[0001] Description
[0002] Fastening system for fastening a facade panel to a C-profile rail and method for fastening the facade panel with the fastening system
[0003] The invention relates to a fastening system for fastening a facade panel to a C-profile rail having the features of the preamble of claim 1 and to a method for fastening the facade panel with the fastening system having the features of the preamble of claim 11.
[0004] C-profile rails have a substantially rectangular tubular cross-section and a continuous longitudinal slot in one side, allowing for fastening with hammer-head bolts and the like. On the side opposite the longitudinal slot, C-profile rails typically have elongated holes and round holes arranged one behind the other in a longitudinal direction for fastening the C-profile rail to, for example, an exterior wall of a building.
[0005] Fastening systems for attaching facade panels to a profile rail are known. For example, patent EP 0 979 334 B1 discloses a fastening system with a hollow profile that is attached horizontally to a supporting structure on a building wall. A horizontal web protrudes upward from the hollow profile, to which an L-profile is suspended. The vertical leg of the L-profile rests on the hollow profile and to which a facade panel is attached by means of an undercut anchor.
[0006] The object of the invention is to propose a fastening system for attaching a facade panel to a C-profile rail that does not require special profiles and allows for easy fastening of the facade panel. Another object of the invention is to attach a facade panel to a C-profile rail using the fastening system.
[0007] These objects are achieved according to the invention by the features of claims 1 and 11. The fastening system according to the invention comprises a fastener, a facade panel and an anchor, in particular an undercut anchor. A C-profile rail is a component of a further development of the invention. The facade panel is fastened to the fastener by means of the anchor. The anchor is fastened in an anchor hole in a rear side of the facade panel, wherein the rear side is a side of the facade panel facing the fastener and thus also the C-profile rail and a facade, exterior building wall or the like. The rear side is a side of the facade panel opposite a visible side, wherein the visible side is a visible side of the facade panel when the facade panel is fastened to the facade, exterior building wall or the like of a building for cladding. The anchor hole is in particular a blind hole in which the anchor is fastened or anchored. The anchor hole or the blind hole can have an undercut.
[0008] In particular, the anchor is an undercut anchor which is spread out in the undercut blind hole provided in the back of the facade panel and is thereby anchored in the facade panel.
[0009] In addition, the anchor is attached to the fastener, thereby connecting the facade panel to the fastener and securing the fastener to the back of the facade panel.
[0010] The fastener has a hammer head element for attaching the facade panel to the C-profile rail. The hammer head element has a T-profile when viewed from one side of the hammer head element, with a crosshead of the "T" forming a head or hammer head of the hammer head element, which can be inserted into the C-profile rail through the longitudinal slot when the hammer head is aligned in a longitudinal direction of the C-profile rail or at an angle to the longitudinal direction of the C-profile rail. If the hammer head is positioned transversely or possibly at an angle in the C-profile rail, it engages behind the C-profile rail on the inside on both sides of the longitudinal slot and is thus held by a positive fit with the C-profile rail against being pulled out of the C-profile rail perpendicular to the side of the C-profile rail with the longitudinal slot, which enables the fastener to be attached to the C-profile rail with the facade panel.
[0011] In one embodiment of the invention, the fastening system comprises a first fastener having a U-shaped bracket with two flanges and a web connecting the two flanges. The two flanges protrude from the web on the same side of the connecting web and preferably at ends of the web, in particular at right angles or approximately right angles. Two legs or sides of the U-shaped bracket are referred to here as "flanges" and a side connecting the two flanges, a yoke or a central part of the U-shaped bracket is referred to as the "web" of the U-shaped bracket. The anchor, in particular the undercut anchor, is preferably fastened to the web of the first fastener via a ring mount so as to be rotatable about an axis perpendicular to the web. The ring mount is preferably made of a metal, in particular steel, or of a plastic.A ring frame made of steel is preferred because it is significantly more stable and therefore experiences less wear. Furthermore, the U-shaped bracket, which forms the first fastener of the fastening system of this embodiment of the invention or which is part of the first fastener, has a support that rests on an outer side of the side of the C-profile rail having the longitudinal slot when the fastener is fastened to the C-profile rail as intended. The support is, for example, strip-shaped or ledge-shaped and projects from the first flange of the U-shaped bracket of the fastener at an end of a first of the two flanges remote from the web, on a side facing away from a second of the two flanges, parallel to the web. The support therefore projects from a side of the first flange opposite the web, with a parallel offset to the web.The first fastener does not require any further fastener; in this embodiment of the invention, the fastening system may comprise the first fastener as the only fastener, a plurality of first fasteners, or one or more first fasteners and optionally one or more further fasteners.
