Description

[0001] The invention relates to a container clamping system with an outlet opening for bulk material and a filter device with the container clamping system. Furthermore, the invention relates to a system with the filter device and a robot.

[0002] When filling bulk material from a filter device, a container for holding the bulk material is usually located at a discharge opening formed in a housing of the filter device. In the prior art, the container is clamped against a fixed seal on the housing, for example using an eccentric clamp that creates an upward stroke of the container. To replace or empty the container, it is released and moved downwards, which eliminates the contact pressure and detaches the container from the seal. When clamping the container, there is a risk of misuse or assembly errors. In addition, leaks can occur and the container is often subject to considerable wear.

[0003] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a container clamping system, a filter device, and a system that simplify the handling of a container for holding bulk material for a filter device, particularly during a container change. Furthermore, the object of the invention is to prevent assembly errors and misuse during container changes, reduce wear, and prevent leaks between the container and the filter device.

[0004] A container clamping system according to the invention for a filter device comprises a base plate extending in an outlet plane and forming an outlet opening for bulk material. A channel surrounding the outlet opening is arranged on the base plate. An inflatable seal is arranged at least partially within the channel. The seal is arranged such that, upon inflation, the seal expands in a main direction that runs transversely to the outlet plane, in particular, essentially orthogonally to the outlet plane.

[0005] The base plate, in particular, allows the container clamping system to be attached to a housing of the filter device. An outlet opening is formed in the base plate through which bulk and free-flowing material can exit the filter device. The base plate extends essentially in an outlet plane. The inflatable seal is arranged at least partially within the channel on the base plate. Upon inflation, the seal expands in a main direction that is essentially orthogonal to the outlet plane.

[0006] The container clamping system according to the invention allows, in particular, autonomous or automatic container exchange. Furthermore, the container system according to the invention reduces the susceptibility to errors and extends the service life of the filter device. In addition, the container clamping system demonstrates, in particular, high precision and repeatability. In some embodiments, only a few individual parts are required, which prevents assembly errors.

[0007] The filter device according to the invention has a container clamping system according to the invention. The system according to the invention comprises a filter device according to the invention and a robot. The system serves in particular for the automated replacement of the container on the filter device with the aid of the robot.

[0008] The fact that the main direction is substantially orthogonal to the exit plane means that the main direction forms an angle of approximately 90° with the exit plane or approximately corresponds to the orientation of the normal vector of the exit plane. In particular, a gap may be present between the container clamping system and a container positioned below it in the main direction. Moving the seal in the main direction can, in particular, close the gap and seal the container against the container clamping system.

[0009] The inflatable seal has at least two states: a relaxed (deflated) and a tensioned (inflated) state. In the relaxed state, the seal is either empty of air or filled with air or another gas at a first pressure. The first pressure can be, for example, the ambient air pressure. In the tensioned state, the seal is inflated, i.e., filled with air or another gas at a second pressure. The second pressure is higher than the first pressure. When the seal is inflated, the container, provided it is correctly positioned beneath the filter device, is preferably tensioned against the seal.

[0010] The seal is particularly elastic. Preferably, the seal comprises or consists of an elastomer. A position of the container in which the container is positioned below the filter device is referred to as the working position if, upon possible inflation of the seal, an airtight seal against the outside atmosphere is created. In the working position of the container, such an airtight seal can be created by tensioning the seal.

[0011] The base plate preferably has a top side and a bottom side. The channel is preferably arranged on the bottom side. The base plate can be designed in particular such that bulk material from the filter device can pass from the top side through the outlet opening to the bottom side.

[0012] The container clamping system is preferably configured such that, when properly installed, the upper side of the base plate is in contact with a housing of the filter device. The base plate can then be attached to the housing of the filter device from the outside. The base plate is preferably attachable or attached to the filter device with its upper side.

[0013] If desired, the base plate can also be configured such that its underside is in contact with a housing of the filter device. The base plate can then be attached or can be attached to the housing of a filter device from the inside. In special cases, it may even be advantageous to form the base plate integrally with the housing of the filter device, for example by welding the base plate to the filter housing, for example in an area where a hatch of the filter housing is present, or by forming a wall of the filter housing such that the housing wall forms the base plate with the discharge opening formed therein.

