Description

Title of the invention: CLIP FOR FIXING A PHOTOVOLTAIC PANEL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of fixing means, and more particularly to means for fixing panels, for example photovoltaic panels, on rails.

[0002] In particular, the invention relates to a clip for fixing panels to rails. In particular, the clip is configured to allow the panel to be fixed and clamped against the rail. TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0003] Document US9160273 discloses a fixing kit for fixing a panel, and in particular a solar panel, on a rail. In this regard, and as illustrated in [Fig.7] of document US9160273, the fixing kit comprises a holding element 31, a bolt 30 and a slide element 1.

[0004] In operation, the assembly formed by these three elements is arranged between two adjacent panels resting on a rail 8. More particularly, the assembly comprises, in order and starting from the rail, the slide element 1, the bolt 30 and the holding element 31. The holding element 31 comprises a metal plate provided with opposite edges, called holding edges, and each intended to be held tight against an upper peripheral portion 36 of the frame of two adjacent panels. The slide element 1 is in sliding connection with the rail 8 and the bolt 30 makes it possible to ensure the tightening of the two holding edges. In particular, the bolt 30, passing through the holding element, is screwed into a tapped hole in an upper portion of the slide element 1, in order to allow the tightening of the holding element against each of two adjacent panels.

[0005] However, this fixing kit implementing tightening by means of a bolt or a screw is not satisfactory.

[0006] Indeed, the bolt may, over time and for example under the effect of temperature variations, loosen. This loosening has the effect of reducing the holding force exerted by the holding element on the panel, and may ultimately lead to a separation of said panel and the rail. By a knock-on effect, the adjacent panels may also see their attachment to the rail reduced and in turn separate from said rail.

[0007] Furthermore, the slide element, which is difficult to access, can hardly be replaced if necessary.

[0008] Document EP2867541 proposes a fixing apparatus making it possible to overcome these problems. This fixing apparatus is in particular a single piece and is provided with snap-fastening means intended to cooperate with the rail. However, the implementation of this fixing apparatus requires considering relatively wide, and therefore more expensive, rails in order to allow easier disassembly when the situation requires it.

[0009] However, there are situations in which such a fixing device does not allow a photovoltaic panel to be firmly clamped on a rail. In particular, a panel fixed to a rail by means of said fixing device is likely, under the action of low stresses, to slide along the rail.

[0010] An aim of the present invention is therefore to propose a clip, allowing the firm fixing of a panel against a rail.

[0011] Another object of the present invention is also to provide a fixing kit provided with a rail and at least one clip.

[0012] Another object of the present invention is also to propose a holding member making it possible to firmly fix a rail to a surface and in particular a roof. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0051] The present invention relates to a clip configured to allow the fixing of a panel, and in particular a photovoltaic panel, on a rail.

[0052] More particularly, the clip according to the present invention is configured to secure the frame supporting the photovoltaic panel to the rail.

[0053] Thus, the present invention relates to a clip for fixing a photovoltaic panel, provided with a frame, against a face, called the upper face of a rail, said rail having an elongated shape in a direction X, said clip comprising:

[0054] - a main body provided with two holding slots parallel to each other and closing by a face, called insertion face, of said main body, the holding slots being configured to receive, by the insertion face and in an engagement direction, a flat section of a frame of the photovoltaic panel;

[0055] - two flexible fins secured to the main body and configured to allow the snap-fastening of the main body by the upper face of the rail and in a snap-fastening direction normal to the main face and perpendicular to the X direction;

[0056] - a spring means configured to take up any play that may occur between the main body and the rail when said body is snapped into said rail.

[0057] According to the present invention, the spring means makes it possible to force the flexible fins against the rail.

