AI Technical Summary
Existing corrugated cardboard production systems face inefficiencies and quality issues due to manual alignment and positioning of material webs, requiring significant operator skill and resulting in unsatisfactory corrugated cardboard quality.
The implementation of transverse position detection devices upstream of the corrugating device to detect and adjust the positioning of material webs, ensuring accurate alignment and minimizing transverse deviations between the first and second material webs, with a signal processing unit controlling the unwinding device to shift the second material web as needed to achieve precise alignment.
This approach enhances the user-friendliness and economic efficiency of the corrugated cardboard production process by ensuring precise web alignment, reducing transverse deviations, and minimizing the need for subsequent edge trimming, resulting in higher-quality corrugated cardboard.
Description
[0001] The invention relates to an arrangement, which is in particular a component of a corrugated board plant, according to the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention is directed to a corrugated board plant with at least one such arrangement. The invention is also directed to a corresponding method according to the preamble of claim 11.
[0002] It is generally known from prior public use that in an arrangement comprising a device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web and upstream material web unwinding devices, the material webs used in the device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web must be aligned one after the other with respect to their centers in order to allow economical and resource-saving production of the single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web. Typically, this is done by first placing the material web to be corrugated on a corrugating roller and aligning it with respect to it. The other material web is then positioned centrally to the material web to be corrugated. Positioning is normally done manually on the unwinding devices. However, checking the correct positioning of the material webs relative to one another by an operator takes place in the device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web. This approach has proven successful in practice. However, it involves a considerable amount of work and requires experience and skill.
[0003] DE 31 38 673 A1 discloses a generic corrugated board system in which a web position is adjusted using a cover web splicing device and / or a liner web splicing device. The splicing device comprises a roll holder with support arms capable of supporting a roll and jointly adjustable by motor to adjust the unwinding web. An edge detector is assigned to each of the intermediate web and cover web. A processing unit receives signals from the edge detectors. The quality of the corrugated board produced with this corrugated board system is consistently unsatisfactory.
[0004] US 2007 / 0137788 A1 discloses an arrangement for controlling the position of one or more webs, particularly for producing corrugated cardboard. A first piece of position information for one or more webs downstream of a position-handling device is detected. The position of one web is used as a reference parameter for controlling the other web. A second piece of position information for one or more webs can be determined in the area of the position-handling device. Here, too, the quality of the corrugated cardboard produced is not always optimal.
[0005] EP 1 757 548 A1 discloses devices for producing single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard webs from two webs. A web positioning adjustment device is equipped with a displacement means for changing a running position of at least one of the two webs. A position detection means detects the positions in a width direction of the two webs. Depending on the detection result, a control means automatically controls the displacement means so that one of the webs is arranged within the other web. The quality of the single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard webs or corrugated cardboard that can be produced is repeatedly unsatisfactory.
[0006] DE 10 2014 207 050 A1 discloses a splicing device with a storage carriage having at least one tiltable or deflectable deflection roller. A first sensor arrangement is provided for detecting the path of a first material web, which is arranged upstream of a corrugated cardboard production device. A second sensor arrangement is assigned to a second material web. An information processing device receives corresponding position information. The deflection roller can be tilted accordingly.
[0007] A corrugator known from US Pat. No. 3,152,941 comprises successive edge actuating devices for aligning the side edges of webs, each comprising an edge sensor device, a controller, and a fluid pressure actuator. If a new roll is fed to a corrugator laterally offset from a control area, a microswitch actuates motors to adjust the roll to a position within the control area.
[0008] JP S62-55125 A discloses a device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated board web. It includes detectors for detecting the left and right paper edges of webs. The position of a paper edge and the position of a glue dam are compared. Depending on the detected deviation, the glue dam is relocated.
[0009] JP H08-258187 A discloses a device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated board web. Glue dams are automatically adjusted as needed depending on a detected web width.
[0010] The invention is based on the object of creating an arrangement that overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, an arrangement that is particularly user-friendly and economical is to be provided. A corresponding corrugated board system and a corresponding method are also to be provided.
