Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a sliding window device comprising a rectangular window frame for installation in a window cutout according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
[0002] Very large, openable window formats can only be designed as sliding windows. For this purpose, frame profiles are fitted into the floor, ceiling and walls to accommodate the window elements. Typically, the profile frame formed by the frame profiles contains a first, fixed window element and a second window element that can be moved relative to it. To ensure easy movement of the second window element, a certain amount of free space is required between this window element and the frame profiles or the first, fixed window element. This results in undesirable heat transfer. To reduce this heat transfer, brush strips are often used in the state of the art. The brushes slide with slight pre-tension against the movable second sash element, thereby achieving a certain degree of airtightness. However, with increasing use of the sliding window device, these brush strips become subject to a certain amount of dirt and wear, which reduces the sealing effect over time.
[0003] EP 1 936 295 B1 proposes sealing the existing free spaces with a hose-like sealing element connected to a pressure source and arranged in a groove. To achieve a sealing effect, the sealing element is subjected to pressure, thereby increasing its cross-section.
[0004] EP 2 273 055 B1 criticizes this previously known device for having the compressed air source located outside the device. If several of these devices were provided in a building, the respective sealing elements would be actuated by compressed air from a central compressed air source. This would require additional effort when installing such devices with regard to the installation of pneumatic lines in the building. To solve this problem, a sliding sash device is proposed in which the compressed air source in the form of an electrically operated compressor is arranged in the frame. For the power supply, connecting cables for connection to an external power source should be provided. Alternatively, it is proposed to operate the compressor via a rechargeable battery arranged in the frame. For charging the rechargeable battery, it is further proposed to provide solar cells.
[0005] A disadvantage of the proposed sliding wing device is that the compressor relies on a continuous power supply to maintain the pressure required when the sliding wing device is closed. Furthermore, pressure equalization by the compressor is required to compensate for a gradual pressure drop over time, resulting in unexpected noise emissions that are perceived as disturbing. While these can be reduced by providing appropriate sound insulation, truly silent operation is difficult or only possible with considerable effort. Furthermore, the previously known solution requires a relatively large cavity cross-section for the tubular seal, resulting in relatively large seal component dimensions.
[0006] The invention aims to remedy this situation. The invention is based on the object of providing a sliding window device whose sliding sash can be completely sealed in the closed position, whereby no noise emissions occur in this position and no continuous power supply is required. According to the invention, this object is achieved by a sliding window device having the features of the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
[0007] The invention provides a sliding window device whose sliding sash can be completely sealed in the closed position, wherein no noise emissions occur in this position and no continuous power supply is required. Due to the fact that the at least one sealing element is formed by an elastic sealing profile which is arranged on the window frame and is dimensioned such that it is pre-tensioned to seal against the sliding window element, wherein the elastic sealing profile has a hollow chamber which is connected to a pump device, wherein a valve for controlling the air flow out of and into the sealing profile is arranged, activation of the pump device is only necessary when the device is in the open state. In this case, the hollow chamber cross-section is reduced, whereby the sealing cross-section is reduced. The cavity cross-section required to achieve the required reduction in the seal cross-section is significantly smaller than in the prior art device, resulting in significantly smaller component dimensions. In the closed state, the desired seal is achieved by the sealing element in the relaxed state.
[0008] In this case, a relaxed sealing profile is defined as a sealing profile whose cavity is not reduced by the pump's suction process. A relaxation process is defined as the process in which a vacuumed sealing profile compensates for the vacuum present in its cavity by admitting air.
[0009] In a further development of the invention, the pumping device is an electrically operated vacuum pump, the valve being designed as an electromagnetic valve, and a control device being arranged via which the vacuum pump and the electromagnetic valve can be controlled. This enables user-friendly control of the sealing profile condition. Of course, the valve can also be designed to be mechanically actuated.
[0010] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the pumping device comprises a mechanically operated pump, with a lever provided, the movement of which operates the pump. Preferably, a mechanically actuated valve is provided. This enables a self-contained pumping device that requires no connection to a power supply.
[0011] In a further embodiment of the invention, the lever can also be used to simultaneously secure a window element to the window frame. This allows the pump to be actuated via the lever in parallel with the opening of the device.
[0012] In a further development of the invention, an elastic sealing profile is arranged at least partially on the floor-side and / or ceiling-side profile part. This achieves a seal on both the floor and the ceiling. Particularly preferably, the sealing profile is arranged on the window frame around the opening that can be closed by the at least one slidably mounted window. This achieves a seal all around. A sealing all around can also be realized by connecting several individual sealing profiles via connecting means.
[0013] In one embodiment of the invention, two preferably opposite side walls of the hollow chamber of the sealing profile are provided with a bellows-like fold. This achieves a directed compression of the sealing profile by creating a vacuum.
[0014] In an embodiment of the invention, a U-shaped or C-shaped receptacle is arranged on the frame, at least at the bottom, which is open toward a sliding window element and into which the sealing profile is inserted, at least in part. This achieves a guided expansion of the sealing profile during a relaxation process.
[0015] In a further embodiment of the invention, the sealing profile is arranged, at least in part, on a plane extending between two window elements. This enables a seal between two slidably mounted windows.
[0016] Further developments and refinements of the invention are specified in the remaining subclaims. An embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawings and described in detail below. [0017] The sliding window device chosen as an exemplary embodiment essentially consists of a window frame 1 formed from a circumferential profile 2 that accommodates a fixed window element 3 and a sliding window element 4. The circumferential profile 2 frames the opening defined by the fixed window element 4 and is provided with a sealing profile 5 that is connected to a pump 6.
