Title of the invention: DEVICE FOR STORING, TRANSPORTING AND INSTALLING ELECTRICAL WIRES AND CABLES
[0001] The present invention relates to a device for storing, transporting and installing electrical wires and cables.
[0002] The invention belongs to the field of equipment for electric wires and electric cables in various sectors, such as construction or industry.
[0003] When an electrician installs electrical wires, it is sometimes difficult for him to unwind the wire from a crown, because it is likely to move on the ground.
[0004] Furthermore, the length of wire remaining inside the crown is not directly readable, nor even easily estimable.
[0005] Furthermore, once the packaging of a wire crown is opened, it is generally not easy to identify the value of the wire section other than by reading the data indicated on the wire itself.
[0006] Furthermore, in the case of using reels, it is generally necessary to have a dedicated tool per wire to carry out the unwinding of this wire. As many tools as there are wires are therefore required, which is not practical.
[0007] It is known to equip certain reels with an unwinder to facilitate the laying of cables. It is also known to equip certain crowns with a wire guide.
[0008] However, at present, there is no device which integrates the functions of storing, transporting and installing electrical wires or cables.
[0009] The present invention aims to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art.
[0010] For this purpose, the present invention proposes a device for storing, transporting and installing electric wires or cables, remarkable in that it comprises a base panel, an upper panel parallel to the base panel and at least two fixing elements connecting the base panel and the upper panel, at least one cylinder on which an electric wire or cable is wound, the cylinder having a central space along its entire length, the space allowing an axis of predetermined geometric shape to pass through, fitting into a predetermined location in the base panel and in the upper panel, the cylinder being movable in rotation around the aforementioned axis.
[0011] Thus, the present invention covers, in a compact and very easy-to-use form, all the functionalities of storing, transporting and installing electrical wires or cables. It offers a saving of time during installation, a reduction in risks linked to handling, a limitation of the scrap rate and presents a reduced environmental footprint thanks to the sustainable nature of the transport and storage solution and easier waste collection.

[0042] As shown in [Fig.l], in a particular embodiment, a device 10 for storing, transporting and installing electric wires or cables according to the present invention comprises a base panel 12, a parallel upper panel 14 to the base panel 12 and at least two fixing elements 16 connecting the base panel 12 and the upper panel 14.
[0043] Furthermore, the device 10 comprises one or more cylinders 18. On each cylinder 18 is wound an electric wire or an electric cable so as to form a coil of wire or a coil of cable.

Device (10) for storing, transporting and installing electric wires or cables, comprising a base panel (12), an upper panel (14) parallel to said base panel (12) and at least two fixing elements (16) connecting said base panel (12) and said upper panel (14), at least one cylinder (18) on which an electric wire or cable is wound, said cylinder (18) having a central space (20) over its entire length, said space (20) allowing an axis (22) of predetermined geometric shape to pass therethrough, fitting at a predetermined location (24) in said base panel (12) and in said upper panel (14), said cylinder (18) being movable in rotation about said axis, characterized in that said at least two fixing elements (16) are straps of adjustable length.
2. Device (10) according to claim 1, characterized in that said at least one cylinder (18) has flat upper and lower faces indicating the value of the section of said wire or cable.
3. Device (10) according to claim 2, characterized in that said upper and lower flat faces indicate the value of the section of said wire or cable by a color code.
4. Device (10) according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that said at least one cylinder (18) is made of cardboard.
5. Device (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it further comprises a carrying case.

Device (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said base panel (12) and said upper panel (14) have, in the region of said predetermined location (24) of nesting of said axis, a series of marks (40) indicating the remaining quantity of wire or cable wound around said cylinder (18).
7. Device (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said base panel (12) and / or said upper panel (14) comprises at least one wire-holding eyelet (50) adapted to receive one end of said wire or cable.
8. Device (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it further comprises a carrying handle (17) on said upper panel (14).
9. Device (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it further comprises a carrying strap on said base panel (12) or on said upper panel (14).

Refill for a device (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a cylinder (18) on which an electric wire or cable is wound, said cylinder (18) having a central space (20) over its entire length and having flat upper and lower faces indicating the value of the section of said wire or cable, said cylinder (18) being made of cardboard.
13. Refill according to claim 12, characterized in that said upper and lower flat faces indicate the value of the section of said wire or cable by a color code.
