Abstract
It is disclosed a method for producing a lignin-containing fibre composite wherein lignin-containing fibres are oxidized and treated with a protein adhesive followed by forming an airlaid fibre web. The airlaid web is heat treated to attach the protein adhesive to the fibre web whereby a lignin-containing fibre composite exhibiting good strength is provided.
