the third tangent B3, with the machining target point P serving as a starting point, and based on the predetermined machining width W. The first calculation unit 230 of the calculation device 110 calculates the second distance L using Equation (2).

[0084] The first calculation unit 230 calculates the length CL from the first position C of the tool CI to the machining target point P based on the second distance L, the third radius D of the tool CI, and the cutting amount Q corresponding to the predetermined machining width W. The length CL from the first position C of the tool CI to the machining target point P is calculated using Equation (3). The first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C on the vertical plane VP based on the angle bisector DL and the length CL from the first position C to the machining target point P. Based on the calculation result and the definition of the vertical plane VP, the first position C of the tool CI can be calculated in a coordinate space defined by the X-axis, the Y-axis, and the Z-axis. The first position C of the tool CI is calculated with respect to each of the plurality of machining target points P.Each of the machining target points P becomes closest to the first position C of the tool Cl on the ridge line RL.

[0085] Fig. 14 is a flowchart showing a processing method executed by the control device 30 of the machine tool 10. For example, the present processing method is executed by the computing device 110 of the control device 30, which executes the calculation program. When this processing method is initiated, the acquisition unit 210 of the computing device 110 acquires the processing target data from the user or, alternatively, from the storage device 120 in step S102.

[0086] The machining target data includes the second position of the thick-walled cylinder CP, the third position of the through hole HE, the first radius R1 of the cylindrical peripheral surface SS of the thick-walled cylinder CP, the second radius R2 of the imaginary circular cylinder CS forming the shape of the through hole HE, the arrangement angle of the thick-walled cylinder CP, the penetration angle of the through hole HE, and the eccentric distance f. The arrangement angle of the thick-walled cylinder CP corresponds to the first direction in which the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP extends. The value of the penetration angle of the through hole HE is 0 degrees.

[0087] In step S104, the acquisition unit 210 acquires the tool data from the storage device 120 based on the tool number C1 specified by the user. As tool data, the third radius D of the tool C1 is associated with the tool number C1.

[0088] In step S106, the acquisition unit 210 acquires the option data. The option data includes the cutting amount Q and the tolerance amount TA. When the cutting amount Q is specified, the predetermined machining width W is determined. When the tolerance amount TA is specified, the determination unit 220 of the calculation device 110 determines a plurality of machining target points P on the ridge line RL in step S108.

[0089] In step S110, the first calculation unit 230 of the calculation device 110 calculates the first tangent B1 to the ridge line RL at each of the machining target points P. In step S112, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the second tangent B2 at each of the machining target points P to the first ellipse E1 formed by a vertical plane VP perpendicular to the first tangent B1 and the cylindrical peripheral surface SS. In step S114, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the third tangent B3 at each of the machining target points P to the second ellipse E2 formed by the vertical plane VP and the imaginary circular cylinder CS.

[0090] In step S116, the first calculation unit 230 calculates, based on the machining target data, the angle bisector DL which bisects the angle formed by the second tangent B2 and the third tangent B3, with the machining target point P serving as a starting point.

[0091] In step S118, the first calculation unit 230 determines the line segment SL connecting the first end point G1 on the second tangent B2 and the second end point G2 on the third tangent B3. The first distance between the first end point G1 and the second end point G2 of the line segment SL corresponds to the predetermined machining width W. The first calculation unit 230 calculates the second distance L between the machining target point P and the intersection point M at which the line segment SL intersects the angle bisector DL at a right angle. The second distance L is calculated based on the first angle β formed by the second tangent B2 and the third tangent B3 and the predetermined machining width W.

[0092] In step S120, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to each of the machining target points P based on the second distance L, the third radius D of the tool CI, and the predetermined machining width W. In step S122, the first calculation unit 230 determines whether or not the first positions C of the tool Cl corresponding to all of the plurality of machining target points P determined in step S108 have been calculated.

[0093] If the result in step S122 is NO, the process returns to step S110. If the result in step S122 is YES, the process proceeds to step S124. In step S124, the machining control unit 250 of the calculation device 110 causes the tool C1 to cut the ridge line RL at the first position C corresponding to each of the machining target points P. When the process of step S124 is completed, the present machining process is ended.

[0094] Fig. 15 is a diagram illustrating a computer program product of the calculation program for causing the calculation device 110 of the control device 30 to Fig. 14. The aforementioned calculation program is recorded on a recording medium (storage medium) 310, such as a CD-ROM or a USB memory or the like, and is supplied to the control device 30.

[0095] The calculation program may be recorded in a data signal 330 flowing through a communication network 320 such as the Internet or the like, and may be delivered to the control device 30 by a server 340. The server 340 allows the calculation program, stored in a storage device (not shown), to be carried as the data signal 330 in a carrier wave. The server 340 provides the calculation program by transmitting the data signal 330 to the control device 30 via the communication network 320. In this way, the calculation program is provided in the form of a computer-readable computer program product such as the recording medium 310 or, alternatively, the data signal 330 or the like. [Example variations]

[0096] The embodiment described above may be modified as indicated below. (Example Modification 1)

[0097] In the embodiment described above, the first position C of the tool CI at the machining target point P is calculated using the first angle β, which is the angle formed by the second tangent B2 of the first ellipse E1 and the third tangent B3 of the second ellipse E2 at the machining target point P. However, the first position C of the tool CI at the machining target point P may be calculated using coordinate values based on a coordinate system consisting of the S axis and the T axis on the vertical plane VP.