[0012] A further development of the invention provides a mounting hole in the support for a hammerhead fastener, which in this embodiment of the invention forms the hammerhead element of the fastener for fastening the fastener to the C-profile rail. The hammerhead fastener is attached to or in the mounting hole in the support of the U-shaped bracket of the first fastener and has, for example, a hammerhead bolt, a rectangular nut, or a parallelogram nut as the hammerhead.
[0013] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the fastening system comprises a second fastener with a U-shaped bracket having two flanges and a web connecting the two flanges. In the second fastener, too, the anchor, in particular the undercut anchor, is preferably fastened to the connecting web of the second fastener via a ring mount so as to be rotatable about an axis perpendicular to the connecting web. Here, too, the ring mount is preferably made of a metal, in particular steel, or of a plastic. With regard to the U-shaped bracket, reference is additionally made to the explanation of the U-shaped bracket of the first fastener. A first of the two flanges of the U-shaped bracket of the second fastener has a hammer head, which forms the hammer head element of the second fastener. For this purpose, viewed from one side of the first flange, the first flange has a T-profile, which can be formed, for example, by the first flange being strip-shaped or ledge-shaped and having two recesses opposite one another on two opposite longitudinal sides of the first flange. The hammer head can be inserted into the C-profile rail through the longitudinal slot if the hammer head is aligned lengthwise or diagonally to the longitudinal direction of the C-profile rail. In the C-profile rail, the hammer head is aligned transversely to the C-profile rail, whereby the hammer head engages behind the C-profile rail on the inside on both sides of its longitudinal slot and holds the second fastener in the C-profile rail perpendicular to the side of the C-profile rail having the longitudinal slot through the positive locking of the hammer head. This embodiment of the invention does not require the first fastener, which is further clarified by an exemplary embodiment of the invention. However, it preferably comprises the one or more first fasteners and the one or more second fasteners.
[0014] In one embodiment of the invention, a second of the two flanges of the second fastener has an extension that is narrower or at least no wider than the width of the longitudinal slot in the C-profile rail. The extension forms two shoulders on either side of the extension on the second flange of the second fastener, which shoulders are or will be placed externally on the side of the C-profile rail having the longitudinal slot for or during the attachment of the second fastener to the C-profile rail. The extension then engages in the longitudinal slot of the C-profile rail and holds the second flange of the second fastener by form-fitting in the longitudinal slot of the C-profile rail transversely to the C-profile rail.
[0015] The U-shaped brackets of the fasteners are particularly designed such that their webs are arranged parallel to the C-profile rail and at an equal distance from the side of the C-profile rail having the longitudinal slot when the fasteners are attached to the C-profile rail as intended. The webs of the fasteners, to which the rear side of the facade panel is attached with an anchor each, are located in a plane parallel to the C-profile rail at the same distance from the side of the C-profile rail having the longitudinal slot when the fasteners are attached to the C-profile rail as intended.
[0016] If the hammer head on the first flange of the second fastener is inserted through the longitudinal slot in the C-profile rail into the C-profile rail and aligned transversely to the C-profile rail such that the hammer head engages behind the C-profile rail on the inside on both sides of its longitudinal slot, the hammer head forms a pivot joint with a transverse axis running transversely to the C-profile rail, around which the second fastener can pivot. By pivoting the second fastener around the transverse axis, the distance between the second flange of the second fastener and the C-profile rail can be changed. The distance of the second flange can be increased so that its extension can be moved transversely to the C-profile rail on the outside over the side of the C-profile rail with the longitudinal slot. This allows the extension of the second flange to be aligned with the longitudinal slot of the C-profile rail and, by (opposite) pivoting of the second fastener, the second flange of the second fastener can be placed on the outside of the side of the C-profile rail having the longitudinal slot, such that the extension of the second flange engages in the longitudinal slot of the C-profile rail and is held in the longitudinal slot transversely to the C-profile rail by form-fitting.
