Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a measuring tape or measuring transmitter for determining the position of an elevator car in an elevator shaft and a measuring system comprising the measuring tape.

[0002] Devices for detecting the position of an elevator car are already known in the art. These devices provide information about the current position of the car along the elevator shaft or the associated elevator rails within the shaft. Besides simple position sensors, such as shaft switches, which provide feedback on the current car position at predefined points in the elevator shaft, there are also incremental position sensors that enable precise position determination at any point in the shaft.

[0003] EP 3 231 753, for example, teaches an elevator system with a measuring tape arranged in the elevator shaft for determining the position of the elevator car within the shaft. The measuring tape has an optical coding in the form of successive position patterns, in particular 2D codes, for length measurement. A sensor device is attached to the elevator car, comprising a light source and a sensor with a detection field for detecting the measuring tape and evaluating the corresponding elevator car position. Such a measuring tape is typically made of steel, on which the optical code is printed and encased in a plastic layer.

[0004] EP 2 842 900 B1 discloses a measuring tape with a marking unit for marking positions in the elevator shaft, wherein the marking unit runs along the length of the measuring tape designed as a steel tape, and wherein a communication line runs along the length of the measuring tape and is designed as an electrical line for transmitting an electrical signal or as a fiber optic line for transmitting an optical signal.

[0005] Systems based on magnetic influence or induced alternating fields are also known, in which a code is incorporated into a steel strip or coupled in a magnetically influenced manner.

[0006] DE 10 2004 043 099 A1 discloses, for example, a device for determining the position of an elevator car, wherein alternating electromagnetic fields are introduced into an electrically conductive rope stretched parallel to elevator rails, and these fields are influenced by a magnet arranged on the car. An evaluation unit not arranged on the car detects the car position by sensing a deflection caused by the magnet on the car.

[0007] EP 0 927 674 A1 discloses a reading head attached to the car or vehicle for evaluating a magnetically coded tape stretched along a rail, wherein the reading head has magnetically sensitive sensors for determining the position by means of the coding in the tape.

[0008] WO 2021 / 175421 A1 discloses a measuring tape for elevators with a magnetically readable coding for determining the position of an elevator car.

[0009] DE 296 08 551 U1 discloses a measuring device with a lowerable measuring probe with an optically readable coding for groundwater wells.

[0010] DE 10 2017 120 970 A1 discloses a textile tape with an optical coding for position determination for a handheld measuring system.

[0011] One problem with known devices and systems is maintaining reliable position detection over several years or decades. In particular, environmental factors such as dust, moisture, and reinforced concrete abrasion can cause the positioning belts suspended in the shaft to become dirty, the steel belt to rust, or layers to detach from multi-layered belts over time. Another problem is maintaining a defined belt position in the elevator shaft while preserving reliable position detection, especially in newly constructed buildings that settle over time. This means that the belts experience compression due to material stresses, changes in the building structure, etc., which can lead to bulging and / or bending, and in the worst case, damage to the belt. This can be addressed by manual readjustment or by installing an additional tensioning and / or bearing device for the belt in the elevator shaft. However, the latter can significantly increase costs and the susceptibility of the device or system to malfunctions.

[0012] The object of the invention is to provide an improved measuring sensor, in particular a measuring tape, and an associated measuring system, which addresses the aforementioned disadvantages of the prior art. In addition to reliable detection of the elevator car position in the elevator shaft, the invention aims to enable simple and cost-effective manufacturing and, preferably, simplified installation in the elevator shaft. This object is achieved by the subject matter of the independent claims. The dependent claims represent advantageous embodiments of the present invention. The invention also addresses further problems, which are explained in the following description.

[0013] In a first aspect, the invention relates to a measuring tape for determining the position of an elevator car in an elevator shaft, which can be arranged vertically in the elevator shaft and preferably extending over at least two building floors, comprising a tape-shaped base body and an optical coding, wherein the tape-shaped base body is made of textile material, and wherein the coding is incorporated into the base body or applied to a surface of the base body.