[0011] This object is achieved according to the invention by the features specified in the main claims 1, 10 and 11. The core of the invention lies in the use of transverse position detection devices which are arranged upstream of the corrugating device or pressing device and which, for example, during production operation of the device or when starting up, detect the transverse positions of the material webs. The transverse position detection devices are preferably arranged downstream of the unwinding devices or their respective connecting devices. The signal processing unit processes the transverse position signals from the transverse position detection devices which correlate with the transverse positions of the material webs. If a deviation from one or more values is detected,Beyond a target value (interval), the signal processing unit causes a displacement of the second material web in its transverse direction in the device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web, so that the transverse deviation between the first material web and the second material web is reduced or becomes zero. The signal processing unit is capable of causing a displacement of the second material web in the device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web, if necessary, from its actual position to its target position.
[0012] The second unwinding device is capable, for example, of influencing the second material web in such a way as to shift it or deflect it in its transverse direction so that it is displaced accordingly in the device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web. It is expedient if a corresponding adjustment of the second material web and / or the at least one second material web roll takes place in the device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web. Preferably, at least one device of the second unwinding device is displaceable accordingly. For example, during a transverse displacement of the second material web in the device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web, said web is displaced along at least one roller, such as a corrugating roller, glue application roller and / or pressure roller, of the device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web.
[0013] The second unwinding device unwinds the second material web according to a target specification such that, in the device for producing a single-sided corrugated cardboard web, it can be connected, for example, essentially congruently with the first material web or centrally with it in the transverse direction. The material webs then have no transverse deviation or a transverse deviation from each other that lies within a target value. Subsequent edge trimming of a double-sided corrugated cardboard web can thus be minimized or even completely eliminated.
[0014] The corrugating device advantageously comprises a first corrugating roller and a second corrugating roller arranged adjacent to the first corrugating roller, which form a corrugating gap for passing and corrugating the first material web. The rotational axes or longitudinal center axes of the corrugating rollers preferably run parallel to one another. The first and / or second corrugating roller is preferably heatable.
[0015] The glue application device preferably comprises a glue container and a glue application roller. It is expedient for the glue application roller to form a glue gap with the first corrugating roller for passing through and applying glue to the corrugated web. It is advantageous for the glue application roller to apply the glue contained in the glue container to the peaks of the corrugation of the corrugated web. The glue application device is arranged downstream of the corrugating device in the conveying direction of the corrugated web.
[0016] The pressing device is preferably designed as a pressing belt device, which advantageously has at least two pressing belt deflection rollers and an endless pressing belt guided around the pressing belt deflection rollers. The pressing belt preferably presses against the second material web, which in turn is pressed against the glue-coated, endless corrugated web resting against the first corrugating roller. The pressing device is arranged downstream of the corrugating device in the conveying direction of the corrugated web.
[0017] It is expedient for the first transverse position detection device to operate without contact. It is preferably capable of detecting the current position or the current path of the first material web in its transverse direction, preferably continuously. The first transverse position detection device is, for example, capable of directly detecting a position or path of at least one outer lateral or longitudinal edge of the first material web. The first transverse position detection device is designed, for example, as a light grid, sensor, camera, ultrasonic detection device, or infrared detection device.
[0018] The second transverse position detection device is advantageously designed like the first transverse position detection device. It is expedient for the second transverse position detection device to operate without contact. It is preferably capable of detecting the current position or the current path of the second material web in its transverse direction, preferably continuously. The second transverse position detection device is, for example, capable of directly detecting a position or path of at least one outer lateral or longitudinal edge of the second material web. The second transverse position detection device is designed, for example, as a light grid, sensor, camera, ultrasonic detection device, or infrared detection device.
[0019] The transverse position signals are preferably electrical signals.
[0020] The signal processing unit is preferably an electrical, more preferably electronic, signal processing unit. It is designed, for example, as a control and / or regulating unit.
[0021] The signal connection between the first transverse position detection device and the signal processing unit is preferably wireless or wired. The signal connection between the second transverse position detection device and the signal processing unit is advantageously wireless or wired. The signal connection between the second unwinding device and the signal processing unit is also preferably wireless or wired.