[0017] In preferred embodiments of the invention, the fastener(s) are rotatably attached to the back of the facade panel. The axes of rotation are preferably perpendicular to the back of the facade panel. The fasteners are preferably rotatable on the anchors anchored in the back of the facade panel.
[0018] One embodiment of the invention provides that the anchor can be arranged at various locations on the fastener, offset from one another in the longitudinal direction of the fastener, or can be adjusted in the longitudinal direction of the fastener. The latter is possible, for example, by means of an elongated hole in the web of the fastener and applies in particular to the first described fastener as well as to the second fastener. This embodiment enables the fastener to be positioned in its longitudinal direction on the back of the facade panel; for example, the distance of the fastener from an edge of the facade panel can be adjusted.
[0019] One embodiment of the invention provides that a first fastener or more first fasteners and a second fastener or more second fasteners are fastened to the back of the facade panel. The first fastener(s) are spaced from the second fastener(s) in the longitudinal direction of the C-profile rail. If a plurality of first fasteners and a plurality of second fasteners are fastened to the back of the facade panel, the first fasteners are spaced from one another transversely to the C-profile rail and the second fasteners are spaced the same transversely to the C-profile rail such that the facade panel can be fastened to two C-profile rails that are arranged parallel to one another in one plane and at a distance from one another, for example fastened to a building wall. The distances between the first fasteners and the second fasteners can be different.
[0020] The inventive method with the features of claim 11 is directed to fastening the facade panel to the C-profile rail using the fastening system according to the invention explained above. To fasten the facade panel to the C-profile rail, the second fastener on the back of the facade panel is rotated so that its first flange with the hammer head is positioned longitudinally or obliquely to the C-profile rail. The back of the facade panel is facing the C-profile rail, and the facade panel is approached to the C-profile rail such that the hammer head on the first flange of the second fastener, which is rotatably attached to the back of the facade panel, enters the C-profile rail through the longitudinal slot.By moving the facade panel transversely to the C-profile rail, the second fastener, whose hammer head is located in the C-profile rail and therefore does not move transversely to the C-profile rail, is rotated both on the back of the facade panel and in relation to the C-profile rail in such a way that the hammer head is positioned transversely in the C-profile rail and engages behind the C-profile rail on the inside on both sides of its longitudinal slot. By engaging behind the C-profile rail, the hammer head on the first flange of the second fastener holds the facade panel to the C-profile rail via the second fastener, perpendicular to the side of the C-profile rail with the longitudinal slot.
[0021] When the hammer head of the second fastener is inserted into the C-profile rail and before or during the movement of the facade panel transversely to the C-profile rail to rotate the second fastener, the facade panel is pivoted about a transverse axis to the C-profile rail on the hammer head of the second fastener in such a way that the distance between the first fastener on the back of the facade panel and the C-profile rail is reduced so that the extension on the second flange of the second fastener can be moved transversely to the C-profile rail. In other words, the facade panel is tilted slightly towards the C-profile rail on the side of the first fastening. When the facade panel is moved transversely to the C-profile rail to rotate the second fastener, the second fastener on the back of the facade panel is positioned transversely to the C-profile rail in such a way that the extension is above or in front of the longitudinal slot in the C-profile rail. The facade panel, with the two fasteners on its back, is then pivoted around the transverse axis to the C-profile rail on the hammer head of the second fastener so that the extension on the second flange of the second fastener enters the longitudinal slot of the C-profile rail and the second flange of the second fastener comes into contact with the outside of the C-profile rail with the longitudinal slot. In other words, the facade panel is tilted back into its desired position. The extension on the second flange of the second fastener, which engages in the longitudinal slot of the C-profile rail, holds the facade panel against movement of the facade panel transverse to the C-profile rail through the positive locking of the extension in the longitudinal slot of the C-profile rail, and the two fasteners hold the facade panel parallel to the C-profile rail at a distance from the C-profile rail.
[0022] After the extension enters the longitudinal slot of the C-profile rail, the first fastener is preferably rotated relative to the facade panel and then secured to the C-profile rail with its hammer head element. Before rotation, the shape of the first fastener provides space for the C-profile rail, allowing the facade panel on the side of the first fastener to be tilted toward the C-profile rail as described.
