Description

Domain of the invention

[0001] The present invention belongs to the mechanical engineering and construction domain, specifically for installing holders for various posts on existing terrain. The invention is a reversible built-in holder with a foundation anchor for post placement. The invention is classified as E04H 12 / 22 according to the international patent classification. Background of the invention and the technical problem

[0002] Posts are technical objects, usually of rod or pipe shape, performing a certain function. The most typical examples of posts are sunshade posts, flag posts, traffic signs, marking tables, moorings for vessels, fence posts, posts for setting up cords for drying clothes and the like. Posts need an appropriate holder to stand in that attaches to the existing terrain. Holders for the undemanding use of posts consist of a base plate and a tube into which the posts are inserted. Holders prevent the movement of the posts and thereby ensure their stability under the load. The posts are installed in the post holders with a dismantlable joint.

[0003] Post supports can be temporarily or permanently placed on existing ground. For example, movable and temporarily mounted holders of beach umbrellas can move freely on the terrain and provide stability with their weight. At the same time, the second type of post is built into the existing terrain. In this case, an anchor is built into the terrain that provides adequate load capacity and cannot be moved or easily removed. An example of such support is beach umbrella posts, which cannot be moved and are permanently installed with the help of anchors in the ground or concrete. After the post is removed, the holder remains on the ground and does not perform any function but may represent an obstacle. The holder is often connected to the anchor or is part of it.

[0004] The technical problem addressed by the present invention is the problem of quick assembly and disassembly of the post holders and storing the holders below ground level in the foundation anchor.Prior art

[0005] Documents US2006032522, US20210222380, US4702047, US3011598 and CA2414269 describe sunshade holders with self-tapping anchors, which are not covered by the present invention.

[0006] Patent US6234434B1 discloses a folding base for parasols and Christmas trees. The shape of the base allows it to be folded so that it takes up less space during storage. This solution is unsuitable for installation in the ground; it does not allow the holder to be stored in the ground, and it also differs in shape from the present invention.

[0007] Patent application US20190345731 discloses a sun umbrella holder for placing in sand with the aid of water. Water is poured into the upper part of the post, which flows out at the bottom and thus carries away or softens the sand so the holder can be installed at the appropriate depth. It is used exclusively for placement in loose material and cannot store the holder in a part below ground level.

[0008] Patent application GB2515094A describes a device for placing and fixing posts below ground level; by screwing the ribs, they are spread into the ground and fix the post. A related solution is described in CA2609896, which relates to an anchor with a system for placing, driving into the ground and ensuring post stability. This solution does not allow storing the post holder.

[0009] Patent application US4615156A discloses a device for rapid post placement. It consists of two parts: one is embedded in the ground, and the other is a post of the appropriate shape. By screwing and deforming the part embedded in the ground, the post is fixed. This solution does not allow storage of the holder.

[0010] Patent application US4320608A relates to an anchor for installing round posts into the ground using a wedge but does not allow storage of the holder.

[0011] European patent EP3478114B1 relates to a sun umbrella for protection from the sun or rain, provided with a pivoting open rod which is provided with a cover and is movably mounted on the central post of the umbrella, whereby movement of the rod assembly can move the cover from folded to open position, and the centre post is placed on the anchor device in the ground. According to the invention, the sun umbrella can be retracted in its folded state into a support, at least partially installed in the ground. The holder is designed as a box element, in which the anchoring device of the umbrella is installed in an adjustable manner. The solution differs from the invention in how it is installed in the ground and other aspects, since the present invention does not allow the storage of the entire sun umbrella in the holder.

[0012] Patent US10287793B1 describes a terrain attachment system. The basic cylindrical part is built into the terrain, and the sun umbrella is attached to it with the help of a thread. It does not allow the holder of the sun umbrella to be stored and requires a suitable post shape, as sun umbrella posts without a thread cannot use this system.

