Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a door lock comprising a handle, a latch that can be moved within the door lock, an actuating device for moving the latch between a retracted state and an extended state, a locking cylinder, and a locking element. The locking element can be set into an unlocked state and a locked state by opening and closing the locking cylinder using a key. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a door with a door lock.
[0002] Door locks are used to prevent unauthorized third parties from opening doors. Door locks have a latch that can be moved into a retracted and an extended position. The latch is usually pre-loaded into the extended position by a spring. When the door locks, the latch is pushed back into the retracted position against the spring pressure and snaps back into a recess in the frame or strike plate as soon as the door is completely closed. In the case of exterior doors for apartments, houses, and commercial buildings, opening the door from the outside is usually only possible with a key. This is particularly the case if the exterior door has only a doorknob and no door handle on the outside.
[0003] It often happens that doors accidentally lock, locking people out of their house or apartment. If the person doesn't have the key needed to open the door, an expensive door-opening service often has to be hired.
[0004] From DE 1 729 543 U a device on security door locks for releasing the lock latch without using the lock handle is known, wherein the known handle button on the outside of the door is used, which is connected to the lock latch by known means in such a way that it enables the lock latch to be opened after triggering a securing means by twisting, axial displacement or the like.
[0005] DE 10 2017 109 904 A1 discloses a security system for preventing accidental locking out of a door with a door frame in which a door leaf is pivotably mounted, comprising a door lock and a door handle operable by the door lock, which is arranged on an inner side of the door leaf. A hand access opening is provided in the door leaf, which is arranged within reach of the door lock at a distance that allows manual access to the door lock with a hand guided through the hand access opening. Description of the invention: task, solution, advantages
[0006] The present invention is based on the object of providing a door lock which can be opened by an authorized person without the presence of a key.
[0007] To achieve the object underlying the invention, a door lock is proposed comprising a handle, a latch that can be moved in the door lock, an actuating device for moving the latch between a retracted state and an extended state, a locking cylinder, and a locking element, wherein the locking element can be set into an unlocked state and a locked state by opening and closing the locking cylinder using a key, wherein it is further provided that the door lock has a keyless lock, and that when the locking element is in the unlocked state and the keyless lock is opened, the latch can be moved into the retracted state by means of the actuating device, and that when the locking element is in the locked state and the keyless lock is opened, the latch cannot be moved into the retracted position by means of the operating device.
[0008] The door lock can be attached to a door, in particular an external door of a house, an apartment, or a commercial building. The door lock can further comprise a first and a second door plate. Furthermore, it can be provided that the door lock has a second handle, wherein a handle is attached to each side of the door lock, in particular to each door plate. The handle and the actuating device are preferably located on the same side of the door lock, in particular on the same door plate. When the door lock is used in an external door of an apartment, a house, or a commercial building, the handle and the actuating device are arranged on the outside of the door. A second handle can then be located on the inside of the door.
[0009] Where appropriate, the function of the door lock is explained below using a state of the door lock arranged on a door.
[0010] According to the invention, a person authorized to open the door can open the door by opening the keyless lock and actuating the actuating device when the locking element is in the unlocked state. This means that if the locking element is in the unlocked state and the keyless lock is open, the latch can be moved into the retracted state by actuating the actuating device. However, if the locking element is in the locked state, the latch cannot be moved into the retracted state by means of the actuating device, even if the keyless lock is open.
[0011] Using the lock according to the invention, it is therefore possible for a person who has accidentally locked themselves out of the door without a key to reopen the door by opening the keyless lock. However, as long as the locking element is in the locked state, opening the door without the key is no longer possible. This is generally not important for a person authorized to access the door, since this person has usually previously set the locking element to the locked state using the key and is therefore in possession of the key.
[0012] Preferably, the actuating device is locked when the locking element is in the locked state.
[0013] The trap is preferably a slanted trap.
[0014] The latch can therefore be pushed along its slope into the retracted position against the spring pressure in the door lock when the door closes.