[0023] The features and combinations of features, embodiments, and refinements of the invention mentioned above in the description, as well as the features and combinations of features mentioned below in the description of the figures and / or drawn in a figure, can be used not only in the respective combination specified or drawn, but also in any other combinations or individually. [0030] Figure 7 shows a second embodiment of the fastening system according to the invention, in which, in comparison to the fastening system shown in Figure 6, four second fasteners and no first fasteners are used.
[0031] In principle, identical parts in the figures are provided with identical reference numbers.
[0032] The fastener 1 according to the invention shown in Figure 1 is a first fastener 1 of a fastening system 2 according to the invention for fastening a facade panel 21 to a C-profile rail 24 (see Figure 6). The C-profile rail 24 or two C-profile rails 24 are fastened parallel and at a distance from one another, for example to a building wall (not shown), for cladding the building wall with facade panels 21. The first fastener 1 has a sheet metal strip of constant width, which is bent twice to the same side - at right angles in the exemplary embodiment - and once in an opposite direction in a U-shape such that the first fastener 1 has two mutually parallel flanges 4, 5, which are integrally connected to one another by a web 6.The two flanges 4, 5 are of equal height such that the web 6 is arranged parallel to and at a distance from the C-profile rail 24 when the two flanges 4, 5 rest against the C-profile rail 24. The opposite angling creates a strip-shaped support 7 which projects parallel to the web 6 to a side facing away from a first of the two flanges 4. The support 7 has a parallel offset to the web 6 which is as large as the height of the flanges 4, 5. The two flanges 4, 5 and the web 6 form a U-shaped bracket 8, from the first flange 4 of which the support 7 projects outwards parallel to the web 6.
[0033] In the support 7, the first fastener 1 has a fastening hole 9 for a hammer head fastener 10. In the exemplary embodiment, the fastening hole 9 is rectangular with a circular widening in its center (see Figure 4).
[0034] The web 6 of the first fastener 1 has an anchor fastening hole for an anchor 11, which is or will be anchored in an anchor hole (not shown in Figures 4 to 6) in the back of the facade panel 21 for fastening the fastener 1 to a back side of the facade panel 21. The anchor 11 is fastened to the web 6 of the first fastener 1 - in the exemplary embodiment with a ring holder 12 made of plastic - so that it can rotate about an axis perpendicular to the web 6, such that the first fastener 1 is fastened to the back of the facade panel 21 so that it can rotate about the axis, which is also perpendicular to the back of the facade panel 21. In the exemplary embodiment, the anchor 11 is an undercut anchor 13, and the anchor hole in the back of the facade panel 21 has an undercut, in which the anchor 11 is spread out and thereby anchored.
[0035] The variant of the first fastener 1 according to the invention shown in Figure 2 has a longer web 6 with a plurality of fastening holes 9 for the anchor 11. In the exemplary embodiment, the variant of the first fastener 1 has two round holes and one elongated hole as fastening holes 9 for the anchor 11, wherein the anchor 11 is or will be fastened to the web 6 of the second fastener 1 so that it can rotate and can also be moved in the elongated hole. Several anchors 11 are shown in Figure 2 to illustrate the possible positions. In use, however, only one anchor 11 is used per first fastener 1. The first fastener 1 is fastened to the back of the facade panel 21 with the anchor 11 so that it can rotate and, if necessary, can move.
[0036] The second fastener 14 of the fastening system 2 according to the invention, shown in Figure 3, has a U-shaped bracket 8 like the first fastener 1, but without the support 7 and instead with a hammer head 15 on a first bracket flange 16 and an extension 17 in a transverse center at a free end of a second bracket flange 18. A connecting web 19 connects the two bracket flanges 16, 18 in one piece to form the U-shaped bracket 8.
[0037] The hammer head 15 is formed by two opposing rectangular, slot-shaped recesses in the longitudinal sides of the first bracket flange 16 of the second fastener 14.
[0038] On both sides of the extension 17, the second bracket flange 18 of the second fastener 14 has steps which form a step support 20 with which the second bracket flange 18 of the second fastener 14 rests against the C-profile rail 24 when the second fastener 14 is fastened to the C-profile rail 24 as intended.
