Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: HARNESS DEVICE FOR CARRYING AN OPTICAL OR OTHER SYSTEM IN OPERATIONAL CONFIGURATION ON A PHYSICAL PERSON.
[0001] The present invention relates to a harness device for carrying an optical or other system or apparatus by strap or rope in operational configuration on a physical person. The optical apparatus could be a photographic apparatus or a camera, for example, being of the known general type comprising a body provided with two attachment systems for anchoring a transport system therein. It could also be binoculars of a known general type with a body provided with two attachment systems for anchoring a transport device therein. The other systems being composed of a body provided with two anchoring members intended to receive a transport system therein.
[0002] By operational configuration it is meant that the transported system is ready to be used in its proper function such as for example shooting for a camera or a video camera, observation for binoculars and in their proper function for all other devices. To be operational the transport harness device must be put on in such a way as to guarantee both the stability of the optical or other system in its transport function and the mobility to allow its handling in its proper use.
[0003] To enable the carrying of optical or other devices, there are many transport systems at varying prices. Essentially made up of straps or ropes equipped with common and standard anchoring systems in order to adapt to the greatest number of existing devices. They can be simply passed around the neck, allowing both the transport and the free manipulation of the equipment. This type of strap is effective in its handling function during use in the proper use of said system, but unstable in its transport function causing discomfort because the body of the mobile device swings to the right and left and back and forth, which can even cause shocks harmful to the integrity of the equipment. They can be worn diagonally or across the body or sewn into a harness, ensuring greater stability, but these latter transport devices hinder and limit handling in the proper use of said device.
[0004] Existing systems do not combine the two necessary and indispensable, but diametrically opposed, qualities of stability in the carrying function and mobility in the function of handling and proper use of the equipment.
[0005] The problem underlying the invention is to propose a transport harness device which allows both stable transport and free manipulation of the optical or other system in operational configuration using the strap or rope, which is compatible with existing anchoring systems and which overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks of the systems of the state and the art.
[0006] In order to overcome the drawbacks presented by known systems for transporting an optical or other device in operational configuration, the invention proposes a transport device which is characterized in that it comprises:
[0007] A strap or rope.
[0008] A fastening system 7 which allows the two ends of the strap or rope to be connected in order to create a flexible but solid closed ring.
[0009] Furthermore, this attachment system 7, or a system foreign to the attachment system itself, can modify the diameter of the ring created by the strap or the rope such as for example an adjustment buckle made of plastic, metal or other.
[0010] Two anchoring systems 6, such as for example carabiners, for attaching the transport device to the two attachment members 11 provided for a carrying strap on the body of the device 5.
[0011] The two anchoring systems 6, such as for example carabiners with rotating bails or reels, are themselves mobile and can slide freely along the strap or rope.
[0012] Furthermore, such a transport harness device is sized and produced in accordance with existing standards for this type of equipment.
[0013] Advantageously for this purpose, the transport harness device according to the invention also has at least one of the following characteristics:
[0014] One of the advantages is to combine both the effective stability essential to the transport mode and the mobility of the transported device which allows the manipulation of the optical or other equipment in its proper function.
[0015] The two opposing functions, stability and mobility, are perfectly combined in the same transport harness device using straps or ropes.
[0016] Advantageously, the support surface of the transport harness device on the shoulders, on the back of the neck and on the torso is larger than with existing transport systems, which makes it possible to significantly reduce the pressure exerted by the weight of the transported device at the neck, thus protecting the cervical area.
[0017] Another advantage of the device in the transport position is that it does not swing and ensures better prevention of shocks which could jeopardize the integrity of the transported material.
[0018] Advantageously, the transport harness device uses a strap or a rope that follows a precise path. It passes behind the back, in front of the abdomen, then behind the neck.
[0019] The optical or other device being transported is anchored to the front of the abdomen or torso and makes the right and left sliding zones integral with each other. The obligatory passage zones for the strap or rope, which are the back, the abdomen and the back of the neck, play the role of a pulley which gives the whole a solidity and a tension which protects the transported device from theft.
[0020] Another advantage that arises from the flexible nature of the essential components of this transport harness device is that, once rolled up, it takes up very little space and can be stored in a pocket and can be easily and quickly reinstalled and reinstalled.
[0021] Another advantage which arises from the flexible nature of the essential components of this device is that the latter can adapt to the shape and design of optical or other devices by using the anchoring members 11 existing on said devices.
[0022] The transport harness device according to the invention can be made of water and weather resistant material, which allows use in difficult conditions without risk of deterioration.
[0023] Advantageously, the transport harness device according to the invention, the main constituent elements of which are flexible, can adapt to all body shapes and all clothing styles of users of optical or other devices.
[0024] In addition, the sliding zones 8 can be put under more or less tension, depending on the appropriate adjustment of the ring made by the strap thanks to the adjustment buckle 7, creating a rail intended to guide the device and facilitating its handling. The use of the system carried with one hand in extreme situations, such as for example taking photos while climbing a rock face, at the top of a boat mast, discreet shooting in reporting among other things is therefore possible.
[0025] The carrying harness device according to the invention has the advantage of protecting the optical or other device from possible falls by the route of the strap or rope behind the back and neck and in front of the abdomen or torso. The carrying harness device adapts to the morphology of children and thus allows them to use a relatively expensive optical or other system, minimizing the risk of damage or breakage.