[0098] Fig. 16 is a diagram illustrating an example of a configuration of the control device 30 for the machine tool 10. Compared to Fig. 2A, a second calculation unit 440 is added to the calculation device 110. The detection unit 210, the determination unit 220, the first calculation unit 230, the second calculation unit 440, and the processing control unit 250 are realized by the calculation device 110 executing the calculation program stored in the storage device 120. At least part of the detection unit 210, the determination unit 220, the first calculation unit 230, the second calculation unit 440, and the processing control unit 250 can be realized by an integrated circuit such as an ASIC or an FPGA, or an electronic circuit with a discrete component.

[0099] The second calculation unit 440 calculates a first basis vector and a second basis vector on the vertical plane VP based on the machining target data. The first basis vector and the second basis vector will be described in detail later.

[0100] Fig. 17A is a diagram showing an angle γ formed by a perpendicular line from the machining target point P on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE to the first center axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP with respect to the X-axis. In Fig. 17A shows a case where the cylindrical peripheral surface SS of the thick-walled cylinder CP, which is Fig. 3B, Fig. 8 and Fig. 9, and the imaginary circular cylinder CS forming the shape of the through hole HE are viewed from the negative direction of the Y-axis. The fourth position of the machining target point P is located on the ridge line RL determined based on the machining target data. The second central axis A2 of the circular cylinder CS is located at a position offset from the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP by an eccentric distance f in the X-axis direction.

[0101] From the Fig. 17A, a region included within the circular cylinder CS corresponds to the through hole HE. Since the machining target point P is located on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE, the machining target point P is located within the above-mentioned region. The length of a perpendicular line from the machining target point P to the first central axis A1 corresponds to the length of the first radius R1 of the cylindrical peripheral surface SS. The fourth position of the machining target point P is expressed by a parameter called the angle γ that the perpendicular line makes with respect to the X-axis. Taking the eccentric distance f into consideration, an X-component Xp of a three-dimensional coordinate value in XYZ space representing the fourth position of the machining target point P is represented in Equation (4), taking the position O on the X-axis of the second central axis A2 as a reference. Xp=R1⋅cos γ−f

[0102] The angle formed by a vertical line from the machining target point P on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE to the second central axis A2 with the X-axis is referred to below as the third angle. Fig. 17B is a diagram showing the third angle φ formed with respect to the X-axis by the perpendicular line from the machining target point P on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE to the second center axis A2 of the circular cylinder CS forming the shape of the through hole HE and a first basis vector e1. Fig. 17B shows the imaginary circular cylinder CS, which in Fig. 3B, Fig. 8 and Fig. 9, viewed from the positive direction of the Z-axis. Since the machining target point P is located on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE, the third angle ϕ is a value greater than 0 degrees and also a value less than or equal to 360 degrees (0° < ϕ ≤ 360°). However, the upper limit of the third angle ϕ may be less than 360 degrees.

[0103] The length of the perpendicular line from the machining target point P to the second central axis A2 is equal to the length of the second radius R2 of the circular cylinder CS. The fourth position of the machining target point P is expressed by a parameter called the third angle ϕ that the perpendicular line forms with respect to the X-axis. The X component Xp of the three-dimensional coordinate value in XYZ space representing the fourth position of the machining target point P is shown in Equation (5), taking the position of the second central axis A2 as a reference. Equation (6) is obtained based on Equation (4) and Equation (5). Xp=R2⋅cos ϕ R1⋅cos γ−f=R2⋅cos ϕ

[0104] Fig. 17B shows the first tangent B1 to the ridge line RL at the machining target point P. A vector perpendicular to this first tangent B1 and also passing through the machining target point P is included in the aforementioned vertical plane VP. A vector having the machining target point P as its starting point, being perpendicular to the second central axis A2, and also forming the third angle ϕ with the X-axis is defined as the first basis vector e1 of the vertical plane VP. The first basis vector e1 is perpendicular to the first tangent B1 and parallel to the aforementioned S-axis as the horizontal axis of the vertical plane VP. Assuming the magnitude of the first basis vector e1 to be 1, the three-dimensional coordinate value of the first basis vector e1 in XYZ space is expressed by Equation (7) using the third angle ϕ as a parameter. e1→=(cosϕsinϕ0)

[0105] The three-dimensional coordinate value of the second basis vector e2, where the machining target point P on the vertical plane VP serves as the starting point P and is perpendicular to the first basis vector e1, is represented in Equation (8) as a vector with a magnitude of 1 based on Equations (6) and (7). The direction in which the second basis vector e2 extends is the direction from the machining target point P to the outside of the thick-walled cylinder CP. The second basis vector e2 is perpendicular to the first tangent B1 and also parallel to the aforementioned T-axis as a vertical axis of the vertical plane VP. The second calculation unit 440 of the calculation device 110 calculates the first basis vector e1 and the second basis vector e2 for each of the plurality of machining target points P according to Equations (7) and (8) using the machining target data. e2→=((R2⋅cos ϕ+f)⋅sin2ϕR12−(R2⋅cos ϕ+f)2⋅cos2 ϕ−(R2⋅cos ϕ+f)⋅sin ϕ cos ϕR12−(R2⋅cos ϕ+f)2⋅cos2 ϕR12−(R2⋅cos ϕ+f)2R12−(R2⋅cos ϕ+f)2⋅cos2 ϕ)

[0106] Fig. 18 is a diagram showing a positional relationship between the second tangent B2, the third tangent B3, and the tool CI for removing the burr BR generated on the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP, as well as the first basis vector e1 and the second basis vector e2. In Fig. 18 are in addition to the Fig. 10, the first basis vector e1 and the second basis vector e2 are shown. As previously noted, the first basis vector e1 is parallel to the S-axis and the second basis vector e2 is orthogonal to the first basis vector e1. Accordingly, in Fig. 18 the second basis vector e2 is drawn in an overlapping manner with the third tangent B3, which is parallel to the T-axis.

