Description

[0001] In urban areas, it is often not possible or economically feasible to remove impervious surfaces and create sustainable planting and greening, as there are shallow pipes and cables running through the relevant areas.

[0002] The “modular unsealing” system addresses this very issue. It can be installed above existing cables and enables sustainable planting. It consists of a water reservoir (1) for storing rainwater (15) and modular planting elements, which can be supplemented with modular seating ( Fig. 1+ Fig. 2).

[0003] The water reservoir collects rainwater from the street (6) or the sidewalk (7) and stores it ( Fig. 3+ Fig. 4) The plants in the planting modules (2) are supplied with water from the reservoir ( Fig. 5) The water reservoir has an overflow protection device (5) through which excess water can seep into the ground or be drained away. Both the incoming and outgoing water are filtered ( Fig. 3+ Fig. 4).

[0004] The system can be flexibly designed and furnished depending on the location and circumstances. Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 8 shows examples of this. The system is modular and structured using a grid (14) ( Fig. 7) The seating modules (3) and planting modules can be combined almost arbitrarily. Open areas above the water reservoir are covered with a panel (13) ( Fig. 6+ Fig. 7).

[0005] With "modular de-sealing", for example, former parking lots can be landscaped with larger plants and supplied with water, even if there are pipes running in the ground.