[0014] In contrast to the prior art, the measuring tape for determining the position of the elevator car is now not made of metal such as iron and especially steel, but consists of a textile base into which the position coding is embedded or applied. This results in both a lighter overall weight of the tape and expanded application possibilities. In particular, the measuring tape is also suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions, such as exposure to salt water, for example, for position determination on ships, wind turbines, shipyards, cranes, etc. Furthermore, the textile base exhibits higher elongation and flexibility than known steel measuring tapes, which simplifies installation and positioning in an elevator shaft. The measuring tape according to the invention also enables simpler and faster manufacturing. In particular, unlike the state of the art, there is no need for a complex bonding process consisting of a steel strip and a further layer of different material, such as a rubber compound, which is then magnetized or printed.

[0015] The ribbon-shaped base is preferably woven or knitted from textile material, in particular textile fiber. Alternatively, the base can also be spun or embroidered.

[0016] The ribbon-shaped base preferably has a constant width of 5 to 30 mm, more preferably 8 to 25 mm, and further preferably 8 to 14 mm, perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the measuring tape. The measuring tape preferably has a thickness of 0.3 to 5 mm, more preferably 0.5 to 3 mm, and particularly preferably 0.5 to 2 mm. The length of the ribbon-shaped base is adapted to the respective elevator shaft in which it is to be installed. For example, this could be a length of approximately 15 m for a five-story building.

[0017] Optical coding, as used here, refers to a code that can be read or scanned using an associated optical sensor.

[0018] The coding may include openings incorporated into the base body. These openings may vary in shape and / or arrangement in the longitudinal and / or transverse direction of the measuring tape. In particular, the coding may comprise several successive openings of different shapes and / or sizes in the longitudinal direction of the measuring tape. The openings may be rectangular and / or round and may differ in their length and / or width to form a code mark pattern.

[0019] The openings can be punched into the textile base or incorporated into the textile base during the manufacturing process, in particular woven or worked in.

[0020] In a preferred embodiment, the base body has at least one receiving opening and, in particular, a pocket for receiving a preferably reflective, especially retroreflective, core element. The receiving opening or pocket is formed inside the base body and is accessible by means of at least one, in particular slit-like, opening. The core element is preferably arranged inside the base body in such a way that openings formed in the base body are covered by the core element. This allows for an easily detectable optical reflection in the respective openings, which can be easily read out by an optical sensor, in particular one-sided, on the side of the measuring band.

[0021] The base body can have several, and preferably a plurality, such pockets for receiving and holding core elements arranged therein. The pockets can have a depth or length in the longitudinal direction of the measuring tape that covers a plurality of openings in the longitudinal direction of the measuring tape. For example, each pocket can have a depth of several meters to accommodate a correspondingly long core element.

[0022] The pockets with associated openings can be arranged regularly along the length of the measuring tape. Alternatively, the pockets can be located only at predefined sections of the measuring tape. The pockets can extend only partially or across the entire width of the measuring tape. For example, the pockets can also extend only across a predefined track of the measuring tape. The pockets can be designed to accommodate a core element and / or another information carrier or an identification object, such as an RFID tag or chip readable by an associated sensor array.

[0023] Alternatively, the textile base body can be made of two layers, with a continuous, in particular slot-like, opening for receiving a core element inside the textile base body. This continuous opening can extend essentially over the entire length of the measuring tape.

[0024] The core element can be designed to be reflective, as described above. For example, the core element can be made of a metal. Alternatively, the core element can be made of a plastic material with a reflective surface. This surface can also be printed or coated with a reflective layer. Alternatively, the core element can have a uniform patterned surface, such as a continuous striped or checkered pattern.

[0025] In a further embodiment, the core element itself can have an optical encoding that can be read by an optical sensor associated with the measuring tape. The core element can be designed such that, in conjunction with openings arranged in the measuring tape, it forms an adaptive encoding. For example, the openings provided in the pockets can at least partially have a regular hole or opening pattern in the longitudinal direction of the tape. Here, the core element, which can be arranged in the pockets, can provide an encoding of the measuring tape in conjunction with the regular hole or opening pattern. For example, the core element can be designed to be retroreflective only partially, in particular section by section or sector by sector, with the remainder of the core element being non-reflective and / or monochromatic.

