Description

[0001] The invention relates to a burial urn.

[0002] Generally, state-of-the-art burial urns are known, for example, for holding the ashes of a deceased person or for containing an ash container inside. Such urns are available in many shapes and colors and made of different materials, but they bear little reference to the deceased and often have little personal connection.

[0003] Bereaved relatives often wish to decorate an urn according to their own wishes, at least for the funeral service and / or burial, or to add a commemorative, decorative or design element to give the urn a very personal touch. Close relatives in particular often want to ensure that a special memento remains close to the deceased in the long term, whether it is in the grave or in the urn niche of a columbarium. However, it is often the case that such objects can be placed in the grave, but there is the uncertainty that they could be displaced from the urn during the burial when other objects such as flowers or soil are scattered and thus removed. In the urn niche of a columbarium, relatives can only place their mementos next to the urn.

[0004] The object of the present invention is therefore to eliminate the aforementioned disadvantages and to further develop a burial urn in such a way that it can be individually designed according to the wishes of the relatives by easily equipping or decorating it with commemorative, decorative or design elements.

[0005] According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of claim 1. These provide a burial urn with a decorative ribbon with at least one integrated fastening loop. Flowers, small bouquets, twigs, paper rolls with messages, or elongated decorative elements, for example, can be inserted into the fastening loop. Memorabilia such as jewelry, decorative elements, crosses, medallions, figurines, keepsakes, toys, photos, and similar accessories can be attached and hung on the fastening loop.

[0006] The urns can have a rotationally symmetrical geometry or a box-shaped structure with a lid designed separately from the casing. Alternatively, other spatial shapes are also conceivable, such as elliptical burial urns and urns with spatial, free-form surfaces.

[0007] Preferably, the decorative band is positioned circumferentially in the cylindrical area on the side wall of the urn casing, and the fastening loop is arranged, in particular, on the front outer side of the burial urn. Depending on the urn casing's decoration, it may also be conceivable to position the fastening loop at a different location on the side wall or, in the case of box-shaped burial urns, on one or both side walls to avoid obscuring a special urn decoration.

[0008] Because the keepsake or decorative element is attached in or on the fastening loop close to the burial urn, it will not detach from it after the urn has been lowered into the urn grave or when soil or flowers are scattered on the urn.

[0009] The decorative ribbon and fastening loop can have a desired width and thickness. The decorative ribbon and fastening loop can be made of different materials and can be designed, labeled, or printed with different colors, patterns, or surfaces. The decorative ribbon and fastening loop can be made of biodegradable material. The decorative ribbon preferably has a self-adhesive backing film and a recess into which the fastening loop can be inserted.

[0010] The decorative ribbon can also be attached to the urn with double-sided tape, glue or eyelets, or it can be knotted, screwed on or attached in some other way.

[0011] It is also conceivable to use a magnetic tape or Velcro fastener to make it easy to remove the decorative ribbon if, for example, in the case of a burial in a forest cemetery, all non-biodegradable objects and decorations have to be removed after the funeral service.

[0012] Furthermore, several fastening loops can be incorporated into the decorative ribbon. Furthermore, several decorative ribbons, with or without fastening loops, can be used to decorate the burial urn as desired.

[0013] The decorative band can be arranged at any point on the side wall of the urn case, but preferably in an upper area from the lid to the middle of the side wall of the urn case, in order to provide sufficient space on the support surface of the urn base for the placement of decorative elements, mementos or similar.

[0014] The urn casing and / or the closure part can be made of any material, preferably including biodegradable material. The urn casing and the closure part can be made of the same material or different materials.

[0015] Further advantages and features of the invention emerge from the claims and the following description, in which exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in detail with reference to the drawings. In the drawings: Detailed description of the invention and drawing Fig. 1 shows a first representation of an urn from the front without decoration; Fig. 2 shows a partial perspective view of a decorative ribbon with a fastening loop; Fig. 3 shows an urn from behind with a decorative ribbon folded over it; Fig. 4 shows an urn from the front with a decorative ribbon folded over it and a flower inserted into a fastening loop; Fig. 5 shows an urn from the front with a decorative ribbon folded over it and a cross inserted into a fastening loop; Fig. 6 shows an urn from the front with a decorative ribbon wrapped around it and a cross inserted into a fastening loop as well as a second fastening loop with jewelry attached; Fig. 7 shows an urn from the front with a printed decorative ribbon folded over it and a cross inserted into a decorated fastening loop as well as a second fastening loop with a photo attached;