[0107] Fig. 19 is a diagram used to describe how the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE is calculated based on the predetermined machining width W. Similar to the above-described embodiment, in the present exemplary modification, the first position C of the tool Cl is also positioned on the angle bisector DL that bisects the angle formed by the second tangent B2 and the third tangent B3, with the machining target point P serving as the starting point. Fig. 19 are in addition to the Fig. The content shown in Figure 11 includes the first basis vector e1, the second basis vector e2, and a direction vector u parallel to the angle bisector DL. The direction vector u is a vector on the vertical plane VP that has the machining target point P as its starting point and has a magnitude of 1. The direction vector u points in a fourth direction in which the angle bisector DL extends.

[0108] The angle formed by the second tangent B2 with respect to the first base vector e1 on the vertical plane VP is hereinafter referred to as the second angle α. As mentioned above, the second tangent B2 is calculated based on the formulation of the first ellipse E1. Accordingly, the second angle α formed by the second tangent B2 with respect to the first base vector e1 on the vertical plane VP is expressed by Equation (9). The first calculation unit 230 of the calculation device 110 calculates the second angle α in accordance with the third angle φ for each of the machining target points P using Equation (9). α=arc tan(R2⋅cos2ϕ+f⋅cos ϕR12−(R2⋅cos ϕ+f)2⋅cos2ϕ)

[0109] The first calculation unit 230 calculates the direction vector u based on equation (10) in which the aforementioned second angle α is used. u→=(cos(45°−α2)sin(45°−α2))

[0110] As previously noted, the first distance between the first end point G1 on the second tangent B2 and the second end point G2 on the third tangent B3 (ie, the length of the line segment SL connecting the first end point G1 and the second end point G2) is equal to the predetermined machining width W. The first calculation unit 230 calculates the second distance L between the machining target point P and the intersection point M at which the line SL perpendicularly intersects the angle bisector DL on the vertical plane VP, based on equation (11) in which the second angle α is used. L=2Q2 tan(45°+α2)

[0111] The first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool CI based on the direction vector u, the second distance L, the third radius D of the tool CI, and the cutting amount Q corresponding to the predetermined machining width W. The two-dimensional coordinate value (Sc, Tc) of the first position C of the tool CI on the vertical plane VP is calculated using Equation (12) if the machining target point P is set as the origin point of the ST plane. Based on Equation (12) and the definition of the vertical plane VP, the first position C of the tool CI can be calculated in the coordinate space defined by the X-axis, the Y-axis, and the Z-axis. (TcSc)=−(D2−12Q2−L)⋅u→

[0112] Fig. 20 is a diagram showing a positional relationship between the second tangent B2, the third tangent B3, and the tool CI for removing the burr BR generated on the outer peripheral surface ST of the thick-walled cylinder CP, as well as the first basis vector e1 and the second basis vector e2. In Fig. 20 are in addition to the Fig. 12, the first basis vector e1 and the second basis vector e2 are shown. In Fig. 20, the second basis vector e2 is drawn so that it is connected to the third tangent B3, which is parallel to the T-axis.

[0113] Fig. 21 is a diagram describing how the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE is calculated based on the predetermined machining width W. Similar to the above-described embodiment, in the present exemplary modification, the first position C of the tool Cl is also positioned on the angle bisector DL that bisects the angle formed by the second tangent B2 and the third tangent B3, with the machining target point P as the starting point. Fig. 21 are in addition to the Fig. 13, the first basis vector e1, the second basis vector e2, and the direction vector u parallel to the angle bisector DL are represented. The first calculation unit 230 of the calculation device 110 calculates the second angle α according to the third angle ϕ for each of the machining target points P using Equation (9).

[0114] The first calculation unit 230 calculates the direction vector u based on equation (13) in which the above-mentioned second angle α is used. u→=(sin(−45°−α2)cos(−45°−α2))

[0115] The first calculation unit 230 calculates the second distance L on the vertical plane VP between the machining target point P and the intersection point M at which the line segment SL perpendicularly intersects the angle bisector DL, based on equation (14) in which the second angle α is used. L=2Q2tan(45°−α2)

[0116] The first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool CI based on the direction vector u, the second distance L, the third radius D of the tool CI, and the cutting amount Q corresponding to the predetermined machining width W. The two-dimensional coordinate value (Sc, Tc) of the first position C of the tool Cl on the vertical plane VP is calculated using Equation (12) if the machining target point P is set as the origin point of the ST plane. Based on Equation (12) and the definition of the vertical plane VP, the first position C of the tool Cl can be calculated in the coordinate space defined by the X-axis, the Y-axis, and the Z-axis.

[0117] Fig. Fig. 22 is a flowchart showing a processing method executed by the control device 30 of the machine tool 10. The present processing method is executed, for example, by the calculation device 110 of the control device 30, which executes the calculation program. Some of the reference numerals corresponding to the steps of the Fig. 22 correspond to the reference numerals corresponding to the steps of the processing method shown in Fig. 14, and represent that the same processing is performed. Descriptions of these processes are omitted.