[0015] It is further advantageous that the latch can be moved into the retracted state by turning the key in the lock cylinder when the keyless lock is open and when the keyless lock is not open.
[0016] Thus, regardless of whether the keyless lock is open or closed, the latch can be moved into the retracted position in the usual way by turning the key in the locking cylinder.
[0017] It is further advantageous that the locking element comprises a bolt arranged so as to be movable in the door lock.
[0018] If the bolt is locked by closing the locking cylinder using a key, the bolt is inserted into a corresponding recess in a frame or a strike plate of the door frame when the door is closed.
[0019] With further advantage, it can be provided that the door lock has a latch lock which, in a blocking position, blocks the latch in the extended state and, in a release position, releases the latch.
[0020] It is preferably provided that the latch lock is in the blocking position when the door is closed.
[0021] Such latch locks can have a pivoting element or a pivoting lever, which is arranged above or below the latch and is pushed into the door lock when the door is closed through contact with the frame or a strike plate. Since there is no recess in the frame or strike plate to accommodate the pivoting element or the pivoting lever, the pivoting element or the pivoting lever remains in the retracted position when the door is closed. A latch lock mechanism blocks the latch in the extended position when the pivoting element or the pivoting lever is retracted.
[0022] Regardless of the design of the latch lock, the blocking of the latch by the latch lock can usually be released by operating a door handle, which simultaneously retracts the latch. If no door handle is provided, as is often the case on the outside of front or apartment doors, the blocking of the latch by the latch lock can only be released by using a corresponding key via the locking cylinder.
[0023] It is preferably provided that the locking element, in particular a pin, locks the latch lock in the blocking position in the locking state.
[0024] If the person has closed the locking cylinder with a key, so that the locking element is in the locked state, in which the locking element locks the latch lock in the blocking position, the latch cannot be moved into the retracted position using the operating device when the lock is open. Opening the door without the key is then impossible.
[0025] Furthermore, it can be provided that when the locking element is in the unlocked state and the keyless lock is opened, the latch lock can be moved into the release position, preferably by means of the actuating device.
[0026] If the locking element is in the unlocked position, in which the locking element does not lock the latch lock, the latch lock can be moved to the release position using the actuating device when the lock is open, and the latch can simultaneously be moved to the retracted position. The door can thus be opened without a key.
[0027] In principle, the handle can be a door handle.
[0028] Preferably, the handle is a doorknob.
[0029] Especially with exterior doors of apartments or houses, there is usually only a fixed doorknob on the outside.
[0030] It is further advantageous that the keyless lock can be opened by transmitting a code, in particular a character sequence, further in particular a sequence of numbers.
[0031] It can be provided that the keyless lock is an electronic lock.
[0032] The code can be transmitted to the keyless lock via a radio signal, preferably via a smartphone.
[0033] It is particularly preferred that the keyless lock is a number variation lock, in particular a number combination lock.
[0034] Furthermore, it can be provided that the keyless lock has an input device for the code, in particular for the character sequence, further in particular for the number sequence.
[0035] It is preferably provided that the input device has number wheels.
[0036] The input device is similar to a familiar bicycle lock, where the keyless lock opens by entering a number combination.
[0037] It is preferably provided that the input device comprises a keypad.
[0038] Especially with an electronic lock, transmitting the code via a keypad is particularly advantageous.
[0039] In principle, it is possible for the actuating device to be an electric motor. This is particularly advantageous if the keyless lock is an electronic lock.
[0040] Preferably, the actuating device is the handle, in particular a door handle.
[0041] Thus, the handle and the actuating device can be the same element.
[0042] It can be further advantageously provided that the input device is arranged on the handle or on a door plate of the door lock.
[0043] With further advantage, it can be provided that the doorknob has a head and a web, wherein the actuating device is a ring rotatable around the web.
[0044] The actuating device is therefore not identical to the handle but is designed as a part of the handle.
[0045] This design is particularly advantageous when the handle is a conventional doorknob. The actuating device can be designed as a ring that rotates around the web of the doorknob.
