Abstract
Description
Technical field
[0001] This description describes techniques related to a tape release device and a tape loading device. State of the art
[0002] A section described in patent literature 1 for the detection of pre-used component tapes performs image processing of an imaging result of a component spool and detects a tip end section of a pre-used component tape loaded in the component spool. Furthermore, a section described in patent literature 1 for setting up a component tape causes a robot section and a holding tool for a pre-used component tape to hold the tip end section of the pre-used component tape based on a detection result from the section for detecting a pre-used component tape. In particular, the end piece of the pre-used component tape is grasped and held by a clip section in the holding section of the pre-used component tape.
[0003] An automatic tape processing device, disclosed in patent specification 2, operates such that a pointed end of an upper strip of a component packaging tape, wound around a tape spool, projects a predetermined length from a pointed end of a carrier tape. In the automatic tape processing device disclosed in patent specification 2, a worker inserts the end section of the packaging tape into a tape inlet. Patent literature Patent Literature 1: JP 2019-204858 A Patent literature 2: WO 2014 / 097473 Summary of the invention: Technical problem
[0004] A carrier belt is wound spirally onto a spool. One end of the carrier belt can be secured to the outer circumference of the spiral belt with a fixing strap. When the spool, in which the end of the carrier belt is secured by the fixing strap, is inserted into a feeder, the fixing strap must be released. Releasing the fixing strap increases the number of work steps required by the worker.
[0005] In view of these circumstances, the present description discloses a tape release device and a tape loading device capable of releasing a fixing tape from a spool. Solution to the problem
[0006] The present description discloses a tape release device comprising a spool-holding section and a release section. The spool-holding section is configured to hold a spool in which an outer circumferential section of a spiral tape is wound spirally. A carrier tape, in which a cover tape sealing a receiving section that accommodates an electronic component, is attached to a base tape provided with the receiving section, is wound spirally, and a tip end section of the cover tape is secured by a fixing tape. The release section is configured to release the fixing tape of the spool, which is supported by the spool-holding section.
[0007] This description details a tape loading device comprising the tape release device described above and a loading section. The loading section is configured to load the carrier tape of the spiral tape, from which the fixing tape has been detached, into a feeding device configured to feed the electronic component to a collection position.
[0008] It should be noted that the present description discloses a technical idea in which, in claim 5, as described in the claims originally appended to the application (hereinafter referred to as the original claims), the wording "the tape release device according to claim 1" is changed to "the tape release device according to any one of claims 1 to 4". Configuration example of the setup device 10
[0010] For example, the tape release device 80 and the tape loading device 100 can be used with the setup device 10. The setup device 10 places the reel 70 onto the feeder 60, so that the electronic component 91 can be fed from the feeder 60. The setup device 10 only needs to automatically place the reel 70 onto the feeder 60 and can assume various configurations.
[0011] As in the Fig. As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the setup device 10 in one embodiment comprises a coil fastening / removal section 20, a coil feed section 30, a coil transfer mechanism 40, and a feeder supply section 50. For simplicity, the direction in which the feeder 60 and the coil 70 face each other when the coil 70 is fastened to and detached from the feeder 60 is referred to in the drawings as the first direction (arrow X-direction). In the first direction (arrow X-direction), a direction (side) from the feeder 60 toward the coil 70 is referred to as a first end side (arrow X1-direction) in the first direction, and a direction (side) from the coil 70 toward the feeder 60 is referred to as a second end side (arrow X2-direction) in the first direction.
[0012] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 3, a sliding direction of the feeder 60 in slot 21b, which runs in a horizontal plane orthogonal to the first direction (arrow X-direction), is designated as the second direction (arrow Y-direction). In the second direction (arrow Y-direction), a sliding direction (side) when the feeder 60 is released is designated as a first end side (arrow Y1-direction) in the second direction, and a sliding direction (side) when the feeder 60 is attached is designated as a second end side (arrow Y2-direction) in the second direction.
[0013] In the coil mounting / removal section 20, various elements are mounted in the first housing 11. The first housing 11 has the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, and a second end face (arrow direction X2) in the first direction and a first end face (arrow direction Y1) in the second direction are partially open. The coil feed section 30 is arranged to be connected to a first end face (arrow Y1 direction) in the second direction of the coil mounting / removal section 20. The coil feed section 30 is formed in a box-shaped base 12, which is smaller than the first housing 11. The coil transfer mechanism 40 is arranged on a plate base 12b that extends from a lower section of the base 12 to a second end face (arrow X2 direction) in the first direction.A feeder supply section 50 is arranged such that it is connected to the second end side (direction of arrow X2) in the first direction of the coil mounting / removal section 20. Various elements are mounted within the feeder supply section 50 inside the second housing 13, which is smaller than the first housing 11 and has a storage compartment 13a in its upper part.
[0014] The reel fastening / removal section 20 comprises a feeder holding section 21, a reel fastening mechanism 22, a tape loading mechanism 23, and a reel release mechanism 24. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the feeder holding section 21 is located at the second end (arrow X2 direction) in the first direction and at the first end (arrow Y1 direction) in the second direction within the first housing 11. The feeder holding section 21 holds the feeder 60 in a vertical working position. Fig. As shown in Figure 3, the feeder holding section 21 comprises a base plate 21a, a slot 21b, and a support plate 21c. The slot 21b is formed as a groove extending along the second direction (arrow Y-direction) in the base plate 21a. The feeder 60 is inserted from a first end face (arrow Y1-direction) in the second direction of the slot 21b towards the second end face (arrow Y2-direction) in the second direction of the slot and held in the working position. The support plate 21c is arranged such that it rises from the base plate 21a and comes into contact with the side surface of the feeder 60 at a second end face (arrow X2-direction) in the first direction at the working position. The support plate 21c supports a pressure load on the second end side (arrow X2 direction) in the first direction, which is generated when the coil 70 is attached to the feeder 60.
