[0001] The present invention relates to a protective device for a building opening, such as a skylight, and to a building opening with such a protective device. The protective device is designed, in particular, as an insect screen or sunshade and comprises at least one protective element, such as a pleated blind or several louvers, with which the building opening can be covered / closed. The protective device further comprises at least one cord and a cord drive system, wherein the cord drive system, which in particular has at least one spring element, is actuated by means of the at least one protective element during the closing and / or opening of the building opening. The protective device also comprises a profile strip unit having at least one profile strip in which the cord drive system is arranged.

Claims
1. A protection device for a building opening, comprising - at least one protection element (1), - a first profiled strip (4), - at least one cord (2), - a cord drive system (3), wherein • the building opening can be covered by means of the at least one protection element (1), • the cord drive system (3) is actuated by means of the at least one protection element (1) during the closing and / or opening of the building opening, and • the cord drive system (3) is arranged in the first profiled strip (4), characterised in that at least one second profiled strip (5) is provided, wherein the first profiled strip (4) and the second profiled strip (5) can be telescoped relative to one another.
