Newer and more powerful carburetors, however, have larger connection diameters, making them incompatible with the original design. [1] Design of an air intake device for mopeds, in particular SIMSON models S50, S51, S53 and S70, characterized by an intake flange (1) attached to the central part of the housing, into which a flexible, funnel-shaped intake sleeve (2) is inserted from the inside, wherein an O-ring (3) is arranged between the flange (1) and the intake sleeve (2) for sealing.
