Abstract
Description
[0001] Cooking appliance with a specific guide carriage for a retractable door
[0002] The invention relates to a cooking appliance with a door for closing a cooking chamber and with a housing in which a storage space is formed into which the door can be lowered, wherein a guide part is arranged in the storage space, on which a guide track for a guide carriage of the cooking appliance is formed for guiding the lowering movement of the door into the storage space.
[0003] From DE 102018201 950 A1 and DE 102020208 891 A1, cooking appliances with retractable doors are known which are coupled to guide carriages, whereby the guide carriages are guided by rollers in guide slots.
[0004] Furthermore, a cooking appliance with a retractable door is known from DE 10 2015226 009 A1. There, the storage space for the door is also delimited by lateral vertical, in particular plate-like, side walls. Guide tracks for a link slide or a guide slide are also formed in these side walls, which represent technical components. In this embodiment, these guide tracks are formed far down in the technical components when viewed vertically of the cooking appliance and thus also in the vertical direction of these technical components. This allows a guide movement of the door to be carried out in a specific sequence. In particular, this embodiment provides for a front end and a rear end of this guide track to be formed practically immediately adjacent to a lower edge of this technical component. The door is thus arranged far down at the start and end of the movement.
[0005] This type of design limits the ability to lower relatively wide doors. This is because the installation space is limited not only in width but also in height.
[0006] The object of the present invention is to provide a cooking appliance with a retractable door, wherein the guidance of the guide carriage is improved. In this context, a concept is also to be enabled that improves flexibility with regard to the use of different doors.
[0007] This object is achieved by a cooking appliance having the features of claim 1.
[0008] One aspect of the invention relates to a cooking appliance with a door for closing a cooking chamber. The cooking appliance further comprises a housing in which a storage compartment is formed. The door can be lowered into this storage compartment. The storage compartment is a space separate from a cooking chamber of the cooking appliance. Food can be placed in the cooking chamber for preparation. A guide part is arranged in the storage compartment, on which a guide track for a guide carriage of the cooking appliance is formed for guiding the lowering movement of the door into the storage compartment.
[0009] The guide part has a first guide track, which is located at the top as viewed in the vertical direction of the cooking appliance. The guide part also has a second guide track, separate from the first upper guide track and located at the bottom as viewed in the vertical direction. The guide carriage has several separate guide elements that rest on the two guide tracks to guide the guide carriage, particularly when the guide carriage moves simultaneously.
[0010] At least one guide element is arranged from above, resting on the lower guide track. At least one further guide element is arranged from below, resting on the upper guide track.
[0011] Such a concept makes it possible for the guide carriage to be moved particularly advantageously and with minimal tolerances.
[0012] In one embodiment, the guide carriage has at least one lateral guide element separate from the guide elements, which can be placed against a lateral guide track of the cooking appliance for laterally guiding the guide carriage in the width direction of the cooking appliance, in particular at least temporarily when the guide carriage is moved. This now makes it possible, in addition to the very specific concept with the guide elements and the guide tracks, which are specifically arranged relative to one another in the vertical direction and interact, thus enabling a particularly tolerance-minimized movement of the carriage in the vertical direction relative to the guide part, to also achieve a guide that likewise minimizes tolerances in the perpendicular direction, namely in the width direction. This creates a concept in which unwanted deflection of the guide carriage relative to the guide part and / or the lateral guide track is prevented in two spatial directions, namely the vertical and horizontal directions of the guide carriage, by explicitly provided guide elements that interact mechanically with specific guide tracks. The movement, which is thus to be performed particularly in the depth direction, can be maintained with particular precision thanks to this concept. This also has significant advantages for the movement of the door into or out of the storage space. This allows even relatively complex door movement sequences to be performed with particular precision and minimal tolerances. This also has the advantage of reducing jamming, spreading, or tilting of the door, especially the door leaf, during the lowering or extending movement into or out of the storage compartment. This significantly reduces or eliminates unwanted forces exerted on these components, thus significantly reducing wear and tear on these components over their lifetime.
[0013] The guide elements that rest on the upper and lower guideways can also be referred to as height guide elements. They are specifically designed to specify the vertical position of the guide carriage relative to the guide part. The upper and lower guideways can also be referred to as height guideways.