[0022] The corrugating roller is extremely reliable. It is expedient if the outer or outside grooves are in flow connection with at least one vacuum source so that the first material web is held on the corrugating roller and lies neatly in the depressions of its corrugation. Outer grooves are preferably arranged at a distance from one another along the corrugating roller. These outer grooves of the corrugating roller preferably run at equal distances from one another. The outer grooves are preferably open radially outwards. They run at least partially around a longitudinal central axis of the corrugating roller and preferably have a uniform width. They preferably intersect, for example vertically or diagonally, a corrugation of this corrugating roller, which preferably has alternating corrugation teeth and corrugation valleys. The outer grooves are preferably designed as annular grooves. They preferably form suction grooves. It is advantageous if the signal processing unit can determine the course orthe position of the outer grooves, in particular their position in relation to a longitudinal extension, of the corrugating roller used. For example, the signal processing unit accesses a database or, for example, external data relating to the corrugating roller. Preferably, the position of the outer grooves is read out from a corrugating roller cassette carrying the at least one corrugating roller. This alignment of the first material web relative to the corrugating roller takes place in particular when the arrangement is put into operation. It is preferably maintained during production. Preferably, both side edges of the first material web are then arranged at a distance from the outer grooves. The arrangement of the side or longitudinal edges of the first material web at a distance from the outer grooves of the corrugating roller, in particular laterally or in the longitudinal direction of the corrugating roller, leads to a particularly high-quality single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web.
[0023] The arrangement is preferably part of a corrugated board production line. A double-sided laminated corrugated board web can preferably be produced from the single-sided laminated corrugated board web.
[0024] Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
[0025] The arrangement according to subclaim 2 is extremely reliable.
[0026] The arrangement according to subclaim 3 also results in a particularly functionally reliable arrangement.
[0027] The arrangement according to subclaim 4 is extremely economical. Advantageously, the first material web is also endless. It is expedient if the single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web is also endless.
[0028] It is advantageous if the second unwinding device comprises two unwinding devices for unwinding two finite second material webs from two second material web rolls. The second unwinding device advantageously has a connecting arrangement for connecting the finite second material webs to form an endless second material web. It is advantageous if the connecting arrangement comprises a first preparation unit, a second preparation unit, a first connecting unit for connecting a web end of one finite second material web to a web beginning of the other finite second material web, and a table device for interacting with the preparation units and the connecting units.
[0029] It is expedient if the at least one receiving device according to dependent claim 5 comprises at least one receiving part or holding part, such as a rod, mandrel, cone or the like, which preferably at least engages in a central opening of the at least one second material web roll. It is advantageous if the at least one receiving device can be displaced transversely from its home position or neutral position and / or can be tilted or inclined, for example about a vertical pivot axis. In the home position of the at least one receiving device, the second unwinding device unwinds the second material web normally. A corresponding displacement, such as displacement or tilting, of the at least one deflection roller from the home position relative to the second material web leads to a change in the direction of travel of the second material web in its transverse direction.
[0030] The material web storage carriage according to dependent claim 6 enables uninterrupted conveying of the second material web. For this purpose, it is preferably displaceable along a material web storage carriage track or guide. Furthermore, the material web storage carriage is at least partially displaceable transversely from its home position or neutral position and / or tiltable or pivotable or inclined, for example about a vertical pivot axis. The material web storage carriage preferably has at least one deflection roller for deflecting the second material web. The at least one deflection roller is in particular displaceable transversely from a home position or neutral position and / or tiltable or pivotable or inclined, for example about a vertical pivot axis. Corresponding displacement, such as displacement orTilting of at least one deflection roller from the basic position relative to the second material web leads to a change in the direction of travel of the second material web in its transverse direction.
[0031] According to subclaim 7, the signal processing unit adjusts, as required, the second material web in its transverse position according to the first transverse position of the first material web. The first material web thus advantageously forms a master material web, while the second material web preferably forms a slave material web. Similarly, the first unwinding device preferably forms a master unwinding device, while the second unwinding device preferably forms a slave unwinding device. A reverse configuration is alternatively possible.
[0032] The arrangement according to dependent claim 8 is particularly reliable. The center of the first material web, relative to its transverse direction, is preferably located between opposing longitudinal or lateral edges of the first material web. The center of the second material web, relative to its transverse direction, is preferably located between opposing longitudinal or lateral edges of the second material web. Center control is preferably provided. If a transverse deviation is detected, the difference is above a maximum target value.
[0033] The arrangement according to dependent claim 9 is particularly user-friendly. Manual adjustment of the at least one glue dam along a glue application roller is eliminated. If a transverse deviation of the first and / or second material web is detected, the at least one glue dam is preferably adjusted or re-adjusted depending on the transverse deviation.