[0016] The Fig. Figure 1 shows a burial urn 1 for holding the ashes of a deceased person, comprising a container housing 2 and an urn lid 3 that can be placed thereon. A burial urn of rotationally symmetrical shape is shown as an example. However, the invention can also be used for burial urns of other geometries, such as those with a box-shaped or elliptical shape, as well as urns with three-dimensional, free-form surfaces. The urn lid 3, for example, is rather flat and incorporates the contour of the container housing 2, continuing it. However, other shapes are also conceivable. For example, the urn lid can be higher or it can be even flatter, like a thin plate.

[0017] The decorative band 4 according to the invention is partially Fig. 2. The decorative ribbon 4 is provided with a recess 7 through which a fastening loop 5 can be guided or threaded. The fastening loop ends 6 follow a certain length of the underside of the decorative ribbon to the right and left of the recess 7. The fastening loop protrudes through the recess 7 to the top of the decorative ribbon 4. Its length can be dimensioned as desired to accommodate decorative elements.

[0018] The underside of the decorative ribbon 4 is preferably self-adhesive, so that the fastening loop ends 6 can be placed on the underside of the decorative ribbon 4 after threading the fastening loop 5 and thus glued in place. However, it is also conceivable for the fastening loop ends 6 to be glued to the underside of the decorative ribbon 4. After threading the fastening loop, the decorative ribbon 4 is wrapped with its underside around a burial urn. The decorative ribbon 4 thus lies directly against the burial urn 1 with its underside, and the fastening loop 5 protrudes outwards through the decorative ribbon 4, away from the burial urn 1, without being too bulky.

[0019] The decorative ribbon 4 and the fastening loop 5 can have a desired width and thickness. For example, the decorative ribbon 4 can have a width of 1.5 to 10 cm; preferably, the decorative ribbon 4 has a width of 2 to 5 cm.

[0020] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 3, one end of the decorative ribbon 8 overlaps the second end of the decorative ribbon on the back of the urn. If the decorative ribbon is a self-adhesive film, the end of the decorative ribbon 8 is simply glued onto the second end of the decorative ribbon. Optionally, the decorative ribbon 4 can also be shorter than the circumference of the urn and thus not completely surround the urn's side wall.

[0021] The decorative ribbon 4 can also be attached to the urn using double-sided adhesive tape, glue, or eyelets. It is also conceivable that the decorative ribbon could be secured to the urn with knots, screws, or other methods.

[0022] If the decorative ribbon is to be removed after the funeral service, for example because in the case of a burial in a forest cemetery all non-biodegradable objects and decorations have to be removed after the funeral service, it is possible to make the decorative ribbon, for example, as a magnetic tape or to equip it with a Velcro fastener for temporary attachment.

[0023] If it were an urn with a different height distribution of casing and lid, for example if the lid element was designed to be very high, then it would also be conceivable that the decorative band (4) would not be attached to the urn casing, but to the lid.

[0024] Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 each show a burial urn 1, which according to the invention is provided with a decorative ribbon 4, into whose fastening loop 5 a flower as a decorative element 9 or a cross as a decorative element 9' has been inserted. Various decorative elements such as flowers, bouquets, crosses, branches, paper rolls with messages, or other elongated decorative elements and mementos can be inserted or hung in the fastening loop.

[0025] The Fig. 6 shows a further embodiment of the decorative ribbon 4 according to the invention with two fastening loops 5. A cross is inserted into the first fastening loop 5 as a decorative element 9'. A second decorative element 10 comprising a jewel consisting of two hearts is attached to the second fastening loop 5 by a fastening element 11. Using separate fastening elements 11 of any type, such as eyelets, hooks, cords, chains, ribbons, and the like, any mementos such as jewelry, decorative elements, crosses, medallions, figurines, toys, photos, and other accessories can be attached to a fastening loop 5.

[0026] Further design options are shown in the Fig.7 with a second decorative element 10' in the form of a souvenir photo, as well as a decorative ribbon 4 with a wood decor and a fastening loop 5 provided with small decorative stones. The decorative ribbon 4 and the fastening loop 5 can be made of different materials such as foil, paper, or fabric and can be designed, labeled, printed, embossed, or glued with decorative elements such as pearls, stones, glitter elements, or the like, and can also be made of biodegradable material.