[0015] The feeder 60 is detachably attached to a component holder. As in Fig. As shown in Figure 3, the feeder 60 holds the spool 70, on which the carrier tape 72 is wound, attached to a main body part 71, and the carrier tape 72 is conveyed to the electronic component 91. Each spool 70 is marked with an identification code. The feeder 60 is in the shape of a flat box. The feeder 60 includes a spool support shaft 61, which projects from a side plate at the second end (arrow X2 direction) in the first direction to the first end (arrow X1 direction) in the first direction at a substantially central position, as seen in the first direction (arrow X direction). The spool support shaft 61 is inserted into a central hole formed in the middle of the spool 70 and holds the spool 70 removable and rotatable.
[0016] As in the Fig. 4 and Fig. As shown in Figure 5, the carrier belt 72 comprises a base belt 72a, a cover belt 72b, and a bottom belt 72c. The base belt 72a is a basic part of the carrier belt 72 and is provided with several receiving sections 72d and several feed holes 72e. An electronic component 91 is housed in each of the several receiving sections 72d. ... Fig. As shown in 4, a predetermined number (e.g., three in) is used. Fig. 4) Empty receiving sections 72d1, in which the electronic component 91 is not housed, are formed from one end of the carrier strip 72 by receiving sections 72dd. Several receiving sections 72d are arranged at predetermined intervals in a longitudinal direction of the carrier strip 72 in the central region in the width direction of the base strip 72a.
[0017] Each of the multiple feed holes 72e is a through hole and is used when the carrier belt 72 is conveyed in the conveying direction (the second end side (arrow direction Y2) in the second direction). Several feed holes 72e are arranged at a predetermined spacing interval in the longitudinal direction of the carrier belt 72 at the first end side in the lateral direction of the base belt 72a. The cover band 72b seals the receiving sections 72d of the base belt 72a. The cover band 72b is attached to the upper sides of the two end sections of the base belt 72a in the lateral direction, for example by adhesive 72f or thermocompression bonding. The lower band 72c is attached to the underside of the base belt 72a, for example by adhesive 72f or thermocompression bonding, and prevents the electronic component 91 housed in the receiving section 72d from falling out.
[0018] A central section of the side plate 62 at a first end (arrow direction X1) in the first direction of the feeder 60 is open to facilitate the insertion and removal of the reel 70. The material of the carrier tape 72, the width dimension of the carrier tape 72, and / or the width dimension of the reel 70 differ for several types of reels 70, and there are several types of feeders 60 corresponding to several types of reels 70. The feeder 60 comprises a collecting position 63, a gear 64, and a tape release section.
[0019] The collection position 63 is located at a second end (direction of arrow Y2) in the second direction of the top of the feeder 60, and the component holder collects the electronic components 91 at the collection position 63. The gear 64 is rotatably located at a first end (direction of arrow Y1) in the second direction with respect to the collection position 63. A toothed portion of the gear 64 engages in the feed hole 72e of the carrier belt 72. The gear 64 is intermittently driven by a drive motor and conveys the carrier belt 72 at a constant pitch. The belt release section can release the cover belt 72b from the base belt 72a immediately before the collection position 63 to remove the electronic component 91. After passing the collection position 63, the carrier belt 72 is cut by a belt cutting device in the assembly device.
[0020] Each feeder 60 is assigned an identification code for its identification. The feeder 60 is equipped with a feeder control section. The feeder control section stores the identification code of the feeder 60 and the identification code of the coil 70 and controls the feeding of the components. When the feeder 60 is held by the feeder holding section 21, the connectors are connected to each other, and the feeder control section is communicatively linked to the setup device 10.
[0021] The coil fastening mechanism 22 is located at a first end (arrow direction X1) in the first direction of the feeder holding section 21. The coil fastening mechanism 22 uses the coil transfer mechanism 40 to move the coil 70 from a horizontal position to a vertical position and to fasten the coil 70 to the feeder 60 at the work execution position. The coil fastening mechanism 22 comprises a pair of guide rails 22a and 22b, a movable table 22b, fastening material 22c, a placement area 22d, and a temporary placement area 22e. The coil fastening mechanism 22 can be configured such that a mechanism for moving the coil 70 from the horizontal position to the vertical position and a mechanism for fastening the coil 70 to the feeder 60 in the vertical position are separate.
[0022] A pair of guide rails 22a and 22a extends along the first direction (arrow X-direction) at a substantially central position in the second direction (arrow Y-direction) of the first housing 11 and is arranged parallel to be separated from each other. The movable table 22b extends along the second direction (arrow Y-direction) and is arranged to span the top of the pair of guide rails 22a and 22a. As shown in the Fig. 1 and Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the movable table 22b moves along the pair of guide rails 22a and 22a and moves back and forth between a ready position located at the first end (arrow X1 direction) in the first direction and the feeder holding section 21 located at the second end (arrow X2 direction) in the first direction.
[0023] The fastening material 22c has the form of a square bar and extends upwards from the movable table 22b. In the working position, the fastening material 22c faces the coil holder shaft 61 of the feeder 60. Specifically, the fastening material 22c is positioned a predetermined distance from a tip end section of the coil holder shaft 61 in the direction of the first end face (arrow X1 direction). The fastening material 22c oscillates (arrow SW1 in Fig. 1) between an upright position, as seen in the Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 2 shows a horizontal position in which the fastening material 22c is tilted in the first direction about a pivot shaft 22c1 located on the side of the movable table 22b, towards the second end side (direction of arrow X2). The collecting section 22c2 is located at an end section on a side that differs from an end section on the side of the pivot shaft 22c1 of the fastening material 22c. The collecting section 22c2 removably receives the coil 70. The collecting section 22c2 can be a claw section inserted into the central hole of the coil 70, a gripping mechanism that grasps a circumferential edge of the coil 70, a receiving mechanism that receives the coil 70 using a vacuum, or the like.
[0024] The placement area 22d is located at the first end (arrow direction X1) in the first direction within the pair of guide rails 22a and 22a. The coil 70 to be secured is placed in a horizontal position within the placement area 22d. The temporary placement area 22e is located on the guide rail pair 22a and 22a at the second end (arrow direction X2) in the first direction relative to the placement area 22d. When the coil securing mechanism 22 changes the usage sequence of the coils 70, the coils 70 are temporarily moved into a horizontal position in the temporary placement area 22e, and the usage sequence of the coils 70 is changed. The temporary placement area 22e provides space for several coils 70 to be temporarily stored. The movable table 22b and the fastening material 22c move above the placement area 22d and the temporary placement area 22e.