[0018] In the exemplary embodiment, the circumferential profile 2 is designed as an aluminum profile and comprises a floor-side profile part 21, a ceiling-side profile part 22 and two lateral profile parts 23, which delimit a rectangular window frame 1.
[0019] In Figure 3 The cross-section of the bottom profile part 21 is shown in the area of the sliding window element 4. The bottom profile part 21 has a U-shaped inner contour 211, into which the - merely indicated - sliding window element 4 engages. On the base plate 212 of the inner contour 211, a U-shaped receptacle 213 is arranged, into which the sealing profile 5 is inserted, which is dimensioned such that it is prestressed against the sliding window element 4. The sealing profile 5 has a hollow chamber 51 extending in its longitudinal direction, the opposite side walls 511 of which are provided with a bellows-like fold 52. In Figure 2This arrangement is shown with the sealing profile 5 vacuumed by the pump 6. The two side walls of the hollow chamber 51 are folded in, guided by the U-shaped receptacle 213, whereby the sealing surface 512 of the sealing profile 5 facing the movable window element 4 is spaced from this window element 4.
[0020] In the embodiment according to Figures 4 and 5 A C-shaped receptacle 214 is arranged on a side wall of the U-shaped inner contour 211 of the bottom profile part 21, into which the sealing profile 5 is inserted. Figure 5 the sealing element 5 is shown in the relaxed state, whereby it is laterally pre-tensioned against the sliding window element 4. In Figure 4This arrangement is shown with the sealing profile 5 vacuumed by the pump 6. The two side walls of the hollow chamber 51 are in turn folded in, guided by the C-shaped receptacle 214, whereby the sealing surface 512 of the sealing profile 5 is spaced from the window element 4.
[0021] In the embodiment according to Figures 6 and 7 On both side walls of the U-shaped inner contour 211 of the base-side profile part 21, a C-shaped receptacle 214 is arranged, into each of which a sealing profile 5 is introduced, which, in accordance with the above arrangement, is prestressed against the displaceable window element 4 in the relaxed state and whose sealing surface 512 is spaced from this window element 4 in the vacuumed state of the sealing profile 5.
[0022] In Figure 8A two-track profile part 24 of a sliding window device of another embodiment is shown, with a W-shaped inner contour 241 of the sliding window device, on whose central dome 242 a C-shaped receptacle 243 is arranged, directed in the direction of a track, into which the sealing profile 5 is inserted. In the relaxed state, the sealing profile 5 is prestressed against a sliding window element 4 engaging in this track. In this embodiment, the C-shaped receptacle 243 is formed by an L-profile 244 applied to the central dome 242.
[0023] In Figure 9, the two-track profile part 24 with two sliding window elements 4 is shown in the stop position (closed position). Here, the stop bars 41 arranged on the sliding window elements 4 abut one another. The L-profile 244 attached to the central dome 242 is shorter than the sealing profile 5, whereby the sealing profile 5 protrudes slightly from the C-shaped receptacle 243 formed by the L-profile 244. This protruding section of the sealing profile 5 is arranged below the adjacent stop bars 41 when the sliding window elements 4 are closed and lies sealingly laterally against the two sliding window elements 4 and upwardly against the two stop bars 41.
[0024] The lateral profile part 23 opposite the fixed window element 3 has a recess 231 in which a lever 61 is embedded, via which a locking mechanism (not shown) can be operated to secure the sliding window element 4 resting against it in the closed position. The lever 61 is also connected to a pump 6 designed as a mechanical piston pump, which is arranged in the lateral profile part 23 and is connected to the hollow chamber 51 of the circumferentially arranged sealing profile 5. A valve 62 is arranged between the pump 6 and the sealing profile 5. By pivoting the lever 61, the air can be sucked out of the hollow chamber 51 of the sealing profile 5, creating a vacuum which causes the sealing profile to fold in along its folds. The seal is now no longer in contact with the sliding window element 4, so that it can be opened.
[0025] Furthermore, an operating button 63 is arranged on the lateral profile part 23, via which the valve 62 can be operated. Pressing the operating button 63 after closing the sliding window element 4 opens the valve 62, allowing air to flow into the hollow chamber 52. The sealing profile relaxes and seals itself again against the sliding window element 4.
[0026] The lateral profile part 23 with arranged lever 61, valve 62, control button 63 and the connection to the sealing profile 5 is in Figure 11 schematically sketched.
[0027] In a further embodiment, the pump 6 can be designed as an electric pump, which is to be connected to an additional power source. In this case, the pump 6 is connected to a control device, which can be actuated via the lever 61, for example via a first limit switch. The valve 62 can be designed as an electromagnetic valve, which can preferably also be actuated via the lever 61, for example via a second limit switch. Such an arrangement makes it possible to open the sliding window device by unlocking the sliding window element 23 resting against the lateral profile part 23 by pivoting the lever 61. In a 180-degree pivot position, the first limit switch is actuated, which controls the pump 6, whereby the sealing profile 5 is vacuumed, after which it no longer rests against the sliding window element 23.
[0028] When a sliding window element 4 is secured against the side profile part 4, a locking mechanism can be activated by pivoting the lever 61, thereby securing the element. In a pivoted position of 180 degrees, the second limit switch is actuated. After the sliding window element 4 is locked, the valve 62 is actuated, causing air to flow into the hollow chamber 51 of the sealing profile 5. The sealing profile 5 relaxes and rests sealingly against the sliding window element 4 again. Of course, other actuating elements can also be arranged instead of the limit switches.