[0034] The terms "upstream," "downstream," "upstream," "downstream," or the like used here refer in particular to the conveying direction of the respective material web. The transverse direction of the respective material web is oriented in particular perpendicular to its conveying direction. It preferably extends across a width of the material web and can also be referred to as the width direction of the material web. The transverse direction runs perpendicular to the opposing longitudinal or lateral edges of the respective material web.
[0035] A preferred embodiment of the invention is described below by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the drawings: Fig. 1 is a simplified side view of an arrangement according to the invention, Fig. 2 is a perspective detailed view of a lower part of a Fig. 1 splicing device illustrated in its entirety, and Fig. 3 a simplified partial view of the Fig. 1 shown device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web, which illustrates the arrangement of the material webs in the device for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web and the glue dams
[0036] Firstly, referring to Fig. 1 , a corrugated board plant (not shown in its entirety) comprises a device 1 for producing a single-sided, endless corrugated board web, which is capable of producing a single-sided, endless corrugated board web 2.
[0037] An intermediate web splicing device 3 and a cover web splicing device 4 are arranged upstream of the device 1 for producing a single-sided, endless corrugated cardboard web.
[0038] The intermediate web splicing device 3 comprises a first unwinding device 7 for unwinding a finite first intermediate web 5 from a first intermediate web roll 6 and a second unwinding device 9 for unwinding a finite second intermediate web from a second intermediate web roll 8. The finite first intermediate web 5 and the finite second intermediate web are joined together to provide an endless intermediate web 10 by means of a connecting and cutting arrangement 11 of the intermediate web splicing device 3. The intermediate web 5, 10 forms a first material web.
[0039] The cover web splicing device 4 is designed similarly to the intermediate web splicing device 3. This device comprises a third unwinding device 13 for unwinding a finite first cover web from a first cover web roll 12 and a fourth unwinding device 16 for unwinding a finite second cover web 14 from a second cover web roll 15. The finite first cover web and the finite second cover web 14 are joined together to provide an endless cover web 17 by means of a connecting and cutting arrangement 18 of the cover web splicing device 4. The cover webs 14, 17 form a second material web.
[0040] The endless intermediate web 10 is fed via a deflection roller 19 in a first conveying direction 33 to the device 1 for producing a single-sided, endless corrugated cardboard web, while the endless cover web 17 is fed via a heating device 20 in a second conveying direction 34 to the device 1 for producing a single-sided, endless corrugated cardboard web.
[0041] The device 1 for producing a single-sided, endless corrugated cardboard web comprises a corrugating device 21 with a first corrugating roller 22 and a second corrugating roller 23 for producing a corrugated, endless web from the endless intermediate web 10. The corrugating rollers 22, 23 are arranged adjacent to one another. They form a corrugating gap for passing and corrugating the endless intermediate web 10. The corrugating rollers 22, 23 are mounted so as to be rotatable or rotatably driven. The axes of rotation of the corrugating rollers 22, 23 run parallel to one another.
[0042] To join the endless cover web 17 to the endless corrugated intermediate web or corrugated web 10 to form the single-sided, endless corrugated cardboard web 2, the device 1 for producing a single-sided, endless corrugated cardboard web has a glue application device 24, which advantageously comprises a glue application roller 25, a glue metering roller 26, and a glue container 27. For feeding and applying glue to the endless corrugated web 10, the glue application roller 25 forms a glue gap with the first corrugating roller 22. The glue in the glue container is applied via the glue application roller 25 to the peaks of the corrugation of the endless corrugated web 10. The glue metering roller 26 bears against the glue application roller 25 and serves to form a uniform glue layer on the glue application roller 25.
[0043] The smooth, endless cover sheet 17 is then joined to the endless corrugated sheet 10, which is provided with glue from the glue container 27, in the device 1 for producing a single-sided, endless corrugated cardboard web. To press the endless cover sheet 17 against the glue-coated, endless corrugated sheet 10, which in turn rests partially against the first corrugating roller 22, the device 1 for producing a single-sided, endless corrugated cardboard web has a pressure belt device 28. The pressure belt device 28 is arranged above the first corrugating roller 22. It has at least two pressure belt deflection rollers 29 arranged at a distance from one another and an endless pressure belt 30 that is guided around the pressure belt deflection rollers 29. The first corrugating roller 22 engages in a space between the pressure belt deflection rollers 29 from below, whereby the pressure belt 30 is deflected by the first corrugating roller 22.The pressure belt 30 presses against the endless cover sheet 17, which in turn is pressed against the endless corrugated sheet 10 provided with glue and lying against the first corrugating roller 22.