[0025] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the belt loading mechanism 23 is located near the feeder holding section 21. The belt loading mechanism 23 loads the carrier belt 72 into the feeder 60, so that the carrier belt 72 can be fed in. For example, an articulated robot can be used as the belt loading mechanism 23. In this embodiment, the belt loading mechanism 23 comprises an articulated arm 23a, a camera 23b, and several fingers 23c.
[0026] The articulated arm 23a can perform operations such as rotation and bending of the arm and adjust the positions and directions of the camera 23b and the multiple fingers 23c. The camera 23b is attached to an end section of the articulated arm 23a. The camera 23b captures an image of the feeder 60 at the work execution position to detect the position and condition of the spool 70 and the carrier belt 72. Multiple fingers 23c are arranged side by side with the camera 23b at the front end section of the articulated arm 23a. In addition to gripping and releasing a work target, the multiple fingers 23c can perform a movement operation, a rotation operation, and similar actions.
[0027] Several fingers 23c load the carrier tape 72, so that the feed hole 72e at an end section of the carrier tape 72 engages the gear 64 and brings the carrier tape 72 into a feedable state. Several fingers 23c facilitate the loading process of the carrier tape 72 by rotating the spool 70 around the spool holding shaft 61 as needed. The tape loading mechanism 23 assumes a retracted position in which the articulated arm 23a is bent so that it does not impede the attachment and removal of the spool 70 during periods other than operating time.
[0028] The coil release mechanism 24 is located at the first end (direction of arrow X1) in the first direction of the feeder holding section 21 and is positioned above the coil fastening mechanism 22. The coil release mechanism 24 releases the coil 70 from the feeder 60 at the work execution position. The coil release mechanism 24 comprises a guide rail 24a, a movable table 24b, release material 24c, and a collection container 24d.
[0029] The guide rail 24a is located near the top of the first housing 11 and is shaped to extend along the second direction (arrow Y-direction). The movable table 24b is shaped to extend along the first direction (arrow X-direction) and is located below the guide rail 24a. As shown in the Fig. 1 and Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the movable table 24b moves along the guide rail 24a and moves back and forth between the feeder holding section 21 and a ready position located at the second end side (arrow Y2 direction) in the second direction.
[0030] The release material 24c consists of a thick, plate-shaped element that is longer than the movable table 24b and extends along the first direction (arrow X) under the movable table 24b. The release material 24c oscillates (arrow SW2 in Fig. 1) between one in Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 2 shows a horizontal position and a vertical position in which the release material 24c is inclined downwards about the pivot shaft 24c1 arranged at the second end side (arrow X2 direction) in the first direction of the movable table 24b. The collecting section 24c2 is arranged at an end section on a side that differs from the end section on the side of the pivot shaft 24c1 of the release material 24c. The collecting section 24c2 removably collects the coil 70. The method for collecting the collecting section 24c2 can be the same as that of the collecting section 24c2 of the coil fastening mechanism 22 or different from it.
[0031] The collection container 24d is positioned below the release material 24c when the movable table 24b is moved into the ready position. The collection container 24d receives several detached coils 70. The collection container 24d is in the shape of an open-topped box. Accordingly, the collection container 24d can catch the coil 70 that falls when the collection section 24c2 of the release material 24c releases the coil 70.
[0032] The coil feed section 30 includes a coil holding section 31, which is detachably arranged. A pair of guide plates 12a and 12a, extending along the second direction (arrow Y-direction), are arranged at the first end (arrow X1-direction) and the second end (arrow X2-direction) in the first direction of the upper surface of the base 12. The coil holding section 31 is located between the two guide plates 12a and 12a of the base 12. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the facing surfaces of the two guide plates 12a and 12a are conically shaped at the first end (arrow Y1 direction) in the second direction, and the distance at the first end (arrow Y1 direction) in the second direction is greater than that at the second end (arrow Y2 direction) in the second direction. This facilitates the insertion of the coil-holding section 31 towards the base 12 from the first end (arrow Y1 direction) in the second direction.
[0033] The coil-holding section 31 stacks and holds several coils 70 in a horizontal position. The coil 70 is not limited to an unused coil but can be a coil in use where the carrier tape 72 has been used to about half its length. The coil-holding section 31 comprises a round, plate-shaped retaining plate 31a, which is arranged horizontally, and a round, rod-shaped retaining shaft 31b, which extends upward from the center of the retaining plate 31a and projects through the central hole of the coil 70. Accordingly, the coil-holding section 31 can hold several coils 70 in a state in which the retaining shaft 31b passes through the central holes of several coils 70, even if coils 70 with at least one different diameter and width dimension are adjacent to each other, and the coils 70 can be easily removed. The identification code 31c is affixed to the top of the retaining plate 31a.The identification code 31c contains information specifying the coil holding section 31.
[0034] For example, the worker procures several coils 70 based on work instruction data and performs a stacking operation, stacking several coils 70 on the coil holding section 31. The work instruction data specifies the work content of the setup operations performed by the setup device 10. That is, the work instruction data links type information for several coils 70, required for the progress of the sheet product production by the assembly device, with type information for several feeders 60 applicable to the coils 70. A known automated guided vehicle or similar device can also be used to transport the several coils 70.
[0035] The coil transfer mechanism 40 is located on the plate base 12b and extends from a lower part of the base 12 to a second end side (arrow direction X2) in the first direction. The coil transfer mechanism 40 comprises a support column 41, an arm 42, and a collecting section 43. The support column 41 extends vertically upwards at the second end side (arrow Y2 direction) of the plate base 12b. The arm 42 is arranged so that it can be raised and lowered relative to the support column 41. Furthermore, the arm 42 is rotatable in a horizontal plane about a pivot shaft 44 located near the support column 41.
[0036] The collecting section 43 is arranged so that it is extendable and retractable with respect to the arm 42. The collecting section 43 removably receives the coil 70. The method for collecting the collecting section 43 may be the same as, or different from, the method for collecting the collecting section 22c2 of the coil fastening mechanism 22 and the collecting section 24c2 of the coil release mechanism 24. The collecting section 43 is equipped with a code reader. The code reader reads the identification code 31c of the coil holding section 31. The code reader can also read the identification code of the uppermost coil 70.