[0014] The base plate attached to the housing of the filter device forms a discharge opening for bulk material. The bulk material can, in particular, be material cleaned from the filter elements of the filter device. This material accumulates on the filter elements on the raw fluid side during operation of the filter device and falls off the filter elements during recurring cleaning cycles and is collected in the container.

[0015] The base plate is, in particular, substantially circular. Alternatively, the base plate may take on other shapes; in particular, the base plate may have an oval or polygonal shape.

[0016] The outlet opening is, in particular, essentially circular, but other shapes—such as an oval or polygonal outlet opening—are also possible. The shape of the outlet opening is, in particular, adapted to the design of the filter device with which the container clamping system is used.

[0017] In addition to the outlet opening, the base plate has one or more fastening openings, in particular for fastening the container clamping system to a housing of the filter device. The container clamping system can be screwed or otherwise secured to the housing of the filter device, in particular via the additional openings.

[0018] In particular, the base plate has one or more limiting elements. The limiting elements are in particular attached to the underside of the base plate. For example, the limiting elements are arranged on one side of the outlet opening, but another side has no limiting elements. Preferably, the limiting elements limit the position of the container. For example, the container can be positioned under the filter device coming from a certain direction, so that the container is preferably in the working position. However, the limiting elements prevent, in particular, the container from being positioned under the filter device coming from a certain other direction. In addition, the limiting elements can preferably prevent the container from being moved or pushed too far when positioning it.In this way, the limiting elements can simplify the correct positioning of the container in the working position under the filter device.

[0019] In particular, the channel surrounding the outlet opening has a bottom, an inner side wall, and an outer side wall. The inner side wall is closer to the outlet opening than the outer side wall. If, for example, the channel surrounds the outlet opening in a circle, the inner side wall of the channel is located radially inward and the outer side wall is located radially outward. The bottom of the channel faces the base plate. It can, for example, be adjacent to the base plate or even be formed by the base plate.

[0020] The channel preferably has a substantially rectangular or U-shaped cross-section. In the case of a substantially rectangular cross-section, the bottom is flat, and the inner and outer side walls are arranged substantially at right angles to the bottom of the channel. Accordingly, in the case of a U-shaped cross-section, the bottom is curved, in particular arched toward the base plate. The side walls of the U-shaped cross-section are arranged substantially parallel to one another. In particular, other cross-sections of the channel are also possible, whereby the cross-section of the channel can be adapted to the shape of the seal.

[0021] Specifically, the bottom of the channel is a portion or region of the bottom surface of the base plate. Since in this case the bottom surface of the base plate provides a floor for the channel, only the side walls of the channel need to be created to manufacture the channel.

[0022] In particular, the bottom of the channel is arranged in such a way that the bottom rests against the underside of the base plate. In this case, the channel bottom is in contact with the underside, which can create a particularly stable channel.

[0023] In addition to the channel floor and the side walls, the channel particularly has a fourth side of the channel, where the channel is open. The open side of the channel is particularly located opposite the bottom of the channel. This allows the seal to extend at least partially beyond the side walls of the channel during inflation, away from the floor in the main direction, through the open side, and exit the channel.

[0024] An insertion element can be arranged on the underside of the base plate, surrounding the outlet opening. The insertion element can facilitate positioning of the container and / or improve the discharge of bulk material. The insertion element can taper in the main direction; in particular, the insertion element can be a downwardly tapered conical section.

[0025] In particular, the container clamping system comprises a ring with a top side and a bottom side. The ring is inserted into the channel and extends within the channel around the outlet opening. The ring rests, in particular, with its top side on the bottom of the channel. Preferably, the ring is a sheet metal ring, in particular made of sheet steel. In particular, the ring is arranged between the seal and the bottom of the channel.

[0026] The ring has several studs, particularly on its top side. The studs can be used to secure the ring to the bottom of the channel. For this purpose, the bottom of the channel can have corresponding openings through which the studs can be inserted.

[0027] The seal is specifically attached to the underside of the ring. This can make replacing the seal particularly easy, as the ring can be replaced together with the seal, eliminating the need to remove the seal from the channel.