[0118] When the above-described process of step S110 is completed, the second calculation unit 440 of the calculation device 110 calculates the first basis vector e1 and the second basis vector e2 based on the machining target data in step S200. When the process of step S200 is completed, the above-described process of step S112 is performed.

[0119] When the above-described process of step S114 is completed, the first calculation unit 230 of the calculation device 110 calculates the direction vector u pointing in the fourth direction in which the angle bisector DL extends in step S210. In step S220, the first calculation unit 230 determines the line segment SL connecting the first end point G1 on the second tangent B2 and the second end point G2 on the third tangent B3. The first distance between the first end point G1 and the second end point G2 of the line segment SL is equal to the predetermined machining width W. The first calculation unit 230 calculates, using the second angle α and the predetermined machining width W, the second distance L between the machining target point P and the intersection point M at which the line segment SL intersects the angle bisector DL at a right angle.

[0120] In step S230, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool Cl based on the direction vector u, the second distance L, the third radius D of the tool Cl, and the predetermined machining width W. When the process of step S230 is completed, the process of step S122 is executed as described above. In addition, the computer program product of the calculation program for causing the calculation device 110 of the control device 30 to execute the present processing method is in Fig. 15 shown. (Example Modification 2)

[0121] Although the workpiece is the thick-walled cylinder CP in the above-described embodiment, the workpiece is not necessarily limited to the thick-walled cylinder CP. The workpiece may have an outer peripheral surface in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped and a cylindrical hollow portion. As a workpiece provided with such a shape, a manifold block, for example, can be used. Fig. 23 is a diagram illustrating a distribution block MB used as the workpiece. In Fig. 23 the distribution block MB is arranged on the XY plane.

[0122] Since the hollow portion of the manifold block MB has a cylindrical shape, the cylindrical peripheral surface SS is formed by the inner peripheral surface SN of the manifold block MB. The central axis passing through the center of the cylindrical peripheral surface SS is a first central axis A1 of the manifold block MB. In the present exemplary modification, the first direction in which the first central axis A1 of the manifold block MB extends is the Y-axis direction.

[0123] The through hole HE, which penetrates the manifold block MB from the outer peripheral surface to the inner peripheral surface SN of the manifold block MB in the shape of the circular cylinder CS, is defined by the peripheral wall surface SW. The second direction in which the second central axis A2 of the circular cylinder CS forming the through hole HE extends is the Z-axis direction. In the present exemplary modification, the tool C1 removes the burr BR formed on the inner peripheral surface SN of the manifold block MB.

[0124] The burr line RL forming the edge of the through hole HE is the burr line RLN. The burr line RLN is formed by the peripheral wall surface SW of the through hole HE and the inner peripheral surface SN of the manifold block MB. In the same way as in the case where the workpiece is the thick-walled cylinder CP, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool Cl that intersects the burr line RLN of the manifold block MB with the predetermined machining width W. (Example Modification 3)

[0125] In the above-described embodiment, the through-hole HE penetrating the thick-walled cylinder CP is circular when viewed from directly above the through-hole HE. However, instead of such a through-hole HE having a circular shape, a through-hole HE having an elongated hole shape may be provided in the thick-walled cylinder CP. Fig. Figure 24 is a diagram for describing the thick-walled cylinder CP and the through hole HE having such an elongated hole shape that penetrates the thick-walled cylinder CP. Fig. 24 is instead of the Fig. 3A, the through hole HE having such an elongated hole shape is formed in the thick-walled cylinder CP.

[0126] The ridge line RL of the through hole HE includes two circular arc segments that form a circular arc shape when viewed from directly above the through hole HE, and two straight line segments that are parallel to the first direction (the Y-axis direction). As mentioned above, the first direction is the direction in which the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP extends. The two circular arc segments form both corners (both ends) within the ridge line RL of the through hole HE, which has the shape of a slot. These two circular arc segments are connected to each other via the two straight line segments mentioned above to form the ridge line RL.

[0127] The through hole HE with the elongated hole shape penetrates in the form of a Fig. 24, the imaginary columnar body CB1 extends from the outer peripheral surface ST to the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP. The columnar body CB1 includes two imaginary parallel circular cylinders CS1 and CS2 at both corners (both ends) of the columnar body CB1. The second direction in which each of the central axes A21 of the circular cylinder CS1 and the central axis A22 of the circular cylinder CS2 extends is the Z-axis direction. Accordingly, the central axes A21 and A22 are parallel to each other. When the through-hole HE is viewed from directly above the through-hole HE along the Z-axis, the through-hole HE has a slotted hole shape corresponding to the columnar body CB1. The through-hole HE is defined by the peripheral wall surface SW.

[0128] Fig. 25 is a diagram schematically showing the through hole HE with the slotted hole shape. In Fig. 25 shows a case where the thick-walled cylinder CP with the through hole HE in the form of a slot is viewed from the positive direction of the Z-axis on the outside of the thick-walled cylinder CP. In Fig. Figure 25 shows the circular bottom surfaces of the two imaginary circular cylinders CS1 and CS2 in the through hole HE with the slotted hole shape. The radius of the circular cylinder CS1 is equal to the radius of the circular cylinder CS2. The radius of each of the circular cylinders CS1 and CS2 is the second radius R2.