[0014] In one embodiment, the at least one lateral guide element is arranged between two front guide elements and two rear guide elements, viewed in the depth direction of the cooking appliance. Thus, the lateral guide element is positioned in particular relative to vertical guide elements arranged in pairs at different depth positions. This further improves the stability of the guide in these two spatial directions. The precision and tolerance-minimized coupling between the guide elements and the respective guide tracks is also improved.
[0015] In one embodiment, the at least one lateral guide element is arranged, viewed in the vertical direction, between two guide elements arranged at different heights, in particular vertical guide elements. It is possible for the guide elements that bear against the upper guide track and the lower guide track to have a first pair of such guide elements that are arranged offset from one another in the vertical direction, in particular arranged at different heights, wherein for this purpose the at least one lateral guide element is arranged between them, viewed in the vertical direction. However, in one embodiment, it can be arranged offset from this pair of guide elements in the depth direction.
[0016] The guide elements of the pair, which are located on the upper and lower guideways, can be positioned at the same depth in the depth direction.
[0017] A similar arrangement, as explained above, can also be provided for a further pair of guide elements that abut the upper guide track and the lower guide track. Here, too, in one exemplary embodiment, the respective positioning of the lateral guide element can be arranged between these two additional guide elements in the vertical direction, in particular additionally offset forward in the depth direction.
[0018] Preferably, two guide elements rest against the lower guide track from above and at least two further guide elements rest against the upper guide track from below. This provides four guide elements, in particular only and precisely four height guide elements, which are mechanically coupled in pairs to the upper guide track and the lower guide track for sliding or rolling along them. In particular, this makes it possible to achieve a very symmetrical arrangement of the guide elements, in particular the height guide elements. The precision of the movement guidance of the guide carriage is thereby further improved. In one embodiment, at least one guide element can be a roller. It is possible for all guide elements to be formed by rollers. This enables particularly uniform and smooth movement of the guide carriage along the guide tracks.
[0019] In another embodiment, at least one guide element can be a plain bearing. It is possible for all guide elements to be designed as plain bearings. In such an embodiment, the guide elements can be designed to be very space-saving and compact. This also minimizes the structure of the guide carriage, particularly in the vertical direction. A plain bearing is arranged on the guide carriage, in particular, without its own ability to move relative to it.
[0020] In one embodiment, the lower guide track is linear. Specifically, it extends horizontally in the depth direction of the cooking appliance. Such a linear guide track requires virtually no space vertically, as it has no curve or curved section. This further improves a vertically space-saving concept.
[0021] In one embodiment, the upper guide track is linear. Specifically, it extends horizontally along the depth of the cooking appliance. This also allows for advantages in terms of a compact vertical design. This also advantageously contributes to reducing the storage space in height, thus increasing the cooking space.
[0022] However, it is also possible for a guide part to be constructed in two parts. In this context, a first guide part element can comprise the upper guide track. A second guide part element can comprise the lower guide track. In such an embodiment, the guide parts can also be arranged at a distance from one another, viewed vertically.
[0023] In one embodiment, the guide carriage is coupled to the door by a hinge device of the cooking appliance. This hinge device supports the pivoting movement of the door when moving into the storage compartment and when moving out of the storage compartment, so that this pivoting movement can be carried out independently of the sliding movement of the guide carriage. In particular, the hinge device, viewed as a whole, can be arranged stationary in the housing of the cooking appliance. In particular, the arrangement can be formed on a base assembly of the housing. Preferably, the hinge device has its own guide components, such as the rollers. In one embodiment, these can engage in guide slots formed on the side of the door, such as guide grooves in particular. This allows the door, in particular the door leaf, to be moved relative to the hinge device and is guided in its movement by the engaging guide elements of the hinge device. It is also possible for the door, in particular the door leaf, to have a coupling device in a lower portion. This coupling device is intended to couple to the guide carriage. In particular, this articulated coupling is designed to be permanent, so that the door leaf can be moved, in particular also pivoted, relative to the guide carriage. In particular, it is provided that this coupling between the coupling device and the guide carriage is designed to be articulated.