[0044] For intermediate storage and buffering of the one-sided laminated, endless corrugated cardboard web 2, it is fed via an overhead transport device 31 to a storage device 32 of the corrugator, where it forms loops.
[0045] The corrugated board machine also includes a liner splicing device (not shown), which is designed to correspond to the intermediate web splicing device 3 or the cover web splicing device 4. The liner splicing device is capable of producing an endless liner.
[0046] Downstream of the storage device 32 and the lamination web splicing device, the corrugator has a preheating device (not shown) with two preheating rollers arranged one above the other. The single-sided, endless corrugated board web 2 and the endless lamination web are fed to the preheating device, wrapping circumferentially around the respective preheating rollers in certain areas.
[0047] Downstream of the preheating device, the corrugator has a gluing unit (not shown) with a gluing roller partially immersed in a glue bath. A glue metering roller is positioned adjacent to the gluing roller to form a uniform layer of glue on the gluing roller. The single-sided, endless corrugated board web 2 is in contact with the gluing roller with its corrugated web 10, so that the corrugation of this corrugated web 10 is coated with glue from the glue bath.
[0048] Downstream of the gluing unit, the corrugator has a heating and pressing device (not shown) comprising a horizontally extending heating table. Adjacent to the heating table is an endless pressing belt guided around guide rollers. A pressing gap is formed between the pressing belt and the heating table, through which the single-sided, endless corrugated board web 2 and the endless lamination web are guided, forming an endless, three-layer corrugated board web. The endless corrugated board web or intermediate web 10 is located between the endless cover web 17 and the endless lamination web.
[0049] Downstream of the heating and pressing device, the corrugator has a slitting / creasing device (not shown) for slitting and creasing the continuous, three-layer corrugated board web. The slitting / creasing device can be used to create continuous partial webs from the continuous, three-layer corrugated board web, which initially run side by side.
[0050] Downstream of the slitting / creasing device, the corrugator has a switch (not shown) to convey the partial webs to different levels.
[0051] Downstream of the switch, the corrugator has a cross-cutting device (not shown) with stacked cross-cutting units. The cross-cutting units produce corrugated board sheets from the partial webs.
[0052] Downstream of the cross-cutting devices, the corrugator has a stacking device (not shown) that stacks the corrugated board sheets.
[0053] The following, also with reference to Fig. 2 , the cover web splicing device 4 is described in more detail. The intermediate web splicing device 3, for example, is designed identically.
[0054] The cover sheet splicing device 4 has a base frame 35 with two base frame bases 36, two base frame uprights 37, and two base frame supports 38. The base frame bases 36 are attached to a floor or substructure. A base frame upright 37 is arranged on each base frame base 36. Each base frame upright 37 extends vertically or perpendicularly to the floor. Each base frame support 38 is arranged at an end of the base frame upright 37 opposite the associated base frame base 36 and runs parallel to the floor. The base frame supports 38 carry a splicing device of the cover sheet splicing device 4.
[0055] An elongated first support assembly 39 is mounted on the base frame bases 36. The first support assembly 39 extends between the base frame bases 36 and perpendicular to a longitudinal extension of the corrugator. It supports the third unwinding device 13 and runs horizontally. The first support assembly 39 is essentially cylindrical.
[0056] The third unwinding device 13 has two first support arms 40, which are arranged along the first support arrangement 39 and each carry a first receiving part 41. According to Fig. 1 The first receiving parts 41 are guided into a central opening of the first cover roll 12 and are rotatably mounted. They engage the first cover roll 12 from both end faces and form a first receiving device. A longitudinal center axis of the first cover roll 12 runs parallel to the first support arrangement 39.