[0129] The ridge line RL of the slotted hole HE includes a circular arc segment RL1, a straight line segment RL2, a circular arc segment RL3, and a straight line segment RL4. The straight line segments RL2 and RL4 run parallel to the Y axis. The circular arc segment RL1 corresponds to one-half of the circumference forming the side surface of the circular cylinder CS1. The circular arc segment RL3 corresponds to one-half of the circumference forming the side surface of the circular cylinder CS2. The areas where the two circular cylinders CS1 and CS2 are inserted through the through hole HE are contained in both corners (both ends) of the through hole HE.

[0130] In Fig. 25, the machining target point P1 is shown at a position on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE where the straight line segment RL4 and the circular arc segment RL1 are connected. Fig. 25, the machining target point P2 is shown at a position on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE where the circular arc segment RL1 and the straight line segment RL2 are connected.

[0131] In Fig. 25, the machining target point P3 is shown at a position on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE where the straight line segment RL2 and the circular arc segment RL3 are connected. Fig. 25, the machining target point P4 is shown at a position on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE where the circular arc segment RL3 and the straight line segment RL4 are connected.

[0132] As previously noted, the circular arc segment RL1 from the machining target point P1 to the machining target point P2 corresponds to the imaginary circular cylinder CS1. Accordingly, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool Cl that intersects the circular arc segment RL1 of the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W, similarly to the case of the circular through hole HE that intersects the Fig. 5A and Fig. 5B shows the thick-walled cylinder CP.

[0133] As previously noted, the circular arc segment RL3 from the machining target point P3 to the machining target point P4 corresponds to the imaginary circular cylinder CS2. Accordingly, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool C1 that intersects the circular arc segment RL3 of the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W, in a manner similar to the case of the circular through hole HE penetrating the thick-walled cylinder CP shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B.

[0134] More specifically, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool Cl in the circular arc segments RL1 and RL3 of the ridge line RL based on the second tangent B2 of the first ellipse E1, the third tangent B3 of the second ellipse E2, the predetermined machining width W, and the third radius D of the tool Cl. The tool Cl, located at the first position C corresponding to each of the machining target points P within the circular arc segments RL1 and RL3, intersects the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W.

[0135] In the three-dimensional coordinate space defined by the X-axis, the Y-axis, and the Z-axis, the three-dimensional coordinate value of the first position C of the tool C1 that intersects the ridge line RL at the machining target point P2 with the predetermined machining width W is set to (Xc2, Yc2, Zc2). The machining target point P2 is included in the aforementioned circular arc segment RL1 within the ridge line RL. The three-dimensional coordinate value of the first position C of the tool C1 that intersects the ridge line RL at the machining target point P3 with the predetermined machining width W is set to (Xc3, Yc3, Zc3). The machining target point P3 is included in the aforementioned circular arc segment RL3 within the ridge line RL.

[0136] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 25, the straight line segment RL2 of the ridge line RL extends in the Y-axis direction and connects the machining target points P2 and P3. More specifically, the machining target point P2 is located at a position obtained by moving the machining target point P3 in the Y-axis direction by the length of the straight line segment RL2 of the ridge line RL. The first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P2 is also positioned at a position obtained by moving the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P3 in the Y-axis direction by the length of the straight line segment RL2.

[0137] Accordingly, the difference between the Y component Yc2 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P2 and the Y component Yc3 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P3 corresponds to the length of the straight line segment RL2 of the ridge line RL. In this way, the Y components Yc2 and Yc3 are determined.

[0138] In addition, the X component Xc2 and the Z component Zc2 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P2 are equal to the X component Xc3 and the Z component Zc3 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P3. With respect to all machining target points P on the straight line segment RL2 of the ridge line RL, the X component and the Z component of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool Cl are both constant values, and only the Y component changes linearly.

[0139] In the three-dimensional coordinate space defined by the X-axis, the Y-axis, and the Z-axis, the three-dimensional coordinate value of the first position C of the tool Cl that intersects the ridge line RL at the machining target point P4 with the predetermined machining width W is set to (Xc4, Yc4, Zc4). The machining target point P4 is included in the aforementioned circular arc segment RL3 on the ridge line RL. The three-dimensional coordinate value of the first position C of the tool Cl that intersects the ridge line RL at the machining target point P1 with the predetermined machining width W is set to (Xc1, Yc1, Zc1). The machining target point P1 is included in the aforementioned circular arc segment RL1 on the ridge line RL.

[0140] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 25, the straight line segment RL4 of the ridge line RL extends in the Y-axis direction and connects the machining target points P4 and P1. More specifically, the machining target point P1 is located at a position obtained by moving the machining target point P4 in the Y-axis direction by the length of the straight line segment RL4 of the ridge line RL. The first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P1 is also positioned at a position obtained by moving the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P4 in the Y-axis direction by the length of the straight line segment RL4.

[0141] Accordingly, the difference between the Y component Yc1 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P1 and the Y component Yc4 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool Cl corresponding to the machining target point P4 corresponds to the length of the straight line segment RL4 of the ridge line RL. In this way, the Y components Yc1 and Yc4 are determined.

[0142] In addition, the X component Xc1 and the Z component Zc1 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P1 are equal to the X component Xc4 and the Z component Zc4 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P4. With respect to all machining target points P on the straight line segment RL4 of the ridge line RL, the X component and the Z component of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI are both constant values, and only the Y component changes linearly.