[0037] The coil transfer mechanism 40 functions as part of the coil fastening mechanism 22. Specifically, the coil transfer mechanism 40 removes the coil 70 from the coil holding section 31 by means of the drive arm 42 and the collecting section 43. Furthermore, the coil transfer mechanism 40 places the removed coil 70 in the placement area 22d or in the temporary placement area 22e in a horizontal position by means of the drive arm 42 and the collecting section 43. The coil transfer mechanism 40 then uses several coils 70 that are stacked from top to bottom on the coil holding section 31.
[0038] The feeder supply section 50 comprises a feeder receiving section 51, which is detachably arranged, and a feeder conveying section 52. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the storage space 13a in the upper part of the second housing 13 is open in the second direction at the first end side (direction of arrow Y1) and can hold several (in Fig. 2 For example, two feeder intake sections 51 are arranged along the first direction (arrow direction X). As in Fig. As shown in Figure 1, several coil conveyors 13b extending along the first direction (arrow X direction) are arranged on a floor surface that defines the storage space 13a, thus facilitating a storage process of the feeder receiving section 51.
[0039] The feeder receiving section 51 is box-shaped, with its first end (arrow direction Y1) open in the second direction. Several slots, identical in shape to slot 21b of feeder holding section 21, are formed on the bottom surface of the feeder receiving section 51. The feeder receiving section 51 can accommodate multiple feeders 60 in a vertical position, arranged along the first direction (arrow X direction). When multiple feeders 60 are housed in the feeder receiving section 51, and the feeder receiving section 51 is properly stored in the storage space 13a, the connectors of the feeder 60 and the feeder receiving section 51 are connected to each other, and multiple feeder control sections are communicatively connected to the adjusting device 10.
[0040] An identification code is assigned to the feeder receiving section 51. Based on the work instruction data, the worker procures several feeders 60 to be used and performs the task of storing the feeders 60 in feeder receiving section 51. The number of feeder receiving sections 51 that can be stored in storage space 13a can be one, three, or more. A known automated guided vehicle (AGV) or similar device can also be used to transport multiple feeders 60.
[0041] The guide rail 13c is arranged in a lower section at the first end (arrow Y1 direction) in the second direction of the storage space 13a of the second housing 13. The guide rail 13c is arranged in storage space 13a substantially over the entire first direction (arrow X direction) and extends to the first end (arrow Y1 direction) in the second direction of the feeder holding section 21. The guide rail 13c is provided with a feeder conveying section 52. The feeder conveying section 52 moves along the guide rail 13c and moves back and forth between the feeder receiving section 51 and the feeder holding section 21.
[0042] The feeder conveying section 52 has the form of a box with an opening section at the second end (arrow direction Y2) in the second direction. The feeder conveying section 52 includes an installation space that temporarily receives the feeder 60 and a feeder actuation mechanism that conveys the feeder 60 through the opening section into the installation space and conveys the feeder 60 out of the installation space. Accordingly, the feeder conveying section 52 can convey the feeder 60 from the feeder receiving section 51 and the feeder holding section 21 and convey the feeder 60 into the feeder receiving section 51 and the feeder holding section 21.A safety fence that can be opened and closed is arranged at the first end side (direction of arrow Y1) in the second direction of the coil feed section 30 and the feeder supply section 50, and the approach of the worker to the coil feed section 30 and the feeder supply section 50 is prevented. 1-2. Example for controlling the setup device 10
[0043] The setting device 10 causes the feeder conveying section 52 to convey the feeder 60 according to the uppermost coil 70 of the coil holding section 31 (step S1 in Fig. 6) The feeder conveying section 52 pulls the feeder 60 out of the feeder receiving section 51 and picks it up, moves to the feeder holding section 21 and inserts the picked-up feeder 60 into the feeder holding section 21. Accordingly, the feeder 60 is held at the work execution position and the identification code of the feeder 60 is read.
[0044] If no feeder 60 is available for the uppermost coil 70 of the coil holding section 31, the coil 70 is placed into the temporary positioning area 22e by the coil transfer mechanism 40. The placement described above is repeated until a suitable feeder 60 is available, and the feeder 60 corresponding to the uppermost coil 70 of the coil holding section 31 is inserted into the feeder holding section 21. According to the control described in step S1, a first-row control, as described in steps S2 to S5, and a second-row control, as described in steps S11 to S14, are executed in parallel in the setup device 10.
[0045] During the control of the first series, the setup device 10 checks the condition of the spool 70 based on the read identification code of the feeder 60 or the read identification code of the spool 70 and changes the control accordingly (step S2). In particular, if the feeder 60 is used in advance in the assembly device, it is possible that the used spool 70, in which the carrier belt 72 has been partially used, is provided in the feeder 60. In this case, the belt loading mechanism 23 performs a fastening operation in which the end section of the carrier belt 72 is fixed with a strap or similar to prevent sagging of the carrier belt 72 (step S3). At this point, the belt loading mechanism 23 can wind the carrier belt 72 around the spool 70 as required. Afterwards, the belt loading mechanism 23 assumes a retracted position in which the articulated arm 23a is bent.
[0046] Next, the coil release mechanism 24 releases the coil 70 from the feeder 60 (step S4). Specifically, the movable table 24b moves from the ready position to the feeder holding section 21. Then, when the release material 24c pivots from the horizontal to the vertical position, the collecting section 24c2 comes into contact with the coil 70 and collects it. When the release material 24c then returns from the vertical to the horizontal position, the collecting section 24c2 pulls the coil 70 out of the coil holder shaft 61 and holds it in the horizontal position. At this point, the setup device 10 deletes the identification code of the coil 70 from the memory section of the feeder control section of the feeder 60. Furthermore, the setup device 10 transmits the identification code of the feeder 60, from which the coil 70 was taken, to a higher-level management unit.At this point, the setup device 10 can transmit the identification code of the withdrawn coil 70 together with the identification code of the feeder 60 to the higher-level management device.
