Description

[0001] The invention relates to a roll container for transporting fire-fighting and / or rescue equipment, in particular fire hoses, with a mobile base frame mounted on rollers, on which a superstructure delimiting a loading space is mounted, which superstructure is open or can be opened at least on one end side for unloading the loading space, and with a braking device assigned to at least part of the rollers, to which an operating device provided on the end side is assigned, which operating device has at least one operating rod extending across the width of the loading space, to which lateral holders provided on the superstructure are assigned.

[0002] Roll containers of this type are widely used in the fire service and rescue services and are therefore well known in practice. The roll containers are usually transported to the scene of the incident on a larger emergency vehicle and then moved further by hand. Unloading then takes place after the vehicle has reached its final position while stationary. However, unloading can also take place from the transport vehicle, particularly when carrying fire hoses. To accommodate large loads, the height of the loading area is often higher than the normal handle height of 80 to 100 cm, so that the operating rod(s) of the operating device associated with the braking system are located well below the upper end of the loading area.It can therefore happen that the operating rod(s) crossing the open or openable front unloading side of the cargo hold hinders the unloading process, resulting in valuable time being lost, which is particularly disadvantageous during firefighting and rescue operations. Loading the cargo hold via the open or openable front can also be hindered by the operating rod(s) crossing this front. The conventional arrangements mentioned above are therefore not user-friendly enough.

[0003] Based on this, it is therefore the object of the present invention to improve a roll container of the type mentioned at the outset while avoiding the disadvantages of the known arrangements in such a way that simple, uninterrupted unloading and loading is possible.

[0004] This object is achieved according to the invention in that each operating rod provided can be attached to the respective associated holders on the body side in a detachable manner without the need for tools.

[0005] These measures advantageously ensure a high level of operational and user-friendliness, thus avoiding unwanted time losses and ensuring rapid and orderly unloading even in urgent situations, which is usually the case during firefighting and rescue operations. The measures according to the invention therefore provide a particularly practical solution.

[0006] Advantageous embodiments and appropriate further developments of the overarching measures are specified in the subclaims.

[0007] As a rule, at least one operating rod is assigned a pivoting lever on the body side that interacts with the braking system. It can advantageously be provided that tabs projecting laterally from the operating rod can be releasably engaged with these holders. This results in a particularly practical solution.

[0008] In a further development, the pivot levers can each have a receiving channel defined by lateral guide rails, into which the associated tab on the operating rod side can be inserted and releasably secured by means of a spring-loaded locking element. The lateral guide rails advantageously provide a wobble-proof fit.

[0009] In a further improvement of the above measures, it can be provided that the locking element is designed as a bolt which is axially displaceable in a sleeve attached to the associated tab on the operating rod side, which bolt can be resiliently engaged with its front end region into an associated locking bore of the associated pivot lever and can be disengaged from the locking bore by means of a rotary movement through the interaction of a laterally projecting handle provided on its rear end projecting from the sleeve with a link formed on the free end of the sleeve.

[0010] A further useful measure may be that the link has a locking notch associated with the disengaged position of the bolt for the laterally projecting handle, so that the axially displaceable bolt is advantageously fixed in the disengaged position.

[0011] Advantageously, a retaining device for captively retaining each removed control rod can also be provided on the superstructure containing the cargo space. This ensures that no control rod can be lost in the heat of battle.

[0012] An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. The drawing shows: Fig. 1 a perspective view of a roller sunshade according to the invention from the operating side and Fig. 2 the detail A in Fig. 1 in enlarged view.

[0013] The Fig. The roll container 1 underlying this example consists of a base frame 2, here designed as a frame construction, which can be mounted on three or four rollers 3. Mounted on the base frame 2 is a superstructure 5 defining a loading space 4 for equipment, which is open or can be opened at least at one end of the superstructure 5 for loading and unloading. In the example shown, an open end is provided. However, it would also be conceivable to assign a removable net, etc., to this end for opening. The open end is also the operating side of the roll container, from which it is moved and manipulated.

[0014] At least some of the rollers 3 are assigned a braking device (not shown in detail here), to which an operating device 6 is assigned, which interacts with the latter via rods and / or cables, etc. and is located in the area of the open or openable front side of the body 5, which functions as the operating side. The operating device 6 has at least one operating rod 8 which crosses the associated front side of the body 5 and is held on lateral holders provided on the body, here in the form of pivot levers 7, by means of which the brakes assigned to the rollers 3, which are generally designed as dead man's brakes, can be released. In the example shown, only one operating rod 8, which is held on the pivot levers 7, is provided. However, a second, fixed operating rod acting as a counter-holder could also be provided.

[0015] In the example shown, the height of the superstructure 5 is higher than the usual operating height of 80 to 100 cm to create a high loading space 4. The operating rod 8, which is arranged at operating height, is accordingly located at a distance below the upper end of the superstructure 5 and therefore crosses the open front of the superstructure 5 at a distance from its upper end. To avoid disrupting the loading or unloading process of the loading space 4, the operating rod 8, which is arranged at a distance below the upper end of the superstructure 5, is designed to be removable. Here, only one removable operating rod 8 is provided. In cases where several operating rods are provided, all are removable.

[0016] In the example shown, the operating rod 8, as best seen from Fig.2, are provided at their ends with laterally projecting tabs 9 which can be brought into releasable engagement with a respective parallel pivoting lever 7 provided on the body side and acting as a holder, whereby a reliable coupling is achieved.

[0017] The pivot levers 7 provided on the body side can be U-shaped in cross-section, resulting in lateral guide rails 10 that define a receiving channel into which the associated tab 9 on the operating rod side can be inserted, thus achieving a wobble-proof positive connection. The inserted tab 9 can be releasably locked to the associated pivot lever 7 by means of a spring-loaded bolt 11.

[0018] The spring-loaded bolt 11, which acts as a locking element, is arranged so as to be axially displaceable in a sleeve 12 attached to the associated tab 9 on the operating rod side, and its front end region can be resiliently engaged in a detent bore (not shown in detail) of the associated pivot lever 7. To retract the bolt 11 against the axial spring arranged in the sleeve 12 and cooperating with it, a guide rail 13 is provided which is formed onto the rear, free end of the sleeve 12 and against which a handle 14 protrudes laterally from the rear end of the bolt 11 protruding from the sleeve 12 rests. The guide rail 13 has an axial pitch so that, in the event of rotation, the bolt 11 is retracted in the axial direction through the interaction of its handle 14 with the guide rail 13. To secure the bolt 11 in the retracted position, a locking notch 15 is provided in the area of the upper apex of the link 13, into which the handle 14 can engage.

[0019] Because the locking element, designed as an axially displaceable bolt 11, is brought into its locking position by an associated axial spring and can be retracted from the locking position by the interaction of the arm-shaped handle 14 with the slotted guide 13, against which it rests due to the action of the spring, so that the locking is released, simple, tool-free attachment or removal of the relevant operating rod 8 is possible. To do this, the arm-shaped handle 14 only needs to be rotated along the slotted guide 13 by means of the handle 14 and moved along the slotted guide 13 from the lower peak position to the upper peak position defined by the notch 15 and vice versa, whereby the desired axial movement of the bolt 11 is achieved.

[0020] To ensure that a removed operating rod 8 is not misplaced or lost, a receiving device can be provided for it. This can, for example, be one or more spring-loaded locking clips attached to the body 5. In the example shown, a box 16 arranged on the body 5 is indicated for this purpose, in which the removed operating rod 8 or rods can be stored securely.