[0028] In particular, the seal is glued to the ring. Gluing the seal to the ring can create a particularly durable and long-lasting connection. Using the ring can make replacing the glued seal particularly easy, as the seal can be replaced along with the ring.

[0029] In one embodiment, the container clamping system does not have a ring. In this case, the studs can, for example, be attached directly to the seal. The studs can, in particular, be vulcanized onto the seal. Other methods of attaching the seal to the container clamping system are also possible, for example, by gluing or mechanical fastening.

[0030] The seal is particularly electrically conductive. This allows a container to be grounded via the filter device's container clamping system and eliminates the need for a separate grounding system.

[0031] In some embodiments, the seal is food-grade compliant, which may enable use of the filter device in food-grade environments.

[0032] The container clamping system comprises, in particular, a pneumatic switching element for pressurizing and venting the seal. The switching element can be designed, for example, as a valve or a pneumatic cock. The valve can, in particular, be a 5 / 2-way valve or two 2 / 2-way valves. The pneumatic cock can, in particular, be a 3-way ball valve. The seal can be inflated via the pneumatic switching element. The seal can be filled and / or emptied with compressed air or another gas via a valve and / or cock.

[0033] The seal is in particular configured such that a path that the seal travels in the main direction between a deflated state and an inflated state is at least 1.5 cm. In particular, the path is at least 0.5 cm, preferably at least 1 cm, preferably at least 1.5 cm, preferably at least 2 cm and particularly preferably at least 3 cm. In particular, the path is a maximum of 5 cm, preferably a maximum of 4 cm, preferably a maximum of 3 cm and particularly preferably a maximum of 2.5 cm. The path that the seal travels in the main direction between the two states can, for example, serve to bridge a gap between the container and the filter device or container clamping system. The gap to be bridged when the seal is relaxed is in particular wide enough to position the container under the filter device and to remove it.The seal closes the gap between the container clamping system and the container, preferably airtight, when the seal is inflated or tensioned.

[0034] The fact that the main direction is substantially orthogonal to the exit plane means in particular that the main direction forms an angle between 70° and 110°, preferably between 80° and 100° and particularly preferably between 85° and 95° with the exit plane.

[0035] The container that can be used in conjunction with the filter device according to the invention can have a substantially cylindrical shape. However, other container shapes are also possible. When correctly positioned, the inflated seal rests particularly against the upper edge or rim of the container and ensures an airtight seal against the outside environment. The container is particularly adapted to the shape of the seal. The container can be intended for single or multiple use. The container can be made of cardboard, plastic, and / or metal, or can have a mixed configuration of these materials.

[0036] In some embodiments, the filter device has a finger-pinching protection device. For this purpose, the container clamping system, in cooperation with the container, is configured in particular such that the pinching of a finger between the container and the container clamping system is prevented or made more difficult.

[0037] In particular, the filter device has a carrying device such as a pedestal or a trolley or roller board, wherein the container can be positioned on the carrying device. The carrying device can have feet, rollers and / or runners or the like. The container can in particular be connected to the carrying device. Alternatively, the carrying device can be provided such that the container is placed on the carrying device without the container and carrying device being connected to one another. The carrying device can in particular be shaped such that a transport device, for example a pallet truck, a forklift truck or a robot, interacts with the carrying device in order to move a container standing on the carrying device. For example, the support device may have side openings to allow the forks of a pallet truck or a forklift truck - with or without a driver - to enter the support device, then lift the support device, in particular the platform, and transport the support device away from or towards the filter device.

[0038] The filter device can, in particular, comprise a container. The container is preferably adapted to the shape of the container clamping system.

[0039] The filter device can have a gas tank, for example a pressure cylinder, and / or a compressor. The gas tank allows, for example, the storage of gas, such as air or CO2. To inflate the seal, the gas can be fed from the gas tank into the seal, for example with the help of manual or automatic valves. The compressor is in particular designed and arranged such that it can inflate the inflatable seal. In particular, such a compressor can additionally relieve pressure on the seal. The compressor can be arranged inside or outside the filter device or be separate from the rest of the filter device.