[0143] The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to each of the machining target points P1 and P2 within the circular arc segment RL1 is calculated in the manner described above. The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to each of the machining target points P3 and P4 within the circular arc segment RL3 is calculated in the manner described above. The first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool CI within each of the straight-line segments RL2 and RL4 of the ridge line RL based on the first positions C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target points P1, P2, P3, and P4, respectively, and the machining target data. As mentioned above, the machining target data is acquired by the acquisition unit 210.The tool CI located at the first position C corresponding to each of the machining target points P within the straight line segments RL2 and RL4 cuts the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W. (Example Modification 4)

[0144] In the above-described exemplary modification 3, the through hole HE penetrating the thick-walled cylinder CP has the shape of an elongated hole when viewed from directly above the through hole HE. However, the through hole HE may also have the shape of a rounded rectangle. Fig. Figure 26 is a diagram for describing the thick-walled cylinder CP and the through hole HE having a rounded rectangular shape penetrating the thick-walled cylinder CP. The ridge line RL of the through hole HE includes four circular arc segments forming a circular arc shape when viewed from directly above the through hole HE, two straight line segments parallel to the first direction (the Y-axis direction), and two straight line segments parallel to the X-axis direction.

[0145] As mentioned above, the first direction is the direction in which the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP extends. The X-axis direction is perpendicular to the Y-axis direction (the first direction) and the Z-axis direction (the second direction). The four circular arc segments form the four corners of the through hole HE, which has the rounded rectangular shape of the ridge line RL. These four circular arc segments are connected to each other via the above-mentioned four straight line segments to form the ridge line RL.

[0146] The through hole HE with the rounded rectangular shape penetrates in the form of a Fig. 26, the imaginary columnar body CB2 extends from the outer peripheral surface ST to the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP. The columnar body CB2 includes four imaginary parallel circular cylinders CS10, CS20, CS30, and CS40 at the four corners of the columnar body CB2.

[0147] The second direction in which each of the central axis A210 of the circular cylinder CS10, the central axis A220 of the circular cylinder CS20, the central axis A230 of the circular cylinder CS30, and the central axis A240 of the circular cylinder CS40 extends is the Z-axis direction. Accordingly, the central axes A210, A220, A230, and A240 are parallel to each other. When viewed from directly above the through hole HE along the Z-axis, the through hole HE has a rounded rectangular shape, which corresponds to the columnar body CB2. The through hole HE is formed by the peripheral wall surface SW.

[0148] Fig. Figure 27 is a diagram schematically illustrating the through-hole HE with the rounded rectangular shape. In Fig. 27 shows a case where the thick-walled cylinder CP with the through hole HE of the rounded rectangular shape is viewed from the positive direction of the Z-axis on the outside of the thick-walled cylinder CP. In Fig. Figure 27 shows the circular bottom surfaces of the four imaginary circular cylinders CS10, CS20, CS30, and CS40 in the through hole HE with a rounded rectangular shape. The radius of the circular cylinder CS10, the radius of the circular cylinder CS20, the radius of the circular cylinder CS30, and the radius of the circular cylinder CS40 are equal to each other. The radius of each of the circular cylinders CS10, CS20, CS30, and CS40 is the second radius R2.

[0149] The ridge line RL of the rounded rectangular through hole HE includes a circular arc segment RL10, a straight segment RL20, a circular arc segment RL30, a straight segment RL40, a circular arc segment RL50, a straight segment RL60, a circular arc segment RL70, and a straight segment RL80. The straight segments RL20 and RL60 run parallel to the X-axis. The straight segments RL40 and RL80 run parallel to the Y-axis.

[0150] The circular arc segment RL10 corresponds to a quarter of the circumference forming the side surface of the circular cylinder CS10. The circular arc segment RL30 corresponds to a quarter of the circumference forming the side surface of the circular cylinder CS20. The circular arc segment RL50 corresponds to a quarter of the circumference forming the side surface of the circular cylinder CS30. The circular arc segment RL70 corresponds to a quarter of the circumference forming the side surface of the circular cylinder CS40. The areas in which the four circular cylinders CS10, CS20, CS30, and CS40 each pass through the through-hole HE are contained in the four corners of the through-hole HE.

[0151] In Fig. 27, the machining target point P10 is shown at a position on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE where the straight segment RL80 and the circular arc segment RL10 are connected. Fig. 27, the machining target point P20 is shown at a position on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE where the circular arc segment RL10 and the straight line segment RL20 are connected.

[0152] In Fig. 27, the machining target point P30 is shown at a position on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE where the straight line segment RL20 and the circular arc segment RL30 are connected. Fig. 27, the machining target point P40 is shown at a position on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE where the circular arc segment RL30 and the straight line segment RL40 are connected.

[0153] In Fig. 27, the machining target point P50 is shown at a position on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE where the straight segment RL40 and the circular segment RL50 are connected. Fig. 27, the machining target point P60 is shown at a position on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE where the circular arc segment RL50 and the straight line segment RL60 are connected.

[0154] In Fig. 27, the machining target point P70 is shown at a position on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE where the straight segment RL60 and the circular segment RL70 are connected. Fig. 27, the machining target point P80 is shown at a position on the ridge line RL of the through hole HE where the circular arc segment RL70 and the straight line segment RL80 are connected.

[0155] As previously noted, the circular arc segment RL10 from the machining target point P10 to the machining target point P20 corresponds to the imaginary circular cylinder CS10. Accordingly, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool CI that intersects the circular arc segment RL10 of the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W, similarly to the case of the circular through hole HE that Fig. 5A and Fig. 5B shows the thick-walled cylinder CP.