[0026] In a further embodiment, the optical coding can be formed by specifically arranged and / or designed warp threads, in particular running lengthwise along the measuring tape, and / or weft threads, in particular running crosswise along the measuring tape. The specifically arranged and / or designed warp and / or weft threads of the coding preferably have a different structure and / or color than the rest of the base material of the measuring tape. This allows an optically readable coding to be introduced, in particular woven into, the textile base material by means of the specifically arranged warp and / or weft threads. The warp and / or weft threads can, in particular, consist of a textile material with a different structure or color compared to the rest of the textile base material, so that sufficient contrast to the textile base material is provided, which can be detected by an associated optical sensor. For example, the respective optical coding or a desired code mark pattern can be formed by differently colored, transparent, or reflective yarn. Preferably, for instance, the previously described cutouts or holes in the measuring tape can be formed by a transparent yarn within the measuring tape. This allows a translucent code mark pattern to be provided in the measuring tape while maintaining a substantially homogeneous structure of the measuring tape base.

[0027] In an alternative embodiment, the optical coding can be printed or affixed to the base body. For example, the coding can be printed onto the base body using a textile printing process.

[0028] The optical coding can comprise several successive position patterns, in particular barcodes, data matrix codes, or QR codes. These can be formed, for example, by the openings in the measuring tape body described above and / or by specifically arranged warp and / or weft threads in the body. The coding can further comprise or form an alternating, sequential, or absolute position coding. The respective coding, in particular also in the form of barcodes, data matrix codes, or QR codes, can be formed or arranged in a single, double, or multi-track manner on the measuring tape.

[0029] In a preferred embodiment, the measuring tape has a first surface and an opposing second surface, wherein the first and second surfaces each have a preferably different encoding. This increases the information density of the measuring tape. A corresponding optical sensor can then be provided on both sides of the measuring tape for reading or scanning. If the encoding is formed in the form of openings in the base body, a core element is preferably arranged inside the base body, which covers the openings formed in both the first and second surfaces.

[0030] In a preferred embodiment, the coding is arranged or formed on a surface of the measuring tape in a track extending along the longitudinal direction of the measuring tape, preferably across the entire width of the measuring tape. In a further embodiment, the coding on a surface of the measuring tape has at least two tracks, preferably extending along the longitudinal direction of the measuring tape. The at least two tracks can have different codings or code mark patterns. For example, a first track can comprise or form an incremental or alternating coding, and a second, adjacent track can comprise or form an absolute position coding.

[0031] Furthermore, the measuring tape can also have more than two, in particular at least three or four tracks, in each of which a coding is arranged or formed.

[0032] The measuring tape according to the invention is preferably single-layered, i.e., formed from a continuous, band-shaped textile base. Alternatively, the measuring tape can be double-layered, with the first and second layers being joined together at the two longitudinal edges of the measuring tape, forming at least one longitudinally extending pocket or opening. For example, a band-shaped textile base can be folded along one longitudinal edge during manufacturing and joined together at two adjacent edges of opposite sides, forming a longitudinally extending interior space or opening.

[0033] The measuring tape can have at least one functional and / or signal line incorporated longitudinally into the base body, in particular woven or embedded within it, and preferably designed to be non-load-bearing. This line can serve for signal transmission along the measuring tape and can be connected to external components at designated contact points. The at least one functional and / or signal line is preferably made of conductive material such as a metal wire, which can be incorporated into the textile base body, in particular woven in. This allows the measuring tape to additionally serve as an optimized carrier element for functional and / or signal lines of an elevator control system.

[0034] Furthermore, the measuring tape can provide additional code mark pattern sections to provide a predefined absolute position, in particular of an inspection limit switch or a shaft limit switch.

[0035] This can be achieved through a unique and predefined absolute code mark pattern at the corresponding location on the measuring tape. Alternatively, a sequential or incremental code mark pattern formed on the measuring tape can be covered at the corresponding measuring tape position by an applied cover. In this case, a tape cover, for example made of textile material, can be attached section by section at the respective position during the installation of the system in the elevator shaft.