[0013] Patent application US2013161474 discloses a post that is installed or anchored in the ground and includes a base unit for anchoring in the ground, which continues with a sleeve directed towards the depth of the terrain, and a support unit that is attached to the base unit so that it can be tilted in relation to the base unit in all directions. An adjustment and locking mechanism between the base unit and the post-mount unit allows the post-mount unit to be tilted and levelled in all directions. Said support unit cannot be stowed in the base unit, leaving a protruding part of the stand, which is a key difference of the present invention.Description of the solution to the technical problem

[0014] The present invention solves the disadvantages of the known solutions. It enables stable installation of the post holder on the ground and storage when the post is not in use so that all or most of the device is placed below ground level. The technical problem is solved as defined in the independent claims, while preferred embodiments are described in dependent claims.

[0015] The reversible built-in post holder is an accessory that allows the installation of all types of posts fixed or inserted in tube-shaped brackets and requires repeated and easy installation and removal. The essence of the invention is that the reversible built-on post holder allows the post holder to be stored in the foundation anchor when the post is not installed in the holder. This effect is achieved by the reversible built-in holder incorporating: a foundation anchor adapted for installation in the ground, said anchor comprising: ∘ a base hollow body, ∘ an anchor connecting element with an opening to allow insertion of the holder adapted to receive the post, being located on the upper part of the base hollow body, a holder adapted to receive the post, wherein the holder comprises: ∘ the hollow body of the holder, ∘ the connecting element of the holder, wherein the holder adapted to receive the post has two orientations, viz: an assembled position when in use in which the holder connecting element is mounted on the anchor connecting element and the two connecting elements are connected by a suitably stable dismantlable joint, for example, by bolts, such that the anchor supports the holder and allows the post to be received in the hollow body of the holder, or the hollow body of the anchor, a folded position in which the holder is folded into the anchor so that the hollow body of the anchor surrounds the hollow body of the holder, wherein the joining elements of the anchor and the holder are joined by a suitably stable dismantlable joint, such as bolts. The upper surface of the holder shall preferably be level with the ground where the holder is installed.

[0016] The anchor adapted for installation in the terrain comprises a primary hollow body, preferably having a cross-section in the form of a circle, cylinder, square, rectangle or hexagon, and a connecting element of the anchor with an opening. The basic hollow body of the anchor is joined to the connecting element of the anchor. The anchor connecting element can be of any shape, depending on the design of the dismantlable joint between the holder and the anchor, and has an opening that allows the insertion of a holder adapted for the reception of the post into the base hollow body of the anchor. Preferably, the connecting element is designed as a plate.

[0017] The anchor may have an added rib or multiple ribs, which improve the stability of the installation in the terrain. The anchor can be ribless, depending on the attachment method to the terrain. The shape of the rib is arbitrary, but preferably, the ribs are the same, formed in such a way that the wider part is on the lower part of the hollow body of the anchor and narrower at the top, where the anchor connecting element is placed. Preferably, the connecting element is designed as a plate.

[0018] The connecting elements of anchors and holders are connected with any dismantlable joint, for example, with screws. Instead of screws, other dismantlable joint types can also be used.

[0019] The post holder comprises a connecting element of the holder, which is used for fastening with a dismantlable joint to the connecting element of the anchor. The connecting element of the holder is connected to the hollow body of the holder, preferably by welding, but the holder can be made as a single piece. The connecting element may have a through hole that allows the post to be inserted deeper into the foundation anchor. The hollow body of the post holder is preferably a tube with a round cross-section, as posts are often of this shape. However, the hollow body of the holder can also be shaped differently, depending on the post's cross-section installed in the holder. It is important that the post can be inserted into the holder's hollow body and that the holder's hollow body can be fully accommodated in the hollow body of the anchor. The length of the anchor's hollow body is equal to, but preferably more significant than, the length of the hollow body of the holder.

[0020] The method of installing a reversible built-in post holder according to the invention comprises the following steps: a) making a hole of a suitable size and preferably a round or square profile for installing the mentioned anchor in the terrain, b) placement of the anchor so that the connecting element of the anchor is at the desired height to the surrounding terrain, c) fixing the anchor, preferably concreting, maximal to the connecting element of the foundation anchor, d) if desired, adding any material onto the fixed part of the anchor up to the desired height, or most often up to the height of the connecting element of the anchor, and e) placing the holder in an assembled or folded orientation.