[0047] Next, the coil release mechanism 24 retrieves the coil 70 (step S5). Specifically, the movable table 24b first moves from the feeder holding section 21 to the ready position. Then, the collecting section 24c2 releases the coil 70. Thus, the released coil 70 falls into the collection container 24d and is retrieved. When the coil 70 is retrieved, the control system for the first series is in a standby state until the control system for the second series finishes.
[0048] It is possible that the feeder 60 is equipped with a used spool 70 in which the entire carrier belt 72 was used (step S2). In this case, the control shown in step S3 is omitted for the first series, and the controls shown in steps S4 and S5 are executed. It is also possible that the feeder 60 is not equipped with the spool 70 (step S2). In this case, the controls shown in steps S3 to S5 are omitted for the first series.
[0049] In the second series control, the coil transfer mechanism 40 collects the top coil 70 of the coil holding section 31 using the collecting section 43 and places the coil 70 in the placement area 22d (step S11). The coil transfer mechanism 40 then returns the collecting section 43 via the coil holding section 31. If no applicable feeder 60 is present, the coil transfer mechanism 40 places the coil 70 in the temporary placement area 22e.
[0050] Next, the coil fastening mechanism 22 changes the orientation of the coil 70 in the placement area 22d (step S12). Specifically, the fastening material 22c is first changed from the upright to the horizontal position, and the gathering section 22c2 comes into contact with the coil 70 to gather it. Then, the fastening material 22c is returned from the horizontal to the upright position, and the gathering section 22c2 changes the coil 70 from the horizontal to the vertical position and holds it. When the coil 70 is used in the temporary placement area 22e, the movable table 22b moves a predetermined distance in the first direction toward the second end (direction of arrow X2) before the fastening material 22c changes from the upright to the horizontal position. The control system of the second row is in a standby state until a termination condition is met, indicating the completion of the control of step S4 of the first row. This prevents mutual interference between the coil fastening mechanism 22 and the coil removal mechanism 24.
[0051] When the end condition described above is met, the coil fastening mechanism 22 secures the coil 70 to the feeder 60 (step S13). Specifically, when the collecting section 22c2 holds the coil 70 in the vertical position, the movable table 22b moves towards the feeder holding device 21. Accordingly, the coil 70 moves towards the coil holding shaft 61 and is secured to the coil holding shaft 61. The movement of the movable table 22b can be performed simultaneously with the movement of the movable table 24b into the ready position.
[0052] When the mounting of the coil 70 is complete, the setup device 10 stores the identification code of the coil 70 in the feeder control section of the feeder 60 to which the coil 70 is attached. The setup device 10 also transmits the identification code of the feeder 60 and the identification code of the coil 70 attached to the feeder 60, together, to the higher-level management device. The movable table 22b returns to the ready position. Next, the belt loading mechanism 23 loads the carrier belt 72 until the feed hole 72e of the carrier belt 72 engages with the toothed section of the sprocket 64 (step S14).
[0053] When the control of the first row and the control of the second row are complete, the feeder conveying section 52 pulls the feeder 60 out of the feeder holding section 21, picks up the feeder 60 within it, moves the feeder 60 to the feeder receiving section 51, and inserts the picked-up feeder 60 into the feeder receiving section 51 (step S6). Thus, the setup work for one feeder 60 ends. The setup device 10 determines whether the setup work for all feeders 60 is complete (step S7). If the setup work for all feeders 60 is complete (yes in step S7), the control by the setup device 10 temporarily ends. If the setup work for all feeders 60 is not completed (No in step S7), the control via the setup device 10 returns to the control shown in step S1, and the control described above is repeated until the setup work for all feeders 60 is completed.
[0054] When the control by the setup device 10 ends, the worker, for example, transports the feeder receiving section 51, which receives feeders 60 that have been set up for the component assembly device, and performs the setup change of the feeders 60. When the coil 70 is placed in the temporary placement area 22e, the coil 70 becomes usable when the worker places the feeder 60 suitable for the coil 70 in the feeder receiving section 51. Furthermore, the coil 70 left unused in the temporary placement area 22e is returned to the coil holding section 31 by the coil transfer mechanism 40 and collected by the worker. Alternatively, the transport work described above can also be automated by the worker using a known automated guided vehicle or the like. 1-3. Configuration example for tape release device 80
[0055] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 3, the carrier tape 72 is wound spirally around spool 70. Fig. As shown in Figure 7, for example, the tip end of the carrier tape 72 of an unused spool 70 is shaped such that the cover tape 72b protrudes from the base tape 72a. The tip end section 72b1 of the cover tape 72b and the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral tape 73 are fixed by the fixing tape 74.
[0056] Fig. Figure 7 is a schematic view of the spool 70 in the direction of the axis of rotation and shows a state in which the fixing band 74 has been detached from the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73 and the tip end of the carrier band 72 has been extended for the sake of simplicity. As described above, a process for attaching the carrier band 72 is carried out with respect to the spool 70 in use. In this case, similar to the unused spool 70, the tip of the carrier band 72 can be fixed by the fixing band 74.
[0057] As described above, it is necessary to release the fixing band 74 when the spool 70, in which the tip of the carrier band 72 is fixed by the fixing band 74, is inserted into the feeder 60. When a worker releases the fixing band 74, the number of work steps required by the worker increases. In this embodiment, a band release device 80 is provided. The band release device 80 releases the fixing band 74 from the spool 70.
[0058] In particular, the tape release device 80 comprises a reel support section 81 and a release section 82. The release section 82 may include a gripping mechanism 83. The release section 82 may also include a separating mechanism 84. The tape release device 80 may also include a detection section 85. As described in Fig. As shown in Figure 8, the tape release device 80 of the embodiment comprises a reel-holding section 81, a release section 82, and a detection section 85. The release section 82 comprises a gripping mechanism 83 and a separation mechanism 84. The tape release device 80 of the embodiment performs the control according to the [reference to Figure 8]. Fig. The flowchart shown is from 9. 1-3-1. Coil holding section 81
[0059] The coil-holding section 81 supports the coil 70, on which the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73, wound spirally on the carrier band 72, and the tip end section 72b1 of the cover band 72b are secured by the first fixing band 74. As described above, the cover band 72b, which closes the receiving section 72d, is attached to the base band 72a of the carrier band 72, which is provided with a receiving section 72d that receives the electronic component 91.
