Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Reinforced parking barrier
[0001] The invention relates to the private use of parking spaces, and in particular to parking barriers intended to block the untimely use of a private space.
[0002] A widely used parking barrier has three posts fixed to the ground. A hoop is pivotally mounted relative to two of the posts and generally has a U-shape with a mid-section. A telescopic strut is pivotally mounted relative to a third post at one end, and has a ring encircling the mid-section at the other end. In the closed position, the hoop is raised and the telescopic strut is retracted. In the open position, the hoop is folded against the ground and the telescopic strut is extended and folded against the ground.
[0003] Such a parking barrier may prove relatively fragile during an uncontrolled maneuver of a vehicle. Thus, contact with a vehicle may render the barrier unusable, for example by destroying the strut or its ground stud. Furthermore, parking maneuvers may cause the vehicle to roll over the barrier and lead to its deterioration.
[0004] The invention aims to solve one or more of these drawbacks. The invention thus relates to a parking barrier for a private space, comprising: - a ground anchoring system; - a hoop mounted to pivot relative to the anchoring system around a transverse direction and comprising a beam extending in the transverse direction; - a telescopic strut having a first end pivotally mounted relative to the ground anchoring system around the longitudinal direction and a second end pivotally mounted relative to said beam around the longitudinal direction, the strut comprising a first upright provided with a first tube slidably mounted relative to a first guide, the strut comprising a second upright provided with a second tube slidably mounted relative to a second guide, the first upright being provided with a locking device selectively immobilizing the travel of the first tube relative to the first guide in a first intermediate position, the second guide being provided with a stop interfering with the second tube to restrict its sliding at a second intermediate position.
[0005] The invention also relates to the following variants. Those skilled in the art will understand that each of the features of the following variants can be independently combined with the above features, without constituting an intermediate generalization.
[0006] According to a variant, the strut comprises a crosspiece fixed to the first tube and to the second tube.
[0007] According to another variant, the second tube is in the second intermediate sliding position when the first upright is immobilized in said first intermediate position by the locking device.
[0008] According to another variant, the ground anchoring system comprises first and second plates relative to which the first and second guides are respectively pivotally mounted, said stop being interposed between the second tube and the second plate.
[0009] According to yet another variant, said plates each have four ground anchoring holes.
[0010] According to yet another variant, the locking device comprises a lug which selectively engages or retracts relative to the first tube.
[0011] According to a variant, the stop forms a shoulder surrounding the second guide.
[0012] According to another variant, the first and second tubes respectively comprise first and second rings surrounding said beam.
[0013] According to another variant, the barrier further comprises a base provided with a recessed imprint, in which the hoop and the strut are housed in a folded position.
[0014] According to a variant, said base comprises an elastomer layer in which the imprint is formed and coming at least at the level of the arch and the strut in their folded position.
[0015] Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge clearly from the description given below, for information purposes only and in no way limiting, with reference to the appended drawings, in which:

[0022] [Fig.7] is a perspective view of a third exemplary embodiment of a parking barrier according to the invention in the open position;
[0023] [Fig-8] is a top view of the barrier of [Fig.7] in the open position.
[0024] [Fig. 1] is a perspective view of a first exemplary embodiment of a parking barrier 1 according to the invention in the closed position. [Fig. 2] is a side view of the parking barrier 1. [Fig. 3] is a perspective view of the parking barrier 1 in the open position.
[0025] The parking barrier 1 comprises a ground anchoring system, a hoop 2 and a telescopic strut 3. These different elements are advantageously made from metal, for example steel.
[0026] The ground anchoring system here comprises two plates 43 and 44 for the hoop 2 and two plates 41 and 42 for the strut 3. Each plate 41 to 44 could for example have four ground anchoring points, typically four holes for screw bodies.
