Description

Title of the invention: Learning device for electronic piano

[0001] The technical context of the present invention is that of music teaching aids, in particular devices for supporting piano practice, and more specifically the electronic piano. More particularly, the invention relates to a learning device for electronic piano.

[0002] Piano is a discipline that requires a long learning time. For a student to progress, a traditional learning method is to take lessons with an instructor. In addition to these lessons, the student must practice regularly and repetitively. Through these repetitive exercises, the student can achieve a certain dexterity. He learns to play a piece of music in just a few words by playing a succession of expected notes. A student is often alone to practice these exercises, particularly for financial reasons. Training alone can be difficult, tiring and discouraging, especially for novice students, while perseverance and personal investment are the keys to success in this type of practice.

[0003] In the state of the art, electronic piano instruction devices are known which are intended to assist a user in learning the piano. In particular, electronic piano instruction devices are known which enable a user to be guided by light signals indicating which key or chord to play and when to play it. These devices complement, and sometimes even replace, the traditional learning method involving an instructor, by allowing the user to learn music and to progress through electronically guided and autonomous training.

[0004] Among these electronic piano instruction devices, we know of electronic pianos integrating a light device within the keys of their keyboard. For example, the LK-S250 and LK-S450 beginner keyboards, marketed by CASIO, are light keyboards. They each have 61 light keys that can each light up and turn off, each independently and according to a given digital score. In these light keyboards, each key that is lit identifies the note(s) to be played to guide the user in learning the piano. The user then knows where to place their fingers to play the score. Such a device allows intuitive and fun learning of the notes, in complete autonomy.

[0005] The disadvantage of these keyboards is that the light device is intrinsic to the keys. In other words, the light device is an integral part of the keyboard: the light device and the keyboard cannot be separated from each other without it is damaged, the light device and the keyboard forming an inseparable unit. By being inseparable from the keyboard, the light device cannot be moved from one electronic piano to another as the user moves around, and if the user changes instruments. Such a keyboard is suitable for beginners. It becomes useless once the user has mastered their playing and, very often, a new piano is purchased as a replacement.

[0006] Electronic piano instruction devices are also known that are external to the keyboard and designed to cooperate alternately with several electronic pianos. These removable instruction devices make it possible to equip electronic pianos that, as standard, do not have instruction functions as with light keyboards. These removable instruction devices offer a mobile alternative to light keyboards and make it possible to transform a conventional electronic piano into a learning piano at will.

[0007] Among these electronic piano instruction devices, the system described in patent document US6407324B1 is known. The system described in patent document US6407324B1 relates to a piano instruction device comprising a frame positionable on the keyboard of a piano, resting on the black keys, and two rows of light means each provided with a plurality of LEDs. These two rows are positioned along the frame and intended to overhang each note. Red LEDs are included on the lower row intended to guide the playing of the left hand and green LEDs are included on the upper row to guide the playing of the right hand. When a piece, which has been encrypted in a computer chip of the device, is selected, the notes to be played will be lit in red or green depending on the hand that will play this note at that time.

[0008] A disadvantage of this instruction device lies in the volume occupied by such a device. Indeed, the frame comprising the LEDs forms a bar configured to extend over a large part of the piano keyboard. Such a frame, although removable, is bulky, impractical to move and store when not in use.

[0009] The object of the present invention is to propose a new learning device for electronic piano in order to respond at least to a large extent to the preceding problems and to further lead to other advantages.

[0010] Another object of the invention is to propose a learning device for an electronic piano which is compact, guaranteeing the compactness and lightness of said learning device.

[0011] Another object of the invention is to propose a learning device for an electronic piano which is removable from the electronic piano which it is intended to equip.

[0012] Another object of the invention is to propose a learning device for an electronic piano which is easier to mount on the electronic piano.

[0013] Another object of the invention is to propose a learning device for an electronic piano which is easy to disassemble.

[0014] Another aim of the invention is to propose a learning device for an electronic piano which is simple, both from the point of view of its implementation and from the point of view of its manufacture.

[0015] Another object of the invention is to propose a learning device for an electronic piano configured to limit the number of operations necessary for its assembly, so as to optimize the production time of said learning device.

[0016] Another object of the invention is to provide a learning device for electronic pianos which is universal and configured to adapt to different types of electronic pianos.

[0017] According to a first aspect of the invention, at least one of the aforementioned objectives is achieved with a learning device for an electronic piano, the learning device comprising: (i) a processing unit comprising a housing housing an electronic control module configured to be controlled by a remote peripheral terminal; (ii) a light strip being configured to generate visual guidance of at least one note to be played when said light strip is mounted on a keyboard of the electronic piano, characterized in that the light strip is flexible and is removably connected to the processing unit by wiring.

A control screen forming an interface of The electronic control module control is transferred to the remote peripheral terminal. The remote peripheral terminal includes the control screen. An example of a remote peripheral terminal is a computer, a digital tablet and / or a telephone.

[0021] In the learning device according to the first aspect of the invention, data from the remote peripheral terminal is transmitted to a user by the electronic control module in light form. The data from the remote peripheral terminal is transmitted by the electronic control module in light form at the flexible light strip.

[0022] In the learning device according to the first aspect of the invention, the light strip is configured to be mounted on a keyboard of the electronic piano. When the light strip is mounted on the keyboard of the piano, the light strip can be used to guide a user in learning the piano. When the light strip is dissociated from the keyboard of the piano, the light strip can be stored. By "mounted", it is understood that the light strip is intended to cooperate with the keyboard of the electronic piano. In a first exemplary embodiment, the light strip is intended to be placed on keys forming the keyboard of the piano. In a second exemplary embodiment, the light strip is intended to be placed on a casing of the piano comprising the keyboard and along the keyboard of the electronic piano. In a third exemplary embodiment, the light strip is intended to be fixed securely to the casing of the electronic piano and along the keyboard of the electronic piano. In a fourth exemplary embodiment, the light strip is intended to be fixed securely to the keys forming the keyboard of the electronic piano.

In this configuration, the light strip is configured to identify each key of the keyboard of the electronic piano independently so that the user identifies the at least one note to be played.

[0025] In the learning device according to the first aspect of the invention, the light strip is flexible. By flexible is meant that the light strip is provided flexibility. The flexible light strip can bend. It is understood that the flexible light strip can bend without breaking. The flexible light strip can be wound on itself and / or folded. In particular, the flexible light strip can be wound on itself and / or folded for storage and / or arrangement. It is understood that, when implemented and mounted on a keyboard of the electronic piano, the light strip extends flat on the keyboard. When flat, the light strip is straight. In other words, when flat, the light strip is without bends. Depending on the use made of it, the flexible light strip can be straight or folded and / or wound.

[0026] In the learning device according to the first aspect of the invention, the light strip is removably connected to the processing unit by wiring. By being removably connected to the processing unit by wiring, the light strip can be detached from the processing unit. In other words, the processing unit and the light strip can be detached from each other without compromising their respective integrity. The light strip can be detached from the processing unit so that the light strip, the processing unit and the wiring can be stored and / or arranged in an optimal manner. With a light strip removably connected to the processing unit, the storage and arrangement of the learning device is advantageously facilitated. Such a configuration ensures the compactness of the learning device when it is stored and / or arranged.Furthermore, such a configuration facilitates maintenance of the learning device. In particular, when the light strip needs to be replaced or when the user wants to modify it, a light strip removably connected to the processing unit is particularly advantageous. This is also the case when the processing unit requires repair.
