Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to an industrial knife with a base body and a replaceable cutting part, wherein the cutting part can be coupled to a base body surface in a force-locking and / or form-locking manner, as well as with at least one connecting means according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] From DE 10 2022 102 557 A1 a cutting knife is already known which has a knife holder with a detachably attached knife blade.
[0003] The knife blade is mounted on the knife holder in a force-locking and form-locking manner. The knife blade has a cutting edge area and a clamping area, and is clamped between two clamping elements of the knife holder in the clamping area. Corresponding form-locking elements are formed on the knife blade and the knife holder, which interlock when the cutting knife is assembled.
[0004] On the knife blade side, there are two recesses in the form of at least two grooves, while on the knife holder side, there are at least two correspondingly shaped elevations. These have a pin shape. When the cutting knife is assembled, the pins engage in the grooves.
[0005] The two clamping bodies are clamped together by means of an additional screw connection.
[0006] Such a solution of a replaceable cutting edge for a knife has several gaps as well as projections and recesses, which can collect dirt or which can only be cleaned after complete assembly, which precludes the transfer of such a connection technology for industrial knives in the field of food processing.
[0007] The blade for cutting machines according to DE 203 13 038 U1 consists of a blade base body and an associated cutting body with corresponding cutting edges. The cutting body is connected in a force-locking and form-locking manner via a joint provided between the blade base body and the cutting body. The joint can be designed, for example, as a tongue-and-groove joint. To ensure a secure connection, an additional joining agent must be applied.
[0008] However, it has been shown that a tongue-and-groove connection is not suitable for highly stressed industrial knives. The use of a joining agent in the form of an adhesive poses additional problems in the food processing industry.
[0009] In the food processing industry, one is faced with the challenge of working according to the highest hygiene standards on the one hand, but also being able to operate economically efficiently on the other.
[0010] In order to meet common requirements, disposable knives were used in the past, which are made of a single material and are disposed of after each use.
[0011] An alternative is the use of reusable knives with replaceable cutting blades.
[0012] With such a solution, the main body of the knife remains intact and is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each use.
[0013] The knife's cutting blade, which is subject to the most wear and tear, can be easily replaced. This allows the base body to be used for a longer period of time and reduces waste. Replaceable cutting blades therefore provide a cost-effective solution.
[0014] However, as can be seen from the state of the art briefly outlined at the beginning, the method of joining the base body and cutting blade components is of particular importance. The joining of the components should be simple and cost-effective and, moreover, result in an extremely narrow gap width at the corresponding connecting or coupling surface.
[0015] From the above, it is therefore an object of the invention to provide a further developed industrial knife or a connecting means which, through the connecting process, minimizes the gap distance between the basically existing coupling surfaces, without increasing costs during the intended reuse of the base body or the replacement of the cutting part.
[0016] The object of the invention is achieved with the combination of features according to claim 1 or the inventive use of the connecting means according to claim 11, wherein the subclaims comprise at least expedient embodiments and further developments.
[0017] The invention therefore assumes an industrial knife with a base body and a replaceable cutting part, with the cutting part being able to be coupled to a base body surface in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner. Furthermore, at least one connecting means is provided for coupling the base body and cutting part.
[0018] According to the invention, the connecting means is designed as a shaped body comprising a web and two opposing forming heads, with the base body and cutting part each having a recess complementary to the respective forming head. This recess transitions into a channel or groove in the direction of a coupling surface.
[0019] The corresponding channel or groove begins at the coupling surface and extends into the recess complementary to the respective forming head.
[0020] The recess and the respective channel or groove form a cavity into which the molded body can be inserted.
[0021] According to a first embodiment, the mold body has means for generating a clamping or pressing force between the mold heads and thus the coupling surface as well as the base body and the cutting part.
[0022] These means may include a screw or bolt connection including the web.
[0023] In this regard, a forming head can have a bore with an internal thread, into which a screw bolt with a corresponding external thread engages. The screw bolt penetrates a bore in the second of the forming heads and has a screw head. If a tool is then applied to the screw head, a clamping force can be applied to the forming heads located in the respective recesses. As a result, the base body and cutting part are pressed together in the area of the coupling surface, minimizing the gap there.
[0024] In this respect, the recesses in the base body and / or in the cutting part provide access for operating the screw or bolt connection.