[0027] The hoop 2 is pivotally mounted relative to the ground anchoring system about a transverse direction. The hoop 2 can for example pivot between an open or folded position illustrated in [Fig. 3], and a closed or raised position illustrated in Figures 1 and 2. The hoop 2 comprises a beam 23 extending in the transverse direction. The beam 23 is intended to form a height stop for a vehicle. The beam 23 is here secured to the anchoring system by means of vertical uprights 21 and 22. The vertical uprights 21 and 22 are here secured to the plates 43 and 44.
[0028] The telescopic strut 3 is also pivotally mounted in the direction longitudinal relative to the ground anchoring system by a first end. The first end of the strut 3 is here secured to the plates 41 and 42. A second end of the strut 3 is pivotally mounted relative to the beam 23 around the longitudinal direction.
[0029] The strut 3 comprises a first upright 31 provided with a first tube 311 mounted to slide relative to a first guide 313 and a second upright 32 provided with a second tube 312 mounted to slide relative to a second guide 314. The sliding of the tubes 311 and 312 relative to the guides 313 and 314 respectively makes it possible to make the strut 3 telescopic and to allow the pivoting of the arch 2.
[0030] The first upright 31 is provided with a locking device 317 selectively immobilizing the travel of the first tube 311 relative to the first guide 313 in a first intermediate position of their relative sliding. By intermediate position, it is meant that the sliding of the tube 311 could continue in the direction of the ground anchoring system in the absence of immobilization by the locking device 317.
[0031] The second guide 314 is provided with a stop 318 interfering with the second tube 312 to restrict its sliding at a second intermediate position. By intermediate position, it is meant that the sliding of the tube 312 could continue towards the ground anchoring system in the absence of immobilization by the stop 318. The stop can be secured to the guide 314 as a fusible mechanical element, intended to absorb most of the forces and limit damage to the rest of the barrier, in order to facilitate repair work.
[0032] Thus, the strut is held in the closed position and locked in an intermediate sliding position, which makes it possible to avoid forcing the ground anchoring system in the event of an untimely impact with the barrier 1. The stop 318 is here interposed between the second tube 312 and the plate 42 to protect the latter. Furthermore, each upright 31 and 32 has its own intermediate position hold, which makes it possible to balance the forces on the two uprights 31 and 32 and to limit the risks of twisting of the system in the event of an untimely impact.
[0033] In particular, the second tube 312 is in the second intermediate sliding position when the first upright 31 is immobilized in said first intermediate position by the locking device 317.
[0034] In order to further reinforce the barrier 1 and facilitate the transmission of forces between the uprights 31 and 32, the strut 3 comprises a crosspiece 33 fixed to the first tube 311 and to the second tube 312.
[0035] Figures 4 and 5 schematically illustrate an example of a locking device 317 in partial sectional view. The locking device 317 here comprises a body fixed inside the guide 313. The locking device 317 also comprises a lock cylinder 310, capable of sliding out of the body when it is released by a key. The tube 311 is provided with an orifice 319, which is positioned opposite the cylinder for a relative intermediate sliding position between the guide 312 and the tube 311. In [Fig. 5], the cylinder 310 is slid out of its body and forms a lug engaging with the tube 311 to lock the sliding. Conversely, in [Fig. 4], the cylinder 310 is retracted into the body and set back relative to the tube 311.
[0036] In the example illustrated, the tubes 311 and 312 respectively comprise respective rings 315 and 316 which surround the beam 23 and form a pivoting connection.
[0037] [Fig. 6] is a side view of an example of a second embodiment of the barrier 1. In this example, the stop 318 forms a shoulder surrounding the second guide 314.
[0038] Figures 7 and 8 illustrate an example of a third embodiment of the barrier 1. In this example, the barrier further comprises a base 5 provided with a recessed imprint 51, in which the hoop 2 and the strut 3 are housed. in a folded position. The imprint 51 may also include openings for the passage of the plates 41 to 44. Such a base 5 makes it possible to protect the arch 2 and the strut 3 when a vehicle maneuvers and rolls over the barrier 1.
[0039] The base 5 comprises for example an elastomer layer in which the imprint 51 is formed and coming at least in height at the level of the arch 2 and the strut 3 in their folded position.
