Title of the invention: Bumper frame having an interfaced foot.

[0001] The technical field relates to bumper frames, as well as the front faces of vehicles equipped with such frames and finally vehicles having such a front face.

[0002] In terms of road safety, car manufacturers must consider numerous concerns and regulations when developing new vehicles. Thus, car manufacturers must ensure the safety of vehicle occupants in the event of a collision, but also protect other vulnerable road users such as pedestrians. Finally, it is important to try to control the repair costs of vehicles subjected to urban impacts, known as repairability impacts, sustained at low speeds of around 15 to 20 kilometers per hour.

[0003] In this context, some vehicles are equipped with a bumper frame to support body components such as the bumper crossmember and thus connect an outer bumper skin to the vehicle structure. Bumper support frame (1) for equipping a front face (2) of a motor vehicle, the frame (1) having at least one interfaced foot (4) having a free end (5) having a first fixing interface (6) designed to cooperate with a second fixing interface (11), designed to be secured with a bumper crossmember (9), the first (6) and second (11) fixing interfaces being designed to be assembled together to allow relative sliding of the first (6) and second (11) interfaces along a preferred direction (DP) while prohibiting relative displacement of the first (6) and second (11) interfaces along a blocked direction (DB), characterized in that the blocked direction corresponds to the vertical direction of the front face (2) when the frame (1) is mounted on the front face (2),and in that one (6) of the first (6) or second (11) interfaces comprises a clip (14) designed to be inserted into an oblong opening (15) formed in the other (11) of the first (6) and second (11) interfaces and oriented along the preferred direction (DP), when the first (6) and second (11) interfaces are assembled.

2. Reinforcement (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one rib (21) is provided on the first (6) or the second (11) interface, each rib (21) being dimensioned to allow sliding between the first (6) and second (11) interfaces.

Armature (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that one (6) of the first (6) and second (11) interfaces is provided with guiding means (22) designed to limit the relative displacement of the first (6) and second (11) interfaces along a direction orthogonal to the blocked (DB) and preferred (DP) directions.

4. Frame (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it comprises in addition to the interfaced foot (4), two other lateral feet (7) shaped so that their respective ends (8) are designed to be fixed to the cross member (9) on either side of the interfaced foot (4).

5. A frame (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the second interface (11) is provided on a bracket (12) designed to be fixed on the cross member (9), the second interface (11) then being arranged on an upper face (13) of the cross member (9).

6. Front face (2) comprising a frame according to any one of claims 1 to 5 and having a cross member (9) on which the second interface (11) is fixed, the first (6) and second (11) interfaces being assembled together.

7. Front face (2) according to claim 6, characterized in that the preferred direction (DP) corresponds to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
