AI Technical Summary
Existing wall-mounted housing designs require tool-operated adjusting screws, which can be inconvenient and limit user flexibility in adjusting the distance between the housing and the wall.
A spacer device with an elongated slot and a pin mechanism, where the slot runs parallel to the underside and obliquely to the back of the body, allowing for manual adjustment of the distance between the rail and the body without tools, utilizing an inclined plane for easy adjustment.
Enables easy and tool-free adjustment of the distance between the housing and the wall, providing a more user-friendly and efficient method compared to traditional screw-driven systems, while maintaining a horizontal compressive force for secure contact.
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a wall-mounted housing according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
[0002] A piece of furniture similar to the wall-mounted cabinet of the type mentioned above is known, for example, from document DE 21 28 940 A1. This consists of a wall-mounted piece of furniture comprising a body to be suspended from a wall and a spacer device adjustably mounted on the body and in contact with the wall for adjusting a distance between the body and the wall. The spacer device has a rail, and connecting elements are provided for connecting the rail to the body.
[0003] Furthermore, from the document DE 30 11 787 A1 a housing is known which consists of a body to be suspended from a wall and a distance holding device which is adjustable on the body and in contact with the wall (see there "suspension part 11") for adjusting a distance between the body and the wall.
[0004] Also known are simple adjusting or eccentric screws that can also be adjusted with a screwdriver.
[0005] The invention is based on the object of improving a wall-mounted housing of the type mentioned above. In particular, a wall-mounted housing with a spacer device that can be operated without tools is to be created.
[0006] This object is achieved with a wall-mounted housing of the type mentioned at the outset by the features listed in the characterising part of patent claim 1.
[0007] According to the invention, it is therefore provided that one of the connecting elements is designed as an elongated slot, that the slot runs along a first straight line which in turn is designed to run parallel to the underside of the body on the one hand and obliquely to the rear of the body on the other hand when the body is in the suspended position, that another of the connecting elements is designed as a pin passing through the slot and that the pin runs along a second straight line which in turn is designed to run parallel to the rear of the body on the one hand and perpendicular to the underside of the body on the other hand when the body is in the suspended position.
[0008] In other words, the solution according to the invention is characterized by the fact that it completely dispenses with adjusting or eccentric screws that can only be operated with a screwdriver and instead uses a mechanism with the aid of which the distance of a rail to the body (and thus the distance between the body and the wall) can be easily adjusted by hand and without tools using an inclined plane.
[0009] Other advantageous developments of the wall-mounted housing according to the invention emerge from the dependent patent claims.
[0010] For the sake of completeness, reference is also made to the following documents: Document DD 243 853 A1 describes a hanging adjustment fitting that can be used to adjust the height of a piece of furniture. The distance between the piece of furniture and the wall cannot be adjusted with this fitting.
[0011] From document AT 398 270 B, a furniture fitting is known with which the distance between a piece of furniture to be hung and a wall can be adjusted. However, here the piece of furniture is hooked into a rail or a wall-mounted hook via a hook of the furniture fitting, whereby the piece of furniture exerts a vertical force on the rail or the wall-mounted hook and not a horizontal compressive force, as described again below. Furthermore, the hook of the furniture fitting in this document is adjusted using a screw. Thus, as is usual with screws, a rotational movement is converted into a translational movement with the use of a tool. This is in contrast to the present invention, in which a translational movement of the rail parallel to the wall is converted into a translational movement of the piece of furniture perpendicular to it without the use of tools, like the effect of an inclined plane. These differences allow the distance between the piece of furniture and the wall to be adjusted very easily with the solution according to the invention.
[0012] Furthermore, the documents DE 30 33 024 A1, DE 21 08 208 A1 and DE 39 09 957 A1 are mentioned as prior art, which disclose holding devices for furniture.
[0013] The wall-mounted housing according to the invention, including its advantageous developments according to the dependent patent claims, is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings of various embodiments.