[0060] The coil holding section 81 only needs to accommodate the coil 70 described above and can assume various configurations. For example, the coil holding section 81 supports the coil 70 so that it can rotate. As shown in the Fig. 10 and Fig. As shown in Figure 11, the coil holding section 81 comprises the placement section 81a, several (for example, three) claw sections 81b, the drive section 81c, and the coil detection section 81d. The placement section 81a has the form of a circular plate corresponding to the diameter of the coil 70, and the coil 70 described above is placed therein.
[0061] The hole section 81a1 on the side of the placement section is formed in the middle of the placement section 81a such that several (three) claw sections 81b can protrude. The hole section 81a1 on the side of the placement section is formed slightly larger than the hole section 71a1 on the side of the coil, which is formed in the middle of the main body section 71 of the coil 70. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 12, several (for example three) slot sections 71a2, which extend radially from the axis of rotation (the center of the main body section 71) of the coil 70, are formed in the hole section 71a1 on the side of the coil.
[0062] Several (three) groove sections 71a2 are arranged at equal intervals (in this case at positions rotated by 120° each), as seen in the rotational direction of the coil 70. Several (three) claw sections 81b are arranged according to the arrangement of several (three) groove sections 71a2. When the coil 70 is placed on the placement section 81a, several (three) claw sections 81b can accordingly be fitted into several (three) groove sections 71a2.
[0063] Several (three) claw sections 81b are connected to the drive shaft of the drive section 81c. The drive section 81c only needs to rotate the drive shaft and can assume various configurations. In this embodiment, a known belt drive device is used for the drive section 81c. The drive section 81c rotates several (three) claw sections 81b, which are connected to the drive shaft, by rotating the drive shaft. When several (three) claw sections 81b rotate, the spool 70 placed on the placement section 81a also rotates.
[0064] The coil detection section 81d detects whether the coil 70 is correctly positioned on the placement section 81a. If the coil 70 is correctly positioned on the placement section 81a, several (three) claw sections 81b are fitted into several (three) groove sections 71a2. Conversely, the fit described above is insufficient if the coil 70 is not correctly positioned on the placement section 81a, and the coil 70 is lifted from the placement section 81a. The coil detection section 81d can detect this lifting.
[0065] In this embodiment, the coil detection section 81d comprises a detection device positioned at a predetermined distance above the vertical position of the coil 70, which is properly placed on the placement section 81a. For example, the detection device emits detection light horizontally toward the top of the coil 70. If the coil 70 is properly placed on the placement section 81a, the detection light is not blocked, and the coil detection section 81d detects that the coil 70 is properly placed on the placement section 81a (no lifting as described above occurs). Conversely, if the coil 70 is not properly placed on the placement section 81a, the detection light is blocked, and the coil detection section 81d detects that the coil 70 is not properly placed on the placement section 81a (the lifting as described above occurs). The coil detection section 81d can also check the front and back of the coil 70 by reading the identification code attached to the coil 70. 1-3-2. Release section 82, gripping mechanism 83, separation mechanism 84 and detection section 85
[0066] The release section 82 releases the fixing tape 74 from the spool 70, which is supported by the spool holding section 81. The release section 82 only needs to release the fixing tape 74 and can adopt various configurations. In this embodiment, the release section 82 comprises the gripping mechanism 83 and the separating mechanism 84. The tape release device 80 comprises the detection section 85. The tape release device 80 can adopt any combination of the spool holding section 81, the release section 82 (gripping mechanism 83 and separating mechanism 84), and the detection section 85, and the details described in this description can be applied accordingly.
[0067] If an adhesive is applied to the entire surface of the fixing tape 74 on the side that is attached to the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73, it is difficult to detach the fixing tape 74. Therefore, the fixing tape 74, as shown in Fig. Figure 7 shows an adhesive section 74a and a non-adhesive section 74b. The adhesive section 74a is a section to which an adhesive agent is applied. The adhesive agent is located on a section at the base end of the fixing band 74 on the surface of the fixing band 74 on the side that is attached to the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73.
[0068] The adhesive section 74a secures the pointed end section 72b1 of the cover tape 72b and the fixing tape 74. The adhesive section 74a secures the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral tape 73 and the fixing tape 74. The non-adhesive section 74b is a section at the pointed end of the fixing tape 74 and is a section on which the adhesive for the fixing tape 74 and the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral tape 73 is not provided. Since the non-adhesive section 74b is not provided with an adhesive on the surface of the fixing tape 74 that is located on a side intended to be attached to the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral tape 73, the non-adhesive section 74b is not attached to the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral tape 73 and can therefore be gripped.
[0069] Here, the gripping mechanism 83 grasps the non-adherent section 74b. The gripping mechanism 83 only needs to grasp the non-adherent section 74b and can assume various configurations. In the embodiment as shown in the Fig. As shown in Figures 13 to 18, the gripping mechanism 83 comprises the first gripping mechanism 83a and the second gripping mechanism 83b. The first gripping mechanism 83a comprises the first claw section 83a1, which can be inserted between the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73 and the non-adherent section 74b. The second gripping mechanism 83b grips the non-adherent section 74b in conjunction with the first gripping mechanism 83a.
[0070] The second gripping mechanism 83b only needs to grip the non-adherent section 74b in cooperation with the first gripping mechanism 83a and can assume various configurations. For example, the second gripping mechanism 83b can include the second claw section 83b1. The second claw section 83b1 grips the non-adherent section 74b in cooperation with the first claw section 83a1 in a state where the first claw section 83a1 is inserted between the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73 and the non-adherent section 74b. In particular, the tip end section of the first claw section 83a1 and the tip end section of the second claw section 83b1 protrude in opposite directions, and the non-adherent section 74b is grasped between the tip end section of the first claw section 83a1 and the tip end section of the second claw section 83b1, so that the non-adherent section 74b is grasped.