[0036] In another aspect, the invention relates to a measuring system comprising a measuring tape as previously described and a sensor arrangement comprising at least one optical sensor for reading the optical coding of the measuring tape.

[0037] The sensor assembly is designed for fixed mounting on the car of an elevator system. The car, with the sensor assembly attached to it, travels along the measuring tape in the elevator shaft, and the interaction of the measuring tape and the associated sensor assembly enables the car's position to be determined within the shaft.

[0038] The sensor arrangement is preferably configured to transmit the position, speed, and / or acceleration of an associated elevator car to a higher-level control system by reading the measuring tape. This is preferably achieved by reading or scanning the optical encoding as the sensor arrangement moves along the measuring tape. The sensor arrangement and / or the control system may include a suitably configured microcontroller for this purpose.

[0039] The optical sensor of the sensor assembly can be a barcode scanner, a digital camera as a camera detection device, a light barrier, or the like. The optical sensor can have an integrated or externally provided light source.

[0040] The sensor arrangement can comprise at least two optical sensors offset from each other in the longitudinal direction of the measuring tape, which are preferably arranged parallel to the longitudinal direction of the measuring tape. The optical sensors are preferably oriented substantially perpendicular to a measuring tape surface.

[0041] The sensor array can further comprise different sensors and thus combine various evaluation methods. For example, the sensor array can include a light barrier sensor for evaluating holes or transparent sections arranged in the measuring tape. Additionally, the sensor array can include a barcode scanner or a camera for reading and / or scanning reflective code mark pattern sections in the measuring tape.

[0042] Alternatively or additionally, the sensor arrangement can include at least two optical sensors for reading a code on a first and second surface of the measuring tape. The optical sensors are aligned with opposite surfaces of the measuring tape. The opposite sensors can be arranged directly opposite each other or offset from each other in the longitudinal direction of the measuring tape.

[0043] Additionally, the sensor arrangement can include an RFID sensor, which is designed to read an RFID chip or tag that can be arranged in or on the measuring belt.

[0044] In another aspect, the invention relates to an elevator system with an elevator shaft and a car arranged to move therein, which has a measuring system for determining the position of the car in the elevator shaft as described above.

[0045] Further advantageous details of the invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments and from the figures. These show: Fig. 1 a schematic side view of a preferred embodiment of an elevator system according to the invention; Fig. 2a,2b a review of preferred embodiments of the measuring tape according to the invention; Fig. 3 a view of another preferred embodiment of the measuring tape; Fig. 4 a sectional view of another preferred embodiment of the measuring tape; Fig. 5 a perspective side view of a measuring system according to the invention; Fig. 6 a view of another preferred embodiment of the measuring tape according to the invention; and Fig. 7 A top view of another preferred embodiment of the measuring tape according to the invention with regularly arranged pockets in a track of the measuring tape.

[0046] In the figures, identical elements and elements with the same function are provided with the same reference symbols.

[0047] Fig. 1 Figure 1 shows an elevator system 40 comprising an elevator shaft 41 extending over several floors 43a-d, for example, of a building, ship, crane boom, or high-bay warehouse, and a car 42 arranged to move within it. The system also includes drive means known per se (not shown) which enable selective movement of the car 42 in the elevator shaft 41. For position detection of the car in the elevator shaft 41, the elevator system 40 includes a measuring system 30 according to the invention, described in more detail below (see Figure 3). Fig. 5 ) which comprises a measuring tape 10 arranged in the elevator shaft 41 and a sensor arrangement 20, which interacts with the measuring tape and is arranged on the elevator car 42 and includes an optical sensor 21. The measuring tape 10 extends vertically, preferably through the entire elevator shaft 41, and is held securely in position in the elevator shaft by means of fastening means 44a, 44b.

[0048] The measuring tape 10 can, in addition to more detailed position detection, enable at least the provision of an inspection limit switch 45 and / or a shaft limit switch 46. Furthermore, the measuring tape 10 can be configured to provide, in a predefined section 47, a coding of parameters, in particular operating parameters of the elevator system 40, which can be learned, for example, during commissioning or (re-)learned when a sensor is replaced. The coding of the operating parameters can be carried out by means of an optical coding arranged in the predefined section 47 and explained in more detail below, or by another coding means such as an RFID chip, on which operating parameters such as a maximum speed (V max), shaft end delay (ETSL), etc., are stored.