[0058] In [Fig.l], a section of a panel 1 can be seen, along a cutting plane perpendicular to said panel 1. The panel is in particular provided with a frame 2 holding said panel 1 over its entire periphery. The frame 2 comprises in this respect a contour wall 2a, essentially perpendicular to the surface formed by the panel 1 and by which the panel is held to the frame 2. More particularly, the panel 1 can be held at, or close to, an upper edge of the contour wall 2a. The frame 2 also comprises a return 2b which is essentially flat and folded inwardly from a lower edge of the contour wall 2a and opposite the upper edge. The return 2b is in particular flat and in a plane parallel to the plane formed by the panel 1. Furthermore, the width of the return 2b is essentially constant over the entire periphery of the frame 2.

[0059] [Fig. 2] is an illustration of a rail 3 capable of being implemented within the framework of a first embodiment of the present invention. The rail 3 has an elongated shape and extends in particular in a direction X. The rail 3 comprises from a lower face to an upper face (opposite the lower face) a shoe 4, a central core 5. In particular, the shoe 4 is flat and is delimited on the one hand by the lower face 3a and an intermediate face 4a, opposite the lower face 3a.

[0060] The central core 5, of generally planar shape, extends perpendicularly and from the intermediate face 4a. The central core comprises in particular two main faces 5a and 5b, connected by a main edge 6 opposite the lower face 3a. The main edge 6 may have a widened shape with respect to the core 5. In particular, the widening may be formed by two ribs, called main ribs, arranged on either side of the main edge 6.

[0061] The rail 3 also comprises two snap-in ribs 7a and 7b arranged, res respectively, on one and the other of the two main faces 5a and 5b, at a distance from the main edge 6, and which extend in the direction X.

[0062] [Fig. 3] is a schematic representation, in perspective view, of a staple 100 according to the first embodiment of the present invention.

[0063] In particular, the clip 100, according to this first embodiment, may comprise two side walls 102a and 102b as well as an upper wall 103 connecting the two side walls 102a and 102b. More particularly, the two side walls 102a and 102b extend respectively from two opposite edges of the upper wall 103. For example, the two side walls 102a and 102b may be symmetrical to each other with respect to a median plane of the two edges from which they extend and perpendicular to the upper wall 103. Still by way of example, the two side walls may be parallel to each other.

[0064] These last two aspects are not such as to limit the scope of the present invention. Also, those skilled in the art will be able to consider side walls that are not symmetrical and / or not parallel to each other.

[0065] The main body 101 also comprises a face, called the insertion face 105, delimited in part by free edges of the side walls 102a and 102b and of the upper wall 103.

[0066] Furthermore, the side walls 102a and 102b according to this first embodiment are arranged to allow the insertion of the core 5 of the rail shown in [Fig.2] between the two side walls 102a and 102b and by a face of the main body 101 opposite the upper wall 103.

[0067] Furthermore, the main body 101 comprises two holding slots 104a and 104b parallel to each other and opening out through the insertion face 105. The holding slots 104a and 104b are configured to receive, through the insertion face 105 and in an engagement direction, a flat section of a frame of the photovoltaic panel. It is understood that the engagement direction is defined by the direction of extension of the holding slots 104a and 104b. In particular, the holding slots 104a and 104b may extend in a direction normal to the insertion face 105.

[0068] Thus, [Fig.4] represents the clip 100 with a flat section 2b of the frame 2 of the photovoltaic panel 1 engaged in the holding slots 104a and 104b by the insertion face 105.

[0069] The clip 100 is also configured to be engaged with the rail 3, and more particularly in a snap-on engagement. To this end, the clip 100 comprises two flexible fins 106a and 106b secured to the main body 101 and configured to allow the snap-on of the main body 101 by the upper face 3b of the rail 3 (shown in [Fig.2]) and in a snap-on direction normal to the main face 3b and perpendicular to the direction X.

[0070] Thus, [Fig.5] illustrates a first phase of engagement of the rail 3 between the side walls of the clip 100. More particularly, the rail 3 is engaged between the side walls 102a and 102b by a face of the main body 101 opposite the upper wall 103.

[0071] [Fig. 6] illustrates a second phase of engagement of the rail 3 between the side walls of the clip 100. In particular, at the end of this second phase, the main body 101 is in snap-on engagement with the rail 3. More particularly, and according to this first embodiment, the flexible fins 106a and 106b are configured to snap-on with, respectively, the snap-on rib 7a and the snap-on rib 7b.