[0039] The first bracket flange 16 of the second fastener 14 is as high as the flanges 4, 5 of the first fastener 1 up to the recesses in its long sides forming the hammer head 15 and the second bracket flange 18 of the second fastener 14 is as high as the flanges 4, 5 of the first fastener 1 up to the step support 20 such that the webs 6, 19 of the two fasteners 1, 14 are arranged parallel to and at the same distance from the C-profile rail 24 when the fasteners 1, 14 are fastened to the C-profile rail 24 as intended.
[0040] Like the web 6 of the first fastener 1, the connecting web 19 of the second fastener 14 has an anchor fastening hole in which an anchor 11—in the exemplary embodiment, an undercut anchor 13 and, in the exemplary embodiment, with a plastic ring socket 12—is rotatably mounted about an axis perpendicular to the connecting web 19. The anchor 11 is fastened in an anchor hole in the rear side of the facade panel 21 such that the second fastener 14, like the first fastener 1, is rotatably mounted on the rear side of the facade panel 21 about a rotation axis perpendicular to the rear side of the facade panel 21.
[0041] Figure 4 shows the facade panel 21 viewed from its rear side 22, to which - in the exemplary embodiment - two first fasteners 1 and two second fasteners 14 are fastened to the corners of an imaginary rectangle so as to be rotatable about the axes of rotation perpendicular to the rear side 22. As described above, each fastener 1, 14 is fastened to the rear side 22 of the facade panel 21 by means of an undercut anchor 13 in an anchor hole (not shown) having an undercut, in particular a blind hole, which is provided in the rear side 22 of the facade panel 21, so as to be rotatable about the axes of rotation. The two first fasteners 1 are fastened next to one another at a distance from one another on the rear side 22 of the facade panel 21, and the two second fasteners 14 are fastened next to one another at the same distance from one another as the first fasteners 1 on the rear side 22 of the facade panel 21.In the exemplary embodiment, the second fasteners 14 are equally spaced from the first fasteners 1, although this is not mandatory.
[0042] Figures 5 and 6 show the fastening system 2 according to the invention with a view of a front side 23 of the facade panel 21 opposite the rear side 22, wherein the facade panel 21 is drawn with dashed lines and transparent in Figures 5 and 6 so that the fasteners 1, 14 and the C-profile rails 24 are visible. Two C-profile rails 24 are fastened vertically, parallel to one another, at a distance from one another, on the outside, for example, of a house wall. The first fasteners 1 on the rear side 22 of the facade panel 21 are at the same distance from one another as the C-profile rails 24, and the second fasteners 14 are also at this distance from one another.
[0043] As can be seen in Figures 4 and 5, the first fasteners 1 are positioned transversely and the second fasteners 14 are positioned diagonally. The second fasteners 14 are positioned at an angle such that their hammer heads 15 can be inserted into the C-profile rails 24 through the longitudinal slots 25 of the C-profile rails 24 by bringing the facade panel 21, with its rear side 22 facing the C-profile rails 24, closer to the sides of the C-profile rails 24 having the longitudinal slots 25.
[0044] When the hammer heads 15 of the second fasteners 14 are located in the C-profile rails 24, the facade panel 21 is displaced or moved transversely to the C-profile rails 24, as shown by the arrow 26. Because the hammer heads 15 of the second fasteners 14 protrude through the longitudinal slots 25 into the C-profile rails 24, they do not move transversely with the facade panel 21 to the C-profile rails 24. Instead, when the facade panel 21 moves transversely to the C-profile rails 24, the second fasteners 14 rotate, as shown by the circular arrows 27 in Figure 5, about their axes of rotation perpendicular to the rear side 22 of the facade panel 21 through the anchors 11 or undercut anchors 13.
[0045] The facade panel 21 is moved transversely to the C-profile rails 24 until the fasteners 1, 14 are located on the C-profile rails 24 and the hammer heads 15 of the second fasteners 14 are positioned transversely in the C-profile rails 24, as shown in Figure 6. The hammer heads 15 positioned transversely in the C-profile rails 24 engage behind the C-profile rails 24 from the inside on both sides of the longitudinal slots 25 such that the second fasteners 14 are held to the C-profile rails 24. The second fasteners 14 hold the facade panel 21 attached to them to the two C-profile rails 24.
