Abstract
Description
[0001] Technical field
[0001] The invention relates to a compact light module for transmitting electrically or electronically generated frequency signals in the form of modulated light. The module is connected to an external frequency generator via a 3.5 mm audio cable and serves for the targeted application of light signals to surfaces or materials.
[0002] State of the art
[0002] LED applicators that emit constant or pulsed light are known from the state of the art. However, these devices are often mechanically fragile, use non-standard connectors, or do not allow direct coupling with commercially available frequency generators. Furthermore, robust mechanical stress relief for the internal cable connections is often lacking.
[0003] Object of the invention
[0003] The task is to provide a robust, handy and universally applicable light module that can be directly connected to an external frequency or signal device and outputs the transmitted frequencies as modulated light.
[0004] Solution of the problem
[0004] This problem is solved by a light module according to claim 1. The light module comprises a cylindrical aluminum housing (1) in the front of which at least one infrared diode (2) is arranged. The diode is connected to an external frequency generator via an audio jack cable (4) and outputs the electrical frequencies generated by the generator as a modulated light signal. A conductor structure with series resistors (3) adapts the input signal to the diode. An integrated strain relief (5) protects the solder joints. At the rear end, there is a cable gland (6) through which a connecting cable (7) with a 3.5 mm plug is routed.
[0005] Advantages of the invention - Compatible with standard frequency generators (3.5 mm plug) - Transmission of frequency patterns in the form of light modulation - High mechanical stability due to aluminum housing - Secure cable connection thanks to integrated strain relief - compact, handy pen shape - Robust, durable construction
[0006] Brief description of the drawing Fig. Figure 1 shows a schematic sectional view of an embodiment of the light module.
[0007] Exemplary embodiment
[0005] In a preferred embodiment, the light module has an aluminum housing (1) that contains the internal electronics. The infrared diode (2) located at the front is connected via a circuit board with series resistors (3) to the connecting cable (7), which is coupled to an external frequency generator via a 3.5 mm jack plug. The diode is electrically controlled directly by the input signal of the generator, so that the output frequencies can be transmitted as modulated light onto a surface. A strain relief (5) prevents mechanical stress on the solder joints, while the cable gland Reference list 1 - Aluminum housing (brushed)