[0049] An inspection limit switch 45 and / or a shaft limit switch 46 can, for example, be provided by at least partially covering an optical coding 2 in the measuring band 10 as explained in more detail below.

[0050] Fig. 2a Figure 1 shows a schematic top view of a preferred embodiment of the measuring tape 10 according to the invention. The measuring tape 10 comprises a tape-shaped base body 1 made of textile material. This is formed from a suitable textile yarn, consisting of one or more textile fibers, preferably by weaving or knitting into a longitudinally extending tape. In the embodiment shown, the textile tape is a woven fabric consisting of a plurality of weft and warp threads. The warp threads running in the longitudinal direction absorb the tape tension.

[0051] The measuring tape 10 preferably has a constant width b of 5 to 30 mm, more preferably of 8 to 25 mm, and further preferably of 8 to 14 mm, perpendicular to the longitudinal direction L of the measuring tape 10. The length L of the measuring tape 10 is adapted to the respective length of the elevator shaft 41.

[0052] The measuring tape 10 has an optical coding 2, which is incorporated into the base body 1 or applied to a surface 1a of the base body 1. In the present embodiment, the coding 2 is formed by openings or perforations 3a incorporated into or formed in the base body. The openings 3a are preferably woven or worked into the base body 1 during the manufacture of the measuring tape. Alternatively, the openings 3a can be incorporated into the textile base body by punching or burning. The optical coding 2 forms a predefined pattern, in particular a positional pattern, in the base body 1, which can be read by the sensor arrangement 20 of the measuring system 30.

[0053] As shown, the coding 2 can, for example, comprise rectangular cutouts with different longitudinal directions in the measuring tape's longitudinal direction L. These can, for example, form an optically detectable barcode. The openings 3a in Fig. 2a The pattern shown is merely exemplary. The openings 3a can, in particular, have an alternative geometric shape and / or different extents in the longitudinal direction L of the measuring tape and / or in the transverse direction B of the measuring tape. Furthermore, the coding 2 can also have several openings 3a arranged or formed side by side in the transverse direction of the measuring tape. The openings 3a can, in particular, also form or represent a Data Matrix code. The in Fig. 2a The coding shown is advantageously designed as a single-track coding in the longitudinal direction L of the measuring tape. Alternatively, a multi-track coding, in particular at least two or three tracks in the longitudinal direction of the measuring tape, can also be provided.

[0054] Fig. 2b Figure 1 shows a further preferred embodiment of the measuring tape, comprising two tracks 7a, 7b arranged side by side in the longitudinal direction L, each of which has an optical encoding 2a, 2b, each formed by openings 3a. Independent information can be encoded in a first and second track 7a, 7b, thereby increasing the information density of the measuring tape.

[0055] Fig. 3 Figure 1 shows a further preferred embodiment of the measuring tape 10, wherein the measuring tape has at least one pocket 5 which is incorporated into the base body 1. The pocket 5 may have an opening 5a, preferably extending in the transverse direction B of the measuring tape and in particular a slot-like opening. Furthermore, the pocket 5 may include a circumferential inner edge 5b, preferably closed to the outside. The pocket 5 is preferably designed to receive a core element 6, such that openings 3a formed in a surface 1a of the base body 1 are covered by the core element 6. The core element 6 is preferably designed to be reflective, which simplifies the optical detectability of the openings 3a by an associated sensor.

[0056] The base body 1 can have several successive pockets 5 in the longitudinal direction L for receiving a respective core element 6. Each pocket preferably has an extension in the transverse direction B of the measuring tape which corresponds to at least 50%, and more preferably at least 75%, of the width of the measuring tape. Furthermore, the pocket 5 can also extend over the entire length of the measuring tape 10. This allows for a substantially two-layer base body of the measuring tape to be provided.