[0014] It shows Figure 1 a sectional view through the housing along the line AA in Figure 4 ; Figure 2a side view of the housing with the distance holding device fully extended; Figure 3a side view of the housing with the distance holding device minimally extended; Figure 4a rear view of the housing with the section line AA to Figure 1; Figure 5 shows a perspective view from below of the housing with the spacer device according to the invention; Figure 6 shows an enlarged detail B according to Figure 1 ; Figure 7from below the housing according to Figure 5 with the distance holding device fully extended; Figure 8 from below the housing according to Figure 5 with the distance holding device minimally extended; Figure 9, which is shown in the Figures 1 to 8 used embodiment of the rail according to the invention for housings closed at the bottom; and Figure 10 shows an alternative embodiment of the rail according to the invention for housings open at the bottom.
[0015] The wall-mounted housing illustrated in the figures consists, in a conventional manner, of a body 1 to be suspended from a wall and a spacer device 2 adjustably mounted on the body 1 and in contact with the wall for adjusting a distance between the body 1 and the wall. The spacer device 2 has a rail 2.1, and connecting elements 2.2, 2.3 are provided for connecting the rail 2.1 to the body. The connecting elements 2.2, 2.3 act together like an inclined plane. The rail 2.1 is preferably made of sheet metal.
[0016] It is preferably provided that the body 1 is optionally cuboid-shaped and / or designed as a housing of a heating device, in particular a gas or oil-operated heating device.
[0017] Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the body 1 is designed in a suspended position, hanging at its upper end from wall hooks and / or is provided with the spacer device 2 at its lower, wall-side end.
[0018] The term "contact" here, and in contrast to the solution according to the aforementioned DE 30 22 787 A1, in which a hanging contact is realized, preferably means a contact contact, ie a particularly horizontal pressure force acts on the distance holding device 2.
[0019] What is essential for the housing according to the invention is that one of the connecting elements 2.2 is designed as an elongated slot, that the slot runs along a first straight line which in turn is designed to run parallel to the underside of the body on the one hand and obliquely to the rear of the body on the other hand when the body 1 is in the suspended position, that another of the connecting elements 2.3 is designed as a pin passing through the slot and that the pin runs along a second straight line which in turn is designed to run parallel to the rear of the body on the one hand and perpendicular to the underside of the body on the other hand when the body 1 is in the suspended position.
[0020] It is preferably provided that the rail 2.1 is formed from two surface strips 2.4, 2.5 arranged at an angle to one another. The surface strips 2.4, 2.5 are preferably arranged at right angles to one another. Furthermore, it is preferred that, when the body 1 is suspended, one of the surface strips 2.4 is designed to run parallel to an underside of the body 1 and the other surface strip 2.5 is designed to run parallel to the wall-side rear side of the body 1 and / or that at least one surface strip 2.4, 2.5 is provided with at least one bulge 2.6 that optionally contacts the body 1 or the wall to reduce friction when adjusting the spacer device 2.
[0021] Furthermore, it is preferred that the first straight line is formed at an angle on the rail 2.1 that enables self-locking between the pin and the slot. Finally, a tab 2.7 for manually adjusting the spacer device 2 is preferably arranged at at least one end of the rail 2.1. The solution according to Figure 9 is for a housing closed at the bottom (as in the Figures 1 to 8 shown) and the solution according to Figure 10 Designed for a housing with an open bottom (not shown separately). The advantage of both solutions in terms of comfort is that the tab 2.7 for adjusting the distance does not have to be visible, but can be recognized purely by touch.
[0022] The wall-mounted housing according to the invention works as follows: First, the body 1 is suspended from a wall at its upper end so that the surface strip 2.5 touches the wall via the two recesses 2.6. By gripping and moving the tab 2.7, the rail 2.1 can be adjusted so that the connecting elements 2.2 and 2.3 move relative to each other, allowing the desired distance between the lower end of the body 1 and the wall to be set.
