[0001] The invention relates to an auxiliary tool for door installation according to claim 1.
[0002] Doors mounted on hinges, especially interior doors, are typically attached using hinges. Hinges consist of two parts: the lower hinge and the upper hinge. The lower hinge is usually mounted to the door frame, while the upper hinge is attached to the door itself. Lighter doors are usually attached with just two hinges, spaced apart. Heavier doors often use three hinges. Removing a door, often called "taking it off its hinges," is generally straightforward. The door is simply lifted until the hinge parts separate and then set aside. Rehanging a door, however, is much more difficult. After lifting the door, the hinge parts must be precisely aligned before the door can be lowered into its operating position. This task becomes increasingly challenging with more hinges.If the door is hinged in a frame near a corner of the room, precisely aligning the hinge components can become a real test of patience. Heavy doors often require assistance. This person lifts the door and holds it in a raised position while the first person works on the adjustments.