[0057] Fig. 4 shows a sectional view of another embodiment of the measuring tape 10, which is analogous to the embodiment according to Fig. 3 The measuring tape has a pocket 5. In addition to the openings 3a in the first surface 1a, the measuring tape has additional openings 3b in an opposite surface 1b of the measuring tape. These form a further encoding on the opposite surface 1b. The core element 6 arranged in the pocket 5 covers the respective openings 3a, 3b on the opposite surfaces 1a, 1b. The core element 6 has a reflective surface on both sides.

[0058] As already mentioned Fig. 3 It should be noted that the pocket 5 can also extend over a substantial length in the longitudinal direction L of the measuring tape, in particular over the entire length of the measuring tape, and thereby form an essentially two-layered base body 1.

[0059] Fig. 5 Figure 1 shows a sensor arrangement 20 for interaction with the measuring tape 10. The sensor arrangement 20 is designed for position-safe mounting on a car 42 of an elevator system 40 (see Figure 1). Fig. 1 The sensor arrangement 20 comprises at least one optical sensor 21, which is aligned with a measuring tape surface 1a. The sensor 21 can have at least two sensors 21a, 21b, which are arranged parallel to the direction of travel of the measuring tape. The optical sensor 21 can, for example, have camera detection means and optionally an associated light source.

[0060] The sensor arrangement 20 can additionally include a further optical sensor 21' which is aligned with a second surface 1b of the measuring tape 10 in order to read out an optical encoding arranged thereon.

[0061] Fig. 6 Figure 1 shows a further preferred embodiment of the measuring tape 10 according to the invention. Here, the optical coding 2 in the base body 1 is formed by specifically arranged and / or designed warp threads 4a, in particular running parallel to the longitudinal direction L of the measuring tape, and / or weft threads 4b, in particular running in the transverse direction B of the measuring tape. The in Fig. 6 The schematically represented arrangement forms an optical code mark pattern which can be read by an associated optical sensor 21. The optical code 2 can, for example, comprise or form a barcode, a data matrix code, or a QR code.

[0062] The warp and / or weft threads 4a, 4b can have a different structure and / or color than the rest of the textile base body 1 of the measuring tape 10. In particular, the threads can consist of at least partially transparent or reflective yarn. This allows the warp and / or weft threads 4a, 4b to provide optical coding while maintaining a homogeneous measuring tape base body, i.e., without the need for additional openings or recesses. This not only provides a uniform base structure but also prevents the risk of contamination or entanglement of objects such as shavings, screws, or the like in the measuring tape and the associated risk of impaired readability or tape breakage.

[0063] The measuring tape 10 can optionally have at least one functional and / or signal line 8 made of conductive material, such as metal wire, incorporated into the base body 1 in the longitudinal direction L, in particular woven or embedded, and preferably designed to be non-force-absorbing. This line can serve for signal transmission along the measuring tape and can be contacted at designated contact points by means of external components for signal transmission.

[0064] Fig. 7 Figure 1 shows a further preferred embodiment of the measuring tape 10, comprising at least one first track 7a with an optical encoding, in particular a sequential, incremental, or absolute optical encoding 2. This can be formed by openings in the measuring tape body 1 or by the specifically arranged warp and / or weft threads 4a, 4b described above. The measuring tape 10 also has at least one second track 7b, which preferably includes regularly arranged pockets 5 in the longitudinal direction L of the measuring tape, extending only over the width of the track 7b. These pockets can be designed to receive a previously described core element 6 and / or another information carrier, such as an RFID chip or tag. The opening of the pockets can extend in the longitudinal or width direction of the measuring tape. The pockets 5 can have openings or recesses 3a formed on at least one surface 1a of the measuring tape. These can also be uniformly formed in each of the pockets 5. By inserting individual core elements 6 having either a partially reflective and / or non-reflective surface, a desired coding 2 or a desired position, such as an inspection limit switch or a shaft limit switch, can be generated or formed in the respective pockets 5 or at the respective positions of the measuring tape 10 (cf. ). Fig. 1 ).

[0065] The embodiments described above are merely examples, and the invention is by no means limited to those shown in the figures. In particular, the shape, size, and arrangement of the optical coding in the textile tape base body may differ from the embodiments shown. Bezugszeichenliste