[0156] As previously noted, the circular arc segment RL30 from the machining target point P30 to the machining target point P40 corresponds to the imaginary circular cylinder CS20. Accordingly, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool CI intersecting the circular arc segment RL30 of the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W, in a manner similar to the case of the circular through hole HE penetrating the thick-walled cylinder CP inserted into the Fig. 5A and Fig. 5B is shown.

[0157] As previously noted, the circular arc segment RL50 from the machining target point P50 to the machining target point P60 corresponds to the imaginary circular cylinder CS30. Accordingly, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool CI that intersects the circular arc segment RL50 of the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W, in a manner similar to the case of the circular through hole HE that Fig. 5A and Fig. 5B shows the thick-walled cylinder CP.

[0158] As previously noted, the circular arc segment RL70 from the machining target point P70 to the machining target point P80 corresponds to the imaginary circular cylinder CS40. Accordingly, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool CI that intersects the circular arc segment RL70 of the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W, similarly to the case of the circular through hole HE that Fig. 5A and Fig. 5B shows the thick-walled cylinder CP.

[0159] More specifically, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool CI in each of the circular arc segments RL10, RL30, RL50, and RL70 of the ridge line RL based on the second tangent B2 to the first ellipse E1, the third tangent B3 to the second ellipse E2, the predetermined machining width W, and the third radius D of the tool CI. The tool CI, located at the first position C corresponding to each of the machining target points P within the circular arc segments RL10, RL30, RL50, and RL70, intersects the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W.

[0160] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 27, the straight line segment RL40 of the ridge line RL extends in the Y-axis direction and connects the machining target points P40 and P50. Specifically, the machining target point P40 is located at a position obtained by moving the machining target point P50 in the Y-axis direction by the length of the straight line segment RL40 of the ridge line RL. The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P40 is also positioned at a position obtained by moving the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P50 in the Y-axis direction by the length of the straight line segment RL40.

[0161] Accordingly, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool CI which cuts the straight segment RL40 of the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W, in a manner similar to the case of the elongated hole-shaped through hole HE formed by the thick-walled cylinder CP according to Fig. 24 and Fig. 25 passes through.

[0162] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 27, the straight line segment RL80 of the ridge line RL extends in the Y-axis direction and connects the machining target points P80 and P10. More specifically, the machining target point P10 is located at a position obtained by moving the machining target point P80 in the Y-axis direction by the length of the straight line segment RL80 of the ridge line RL. The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P10 is also positioned at a position obtained by moving the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P80 in the Y-axis direction by the length of the straight line segment RL80.Accordingly, the first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool CI that cuts the straight line segment RL80 of the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W, in a manner similar to the case of the elongated hole-shaped through hole HE formed by the thick-walled cylinder CP as shown in FIG. Fig. 24 and Fig. 25 passes through.

[0163] The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P10 within the circular arc segment RL10 is calculated in the same manner as above. The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P40 within the circular arc segment RL30 is also calculated in the same manner as above. The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P50 within the circular arc segment RL50 is also calculated in the same manner as above. The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P80 within the circular arc segment RL70 is also calculated in the same manner as above.

[0164] The first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool CI within each of the straight-line segments RL40 and RL80 of the ridge line RL based on the first positions C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target points P10, P40, P50, and P80, respectively, and the machining target data. As mentioned above, the machining target data is acquired by the acquisition unit 210. The tool CI, located at the first position C corresponding to each of the machining target points P within the straight-line segments RL40 and RL80, cuts the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W.

[0165] In the three-dimensional coordinate space defined by the X-axis, the Y-axis, and the Z-axis, the three-dimensional coordinate value of the first position C of the tool CI that intersects the ridge line RL at the machining target point P20 with the predetermined machining width W is set to (Xc20, Yc20, Zc20). The machining target point P20 is included in the aforementioned circular arc segment RL10 within the ridge line RL. The three-dimensional coordinate value of the first position C of the tool CI that intersects the ridge line RL at the machining target point P30 with the predetermined machining width W is set to (Xc30, Yc30, Zc30). The machining target point P30 is included in the aforementioned circular arc segment RL30 within the ridge line RL.

[0166] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 27, the straight line segment RL20 of the ridge line RL extends in the X-axis direction and connects the machining target points P20 and P30. More specifically, the machining target point P30 is located at a position obtained by moving the machining target point P20 in the X-axis direction by the length of the straight line segment RL20 of the ridge line RL. The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P30 is also positioned at a position obtained by moving the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P20 in the X-axis direction by the length of the straight line segment RL20.

[0167] Accordingly, the difference between the X component Xc30 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P30 and the X component Xc20 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P20 corresponds to the length of the straight line segment RL20 of the ridge line RL. In this way, the X components Xc20 and Xc30 are determined.

[0168] In addition, the Y component Yc20 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P20 is equal to the Y component Yc30 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P30.

[0169] The machining target points P20 and P30 are positioned on the cylindrical peripheral surface SS of the thick-walled cylinder CP. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 17A, the cylindrical peripheral surface SS, when viewed from the Y-axis, is represented by a circle with the first radius R1 centered on a position of the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP on the XZ plane. The segment RL20, which is a straight line viewed from the positive direction of the Z-axis, is seen as part of an arc of this circle when viewed from the negative direction of the Y-axis. Fig. 17A, when the two-dimensional coordinate value of the position O on the X-axis of the second central axis A2 is defined as (0, 0), the coordinate value of the center position of the circle representing the cylindrical peripheral surface SS is (-f, 0).