[0040] In particular, the filter device is configured such that, when the seal is relaxed, a gap exists between the seal and the upper edge of the container, provided the container is in the working position. The height of the filter device, the height of the container, possibly including the support device or pedestal, and the shape of the relaxed seal are preferably coordinated such that, when the seal is relaxed, a gap exists between the seal and the container. The gap is formed at least partially in the main direction. The gap is preferably large enough to place a container under the filter device and to remove it again.

[0041] The filter device is configured in particular such that, when the container is correctly positioned in the working position, it is hermetically sealed from the outside environment by the tensioned seal. If the container is correctly positioned beneath the filter device and the shape of the container is matched to the filter device, the seal, in its tensioned state, preferably seals the container hermetically from the outside environment. This can, in particular, prevent pollutants filtered out of the air from escaping from the container.

[0042] The container, in particular, has a receptacle for a pallet truck, a forklift, and / or a robot. The container can thus be removed and / or replaced, for example, using mechanical means or automatically. The receptacle can, for example, be shaped such that the forks of a forklift can be inserted into the container to lift it.

[0043] In particular, the container can be mounted on a pallet. The container can, for example, be mounted on a wooden pallet so that it can be removed and / or replaced using mechanical means or automated.

[0044] The filter device, in particular, has a fill level sensor that measures the fill level of the container. The fill level sensor can determine the fill level of the container, for example, using ultrasound, microwaves, or lasers. The fill level sensor can, in particular, determine how full the container is.

[0045] In particular, the filter device comprises at least one position sensor. The position sensor is configured to measure and / or monitor the position of the container. The at least one position sensor can comprise, for example, mechanical, electrical, optical, or ultrasonic sensors. In particular, the at least one position sensor can be a mechanical switch, an induction coil, an optical light barrier, an infrared sensor, a TOF rangefinder, and / or a camera.

[0046] The filter device comprises, in particular, an evaluation unit configured to query a measured value from the fill level sensor and / or a position of the container. The evaluation unit can, in particular, perform certain actions depending on the fill level and / or position of the container.

[0047] The evaluation unit of the filter device is configured in such a way that, when the measured value is exceeded, a signal is issued to replace the container. This signal can be an acoustic or visual signal, for example. This can warn the user that the container needs to be replaced or emptied.

[0048] The evaluation unit of the filter device is also configured, in particular, to monitor the position of the container using the position sensors and / or to perform steps depending on the monitored position. If the container is in the correct or incorrect position, the evaluation unit can output this, for example, via a visual or acoustic signal and / or display it on a screen.

[0049] The filter device comprises, in particular, a communication unit, wherein the communication unit and / or the evaluation unit are configured such that the signal for changing the container and / or the position of the container is transmitted via the communication unit, either wired or wirelessly. The filter device can be connected to a central control unit or a central processing unit, which evaluates the signal and, in particular, automatically performs actions triggered by the signal.

[0050] The system according to the invention comprises a filter device according to the invention and a robot for changing containers.

[0051] The system is specifically configured to: - to drive the robot to the filter device; - to relax the seal; - the container is removed from the filter device by the robot.

[0052] In particular, the system is configured to perform the aforementioned steps when the container change signal is generated. This allows a full container to be removed automatically.

[0053] For example, upon receiving the signal, a robot moves to the filter device. The filter device or another part of the system, in particular, relaxes the seal at some point before, during, or after the robot moves to the filter device. The robot can then remove the container from the filter device.

[0054] The system is specifically configured to: - the robot places the container under the filter device; and - inflate the seal.

[0055] In this way, a new or emptied container can be automatically placed under the filter device. In some cases, the container can be placed and the seal inflated immediately after the container is removed. However, placement and inflation can also be performed without the container having been removed immediately beforehand.

[0056] In particular, the system can perform the steps of removing the container from the working position and positioning a new container in the working position in immediate succession. This allows for high availability of the filter device.

[0057] The system's robot can, in particular, be a driverless forklift. The container can be positioned on the support device, platform, or pallet, allowing the forklift to drive its forks into the support device, platform, or pallet and remove the container. Accordingly, the forklift can place the new or emptied container upright on the support device, platform, or pallet, underneath the filter device.

[0058] All advantages and embodiments explained above with reference to the container clamping system also apply to the filter device and the system and will not be explained again to avoid repetition.

