Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a collection container or waste container for preferably mixed materials such as plastic or glass bottles, cans, cartons, etc., as described in claim 1.
[0002] AT 411 354 B discloses a container with a preferably closable lid. The lid can be round or flat. The container is used for collecting recyclable materials, particularly lightweight, bulky plastic containers, such as hollow plastic containers or plastic bottles. The lid provides at least two insertion openings, each equipped with a chute or scoop running at an angle to the lid surface.
[0003] Furthermore, from the applicant’s EU model 015026355-0001 / 015026355-0002 a collection container or waste container with a large opening is known, as it is in Figure 1The disadvantage here is that users are not prevented from throwing larger objects into the container that do not actually belong there.
[0004] Furthermore, waste bins with an inner bucket and a lid hinged to the outer bucket are known according to EP 0426956 A1. The opening is closed with a flap and opened by foot-operated pedal operation. In such waste bins, the use of flaps is intended to prevent the unpleasant odor of the collected waste, so that the flap completely closes the opening.
[0005] The object of the invention is to create a collection container or waste container in which, on the one hand, the above-mentioned disadvantages are avoided and, on the other hand, a certain optical protection is achieved by a smaller insertion opening.
[0006] This object is achieved by the invention. Advantageous embodiments and method measures are described in the subclaims.
[0007] The object of the invention is achieved by a collection container or waste container in which a separating flap is arranged within the insertion opening, which is designed or fastened to pivot inwards.
[0008] The advantage of this is that it visually reduces the opening, thus creating a visual barrier. However, the pivoting arrangement of the separating flap allows larger items to be thrown in. This is intended to prevent people from simply throwing anything into the container if there is no "obstacle" in the form of the flap.
[0009] It is advantageous to design the divider flap on the top side, i.e., on the opposite side of the hollow body, attached to the insertion chute by at least one hinge or hinge joint. This ensures that when the divider flap is folded back or away, the insertion chute below is exposed. This allows larger items to be easily discarded.
[0010] A design in which the separating flap on the lower side, i.e. the side associated with the hollow body, is freely movable against the insertion chute or lid is advantageous. This ensures that waste is easier to insert thanks to the free movement of the separating flap on the lower side. Users do not have to open the flap manually, as it opens automatically when the waste is inserted. Furthermore, the free movement means that the disposal process can be faster, as users can insert the waste without delay and without the flap having to be opened manually. This significantly increases user-friendliness by minimizing the amount of effort required to operate it. This is particularly important in situations where users may have their hands full or have limited mobility.
[0011] A design in which the separating flap reduces the large insertion opening to a small one is advantageous. This allows the targeted reduction of the insertion opening to help reduce misplaced items.
[0012] A design in which the dividing flap divides the large opening into two smaller openings is advantageous. This ensures that the waste pile is divided into two within the hollow body, meaning that the available volume of the collection container or waste bin is more effectively utilized. Furthermore, the specific size of the openings encourages users to dispose of their waste in the correct category.
[0013] It is advantageous to have the separating flap attached to the insertion chute via a spring-loaded hinge. This ensures that the flap automatically returns to its original position after it has been opened.
[0014] A design in which the openings are adapted to the diameter of the collected items is advantageous. This ensures that users are visually alerted to the item being collected.
[0015] According to a special feature of the invention, the insertion opening is angled to the surface of the lid, extending to the edge of the flat lid. This ensures convenient insertion, especially for smaller users.
[0016] A design that allows for barrier-free disposal of waste is advantageous. This is achieved because the flap can be easily folded inward, making access as easy and convenient as possible for all users, regardless of their physical abilities or limitations. This means that everyone can deposit waste or waste without unnecessary obstacles or difficulties, as the flap can be easily folded inward.
[0017] Finally, training that allows for touchless disposal of waste for hygiene reasons by opening the lid is advantageous. This ensures that users do not come into direct contact with the lid or other parts of the container, which can reduce the spread of germs, bacteria, or other pathogens. It offers users a convenient and easy way to dispose of waste or collected items without having to make physical contact with the lid.
[0018] The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings. It should be noted that the inventive solution is not limited to the drawings shown.
[0019] They show: Fig. 1 shows a front view of a collection container from the prior art, in a simplified, schematic representation; Fig. 2 shows a front view of a collection container with a separating flap according to the invention in the rest position, in a simplified, schematic representation; Fig. 3 shows a front view of a collection container with a pivoted separating flap according to the invention, in a simplified, schematic representation; Fig. 4 shows a further embodiment of a front view of a collection container with a separating flap according to the invention in the rest position, in a simplified, schematic representation.
[0020] By way of introduction, it should be noted that in the described embodiment, identical parts or states are provided with identical reference symbols or identical component designations, whereby the disclosures contained in the entire description can be transferred analogously to identical parts or states with identical reference symbols or identical component designations.
[0021] In the Figures 1 to 4 a collection container 1 or waste container 1 is shown, in which Figure 1 a design in accordance with the state of the art, in particular the EU design EU 015026355-0001 / 015026355-0002, of the applicant.
