Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and system for controlling a water tank (1) connected via a first upstream inlet (11) to a rainwater harvesting source (2) and via a first downstream outlet (21) to an irrigation zone (3). For this purpose, computer means receive at least one first weather forecast data point from a remote device and at least one second local conditions data point from a set of sensors (31…36). The information means process said first and second data points to generate a control program for said tank (1) comprising a plurality of actuation commands and actuate said first inlet (11) and / or said first outlet (21) according to said program.