[0059] The invention is described in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown schematically in the accompanying figures. These are for illustrative purposes only and do not in any way limit the scope of the invention as it results from the claims. Fig. 1 a perspective view of the filter device with the container clamping system according to the invention and the container; Fig. 2a and Fig. 2b the base plate of the container clamping system in a sectional view with relaxed or tensioned seal; Fig. 3 the container and the container clamping system with the base plate, the ring and the seal; Fig. 4a and Fig. 4b the container with container clamping system in a sectional view with relaxed or tensioned seal; Fig. 5 the filter device in a perspective view with a lifting truck inserted into a platform under the container; and Fig. 6 the filter device in a perspective view with the driverless forklift, with the forks of the forklift retracted into the platform under the container.

[0060] The Fig. Figure 1 shows a filter device 1 according to the invention in an exemplary embodiment with a container clamping system 2 arranged on the filter device 1. The container clamping system 2 contacts a container 14 positioned below the filter device 1 on a pedestal 17. The pedestal 17 has feet 18 with which the pedestal 17 contacts the ground below the filter device 1.

[0061] The Fig. 2a and Fig. 2b show a section through the container clamping system 2 in an exemplary embodiment. A base plate 5 of the container clamping system 2 has a top side 6 and a bottom side 7. The base plate 5 is attached to the filter device 1 with its top side 6. On the bottom side 7 of the base plate 5 there is a channel 8 which runs around an outlet opening 9. The channel 8 has a radially inner side wall 10 and a radially outer side wall 11 with respect to a center point of the outlet opening 9. The side walls 10, 11 are arranged essentially orthogonally to the plane of the base plate 5. The bottom 12 of the channel 8 is part of the bottom side 7 of the base plate 5. In particular, the channel bottom 12 here is the part of the bottom side 7 of the base plate 5 that lies between the two side walls 10, 11. The channel 11 is open downwards towards its fourth side. Fig. 2a shows a relaxed seal 16, which lies completely within the channel 8. Below the seal 16 in Fig. 2a shows a container 14, wherein there is a gap of at least 2 cm between an upper edge of the container 14 and the relaxed seal 16.

[0062] Fig. Figure 2a further shows an insertion element 30, which is designed as a cone here. The insertion element 30 surrounds the outlet opening 9 on the underside 7 of the base plate 5. In some embodiments, the insertion element tapers in the main direction and is, in particular, shaped as a conical section. The insertion element 30 can facilitate the positioning of the container 14 and / or improve the discharge of bulk material.

[0063] In Fig. 2b, the seal 16 is shown in its inflated, tensioned state. The inflated seal 16 has expanded compared to its relaxed state in Fig. 2a in a main direction H, wherein the main direction H is substantially orthogonal to the exit plane in which the base plate 5 extends. In Fig. 2b, the seal 16 is in contact with the upper edge of the container 14, so that the seal 16 hermetically seals the container 14 from the outside atmosphere.

[0064] The Fig. 3 shows the container 14 for the filter device 1 according to the invention, which stands on a pedestal 17, in an exemplary embodiment. The pedestal 17 is made, for example, of sheet metal and has a plurality of feet 18. Prongs 24 of a forklift 19 can be pushed between the feet 18 of the pedestal 17. In this way, the container 14 can be transported away with the aid of the forklift 19. Above the container 14, the base plate 5 can be seen, which has the outlet opening 9 and numerous fastening openings 20. The base plate 5 also has at least one limiting element 21 that can facilitate the positioning of the container 14. The limiting element 21 prevents the container 14 from being pushed in from the wrong side. Furthermore, the limiting element 21 prevents the container 14 from being pushed too far when it is positioned under the filter device 1.Below the base plate 5, a ring 22 can be seen. This ring is made of sheet metal and has upward-facing studs 23. The ring 22 is manufactured in such a way that it can be inserted into the channel 8 of the base plate 5, so that it rests directly on the bottom 12 of the channel 8. The studs 23 protrude into or through the fastening openings 20 in the bottom 12 of the channel 8. The ring 22 can be fastened to the bottom 12 of the channel 8 using the studs 23. The seal 16 can be seen below the ring 22. When installed, the seal 16 is glued to the ring 22. If the seal 16 needs to be replaced, the entire ring 22 with seal 16 can be replaced. This avoids the need to remove the seal 16 from the adhesive when the seal 16 needs to be replaced.