[0026] The carrying harness device according to the invention has the advantage of being able to be used while carrying a backpack, whatever the load and volume of the latter, without altering any of the qualities of said device.
[0027] The advantages are non-limiting and the characteristics of the transport harness device according to the invention will follow from the description given below for non-limiting purposes. limiting, of an example of embodiment described with reference to the attached drawings in which:
[0028] Figure 1.12 shows an example of a sliding system with a bail carabiner 6 passing both through a split ring 10 attached to the body of a camera 5 and around the strap of the carrying harness device.
[0029] Figure 2.12 shows an example of a sliding system with a cord 14 passing both through a split ring 10 attached to the body of a camera 5 and around the strap of the harness device.
[0030] Figure 3.12 shows an example of a loop 7 for securely connecting the two ends of the strap together, thus creating a closed ring. In addition, this loop allows the diameter of the ring made by the strap to be adjusted. This example is not limiting and may be any other type of adjustment loop or not.
[0031] Figure 4.12 is a schematic perspective view of the front and side of an optical device, such as for example a camera 5, equipped with a strap carrying harness device according to the invention, shown in the carrying position and being attached by means of two loop carabiners 6 to the carrying device itself. The lines shown in dotted lines are not visible, located behind the wearer's body. The diagram describes the path followed by the strap of the carrying harness device, to provide it with the qualities of stability and mobility of the optical device 5 required in operational mode. The ends of the strap are connected to each other by a fastening member 7. The strap forms a closed loop of adjustable diameter. The horizontal rear return strap 2 passes behind the back, at waist or bust height. The right and left thoracic side straps 3, threaded into the loops of the attachment carabiners 6, rise along the torso to tie the cervical area to the posterior part of the neck. The optical or other system is anchored to the attachment systems 6 on the anterior face of the abdomen or torso, which makes the sliding zones integral with each other. In this example, a camera 5 is connected by means of two carabiners mounted on loops 6 which ensure its mobility along the right and left thoracic side straps 3. The camera 5, subject to the laws of gravity, slides along the right and left lateral straps 3, therefore called sliding zones 8, and creates a vertical force of gravity 12 which wedges the camera 5 in the low position on the anterior part of the abdomen or torso of the wearer of the camera. The body of the camera wearer creates a kind of natural pulley at the back which allows the horizontal rear return strap 2 to transmit a return force 13 towards the rear which presses and ensures the stability of the camera 5 to the front part of the abdomen or torso. In this way, the transport of the optical device in operational mode is stable.
[0032] Figure 5.12 is a slight rear perspective view of the strap carrying device according to the invention which represents the rear part of the carrying device. It allows the path of the horizontal rear return strap 2 to be visualized at the rear of the body. At the rear part of the back, on the horizontal rear return strap 2, an adjustment buckle 7 can be seen which allows both, in this example, to securely connect the two ends of the strap and to adjust the harness to the morphology and clothing of the user of the optical device, but it could be any other type of simple or adjustment buckle. It also represents the cervical strap 1 which ties the rear part of the neck.
[0033] Figure 6.12 is a side view which shows the right sliding zone 8 of the right thoracic strap 3. The cervical strap 1 which ties the posterior part of the neck as well as the horizontal rear return strap 2 with its adjustment buckle 7. The optical device 5, subjected to both the gravity force 12 and the return force 13 towards the rear, is naturally positioned in the low position pressed against the abdomen or the torso of the carrier.
[0034] Figure 7.12 is a schematic side view which allows the strap or rope carrying harness device according to the invention to be visualized during the proper handling of the optical device 5. In this example, the photographer takes hold of the camera 5 with his hands and brings the viewfinder to eye level to take a photo. The horizontal rear return strap 2 is relaxed, the rear return and gravity forces are zero, the harness relaxes. The camera 5 is now free to slide along the right and left chest straps 3 which allows the handling of the camera along the sliding zones 8 in its proper function.
[0035] Figure 8.12 shows the intermediate relay parts 10 that can be added to the carrying harness device in the case where their direct attachment to the attachment systems 11 on the body of the camera 5 is impossible or unsatisfactory. For example, here it is split rings that play the role of intermediate relay parts 10.
[0036] Figures 9.12, 10.12, 11.12 and 12.12 describe the protocol for installing the strap-carrying harness device of an optical or other system according to the invention on a person, who for this example, is a photographer.
[0037] Figure 9.12 describes how to pass the body through the ring created by the strap, then bring said strap horizontally to waist height. The right hooking system 6 forward held by the right hand and the left hooking system 6 forward held in the left hand.
[0038] Figure 10.12 shows how, while continuing to hold the right attachment system 6 with the right hand and the left attachment system 6 with the left hand, the strap located between the two right and left attachment systems 6 must be passed behind the head and position it behind the neck.
[0039] Figure 11.12 shows how to anchor the camera 5 either directly or by means of an intermediate attachment relay part 10 to the right and left attachment system 11 provided for this purpose on the body of the optical device 5.
[0040] Figure 12.12 shows how, using the buckle or adjustment system 7, the transport harness device can be adapted to the morphology and clothing of its user.