[0024] In one embodiment, at least one guide element, viewed as a whole, is mounted on a support of the guide carriage in a positionally adjustable manner. This allows the guide element to be in constant contact with the guideway, particularly advantageously. Tolerances can then be compensated for by changing the position of the guide element on the support. In one embodiment, the at least one guide element can be arranged on the support mounted with a spring. The positional change is thus automatically enabled by the spring force acting on the guide element. This creates a particularly advantageous, robust, and, with regard to positional changes, very fast system.
[0025] Preferably, a guide carriage and a guide part are formed at opposite ends of the cooking appliance, viewed in the width direction. The two guide carriages and / or the two guide parts can be of identical design. In particular, the above-mentioned explanations and exemplary embodiments then apply to both guide carriages. The above-mentioned coupling device can then also be coupled to both guide carriages, in particular to a connecting rod that connects the two guide carriages.
[0026] The guide carriages formed on opposite sides are preferably connected by a connecting rod so that their position relative to one another can be maintained and no tilting or twisting occurs with respect to one another during movement. This positional coupling between the guide carriages enables smooth and even movement along the guide tracks. The door is advantageously connected to these guide carriages at its lower end, in particular rotatably connected thereto. The guide carriages are separate components from the hinge devices. The guide carriages are preferably connected to the door in a movement-coupled manner, with a rotation axis being formed at the connection point, around which the door can then rotate relative to a guide carriage. In contrast, the hinge device with the rollers already explained above not only enables a relative movement with respect to a rotation to one another, but also a relative sliding movement between the door and a hinge arm is provided by the guide grooves or guide tracks in the door, which are also formed on the side edges and have already been mentioned.
[0027] In one embodiment, at least one guide track is designed as a groove. This allows for a boundary of the guide track to be formed perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the guide track. This limits and, in particular, prevents unwanted movement of a guide element perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the guide track. This achieves particularly linear guidance of the guide element in the guide track, particularly in the depth direction.
[0028] In one embodiment, at least one guide track is designed to have a hump-like cross-section and thus perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. In particular, it can be convexly curved or trapezoidal in shape. Such a guide track shape also prevents undesired slippage of the guide element relative to the guide track, viewed in the width direction. Such a guide track shape also achieves particularly straight guidance of the guide elements along the guide track.
[0029] In one embodiment, a running surface of a guide element has a groove-like shape into which the hump-like region of the guide track engages. This complementary shape of the running surface of the guide element on the one hand and the guide track on the other hand significantly supports the aforementioned advantages.
[0030] In an advantageous embodiment, the storage space has a clear width of less than or equal to 45 mm, in particular between 40 mm and 44 mm, in the vertical direction, at least at one entrance. Preferably, this clear width, viewed in the vertical direction, extends over at least 50 percent, preferably at least 80 percent, in particular at least 90 percent, of the depth of the storage space measured in the depth direction.
[0031] This design makes the storage space particularly compact, allowing for maximum cooking space. If the cooking appliance's casing is of standard dimensions, this compact storage space can maximize the cooking space. However, it still allows for a wide door to be inserted and removed from the storage space.
[0032] In an advantageous embodiment, the door has a thickness of between 35 mm and 45 mm, in particular between 38 mm and 42 mm, preferably 40 mm. With such a configuration, it is then also possible for the door to have a multi-pane package with at least three panes, wherein a front pane, an inner pane and at least one intermediate pane can be provided. The panes are oriented parallel to one another and represent plate-like elements, in particular made of real glass. Especially with multiple door panes, in particular at least four such separate panes, the cooking appliance can also be designed with a pyrolysis function.
[0033] Especially with such a design, in which the door has the aforementioned advantageous thickness and the storage space has the aforementioned advantageous height, whereby the thickness is naturally always smaller than the height of the storage space, a relatively thick door can be retracted into a storage space that is then only slightly higher. The aforementioned mechanism then enables the door to be retracted or extended accordingly, even though the storage space is only slightly higher than the thickness of the door.In particular, this is achieved in that the door does not retract into the storage space or only retracts to a minor extent during the pivoting movement, in particular from the closed position into a horizontal open position, and the main retraction movement takes place starting from the horizontal open position, so that the linear movement of the door into the storage space essentially only takes place after the pivoting movement.