[0057] The first support arms 40 are displaceable relative to one another along the first support assembly 39 so that first cover web rolls 12 of different widths can be accommodated. For this purpose, the cover web splicing device 4 has a first piston-cylinder unit 42, the length of which is variable and is connected to the first support arms 40. The first piston-cylinder unit 42 preferably operates hydraulically. The first support arms 40 are also displaceable together and uniformly along the first support assembly 39, which leads to a displacement of the first cover web roll 12 along its longitudinal center axis or of the finite first cover web unrolled therefrom in its transverse direction. The first support arms 40 are pivotable together about the first support assembly 39, which defines a horizontally extending pivot axis. Such pivoting occurs, for example, when picking up or delivering the first cover web roll 12.The first support arms 40 are also pivotable relative to each other about the first support arrangement 39, which enables a tilting of the first cover web roll 12 and thus a deflection of the finite first cover web or endless cover web 17 in its transverse direction.
[0058] An elongated second support assembly 43 is also mounted on the base frame bases 36. The second support assembly 43 extends between the base frame bases 36 and perpendicular to a longitudinal extent of the corrugator. It runs parallel to the first support assembly 39. It supports the fourth unwinding device 16 and extends horizontally. The third unwinding device 13 and fourth unwinding devices 13, 16 are arranged opposite one another relative to the base frame support 38. The second support assembly 43 is substantially cylindrical.
[0059] The fourth unwinding device 16 has two second support arms 44, which are arranged along the second support arrangement 43 and each carry a second receiving part 45. According to Fig. 1 The second receiving parts 45 are guided into a central opening of the second cover roll 15 and are rotatably mounted. They engage the second cover roll 15 from both end faces and form a second receiving device. A longitudinal center axis of the second cover roll 15 runs parallel to the second support arrangement 43.
[0060] The second support arms 44 are displaceable relative to one another along the second support assembly 43 so that second cover web rolls 15 of different widths can be accommodated. For this purpose, the cover web splicing device 4 has a second piston-cylinder unit 46, which is variable in length and is connected to the second support arms 44. The second piston-cylinder unit 46 preferably operates hydraulically. The second support arms 44 are also displaceable together and uniformly along the second support assembly 43, which leads to a displacement of the second cover web roll 15 along its longitudinal center axis or of the finite second cover web unrolled therefrom in its transverse direction. The second support arms 44 are pivotable together about the second support assembly 43, which defines a horizontal pivot axis. Such pivoting occurs, for example, when picking up or delivering the second cover web roll 15.The second support arms 44 are also pivotable relative to each other about the second support arrangement 43, which enables a tilting of the second cover web roll 15 and thus a deflection of the finite second cover web 14 or endless cover web 17 in its transverse direction.
[0061] The final first cover web and the final second cover web 14 are guided from the respective cover web roll 12 and 15 into the splicing device of the cover web splicing device 4.
[0062] According to Fig. 1 The finite second cover web 14, which currently forms the endless cover web 17, is guided through the cutting and joining arrangement 18 and guided to a cover web storage carriage 47 arranged downstream of the cutting and joining arrangement. The carriage comprises at least one deflection roller 48 for deflecting the endless cover web 17 and is displaceable along a guide 49 for creating or breaking up loops in the endless cover web 17. The guide 49 extends parallel to the floor and thus horizontally. The at least one deflection roller 48 is tiltable along the guide 49 or in its plane. In its basic position, the at least one deflection roller 48 runs perpendicular to the conveying direction 34 of the endless cover web 17. With regard to a possible adjustment of the at least one deflection roller 48 and an advantageous precise structure of the cover web splicing device 4 as well as its preferred function, reference is made by way of example to DE 10 2014 207 050 A1 (US 2015 / 0291380 A1).
[0063] The final first cover sheet is preferably retained in the cutting and joining assembly 18 for later use.
[0064] A cover sheet outlet 50 of the cover sheet splicing device 4 is arranged downstream of the cover sheet storage carriage 47.
[0065] How Fig. 3 As shown, the first corrugating roller 22 has a plurality of annular grooves 54 arranged spaced apart along the first corrugating roller 22 and extending around the longitudinal center axis of the first corrugating roller 22. They are open to the outside and endless. The annular grooves 54 extend in planes perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis of the first corrugating roller 22. The second corrugating roller 23 preferably has no annular grooves.
[0066] The glue application device 24 has two glue dams 55 that lie close to the first corrugating roller 22 and extend perpendicular to it. They are movable along the first corrugating roller 22. The glue dams 55 are movable relative to one another or even together.
