Lighting unit (10, 20) comprising: a rail; a printed circuit board (12a, 12b, 12c, 22) which is attached to the rail (11, 21) by means of a mounting layer (19, 23), wherein a first surface (24) of the printed circuit board (12a, 12b, 12c, 22) has a plurality of LEDs; and wherein the distance between the printed circuit board (12a, 12b, 12c, 22) and the rail (11, 21) is greater than 0.2 mm, and / or less than 55% of the second surface (25) of the printed circuit board (12a, 12b, 12c, 22) facing the rail (11, 21) is covered with a metallic layer.