[0046] Furthermore, it can be provided that the input device, in particular the number wheels, are also arranged on the doorknob, in particular on the bar or the head of the doorknob. A user can thus enter the number combination required for opening via the number wheels and then, with the keyless lock open, rotate the actuating device, designed as a ring, around the bar of the doorknob, thereby moving the latch into the retracted state when the locking element is in the unlocked state.
[0047] Furthermore, a reset mechanism can be provided, wherein the number wheels are placed into an initial position by the reset mechanism after each opening of the keyless lock.
[0048] The preferred reset mechanism reduces the risk of unauthorized persons gaining access to the code, especially the digit or number combination. Each time the door lock is opened with the locking element in the unlocked position and the lock open, the number wheels are reset to a neutral value, for example, "0000." This means that any previously entered digit sequence required for opening the door is no longer detectable by third parties after the door has been opened.
[0049] It is preferably provided that the locking element can be put into the locking state by rotating the handle in a locking direction.
[0050] For example, a handle designed as a door handle can be turned in the opposite direction to the conventional direction into a vertical position at "12:00 o'clock." In this position, the locking element is locked. The handle is preferably the second handle on the inside of the door. This allows the locking element to be locked from the inside of the door without the need for a key.
[0051] A further solution to the problem underlying the invention consists in a door, in particular an external door, further in particular an apartment door or front door, with a door lock as described above.
[0052] All features, functions and configurations explained above with regard to the door lock can be transferred analogously to the door, in particular the door lock of the door. Short description of the characters
[0053] The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the figures. They show: Fig. 1 a door lock, Fig. 2 a doorknob, and Fig. 3 a door with a door lock. Detailed description of the characters
[0054] Fig. 1 shows a door lock 100. The door lock 100 comprises a handle 10, which is designed as a doorknob 11. The handle 10 is in Fig. 2. Furthermore, the door lock 100 has a latch 13 which can be moved in the direction of arrow 12 in the door lock 100, an actuating device 14 for moving the latch 13 between a retracted state and an extended state, a locking cylinder 15 and locking elements 16. The locking elements 16 can be moved into an unlocked state and into a locked state by opening and closing the locking cylinder 15 using a key. Fig. 1. The door lock 100 further comprises a keyless lock 17, shown only schematically.
[0055] The locking elements 16 are a bolt 18 and a pin 19 for locking a latch lock 20, explained below, in a blocking position. The latch lock 20 comprises a pivotable lever 21 which is arranged below the latch 13 and is pushed into the door lock 100 upon contact with a frame or a strike plate when the door is closed. Since no recess for receiving the pivotable lever 21 is provided in the frame or strike plate, the pivotable lever 21 remains in the retracted state when the door is closed. A mechanism of the latch lock 20 (not shown) blocks the latch 13 in the extended state when the pivotable lever 21 is retracted in the blocking position. The locking element 16, designed as a pin 19, locks the latch lock 20 in the locked state, so that the latch lock 20 can only be unlocked by opening the locking cylinder 15.
[0056] When the locking elements 16 are in the unlocked state and the keyless lock 17 is open, the latch 13 can be moved into the retracted state by means of the actuating device 14. However, when the locking elements 16 are in the locked state and the keyless lock 17 is open, the latch 13 cannot be moved into the retracted state by means of the actuating device 14.
[0057] The keyless lock 17 is a number combination lock 22 and has an input device 23 with number wheels 24. The number combination lock 22 can be opened by setting a sequence of numbers using the number wheels 24. If the locking elements 16 are in the unlocked state, the latch 13 can be moved into the retracted state using the actuating device 14. The doorknob 11 comprises a head 25 and a web 26. The actuating device 14 is designed as a ring 27 rotatable about the web 26. If the ring 27 is rotated about the web 26 when the locking elements 16 are in the unlocked state and the keyless lock 17 is open, the latch 13 is moved into the retracted state. This enables keyless opening of the door lock 100.