[0067] The endless intermediate web 10 is assigned a first transverse position detection device 51, which is arranged between the intermediate web splicing device 3 and the device 1 for producing a single-sided, endless corrugated cardboard web, more precisely between the intermediate web splicing device 3 and the deflection roller 19. The first transverse position detection device 51 is thus arranged downstream of an intermediate web outlet of the intermediate web splicing device 3 in the conveying direction 33 of the endless intermediate web 10. It is arranged upstream of the corrugating device 23 in the conveying direction 33 of the endless intermediate web 10.
[0068] A second transverse position detection device 52 is assigned to the endless cover web 17 and is arranged between the heating device 20 and the pressure belt device 28 of the device 1 for producing a single-sided, continuous corrugated cardboard web. The second transverse position detection device 52 is thus arranged downstream of the cover web splicing device 4 or its cover web outlet 50 in the conveying direction 34 of the endless cover web 34. It is arranged upstream of the pressure belt device 28 in the conveying direction 34 of the endless cover web 34.
[0069] The first transverse position detection device 51 and the second transverse position detection device 52 are connected to a signal processing unit 53. The signal processing unit 53 receives signals from the transverse position detection devices 51, 52 relating to the respective current transverse position of the endless intermediate web 10 and cover web 17. It knows the position of the annular grooves 54 of the first corrugating roller 22. The signal processing unit 53 preferably also knows the length of the endless intermediate web 10 between the intermediate web splicing device 3 and the first transverse position detection device 51. It preferably also knows the length of the endless intermediate web 10 between the first transverse position detection device 51 and the device 1 for producing a single-sided, endless corrugated cardboard web.Preferably, the signal processing unit 53 also knows the length of the endless cover web 17 between the cover web splicing device 4 and the second transverse position detection device 52. It preferably also knows the length of the endless cover web 17 between the second transverse position detection device 52 and the device 1 for producing a single-sided, endless corrugated cardboard web.
[0070] The signal processing unit 53 evaluates the transverse positions of the endless intermediate web 10 and the cover web 17 relative to one another, as detected by the first transverse position detection device 51 and the second transverse position detection device 52. To determine a transverse deviation or lateral offset of the endless intermediate web 10 and the endless cover web 17 relative to one another, it calculates a difference between a center of the endless intermediate web 10 and the endless cover web 17, as present in the transverse direction.
[0071] The signal processing unit 53 is capable of detecting a lateral offset of the material webs or the endless intermediate web and cover web 10, 17 relative to one another. If the signal processing unit 53 detects a deviation between an actual value and a target value, a corresponding transverse displacement of the second material web or endless cover web 17 occurs in the device 1 for producing a single-sided, endless corrugated cardboard web, for example, along the first corrugating roller 22 and the pressure belt deflection rollers 29. Depending on the detected transverse deviation, the cover web splicing device 4 is actuated accordingly.
[0072] For this purpose, the signal processing unit 53 is in signal communication with the cover web storage carriage 47 and the unwinding devices 13, 16 or with corresponding displacement drives for the corresponding displacement or adjustment of the same. The signal connection can be wireless or wired. Alternatively, the signal processing unit 53 is in signal communication with the cover web storage carriage 47 or the unwinding devices 13, 16 or with at least one corresponding displacement drive for the corresponding displacement or adjustment of the cover web storage carriage 47 or the unwinding devices 13, 16. Alternatively or additionally, the signal processing unit 53 is in signal communication with the intermediate web splicing device 3, in particular its intermediate web storage carriage and / or unwinding devices 7, 9 or with corresponding displacement drives for the corresponding displacement or adjustment of the same.
[0073] The signal processing unit 53 is in wireless or wired signal communication with the glue dams 55 or corresponding displacement drives for their displacement. Upon a transverse displacement of the endless intermediate web 10 in the device 1 for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated board web, the glue dams 55 are displaced accordingly.
[0074] The signal processing unit 53 initially actuates, or for the commissioning of the arrangement, the first unwinding device 3 in such a way that the two side edges of the endless intermediate web 10 are arranged laterally offset from the annular grooves 54 of the first corrugating roller 22 or offset from the annular grooves 54 along the first corrugating roller 22.
[0075] According to an alternative embodiment, the corrugator is capable of producing a five-layer corrugated board web. Advantageously, two of the arrangements are then present.