[0072] The flexible fin 106a is carried by the side wall 102a, while the flexible fin 106b is carried by the side wall 102b.

[0073] More particularly, the flexible fin 106a extends from an edge, called the lower edge, of the side wall 106a opposite the upper wall 103.

[0074] Equivalently, the flexible fin 106b extends from an edge, called the lower edge, of the side wall 106b opposite the upper wall 103.

[0075] The two flexible fins 106a and 106b may extend internally to the main body 101 and convergently towards the upper wall 103.

[0076] Alternatively, each of the flexible fins 106a and 106b may extend from outside the main body 101 and pass through the side wall 102a and 102b carrying the flexible fin in question. According to this alternative, each flexible fin 106a and 106b may comprise, from the lower edge of the side wall which carries it, a curved section 107a, 107b and a flat section 108a, 108b whose free end is intended to cooperate directly with a snap-fastening rib 7a, 7b.

[0077] Advantageously, and whatever the alternative considered, each flexible fin can end with points intended to scratch the rail.

[0078] The clip 100 according to the present invention also comprises a spring means configured to take up any play that may occur between the main body 101 and the rail 3 when said main body 101 is snapped into said rail 3.

[0079] In particular, the spring means is configured to impose a force, by spring effect, on the main body 101 in a direction opposite to the latching direction. In particular, this force makes it possible to abut the ends of the flexible fins against, respectively, one and the other of the latching ribs.

[0080] Thus and advantageously, the spring means is configured to bear against the upper face 3b of the rail 3.

[0081] According to a first variant, the spring means may comprise at least one support tab which extends from the main body 101 and which is intended to bear by one of its ends, called the free end, against the main edge 6 of the rail 3. when the main body 101 is snap-engaged with the rail 3.

[0082] By way of example and as illustrated in [Fig. 3], the at least one support tab may comprise a single support tab 109. In particular, the support tab 109 may extend from a rear edge of the upper wall 103, said rear edge being opposite the insertion face 105. The support tab 109 is furthermore configured to bear by its free end against the main edge 6 of the rail 3.

[0083] According to another example illustrated in [Fig.7], the at least one support tab may comprise two support tabs 109a and 109b. In particular, the support tabs 109a and 109b may each extend from a lateral edge of the upper wall 103. More particularly, the support tabs 109a and 109b may extend convergently and internally to the main body. The support tabs 109a and 109b are further configured to bear by their free end against the main edge 6 of the rail 3.

[0084] It is understood that a side edge of the top wall is an edge from which a side wall extends.

[0085] According to a variant of this first embodiment illustrated in [Fig.8], the spring means may comprise an elastic wedge 111 configured to be interposed between the upper face 3b of the rail 3 and the flat section 2b of the photovoltaic frame. This elastic wedge 111 may advantageously comprise a polymer material and in particular EPDM.

[0086] The elastic wedge 111 can take the form of a rectangular parallelepiped.

[0087] Advantageously, the clip also comprises a secondary tab 110, folded internally to the main block 101, and which is intended to come to bear by its free end against a face of the flat section engaged in the holding slots 104a and 104b.

[0088] Advantageously, the secondary tongue 110 is terminated by at least one point intended to scratch the face of the flat section on which it rests.

[0089] Furthermore, the secondary tongue 110 is advantageously oriented, from its origin towards its free end, from the insertion face towards a face of the main body opposite the insertion face.

[0090] [Fig.9] is a schematic representation of a staple 100 according to a second embodiment of the present invention.

[0091] This clip is in particular intended to cooperate with the rail illustrated in [Fig. 10].

[0092] In particular, the rail 3 comprises a “U” section. In this regard, the rail 3 comprises a base 8a surmounted by side walls 8b whose edges, called attachment edges 8c, are folded or rolled internally.