[0034] In an advantageous embodiment, in addition to or instead of this, it can be provided that the door has a width of between 530 mm and 545 mm, in particular between 535 mm and 540 mm, on its outer side viewed in the width direction. Such a wide door allows the gap dimensions to be improved. In particular, in this context, the gap dimensions to adjacent components such as front strips, which are designed as visible components or external parts of the cooking appliance on the front, can be improved. In particular, these gap dimensions can be set relatively small. In this context, the above-mentioned design of the door with its specific width dimension can achieve a uniform front appearance between cooking appliance variants, on the one hand with only a flap door, and on the other hand with the retractable door explained above. When the doors are closed, a uniform appearance can be offered for these two cooking appliance variants.
[0035] Advantageous embodiments of the above-mentioned aspect of the cooking appliance are to be regarded as advantageous embodiments of this further independent aspect of the cooking appliance.
[0036] The terms “top”, “bottom”, “front”, “back”, “horizontal”, “vertical”, “depth direction”, “width direction”, “height direction” etc. indicate the positions and orientations given when the device is used and arranged as intended and when an observer is standing in front of the device and looking in the direction of the device.

[0038] Embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to schematic drawings. They show:
[0039] Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a cooking appliance according to the invention;
[0040] Fig. 2 is a schematic vertical sectional view through the cooking appliance according to Fig. 1;
[0041] Fig. 3 is a side view of an embodiment of a portion of the cooking appliance according to Fig. 1 with my representation of a guide carriage and a guide part;
[0042] Fig. 4 is a front view of the arrangement according to Fig. 3; and Figs. 5a to 5d are exemplary sectional views through exemplary embodiments of shapes of rollers of the guide carriage and shapes of guide tracks.
[0043] In the figures, identical or functionally identical elements are provided with the same reference symbols.
[0044] Fig. 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a household appliance 1 designed as an oven. The household appliance 1 has a housing 2 in which a cooking chamber is defined by a muffle (not shown). Food can be placed in the cooking chamber for preparation. The cooking chamber can be closed at the front by a door 3, which is shown in the closed end position in Fig. 1. A handle 4 is formed on the front of the door 3.
[0045] In addition, the oven has an operating device 5, which in terms of position and display has, merely as an example, a display unit 6 and operating elements 7 and 8.
[0046] The housing 2 may have walls 9, 10, 11 and 12.
[0047] The door 3 can be pushed or lowered into the housing 2 in its lower region 13, which is the case when the door 3 is moved from the closed end position shown in Fig. 1 to the fully open and lowered end position. The door 3 is then arranged in a recessed manner in a free space of the housing 2, whereby a storage space 14 is formed through this free space, arranged below the cooking chamber and separated from it by a corresponding partition.
[0048] The door 3 is connected to door hinges shown and labeled as examples, which are examples of hinge devices 15 and 16, and can be pivoted via these hinges and can be retracted and extended into the aforementioned storage space 14. Fig. 2 shows a vertical sectional view (section plane yz-plane) of the cooking appliance 1. Here, the cooking chamber 17 can be seen, which is delimited by the aforementioned muffle.
[0049] It can be seen here that the storage space 14 has a clear width w which is measured in the height direction (y-direction) and which is in particular between 40 mm and 44 mm, preferably between 42 mm and 43 mm.
[0050] A thickness d (Fig. 2) of the door 3 is preferably between 38 mm and 42 mm, in particular 40 mm.
[0051] A width b of the door 3 measured in the width direction (x-direction), as shown in Fig. 1, is preferably between 530 mm and 545 mm, in particular between 535 mm and 540 mm.
[0052] Furthermore, a front pane 3a and an inner pane 3b and an intermediate pane 3c of the door 3 are also shown.
[0053] As shown in Fig. 3, which represents a view in the negative x-direction, the hinge device 15 can have a hinge housing 18. This can be arranged stationary in the housing 2. The hinge device 15 furthermore has a bearing unit 19 which has a bearing bracket 20. At least one guide element 21, here a roller, is rotatably mounted on the bearing bracket 20. This guide element 21 engages in a groove-like guide slot 22 which is formed on a side edge 23 of the door 3 and extends in the vertical direction when the door 3 is closed. The guide element 21 is thus guided in this guide slot 22, which is open laterally outwards when viewed in the width direction.
