Description

Lawn aerator forks for aerifying lawns or soil surfaces, of conventional design, have a rigid bottom element with prongs or spikes on the underside, which is connected to a handle. For manual aerification of lawn surfaces, gardens or golf courses, such lawn aerator forks are usually used to improve ventilation and water absorption of the soil. The invention disclosed in claim 1 is based on the problem of providing lawn aerator forks which both prevent the accumulation of dirt, leaves, soil or other foreign particles under the floor element and enable a quick and tool-free fastening of the handle. This problem is solved by the features set out in claims 1 to 4.The invention achieves that the bottom element of the lawn aeration fork remains free of foreign particles and thus a simpler, more rapid and lawn-preserving aerification is possible. In addition, the tool-free quick-action locking of the handle allows rapid assembly and disassembly, whereby the handling of the lawn aerator fork becomes substantially more comfortable and efficient.

Claims

A lawn aerator fork for aerifying lawn or soil surfaces, comprising a floor element which has prongs or spikes, characterised in that the floor element consists of two parts arranged one above the other and mechanically connected to one another, wherein the upper component carries the prongs and the lower component is vertically movable relative to the upper component.Lawn aerator fork according to claim 1, characterised in that the spring mechanism is designed such that when the fork is placed on the ground, the lower component is pressed in against the spring force and automatically lifts itself again from the upper part when it is lifted, whereby adhering foreign substances are stripped off from the prongs.Lawn aerator fork according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the handle can be connected to the appliance head by means of a tool-free quick-locking system, in particular a click or snap mechanism, whereby a quick assembly and disassembly of the handle is made possible.Lawn aerator fork according to claims 1, 2 and 3, characterised in that the lawn aerator fork comprises both a resiliently mounted, doubly designed base element and a toolless quick-action closure system for fastening the handle, wherein both features in combination enable efficient use and simple handling of the lawn aerator fork.