[0071] The embodiment described above is suitable for a case in which the fixing band 74 is made of a material that is relatively difficult to bend, such as a resin band. Alternatively, the fixing band 74 may comprise a band made of a material that is relatively easy to bend, such as a paper band. In this case, the non-adherent section 74b of the fixing band 74 can lift, making it difficult for the first claw section 83a1 and the second claw section 83b1 to grip the non-adherent section 74b. Therefore, the second gripping mechanism 83b can comprise the second claw section 83b1 and a pressure section 83b2.
[0072] In the embodiment described above, the second claw section 83b1 places the non-adherent section 74b onto the first claw section 83a1 in a state where the first claw section 83a1 is inserted between the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73 and the non-adherent section 74b. The pressure section 83b2 presses the non-adherent section 74b onto the first claw section 83a1 by the second claw section 83b1. The pressure section 83b2 only needs to press the non-adherent section 74b and can assume various configurations. In this embodiment, the pressure section 83b2 is rod-shaped. In this embodiment, the non-adherent section 74b is gripped by the first claw section 83a1 and the pressure section 83b2.
[0073] The detection section 85 detects the non-adherent section 74b. The detection section 85 only needs to detect the non-adherent section 74b and can assume various configurations. For example, if the same number of electronic components 91 are housed in the coil 70, the diameter of the spiral band 73 varies depending on the thickness of the electronic components 91. In particular, the diameter of the spiral band 73 increases as the thickness of the electronic components 91 increases. If the diameter of the spiral band 73 varies, the distance from the gripping mechanism 83 to the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73, in which the non-adherent section 74b is located, also varies. Therefore, it is preferable for the detection section 85 to include an outer circumferential detection section 85s that detects the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73.In this case, the detection section 85 can detect the non-adherent section 74b in relation to the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73, which was detected by the outer circumferential detection section 85s.
[0074] For example, the outer circumference detection section 85s detects the outer circumference section 73a of the spiral band 73 by bringing the gripping mechanism 83, which can grip the non-adherent section 74b, into contact with the outer circumference section 73a of the spiral band 73 (step S21, shown in Fig. 9) Then the detection section 85 detects the non-adherent section 74b by moving the gripping mechanism 83 relatively along the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73, which was detected by the outer circumferential detection section 85s (step S22). As in the Fig. As shown in Figures 13 to 18, the gripping mechanism 83 in the embodiment comprises the first claw section 83a1. The outer circumference detection section 85s comprises a first driver 85a and the first sensor 85b.
[0075] The first driver 85a is displaced when the first claw section 83a1 moves towards the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral belt 73 and reaches the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral belt 73. The first sensor 85b detects that the first claw section 83a1 has reached the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral belt 73 by the displacement of the first driver 85a. For example, the outer circumferential detection section 85s moves the gripping mechanism 83 towards the spool 70 by moving the drive section 84a of the in Fig. The separation mechanism shown in section 84 is used. As in Fig. 14 and Fig. As shown in Figure 15, the gripping mechanism 83 is supported by the movable body 84b of the separating mechanism 84 via an elastic element 83c. The elastic element 83c is, for example, formed by a spring.
[0076] When the gripping mechanism 83, together with the movable body 84b, moves towards the outer circumference detection section 73a of the spiral band 73, and the gripping mechanism 83 reaches the outer circumference detection section 73a of the spiral band 73, and the movable body 84b continues to move, the gripping mechanism 83 displaces relative to the movable body 84b. More precisely, when the movable body 84b continues to move towards the spiral band 73 after the first claw section 83a1 has reached the outer circumference section 73a of the spiral band 73, the elastic element 83c contracts against the elastic force, and the gripping mechanism 83 displaces relative to the movable body 84b.When the elastic element 83c contracts, the first driver 85a, which is arranged in the gripping mechanism 83, moves towards the first sensor 85b, which is provided in the movable body 84b, and blocks the detection light of the first sensor 85b. Thus, the outer circumference detection section 85s detects that the first claw section 83a1 has reached the outer circumference section 73a of the spiral band 73.
[0077] As described above, the detection section 85 comprises the first driver 85a and the first sensor 85b. The detection section 85 also includes a second driver 85c and a second sensor 85d. The second driver 85c is displaced when, in a state where the first claw section 83a1 has reached the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73, the spool 70 is rotated by the spool-holding section 81, so that the first claw section 83a1 is inserted between the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73 and the non-adherent section 74b, and reaches the adhering section 74a. The second sensor 85d detects, by means of the displacement of the second driver 85c, that the first claw section 83a1 has reached the adhering section 74a of the fixing band 74.
[0078] In particular, in the Fig. 15 state shown when the coil 70 is rotated by the coil holding section 81, which is in Fig. The state shown in Figure 16 is reached. If the coil 70 continues to rotate after the first claw section 83a1 has reached the adhering section 74a, the first claw section 83a1 rotates in the top view of Fig. 16 counterclockwise around the rotating section 83d. Due to the rotation of the first claw section 83a1, the second driver 85c provided in the first claw section 83a1 moves away from the second sensor 85d, and the detection light of the second sensor 85d is no longer blocked. Thus, the detection section 85 detects that the first claw section 83a1 has reached the adhering section 74a of the fixing band 74 and detects the non-adhering section 74b at the tip end in relation to the adhering section 74a.
[0079] In this embodiment, the first gripping mechanism 83a comprises a first claw section 83a1. The second gripping mechanism 83b comprises a second gripping mechanism 83b and a pressure section 83b2. The gripping mechanism 83 grasps the non-adherent section 74b using the first claw section 83a1, the second claw section 83b1, and the pressure section 83b2 (step S23, shown in Fig. 9). As in Fig. As shown in Figure 17, the second gripping mechanism 83b uses the second claw section 83b1 to position the non-adherent section 74b on the first claw section 83a1 in a state where the first claw section 83a1 is inserted between the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73 and the non-adherent section 74b. Specifically, the second gripping mechanism 83b uses, for example, a linear motion mechanism 83e, such as a cylinder, to push out and rotate the second claw section 83b1. Thus, the non-adherent section 74b is placed onto the first claw section 83a1.
[0080] Next, the second gripping mechanism 83b presses, as shown in Fig. Figure 18 shows the non-adherent section 74b being gripped by the pressure section 83b2 in a state where the non-adherent section 74b is placed onto the first claw section 83a1 by the second claw section 83b1. Specifically, the second gripping mechanism 83b uses, for example, a linear motion mechanism 83f, such as a cylinder, to push the pressure section 83b2. Thus, the non-adherent section 74b is gripped by the first claw section 83a1 and the pressure section 83b2.