[0054] The guide slot 22 is formed in particular on a door leaf 24 of the door 3. The door leaf 24 is the plate-like front element of the door 3.
[0055] The door 3 also has a coupling device 25. With this
[0056] The coupling device 25 couples the door leaf 24 to at least one guide carriage 26 of the door 3. In particular, a guide carriage 26 is arranged on each of the opposite sides in the width direction. In particular, an articulated connection is formed here, so that the door leaf 3, when coupled to the guide carriage 26, can pivot relative to the door leaf, in particular about an axis oriented in the width direction (x-direction).
[0057] The cooking appliance 1 further comprises a guide part 27. The guide part 27 is arranged in the storage space 14. In particular, a guide part 27 is arranged on opposite sides in the width direction.
[0058] The guide carriage 26 is guided on this guide part 27. The guide part 27 can be rod-like or beam-like. It extends with its longitudinal axis in the depth direction (z-direction) of the cooking appliance 1. It is arranged in particular on a side wall that laterally delimits the storage space 14. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the guide part 27 has an upper guide track 28, viewed in the vertical direction (y-direction) of the cooking appliance 1. In one exemplary embodiment, this upper guide track 28 is rectilinear, in particular over at least the section along which the guide carriage 26 can move, in particular with a guide element. In addition, the guide part 27 has a lower guide track 29, viewed in the vertical direction. This guide track is arranged below the upper guide track 28.In one embodiment, the lower guide track 29 is designed to be rectilinear, in particular over at least that section over which the guide carriage 26 with guide elements can move.
[0059] The two guideways 28 and 29 are in particular oriented parallel to each other.
[0060] The guide carriage 26 shown here is the right-hand guide carriage when viewed from the front of the cooking appliance 1. In one exemplary embodiment, the cooking appliance 1 has a second guide carriage 26. This can preferably be constructed similarly to the guide carriage 26. It is then a left-hand guide carriage when viewed from the front of the cooking appliance 1. If two such guide carriages 26 are present, they can be connected by a connecting rod (not shown) that extends in the width direction. In one exemplary embodiment, the guide carriage 26 has several, here in particular exactly four, separate guide elements 30, 31, 32 and 33. In the exemplary embodiment in Fig. 3, only these four guide elements 30 to 33 are present; they are arranged on the guide carriage 26 shown and roll on the guide tracks 28 and 29.In the exemplary embodiment, these guide elements 30 to 33 are each designed as a roller. The guide elements 30 to 33 have running surfaces 30a, 31a, 32a, and 33a.
[0061] As can also be seen in Fig. 3, the guide elements 30, 31, 32, and 33, preferably four in this case, are arranged in pairs relative to one another both vertically and depthwise. Thus, the guide elements 30 and 31 are offset from one another vertically, but at the same depth in the depthwise direction. They therefore form a pair of front guide elements 30 and 31. These guide elements 30 and 31 can also be referred to as vertical guide elements. This is because they are in mechanical contact with their running surfaces 30a and 31a, with guide tracks offset in the vertical direction, namely the upper guide track 28 and the lower guide track 29.
[0062] In the exemplary embodiment, a further pair of guide elements 32 and 33 is provided. These are also vertical guide elements. They are offset from one another in the vertical direction, but are arranged at the same depth level relative to one another in the depth direction. Here, too, these guide elements 32 and 33, with their running surfaces 32a and 33a, are in direct contact with the guide tracks 28 and 29, which are offset in the vertical direction.
[0063] As can also be seen, the front upper guide element 30 is arranged at the same height as the rear upper guide element 33. Furthermore, the front lower guide element 31 is arranged at the same height as the rear lower guide element 32. As can be seen, the upper guide elements 30 and 33 rest from below on the upper guide track 28. Furthermore, the lower guide elements 31 and 32 rest from above on the lower guide track 29. The guide elements 30 to 33 are arranged on a support 34 of the guide carriage 26.