[0093] The clip 100 according to this second embodiment essentially takes up all of the characteristics of the first embodiment and differs from it in that the clip is configured to be in snap-in engagement with internally curved edges of a rail having a U-shaped section and in that the two flexible fins 106a and 106b extend in a divergent manner so as to cooperate by snap-in with the curved edges.

[0094] In particular, each flexible fin 106a and 106b extends externally to the main body 101 and from an edge of the side wall 102a and 102b carrying the flexible fin in question, said edge being opposite the upper wall 103.

[0095] More particularly, the two flexible fins extend in a divergent manner from one another, from their origin towards their free end, in a direction going from a face opposite the upper wall towards said upper wall 103.

[0096] The at least one support tab may comprise two support tabs 109a and 109b. In particular, the support tabs 109a and 109b may each extend from a lateral edge of the upper wall 103. More particularly, the support tabs 109a and 109b may extend divergently and externally to the main body. The support tabs 109a and 109b are further configured to bear by their free end each against a curved edge.

[0097] Thus, the implementation of the staple comprises at least two steps called, respectively, first step and second step.

[0098] The first step involves inserting a flat section of the chassis through the insertion face into the holding slots ([Fig. 11])

[0099] The second step comprises the insertion of the clip 100, by a face opposite the upper wall 103, into the space of the rail formed between the two side walls 8b.

[0100] At the end of this insertion, the clip is engaged with the rail by snap-fastening of each flexible fin inside a curved edge 8c, while each flexible tab is supported against a curved edge and exerts, by spring effect, a force on the clip in a direction opposite to the snap-fastening direction. In particular, this force has the effect of putting each flexible tab in abutment by its free end against the inside of a curved edge.

[0101] The implementation of these flexible tabs, whatever the embodiment considered, allows the clip to be clicked into place with the rail without play.

[0102] The clip according to the present invention is advantageously made of metal and more particularly of aluminum.

[0103] The invention also relates to a holding member 200 for a rail 3, for example conforming to that illustrated in [Fig. 2]. In particular, the holding member 200 comprises an essentially planar central section 201 which ends at one and the other of its ends, respectively, in a hooking section 202 and in a snap-fastening section 203 ([Fig. 13] and [Fig. 14]).

[0104] In particular, the hooking section 202 is curved so as to allow the engagement of the pad 4 by one of its edges, called the first edge 9a, while the snap-fastening section 203 is configured to allow the retention, by snap-fastening against the other edge, called the second edge 9b, of the pad 4, when the first edge 9a is engaged in the gripping section. It is understood that the first edge 9a and the second edge 9b are each understood to be in the direction X of extension of the rail 3.

[0105] It is also understood that when the holding member 200 is in snap-fit engagement with the rail, the central section is opposite the lower face of the shoe 4.

[0106] The snap-in section 203 comprises, from the end of the pad from which it extends, a first section 203a and a second section 203b.

[0107] The first section 203a and the second section 203b may be flat and formed by successive foldings of a metal plate forming the holding member 200. In particular, these successive foldings involve a first folding between the central section and the first section and a second folding between the first section and the second section.

[0108] Advantageously, the holding member 200 may comprise spring blades 205 (for example 4) projecting relative to a face, called the first face, of the central section, and intended to be interposed between the lower face and the central section when said holding member is held by snap-fastening on the rail base. The spring blades 205 are in particular configured to allow mounting of the holding member 200 on the rail by snap-fastening without play.

[0109] Advantageously, the holding member 200 may comprise centering means configured to limit, or even prevent, any movement of the pad in a direction joining the two ends of the central section.

[0110] By way of example, the centering means comprise at least one shim 204 against which the second edge 9b is intended to abut during a movement of the skate in a direction going from the gripping section 202 towards the snap-fastening section 203.

[0111] The invention also relates to an assembly kit which comprises at least one clip according to the present invention as well as at least one rail.

[0112] The assembly kit may in particular comprise at least one clip in accordance with the first embodiment, at least one rail in accordance with the first embodiment and at least one holding member.

[0113] Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and variant embodiments can be made without departing from the scope of the invention as defined by the claims.