[0025] For example, the respective recess can be circular, partially circular, or polygonal. As already explained, the connecting element can be used to minimize the gap between the base body surface and the opposite surface of the cutting part. This effectively prevents the ingress of contamination during use of a corresponding knife.
[0026] In a preferred embodiment, the base body surface and the cutting part form a butt-fitting coupling surface.
[0027] In addition, a supporting guide or support surface or a corresponding surface section can be formed below or above the butt-formed coupling surface.
[0028] In a second embodiment of the invention, the molded body consists of a hardening, initially liquid mass, which can be introduced into the cavity.
[0029] During the curing process, the filler material shrinks. This creates a clamping force between the base body and the cutting edge, which also minimizes the coupling surface gap.
[0030] When forming the connecting means according to the first embodiment, a remaining cavity can be closed with a food-safe filling compound, whereby the connecting element can be concealed.
[0031] This food-safe filling compound also secures the bolt or screw connection against unwanted loosening.
[0032] According to the invention, the fastener design with screw or bolt connection can be combined with an additional fastener based on a hardening filler to create an additional form-fitting connecting element.
[0033] The invention will be explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments and with the aid of figures. Here we show:
[0034] Fig. 1 an exemplary representation of a part of an industrial knife body with coupled cutting part and connecting means according to the invention as well as with additional support surface in the area of the coupling surface; Fig. 2 a representation similar to that according to Fig. 1 , but with a coupling surface perpendicular to the direction of force action (arrow representation) without additional support; Fig. 3 a perspective view of an exemplary connecting element based on a screw or bolt connection; Fig. 4 a perspective view of the connecting element according to Fig. 3with indicated direction of force action F1 or F2; and Fig. 5 an exemplary design of recess and channel or groove and the resulting cavities in these elements to be connected, namely the base body and the replaceable cutting part.
[0035] The Figure 1 and 2 The industrial knife shown as a section has a base body 1 and a replaceable cutting part 2.
[0036] The cutting part 2 can be coupled to a surface of the base body 1 in a force-locking and / or form-locking manner. In addition, a connecting means or connecting element 3 (see Figure 3 ) is provided.
[0037] In the illustration according to Figure 1 In the area of the coupling surface 10 there is still a support surface 7.
[0038] This support surface 7 supports the positioning and thus the form fit between the base body 1 and the cutting part 2.
[0039] The arrow representations in the Figure 1 and 2 symbolize the direction of force action using the connecting element 3 to minimize the gap in the area of the coupling surface 10.
[0040] When displaying according to Figure 2 There is no additional support surface in the area of the coupling surface 10. The recesses 8a and 8c as well as the channel or groove 8b form a cavity with various cavity chambers.
[0041] After inserting the connecting means 3 into the recess or the aligned grooves 8b and after exerting the corresponding clamping force to generate a corresponding pressure in the area of the coupling surface 10, the remaining cavities 8a, 8b and 8c can be filled with a food-compatible mass.
[0042] This mass, not shown in the figures, can also be used at the same time to secure the achieved force-locking connection, i.e. to prevent the screw connection with screw head 11 from becoming loose.
[0043] The Figure 3 now shows an exemplary connecting element 3 with web 6 and opposite forming heads 4 and 5.
[0044] The web 6 can be designed as a bolt or screw-like connector.
[0045] By using the screw head 11, the distance between the forming heads 4 and 5 can be reduced with appropriate thread sections that are executed in a professional manner.
[0046] If the connecting means 3 is located in the recesses or grooves as shown in Figure 1 and 2 the necessary pressing and clamping forces can be generated.
[0047] The directions of force action using the connecting element 3 are shown in the Figure 4 indicated.
[0048] The Figure 5 shows an exemplary design of the recesses 8a and 8c or the grooves or groove sections 8b and the resulting cavities.
[0049] It is possible to carry out the necessary connection between the base body and the cutting part without using a connecting means 3 according to the Figures 1 to 4 is used.
[0050] In this case, the cavity that is located after Figure 5 , is filled with a food-safe filling compound. When this compound hardens, it forms a form-fitting connecting element.
[0051] In summary, the base body 1 and the cutting part 2 are connected to each other by the connecting means 3 in a force-locking manner at their respective abutting surfaces or coupling surfaces.
[0052] Alternatively, the connection can be realized by an additional support surface 7 via a positive connection that acts in the direction of the applied forces F1 or F2.