[0064] As can also be seen from the illustration in Fig. 3, the guide carriage 26 has at least one further guide element, which in this case is a lateral guide element 35. This means that, in contrast to the other guide elements 30 to 33, it is not intended for direct contact with guide tracks 28 and 29 offset in the vertical direction, but that it is intended to bear against a guide track offset in the width direction and thus a lateral guide track 36 (Fig. 4). Here, only one such lateral guide element 35 is provided. It has a running surface 35a which is designed to bear directly against this lateral guide track 36. The lateral guide element 35 can in particular be designed as a roller. In this case, it preferably has an axis of rotation 35b. This axis is oriented vertically here, for example, and thus oriented in the vertical direction. However, it is also possible for this rotational axis 35b to be tilted at an angle to the vertical. In this case, this lateral guide element can also be arranged at an upward or downward inclination. In particular, the contact surface of the lateral guide track 36 can then also be inclined accordingly, so that the running surface 35a also rests against this lateral guide track 36 over a large area and can roll along it.
[0065] As shown in Fig. 3, this lateral guide element 35 is also arranged on the carrier 34, on which the other guide elements 30 to 33 are also preferably rotatably mounted.
[0066] The lateral guide element 35 is arranged here, viewed in the vertical direction, between the guide elements 30 and 31 and / or between the guide elements 32 and 33. Viewed in the depth direction, this lateral guide element 35 is arranged offset rearward relative to the guide elements 30 and 31. In particular, viewed in the depth direction, it is arranged offset forward relative to the guide elements 32 and 33.
[0067] At least one guide element 30, 31, 32, 33 and / or the at least one lateral guide element 35 can be arranged on the support 34 in a spring-loaded manner. This means, in particular, that the guide elements 30, 31, 32, and 33 can be arranged in a spring-loaded manner in the vertical direction, and the lateral guide element 35 can be arranged in a spring-loaded manner in the width direction.
[0068] Fig. 4 shows a front view of the components in Fig. 3 and thus the right-hand configuration in the cooking appliance according to Fig. 1. In particular, it is possible for a corresponding additional guide carriage 26, as shown in Fig. 3, to also be arranged on the left-hand side in the storage space 14 of the cooking appliance 1, so that one such guide carriage is present opposite each other in the width direction. A corresponding guide part 27 can also be provided in this left-hand position of the storage space 4, on which guide part this additional guide carriage 26 is then arranged so as to be movable relative to it. In such an embodiment, the two guide carriages 26 can be connected to one another by a connecting rod, so that they are rigidly coupled to one another and guided concurrently in the depth direction. In one embodiment, this connecting rod can also be a component of the coupling device 25.
[0069] Fig. 5a to Fig. 5d show exemplary embodiments of shapes for running surfaces of guide elements and shapes of guide tracks. The sectional views shown here are not intended to be exhaustive, but merely represent some possible examples. For example, Fig. 5a shows a guide element 30 with its running surface 30a as an example. The guide track 28 shown here as an example is, viewed in the width direction, preferably delimited laterally by boundary walls 37 and 38. As a result, in this cross-sectional view, which is formed perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the guide track 28, a groove-like shape of the guide track 28 is formed. An axis of rotation 30b, around which a guide element 30 designed as a roller can rotate, is also shown. In this exemplary embodiment, the running surface 30 is rectilinear in this cross-sectional view.
[0070] Fig. 5b shows a representation corresponding to Fig. 5a, wherein the running surface 30a is groove-like. In particular, it is concavely curved. In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the guide track 28 is formed like a hump. In particular, it has a convexly curved dome. As a result, the running surface 30a sits with its concave shape on this convexly curved guide track 28. Here, too, slipping or displacement of the guide element 30 relative to the guide track 28, in particular in the width direction, is avoided or significantly limited. Fig. 5c shows an exemplary embodiment similar to Fig. 5b. The groove-like shape of the running surface 30a here differs from the exemplary embodiment in Fig. 5b. This groove-like shape is notch-like in cross-section, in particular V-notch-like, so that no continuous concave curvature region is formed.Figure 5d shows another embodiment. In this case, the running surface 30a is also groove-like. However, the contour is angular. A trapezoidal cross-sectional shape of the guide track 28 is preferably adapted to this. Here, too, a corresponding interlocking is realized, as shown in Figure 5d.
