Cosmetic article and kit for applying cosmetic products

Abstract

The present description concerns a cosmetic article for applying or cleaning eyelids and eyelashes comprisinga first and a second pads overlapping each other, wherein the pads are joined together at two joining points to form an opening for receiving the eyelashes between the two pads, which opening is delimited by said joining points, so that each of the pads comprises two flaps arranged each on a side opposite relative to a line that connects the two joining points, with a first flap for contact with the eyelid and a second one for grip by the user.

Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present disclosure falls within the cosmetics field, in particular relating to a cosmetic article for cleaning or applying cosmetic compositions to the facial region, in particular eyelids and eyelashes.BACKGROUND

[0002] In the cosmetics field, in particular for the facial skin care, especially the eyes, facial care and make-up products are widely used, as is generally known.

[0003] With the growth of digital exposure, there has been a significant increase in the demand for cosmetic products, in particular make-up. As a direct consequence of this increase, there is also a growing demand for cleansing products, which are necessary for the maintenance and preservation of skin health.

[0004] The daily use of these products requires its removal, whether for a total cleansing of the facial skin or for the application of night-time skin care.

[0005] All these procedures require the use of products, typically disposable cotton or non-woven fabric discs or balls, or sponges or other reusable or single- or multiple-use utensils.

[0006] In the make-up removal area, the most common solution is cleansing discs, in several shapes, onto which the cleansing product is applied, and which are then used on the face to remove cosmetic products, especially make-up.

[0007] However, there are some drawbacks to using these conventional discs, such as the time-consuming make-up removal process due to the numerous wipes required and the aggressiveness of their use as repeated wiping with the disc is needed until the target area is completely cleaned.

[0008] In particular, eyelash make-up creates the greatest difficulties, namely due to the application of resistant and long-lasting mascaras (Rimmel), particularly waterproof mascaras.

[0009] The conventional process ends up being time-consuming, blurring the eye area too much, generating sensitivity, burning, discomfort and irritability, promoting, among others, premature aging of the eye skin.

[0010] Another problem arising from the use of traditional cleansing discs is the number of discs used to remove make-up, as the multiple wipes needed for complete make-up / impurity removal imply the use of several discs and cosmetic product, leading to a huge waste of materials and an increase in waste produced.

[0011] The are some solutions in the state of the art to overcome some of the problems caused by conventional cotton discs.

[0012] Japanese patent application JP2013220268 attempts to solve the problem of excessive friction in the eyes. It discloses a cotton disc shaped like the contour of the eyes, which adapts to them, thus reducing pressure on same. This solution does not, however, solve the need for excessive wiping with the disc until the product is completely removed, as it maintains the ineffective contact between the eyelashes and the disc.

[0013] Patent application CN217771722 discloses a cleansing disc with a waterproof layer comprising an isolated water storage layer on the cosmetic cotton disc, which has the advantages of preventing the cosmetic cotton from becoming completely soaked and making it easy to hold when removing make-up.

[0014] There are other solutions in the art that attempt to solve some of the problems identified above, but none of them in a simple, effective and sustainable way like that of the present disclosure.

[0015] These facts are described in order to illustrate the technical problem solved by the embodiments of the present document.GENERAL DESCRIPTION

[0016] The present disclosure falls within the cosmetics area, in particular concerning a cosmetic article for cleaning or applying cosmetic compositions to the facial region, in particular eyelids and eyelashes.

[0017] The existing make-up removal methods often involve abrasive materials or aggressive products, which can cause irritation, redness and discomfort in the eye region.

[0018] The present disclosure aims to provide a gentle and effective solution for removing eye make-up, which can also be applied to the rest of the face.

[0019] One of the advantages of the present disclosure is the reduction of friction and irritation in the delicate eye area, while effectively removing all traces of make-up.

[0020] Surprisingly, the present cosmetic article also allows a precise and controlled make-up removal without causing irritation or discomfort in the delicate eye area, namely eyelids and eyelashes. By reducing irritation and discomfort, skin elasticity is preserved.

Claims

1. Cosmetic article for applying or cleaning eyelids and eyelashes comprising a first (1) and a second (2) pad overlapping each other, wherein the pads are joined together at two joining points (8) to form an opening (3) for receiving the eyelashes (4) between the two pads, which opening (3) is delimited by said joining points (8), so that each of the pads comprises two flaps arranged each on a side opposite relative to a line that connects the two joining points (8), with a first flap for contact with the eyelid and a second one for grip by the user.

Cosmetic article according to the previous claim, wherein the pads are foldable along the line that connects the two joining points (8) so that the first flap (1.1) of the first pad (1) and the first flap (2.1) of the second pad (2) form a contact surface with the lower and upper eyelids of the eye.

3. Cosmetic article according to the previous claim, wherein the first flap (1.1) of the first pad (1) forms a part of the contact surface for contact with the upper eyelid and the first flap (2.1) of the second pad (2) forms a part of the contact surface for contact with the lower eyelid.

4. Cosmetic article according to any one of the previous claims, wherein the pads are foldable along the line that connects the two joining points so that the second flap (1.2) of the first pad (1) and the second flap (2.2) of the second pad (2) join together to form said grip.

Cosmetic article according to any one of the previous claims, wherein the pads are foldable along the line that connects the two joining points (8) so that the first flap (1.1) of the first pad (1) and the first flap (2.1) of the second pad (2) join together and so that the flap of the first pad and the flap of the second pad join together to arrange the article in a storage configuration.

Cosmetic article according to any one of the previous claims, wherein the pads are foldable along the line that connects the two joining points (8) so that the first flap (1.1) of the first pad (1) and the second flap (1.2) of the first pad (1) join together and so that the first flap (2.1) of the second pad (2) and the second flap (2.2) of the second pad (2) join together to arrange the article in a storage configuration.

7. Cosmetic article according to any one of the previous claims, wherein the pads are joined together at said joining points (8) by gluing, ultrasonic welding, sewing, clipping, eyelets, press fitting or pressure springs, or combinations thereof.

8. Cosmetic article according to any one of the previous claims, wherein the first pad (1) and second pad (2) are partially overlapped.

9. Cosmetic article according to any one of the previous claims, wherein the opening (3) has a length of 10 to 50 mm, preferably 12 to 45 mm, preferably 15 to 40 mm, more preferably 25 to 30 mm.

Cosmetic article according to any one of the previous claims, wherein the material of the pads (1,2) is selected from: cotton, paper, cardboard, wood, straw, jute, bamboo, cork, corn starch, polymers, latex, rubber, polylactic acid, bioplastic, natural fibre, fruit peels, dried leaves, coconut shell, natural silk or mixtures thereof; in particular, the material of the pads is fabric or non-woven fabric.

11. Cosmetic article according to any one of the claims, wherein the pads (1,2) are discshaped, oval-shaped, quadrangular, prismatic, polygonal, flower-shaped or heart-shaped.

12. Cosmetic article according to any one of the previous claims, wherein each pad has a length, along the line that connects the two joining points, from 50 mm to 80 mm and, in particular, if pads are circular or discs, a diameter of 50 mm to 80 mm.

13. Kit for applying or cleaning a user's eyelids and eyelashes comprising the cosmetic article according to any one of the previous claims and a cosmetic solution, in particular a cleansing solution, more in particular the cosmetic solution being soaked in one or both of the pads.
