Abstract

Device (1) for supporting overhead work, comprising an elongated hollow body (10) in which a spring (50) is attached, wherein the elongated hollow body (10) is slidably held relative to a further elongated hollow body (20) and the spring (50) can be tensioned or released by displacing the elongated hollow body (10), wherein a further elongated hollow body (30) is provided which is directly or indirectly connected to a connecting element (42) for attaching a tool holder (2), wherein the elongated hollow body (10) and the further elongated hollow body (30) are designed to be pluggable into one another.