[0022] As now Figure 1As can be seen, the collection container 1 or garbage container 1 consists of a hollow body 2 or container body 2 in which the collection or collected goods 3, such as plastic or glass bottles, cans, cardboard, etc., or the garbage 3 is collected. The hollow body 2 can be made of various materials, such as plastic or metal, etc., whereby in the illustrated embodiment the hollow body 2 is preferably made of plastic.
[0023] To facilitate transport, in the illustrated embodiment, the hollow body 2 is equipped with wheels 4, preferably four wheels 4. The wheels 4 are pivotally mounted on the bottom of the hollow body 2, allowing them to be easily moved or relocated. For this purpose, a braking device (not shown) may be provided on at least one wheel 4, allowing the wheel 4 to be locked, thus keeping the collection container 1 or waste container 1 stationary in a specific location.
[0024] Furthermore, the collection container 1 or garbage container 1 has a lid 5. The lid 5 is preferably rounded, i.e. the lid 5 is not straight or flat, but forms a semicircular elevation. For the sake of completeness, it should be mentioned that the lid 5 can also be straight or flat. In order to open the lid 5 easily, it is connected to the hollow body 2 via a lateral opening mechanism or at the back by a hinge (not shown). Preferably, a design with a rear hinge is provided so that it can be easily lifted. So that the collected material 3 can be thrown in without opening the lid 5, a throw-in chute 6 with a large throw-in opening 7 is provided, with an opening 8 on the lid 5 in the area of the throw-in chute 6.The insertion opening 7 is arranged vertically in the front area of the lid 5 so that the collected material 3 can be easily inserted. Furthermore, the insertion opening 7 and the insertion shaft 6 extend almost across the entire width of the hollow body 2 or lid 5, so that the collected material 3 can be distributed across the entire width of the hollow body 2. For the sake of clarity, it should be mentioned that there are also collection containers 1 or garbage containers 1 with two separate insertion shafts with correspondingly smaller insertion openings available on the market.
[0025] Unfortunately, it has been found that with such collection containers 1 or garbage bins 1 with a single large opening 7, people simply throw in all the things that should not be thrown in.
[0026] To avoid this, according to the Figures 2 to 4the collection container 1 or garbage bin 1 is equipped with an optical separating flap 9. The separating flap 9 is arranged within the large insertion opening 7, which is designed or fastened so as to be pivotable inwards. The separating flap 9 is fastened to the upper side of the insertion shaft 6 or the insertion opening 7 by means of at least one hinge, i.e. on the opposite side of the hollow body 2, the separating flap 9, in particular a top side 11, is fastened to the edge of the insertion opening 7, i.e. to the insertion shaft 6, via at least one hinge 10, wherein the hinge 10 pivots the separating flap 9 inwards, i.e. into the insertion shaft 6. In order to allow the separating flap 9 to be easily pivoted inwards, a lower side 12 of the separating flap 9 rests freely on the lid 5 or on the insertion opening 7, so that the separating flap 9 is held only by the hinge(s) 10.It is important that the free movement of the separating flap 9 on the lower side 12 is designed to improve the functionality of the collection container or waste bin without compromising stability and reliability.
[0027] In the Figures 2 and 3 a variant is shown in which the separating flap 9 is preferably arranged in the middle of the insertion opening 7 and divides the large insertion opening 7 into two smaller insertion openings 7a and 7b.
[0028] This is intended to encourage people to only throw in the designated waste 3. For this purpose, an information sticker 13 for the waste 3 to be thrown in is arranged on the hollow body 2, and a smaller information sticker 14 can be attached directly to the separating flap, which again draws people's attention to the waste 3 directly next to the insertion openings 7a and 7b. Preferably, the smaller insertion openings 7a and 7b are adapted to the size of the waste 3 to be collected, so that a single waste 3 can be thrown in without problems. Should a larger waste 3 be thrown in, this can be done simply by pushing away the separating flap 9, as shown in Figure 3As shown, the collected goods 3 are tossed in. For example, people collect the collected goods 3 at home in bags, so that full bags containing multiple collected goods 3 can be thrown in at once by folding back the dividing flap 9. In principle, such collection containers 1 or garbage bins 1 should allow for the disabled to insert small parts or individual parts as well as bags. The dividing flap 9 can also serve as an advertising or information surface.
[0029] In Figure 4A further embodiment is shown in which the collection container 1 or garbage bin 1 is equipped with only a small insertion opening 7a instead of the large insertion opening 7. Here, the separating flap 9 is again provided, which is attached on one side to the insertion shaft 6 with hinges 10, and the other side 12 of the separating flap 9 rests freely on the lid 5. Thus, in this variant, the separating flap 9 can also be pushed inwards in order to insert larger collection items 3 or bags.
[0030] For the sake of completeness, it should be mentioned that several, in particular two, separating flaps 9 can also be provided within a large insertion opening 9 to reduce the size of the large insertion opening 7. This allows three or more small insertion openings 7a, 7b to be formed, wherein the separating flaps 9 are designed to pivot inwards in order to also be able to insert larger objects or collected items 3.
[0031] Finally, for the sake of clarity, it should be noted that in the drawings, individual components and assemblies are shown disproportionately and to scale for a better understanding of the invention.