[0065] The Fig. 4a and Fig. 4b show the container 14 on the pedestal 17 in an exemplary embodiment in a sectional view. The base plate 5 with outlet opening 9 and fastening openings 20 is shown in Fig. 4a and Fig. 4b. Within channel 8 in Fig. 4a, the relaxed seal 16 is arranged. A gap exists between the container 14 and the seal 16 in Fig. 4a. In Fig. Figure 4b shows the state after the seal 16 has been inflated or tensioned. Due to the inflation, the seal 16 has moved downward out of the channel 8 in the main direction H, essentially orthogonal to the plane of the base plate 5. In doing so, the seal 16 has bridged the previously existing gap between the container 14 and the seal 16, so that the container 14 is hermetically sealed against the outside atmosphere.

[0066] The Fig. 5 shows the filter device 1 according to the invention, beneath which the container 14 is arranged, in an exemplary embodiment. The container 14 stands on the platform 17. The prongs 24 of a lifting truck 25 are inserted between the feet 18 of the platform 17. As soon as the seal 16 is released, the lifting truck 25 can be raised and the container 14 with the platform 17 can be removed. Connecting a new container 14 to the filter device 1 proceeds in the reverse order. The container 14 with the platform 17 is positioned beneath the filter device 1 with the aid of the raised lifting truck 25, while the seal 16 is released. The limiting elements 21 prevent the container 14 from being pushed too far. The lifting truck 25 is then lowered and the seal 16 is tightened. In this way, the new container 14 is connected to the filter device 1 in an airtight manner.

[0067] The Fig. Figure 6 shows the system with the filter device 1 and a robot designed as an autonomous or automatic, driverless forklift 26. Similar to the lift truck 25 in Fig.5, the forks 24 of the forklift truck 26 are pushed into the platform 17 beneath the container 14. To pick up the full container 14, the driverless forklift truck 26 moves its forks 24 into the platform 17, the filter device 1 then relaxes the seal 16, the forklift truck 26 lifts the platform 17 and removes with the full container 14. The forklift truck 26 then brings a new, empty container 14 and places it precisely beneath the filter device 1. The limiting elements 21 of the base plate 5 assist in positioning the new container 14. The filter device 1 tightens the seal 16, creating an airtight connection between the filter device 1 and the container 14. The container change is thus complete. The prior art manual method for changing containers, in which the container 14 is manually lifted using an eccentric mechanism in order to press it against a rigid seal and thus seal the container 14, is not very suitable for full automation. The present method can dispense with manual steps and can thus be fully automated in conjunction with a driverless forklift 26. For this purpose, for example, a fill level sensor (for example, radar, ultrasound, or optical, in particular laser) can monitor whether the container 14 is filled above a predetermined level. In this case, a signal is transmitted to a central computer. The central computer then instructs the driverless forklift 26 to pick up the container 14. In an alternative embodiment, the filter device 1 can communicate directly with the forklift 26.When the forklift truck 26 is in a specific position on the filter device 1, the filter device 1 releases the seal 16. The forklift truck 26 then drives its forks 24 into the platform 17 or into the pallet on which the container 14 is standing. The forklift truck 26 then lifts the container 14 and removes the container 14 from the filter device 1. The same or a different forklift truck 26 can then transport a new container 14 to the filter device 1. Once the container 14 has been placed in the correct position under the filter device 1, the filter device 1 tightens the seal 16 and the container change is complete. Optionally, further features are implemented on the filter device 1. For example, the filter device 1 has a device that checks whether the new container 14 is in the correct position before the seal 16 is tightened. The position of the container 14 beneath the filter device 1 can be determined, for example, optically, by camera or laser. Furthermore, in some embodiments, it can be measured whether the container 14 is hermetically sealed against the outside atmosphere. Furthermore, in some embodiments, the integrity of the seal 16 can be monitored. This can be done, for example, via pressure measurements within the tensioned seal 16. If a pressure drop in the inflated seal 16 exceeds a certain predetermined threshold, a signal can be issued to replace the seal.