[0046] The hammer heads 15 of the second fasteners 14, which engage through the longitudinal slots 25 into the C-profile rails 24, form pivot joints 30, which are shown in Figure 6, with transverse axes 31 running transversely to the C-profile rails 24, about which the second fasteners 14 and with them the facade panel 21 can be pivoted.
[0047] When the facade panel 21 moves transversely to the C-profile rails 24, the facade panel 21 is pivoted about the transverse axis 31 of the pivot joints 30, which form the hammer heads 15 of the second fasteners 14 that engage in the C-profile rails 24, in such a way that the distance between the second stirrup flanges 18 of the second fasteners 14 and the C-profile rails 24 is increased such that the extensions 17 on the second stirrup flanges 18 of the second fasteners 14 can be moved transversely to the C-profile rails 24 over the sides of the C-profile rails 24 that have the longitudinal slots 25. This requires that the first fasteners 1 are brought closer to the C-profile rail 24, namely further than is the case in a desired position after completion of assembly. This is possible because the fasteners 1 are positioned transversely and the C-profile rail 24 is temporarily accommodated between the first flanges 4 of the first fasteners 1.If the hammer heads 15 of the second fasteners 14 are positioned transversely in the C-profile rails 24, the extensions 17 on the second stirrup flanges 18 of the second fasteners 14 are located above the longitudinal slots 25 of the C-profile rails 24. The facade panel 21 is now pivoted back into a position parallel to the C-profile rails 24, as a result of which the extensions 17 on the second stirrup flanges 18 of the second fasteners 14 enter the longitudinal slots 25 of the C-profile rails 24 and the step supports 20 of the second stirrup flanges 18 of the second fasteners 14 on both sides of the extensions 17 come into contact with the sides of the C-profile rails 24 having the longitudinal slots 25. The extensions 17 on the second bracket flanges 18 of the second fasteners 14, which engage in the longitudinal slots 25 of the C-profile rails 24, prevent movement of the second fasteners 14 transversely to the C-profile rails 24 by means of a positive fit in the longitudinal slots 25 of the C-profile rails 24.This prevents rotation of the second fasteners 14 on the rear side 22 of the facade panel 21 about their rotation axes perpendicular to the rear side 22 of the facade panel 21 and holds the hammer heads 15 of the second fasteners 14 in the rear grip in the C-profile rails 24.
[0048] Finally, the first fasteners 1 on the rear side 22 of the facade panel 21 are rotated so that their supports 7 rest on the C-profile rails 24 and the fastening holes 9 in the supports 7 are aligned with the longitudinal slots 25 of the C-profile rails 24. The first fasteners 1 are arranged on the rear side 22 of the facade panel 21 such that their supports 7 protrude upwards over an edge 32 of the facade panel 21 or generally over any edge of the facade panel 21.
[0049] The first fasteners 1 are fastened to the C-profile rails 24 at their supports 7 using known hammerhead fasteners 10, wherein the hammerhead fasteners 10 are each part of the first fastener 1 within the meaning of the invention. The hammerhead fasteners 10 are, as shown in Figure 6, inserted into the C-profile rails 24 through the fastening holes 9 in the supports 7 of the first fasteners 1 and positioned transversely in the C-profile rails 24 such that their hammerhead nuts (not shown) engage behind the C-profile rails 24 on the inside on both sides of their longitudinal slots 25. Screws 29 of the hammerhead fasteners 10 are tightened, whereby the supports 7 of the first fasteners 1 are secured to the C-profile rails 24.
[0050] In general, the hammer head fasteners 10 of the first fasteners 1 form hammer head elements 28 of the first fasteners 1 and the hammer heads 15 of the second fasteners 14 form hammer head elements 28 of the second fasteners 14.
[0051] Figure 7 shows a further embodiment of the fastening system 2 according to the invention. This essentially corresponds to the structure shown in Figure 6, which is why only the differences will be discussed below. Compared to the structure in Figure 6, four second fasteners 14 are provided in the embodiment in Figure 7. The upper of the two fasteners 14 replace the first fasteners 1 shown in Figure 6. A stop plate as a stop element 33, which is connected to the C-profile rail 24 (for example, welded, glued, or non-positively secured), ensures that the respective upper second fastener 14 does not change its position relative to the C-profile rail 24. In other words, the upper second fasteners 14 can be supported on the respective stop elements 33. Fl W 2885.2 13.03.2023