[0170] Fig. 28 is a diagram for describing the positional relationship between the first position C of the tool CI and the first center axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP. In Fig. Figure 28 shows a case where the thick-walled cylinder CP, which is cut by a plane perpendicular to the Y-axis (a plane parallel to the XZ plane), is viewed from the negative direction of the Y-axis. The tool CI removes the burr BR by cutting the burr length RL including the machining target point P with the predetermined machining width. From the cut burr length RL, the segment RL20 from the machining target point P20 to the machining target point P30 is enclosed in the above-mentioned circle, which represents the cylindrical peripheral surface SS.

[0171] Accordingly, the first position C of the tool CI intersecting the ridge line RL within the segment RL20 from the machining target point P20 to the machining target point P30 is located on a circular arc CC with a radius R3 centered at a position equal to the center position (-f, 0) of the circle representing the aforementioned cylindrical peripheral surface SS. The center position (-f, 0) of the circle CC is the position of the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP on the XZ plane. The circle CC is expressed on the XZ plane by Equation (15). The X component and the Z component of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI intersecting the ridge line RL in the segment RL20 from the machining target point P20 to the machining target point P30 satisfy Equation (15). (X+f)2+Z2=R32

[0172] The X component Xc20 and the Z component Zc20 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C20 of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P20 also satisfy Equation (15). The X component Xc30 and the Z component Zc30 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C30 of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P30 also satisfy Equation (15). Accordingly, the radius R3 of the aforementioned circle CC is obtained by Equation (16). The radius R3 of the circle CC is equal to the distance between the first position C20 of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P20 and the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP. The radius R3 of the circle CC is also equal to the distance between the first position C30 of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P30 and the first central axis A1 of the thick-walled cylinder CP. R3=(Xc20+f)2+Zc202=(Xc30+f)2+Zc302

[0173] Each of the Z components Zc20 and Zc30 is determined by substituting the corresponding one of the aforementioned X components Xc20 and Xc30 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target points P20 and P30 into the variable X in the equation (15).

[0174] At each machining target point P on the segment RL20 of the ridge line RL, the Y component remains unchanged when the X component of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI changes, and the Z component changes depending on the X component according to equation (15). In addition, in Fig. 28 shows an example of a case where the burr line RL (RLN) forming the edge of the through hole HE is cut by the tool CI to remove the burr BR generated on the inner peripheral surface SN of the thick-walled cylinder CP. However, the same applies to the case where the burr line RL forming the edge of the through hole HE is cut by the tool CI to remove the burr BR generated on the outer peripheral surface ST of the thick-walled cylinder CP.

[0175] In the three-dimensional coordinate space defined by the X-axis, the Y-axis, and the Z-axis, the three-dimensional coordinate value of the first position C of the tool CI that intersects the ridge line RL at the machining target point P60 with the predetermined machining width W is set to (Xc60, Yc60, Zc60). The machining target point P60 is included in the aforementioned circular arc segment RL50 within the ridge line RL. The three-dimensional coordinate value of the first position C of the tool CI that intersects the ridge line RL at the machining target point P70 with the predetermined machining width W is set to (Xc70, Yc70, Zc70). The machining target point P70 is included in the aforementioned circular arc segment RL70 within the ridge line RL.

[0176] As in Fig.As shown in Figure 27, the straight line segment RL60 of the ridge line RL extends in the X-axis direction and connects the machining target points P60 and P70. More specifically, the machining target point P60 is located at a position obtained by moving the machining target point P70 in the X-axis direction by the length of the straight line segment RL60 of the ridge line RL. The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P60 is also positioned at a position obtained by moving the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P70 in the X-axis direction by the length of the straight line segment RL60.

[0177] Accordingly, the difference between the X component Xc60 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P60 and the X component Xc70 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P70 corresponds to the length of the straight line segment RL60 of the ridge line RL. In this way, the X components Xc60 and Xc70 are determined.

[0178] In addition, the Y component Yc60 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P60 is equal to the Y component Yc70 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P70.

[0179] The machining target points P60 and P70 are positioned on the cylindrical peripheral surface SS of the thick-walled cylinder CP. Accordingly, Equation (15), in which the Z components Zc60 and Zc70 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target points P60 and P70 serve as the variable Z, is satisfied. Each of the Z components Zc60 and Zc70 is determined by substituting the corresponding one of the aforementioned X components Xc60 and Xc70 of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target points P60 and P70 into the variable X in Equation (15).

[0180] At each machining target point P on the segment RL60 of the ridge line RL, the Y component remains unchanged when the X component of the three-dimensional coordinate value representing the first position C of the tool CI changes, and the Z component changes depending on the X component according to Equation (15).

[0181] The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P20 within the circular arc segment RL20 is calculated in the manner described above. The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P30 within the circular arc segment RL30 is also calculated in the manner described above. The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P60 within the circular arc segment RL50 is also calculated in the manner described above. The first position C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target point P70 within the circular arc segment RL70 is also calculated in the manner described above.

[0182] The first calculation unit 230 calculates the first position C of the tool CI within each of the straight-line segments RL20 and RL60 of the ridge line RL based on the first positions C of the tool CI corresponding to the machining target points P20, P30, P60, and P70, respectively, and the machining target data. As mentioned above, the machining target data is acquired by the acquisition unit 210. The tool CI, located at the first position C corresponding to the machining target points P within each of the straight-line segments RL20 and RL60, cuts the ridge line RL with the predetermined machining width W.
