Abstract
Description
Backpack Air Heat Exchanger Surface Multiplier for Heat Pumps (1) Low thermal conductivity / capacity of air negatively affects the performance and reliability of heat pumps. Excessive energy extraction relative to the exchanger surface area in the refrigeration circuit is the cause. The invention (1) aims to reduce the energy extraction per unit of exchanger surface area in the refrigeration circuit of heat pumps to a fraction of its original value. Thus, (1) acts as both a source enhancer and an ice preventer, thereby significantly improving the performance and reliability of air source heat pumps. (1) is mounted on the existing heat exchanger (refrigeration circuit) like a backpack and can therefore be easily retrofitted during operation. (1) must be dimensioned to prevent icing and increase the source utilization rate. The heat exchanger plates (Fig. 1, Fig. 2) must be designed and installed to ensure thermal contact with the existing heat exchanger (refrigeration circuit). Optionally, a brine coil circuit (Fig. 1, Fig. 3) can be provided to actively supply and remove heat energy. This brine version (Fig. 1, Fig. 3) can be used as an additional heat source on the compressed air side (exhaust air) opposite (Fig. 1, Fig. 1).
Claims
Backpack air heat exchanger surface multiplier for heat pumps (1) characterized in that (1) is placed on air heat pumps like a backpack. (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the heat exchanger plates (Fig. 1, Fig. 2) are designed and installed in such a way that thermal contact with the existing heat exchanger (refrigeration circuit) exists. (1) according to claim 1 characterized in that the energy extraction per exchanger surface unit in the refrigeration circuit of the air heat pumps is reduced to a fraction and thus acts as a source enhancer and ice preventer, which significantly improves the performance and reliability of the air heat pumps. (1) according to claim 1 characterized in that a brine register circuit ( Fig. 1 , Fig. 3 ) is optionally provided to actively supply and remove heat energy. (1) according to claim 1 characterized in that the version equipped with brine register circuit ( Fig. 1 , Fig. 3 ) is optionally used as an additional heat source on the compressed air side (exhaust air) opposite ( Fig. 1 , Fig. 1 ). (1) according to claim 1 characterized in that air heat pumps can be removed and retrofitted.