[0021] The foundation anchor can be attached to the ground in different manners, depending on the user's preferences and terrain type. Concrete, pouring, backfilling, weighting, walling, glueing, welding, nailing, riveting, and screwing procedures can be used preferably for fixing the foundation anchor to the ground.

[0022] The invention can be used for the installation of sunshades, umbrellas, flag posts, traffic or advertising signposts, Christmas trees, fence posts, plant support posts, garden furniture posts, tent posts, sun sail posts, garden grill holders, garden furniture holders, garden fire devices and similar elements.

[0023] The present invention will be described in further detail based on an exemplary embodiment and figures, which show: Figure 1 Reversible built-in post holder according to the implementation example Figure 2 Installation of the reversible built-in holder Figure 3 Procedure for installing the post holder in the assembled position Figure 4 The process of storing the post holder in the folded position

[0024] Figure 1 shows a possible implementation example of a reversible mounting holder for posts S, comprising: an anchor (1) adapted for installation in the ground, comprising: ∘ a base hollow body (7) ∘ four ribs (8) extending in width and mounted on the outside of the base hollow body (7) ∘ an anchor plate (6) of anchor (1) with an opening being placed on the upper part of the base hollow body (7) a holder (2) adapted to receive the post (S), wherein the holder comprises: ∘ a hollow body (4) ∘ a plate (5) of the holder (2) where the reversible built-in holder has two orientations, namely: the assembled position, in which plate (5) of holder (2) is placed on plate (6) of anchor (1), and both plates (5), and (6) are joined with screws (3) so that holder (2) rests on anchor (1) and allows post (S) to be received in the hollow body (4) of the holder (2) a folded position in which holder (2) is folded into anchor (1) so that the hollow body (7) of anchor (1) surrounds the hollow body (4) of holder (2), the plate of holder (5) and anchors (6) are joined with screws (3) and are aligned to the desired height, preferably to the height of the existing terrain where the holder (2) is installed

[0025] The dismantlable joint (3) provides a stable connection between the anchor (1) and the post holder (2). The post (S) shall be installed in the post holder (2), the hollow body (4) of the holder (2) having a cross-section of such a shape and size to enable the insertion of the post (S). The anchor plate (6) shall have a hole allowing the insertion of the hollow body (4) of the holder (2) and shall generally be of the same size and shape as the cross-section of the hollow body of the anchor (7). The length of the hollow body (7) of the anchor (1) is greater than that of the hollow body (4) of the holder (2). If ribs (8) are present, they are of such a shape that they further improve stability, so the lower part is wider, and the upper part, which is closer to plate (6), is narrower. During use of the post (S), the holder (2) transfers the load via the dismantlable joint (3) to the foundation anchor (1).

[0026] The foundation anchor (1) is installed in the terrain so that the terrain can take the load of the post (S), as shown in Figure 2. The method of installing the reversible built-in post holder according to the invention comprises the following steps: a) excavation of a suitable hole for the installation of foundation anchor (1) in terrain (T) with soil (Z), b) placement of anchor (1) so that the plate (5) of anchor (1) is at the desired height (NT) to the surrounding terrain, c) fastening of anchor (1), usually by concreting, so that the concrete (B) reaches at maximum up to the height of plate (5) of anchor (1), d) filling up to the desired height, maximum up to the height of the plate (5) anchors (1), and e) placing holder (2) in assembled or folded orientation.

[0027] The use of the reversible built-in holder is shown in Figure 3 and Figure 4. The screws (3) are unscrewed from the foundation anchor (1), then the holder (2) is pulled out and turned. It is attached to the foundation anchor (1) with screws (3) so that the hollow body (4) of the holder (2) faces upwards, as shown in Figure 1. Thus, the reversible post holder is ready for use. When the post is no longer in use and withdrawn, the screws (3) are unscrewed, the plates (5 and 6) are separated, and the holder (2) is turned with the hollow body (4) downwards so that it can be received by the hollow body (7) of the anchor (1). The holder is thus folded, and the plate (5) is located at the height requested by the user.