[0081] A separating mechanism 84 separates the fixing tape 74 from the cover tape 72b (step S24 in Fig. (9 shown). The separation mechanism 84 only needs to separate the fixing tape 74 from the cover tape 72b and can assume various configurations. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 19, the separating mechanism 84 in the embodiment moves the gripping mechanism 83 in a direction away from the spool 70 in a state in which gripping mechanism 83 grips the non-adherent section 74b and separates the fixing tape 74 from the cover tape 72b.
[0082] In particular, the separating mechanism 84 comprises a drive section 84a. The drive section 84a only needs to move the gripping mechanism 83 as described above and can assume various configurations. In this embodiment, a known belt drive device is used as the drive section 84a. The drive section 84a can move the gripping mechanism 83 in one direction away from the spool 70 (right direction in the top view). Fig. 19). The drive section 84a can also move the gripping mechanism 83 in one direction towards the spool 70 (left direction in the top view of Fig. 19).
[0083] The coil-holding section 81 rotatably supports the coil 70. When the coil 70 is placed on the placement section 81a, several (three) claw sections 81b engage with several (three) groove sections 71a2. Furthermore, several (three) claw sections 81b are connected to the drive shaft of the drive section 81c. Therefore, when the separating mechanism 84 moves the gripping mechanism 83, resistance may occur when the coil 70 rotates. If the resistance increases, the carrier belt 72 is more likely to tear when the gripping mechanism 83 moves.
[0084] The spool-holding section 81 can adjust the rotation of the spool 70 according to the movement of the gripping mechanism 83, so that the carrier belt 72 does not break when the gripping mechanism 83 moves. For example, in this embodiment, the gripping mechanism 83 includes the first claw section 83a1. The belt release device 80 includes the first driver 85a and the first sensor 85b. In this case, the spool-holding section 81 estimates the diameter of the spiral belt 73 based on the position of the first claw section 83a1 when the first sensor 85b detects that the first claw section 83a1 has reached the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral belt 73, and adjusts the rotation of the spool 70 based on the estimated diameter of the spiral belt 73.
[0085] In particular, the drive section 84a of the separating mechanism 84 includes, for example, a position detector such as an encoder. The position detector can detect the distance between the center position of the coil 70 held by the coil holding section 81 and the position of the first claw section 83a1 when the first sensor 85b detects that the first claw section 83a1 has reached the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral belt 73. This distance corresponds to the radius of the spiral belt 73. Accordingly, the coil holding section 81 can estimate the diameter of the spiral belt 73 based on the distance detected by the position detector.
[0086] The spool holding section 81 sets the rotation of spool 70 based on the estimated diameter of the spiral band 73. Specifically, the spool holding section 81 calculates the length (circumference) of the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73 from the diameter of the spiral band 73. The length of the outer circumferential section 73a is a value obtained by multiplying the diameter of the spiral band 73 by pi. Accordingly, the spool holding section 81 can detect the amount of carrier band 72 pulled out per unit of rotation of the spool 70. The spool holding section 81 detects the amount of carrier band 72 pulled out from the movement of the gripping mechanism 83 and sets the rotation of the spool 70 accordingly. If the drive shaft of the drive section 81c of the spool holding section 81 can be disconnected, the drive shaft of the drive section 81c can be disconnected. 2. Tape release device 80 and tape loading device 100
[0087] The tape release device 80 can be mounted at any location inside or outside the setup device 10. For example, the tape release device 80 can be mounted near the tape loading mechanism 23 and the reel transfer mechanism 40 (for example, placement area 22d or the like). The placement of the reel 70 onto the placement section 81a of the reel holding section 81 can be performed by the operator or by the reel transfer mechanism 40 or the like. Furthermore, the reel 70, from which the fixing tape 74 has been released by the tape release device 80, can be mounted on the feeder 60 by the operator or mounted on the feeder 60 by the tape loading device 100.
[0088] The tape loading device 100 comprises the tape release device 80 and the loading section 90. The tape release device 80 can assume any of the configurations described above. The loading section 90 loads the carrier tape 72 of the spiral tape 73, from which the fixing tape 74 has been detached, into the feeder 60, which delivers electronic component 91 to the collection position 63. The loading section 90 corresponds to the tape loading mechanism 23. That is, the loading section 90 can include the articulated arm 23a, the camera 23b, and the finger 23c.
[0089] For example, the loading section 90 can load the carrier belt 72 into the feeder 60 by grasping the front end of the carrier belt 72, which has been pulled out of the spiral belt 73 from which the fixing belt 74 has been detached, with its fingers 23c. The spool fastening mechanism 22 can change the spool 70, from which the fixing belt 74 has been detached, from the horizontal to the vertical position and attach the spool 70 to the feeder 60 in the work execution position. The belt loading device 100 can include various configurations, as described above for the setup device 10. 3. Modification example
[0090] The detection section 85 only needs to detect the non-adherent section 74b and can adopt various configurations. For example, in one embodiment, the detection section 85 includes an outer circumference detection section 85s, and the outer circumference detection section 85s is a contact detection section that detects the outer circumference section 73a of the spiral band 73 by bringing the gripping mechanism 83, which is capable of gripping the non-adherent section 74b, into contact with the outer circumference section 73a of the spiral band 73. However, the detection section 85 can also be a non-contact detection section that detects the non-adherent section 74b without bringing the gripping mechanism 83 into contact with the outer circumference section 73a of the spiral band 73.For example, the detection section 85 can use the imaging device to capture an image of the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73 and detect the non-adherent section 74b based on the captured image. The outer circumferential detection section 85s can also detect the outer circumferential section 73a of the spiral band 73 using a non-contact distance sensor, such as a laser displacement measuring device. 4. Example of advantageous effects of the embodiment
[0091] The tape release device 80 can release the fixing tape 74 from the reel 70. The tape loading device 100 also includes the tape release device 80. Therefore, what was described above regarding the tape release device 80 can be considered the same for the tape loading device 100. Reference character list
